Whether or not you think The Ultimate Warrior's energy and color compensate for his in-ring sloppiness is simply a matter of taste. The behind-the-scenes business stories can also be forgiven because in the entertainment biz, large egos clash on a regular basis.
The things that always disturbed me about Warrior (the man, not the character) were the vile words he put on Warrior's Machete. There was a time when he was a hateful individual. If you don't believe me, check out his blog. My hope for him in his final days wasn't about his career in the wrestling biz, but that he let go of the hatred he seemed to have for so many groups of people.

I loved Warrior as a kid. But I'd be blind to say he hasn't done or said somethings I disagree with over the years.
I bought the DVD but didn't take it personal. There is no denying there was hard feelings on both sides and I guess this was WWE's way of venting them. Was it the best idea, no obviously. But I think WWE has since done more than enough to extend their hand in forgiveness. Warrior moved on and forgave them so I plan on doing the same.
Now, I'm going to go put some neon on and run down my hallway!

I believe that theory was put to sleep when those letters between Vince and Warrior were leaked some time ago. The story in the DVD is that Warrior held Vince up on the spot and wouldn't go out unless he paid it. Which is wrong, Warrior demanded the money that he was owed from (I believe) Wrestlemania 7 and I don't think there was ever a threat of him no showing Summerslam. Vince and Hogan are compulsive liars. And Slaughter was fully aware of what they were going to do to Bret so I'd trust him about as far as his lisp spit travels out his mouth when he attempts to speak. Thats different than what Husker said. He was making it sound like Warrior wouldnt go out unless he got an advance on his upoming WM pay. So you are saying that Warrior never got his PREVIOUS WM pay and wanted it before he was gonna perform at SS? Anyone have a link to any of these documents. I would love to read what is what to have a better understanding then. As far as the Bret thing....I dont care WHO lies about that. That whole thing is a major black eye on pro wrestling and I attribute ALL OF IT to Bret Hart. You can say Vince, Shawn, the agents, etc all played a role in this or that. And thats true. But the bottom line of it is Vince is the booker....he said drop the belt to Shawn....you drop it to Shawn. You can raise issue, make suggestions, plead your case....but when the final decision is made, you do what is asked. Montreal has been discussed at length here numerous times. Either you don't know the facts in which case you should look into the subject, or you do know the facts and choose to ignore them. Either way I'm not going to start a debate on it, especially not in a Warrior thread.

to my everlasting "shock" a thread about the Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD has been at least 2 pages of arguing which is now branching off into Montreal.......so its locking time.
