Yea, it's obvious they're capitalizing on the "underdog with a beard" phenomenon.
But honestly, the TNA World Championship hasn't meant less than when he found the belt in the trash can IMO

The TNA belt hasn't meant anything since Hogan threw it away.

I have a love/hate relationship with TNA. I love it for a while, and then hate it for a while. It's in the hate stages now. They're losing talent, but signing people like Lashley? Why? Lashley is just as awful as he was years ago, if not worse. He can't talk, he can't work, he's just a body. For a place that used to be mostly about the wrestling, this place has went down the crapper. They let guys like AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, & Austin Aries just walk away, but then sign garbage like Lashley.

King Bálor (CM)™ if you say Eric Young copied Daniel Bryan then Bryan must have copied Chris Benoit since it's the exact story. Those stories have nothing in common at all. Did Benoit win two matches in one night? No. Did Benoit have the decked stacked against him for 6+ months? No. The only similarity was that they both made someone tap out in a triple threat...

Last I heard, Bad Influence were the only ones whose contracts were expiring, and they haven't left yet. I think you're confusing them not being on the TNA tapings for them leaving TNA. None of them left TNA.

Shame, because there was potential with this new transitional period, but TNA's paying for Bischoff & Hogan's sins by the overspending. First I've heard of it, been checking news like crazy these past few weeks. Source? I read it on Wrestlezone, but.... Ah yeah seen it now, cheers. Good for Sabin telling them where to shove it, but damn... Anyone else feel nervous at every announcement like this? I was too young to appreciate WCW's final days, but I'd imagine this must be at least a bit similar.

Good for Sabin telling them where to shove it, but damn... Anyone else feel nervous at every announcement like this? I was too young to appreciate WCW's final days, but I'd imagine this must be at least a bit similar. To me, this reminds me of ECW's final days where they barely had any mainstream stars minus Rob Van Dam and they were losing money and were barely paying the talent (in TNA's case, checks coming in weeks late from what I heard). With WCW, what killed them was the merger between Time Warner and AOL with AOL wanting nothing to do with wrestling. Spike TV actually supports TNA, despite only delivering 0.8's-1.0's. So honestly, this looks more like ECW's situation in 2001. I don't see TNA dying anytime soon unless Spike TV wants nothing to do with TNA. I think the day Spike TV gets rid of Impact will be the day TNA will be at it's final steps of closing. If Jarrett's company manages to get national TV exposure sooner than expected and if they manage to get a couple of stars that will attract a little bit on mainstream attraction, then TNA should be more scared than they should be.

This is a good sign. Maybe Jeff will think his next deal is too low and walk to WWE.
