I am new so im sorry if this has been discussed but i am really interested on how other decide what to collect or not? i see some who grab every figure out there and others who are very selective to elites and also who just collect wrestlers they like. I myself have been collecting mostly elites of wrestlers i like, and some basics. i keep them mostly MOC, but seeing some of your guys collections of open figures definitely got me itching to open a few. Also is getting figures signed a plus or taboo? im meeting Flair in late July and figured i would have him sign his defining moments figure, but i dont want to be that guy.

I grab very flashback. I grab both first time in the lines for basics and elites. I pass on shelf warmers such as sheamus cena ADR. I pass on figures that I already have in elites

I only purchase elites and The Undertaker is my favorite of all-time so I buy all of his elites that I see. I buy flashbacks if they're someone that I liked growing up or whatever. First time in the line guys are always a head turner, or at least depending on who it is. I buy all masked Elite Kanes. I buy any elite Shawn Michaels and Jericho's that I can. Basically if I like the wrestler, and see it in stores or can afford it online then I pretty much get them

I personally get Elites and only get one fig per wrestler. I used to prefer the older series (1-10) because they are rare and have more value but now I go with what's most updated.

I'm huge on buying the Legends and Flashback elites. I buy every Shawn Michaels elite and every CM Punk Elite.

-Elite Cenas, but will pass on the latest one that doesnt come with a shirt
-Ultimate Warriors
-If I like a guy enough, I buy his figure. If I dont want to see a guy on TV, I sure as hell dont want him on my shelf.
-If I am lukewarm about a wrestler, but he has a great looking figure with cool attire, I would buy it. E8 Drew MacIntyre is an example

I collect one of each person (elite when possible), then alternate attires that are cool, have BAF parts, or come with cool accessories. So one of each person for my figure fed, then doubles when they have something cool about them.

Elites only unless I really want parts from basics to upgrade my elites or the build a figure sets.
I get all the current roster & flashbacks I like/want. If I like them I buy them or if it's just a really awesome figure I can't pass up. Not a big Diva collecter but have a few.
All displayed loose. In the UK so the Kmart & some TRU exclusives have to be got on ebay if I really want them.
That's pretty much it. Collect who you want mate it's your collection, your world. Just don't pay too much no matter how much you want it.

I collect guys I really like. Bray, Punk, Jericho etc. Ill get whatever figure has the best head scan and then do a head swap if I think a different figure has a better attire.

I like to look at what folks buy here. Most of the folks here have been at it longer than me and have valuable opinions or insight from figures on hand. Aside from that, if a figure is awesome looking or one of my favorites, I pick it up. I'm not a huge Fandango fan but I got him in elite form because it was incredible. Also, I like to buy factions. For instance, when Zeb came out, I had to get him because he was an awesome figure. I already had Cesaro but then I HAD to pick up Swagger to accompany them. Then they broke up the next week at WM.  |

I always collect Elites, not only guys I like but guys who can fill out a full talent roster. Makes for a more well rounded collection.

Something I realized, I only own three figures of guys who have died. Perfect, NWO Savage. And Yokozuna. I'm currently trying to trade Savage and Yoko. I'm kinda weird I guess but it feels strange to play with a figure of someone who isn't alive anymore. It kinda freaks me out. I'll keep the Perfect because, well, it's Mr. F*ck!ng Perfect!
But yeah, I pretty much only get guys who are alive.
I traded DM warrior after he passed also.

For this era (past 5 years), I like to have just one elite of each superstar unless it is a favorite wrestler of mine.
There are some exceptions where I really like the figure and just can't pass. Very rare though.
I collect ALL flashbacks elite or basic. Basics stay moc but I'll display elites loose and keep the boxes.

Just get what you like. I don't get every single person, just the ones I like on tv. But if you like to get complete sets, go for it.
As far as getting things signed, lots of people get them. Look at sea of the collections and you will see stuffed signed on the wall or shelf. That is the reason people sign, because people want theor signature on stuff. Entertainers do it for their fans, so get what you can get signed. Just don't ask for more than 1 or 2.

I just buy figures that look good to me and are of workers I really like. I try and just get one figure per wrestler, and I pretty much only go for elites. Also, I open all mine up, pose them and put them on the shelf--they just look much better that way to me.
