I'm completely indifferent to the guy. I think more people on here should try to have a more middle-of-the-road response to stuff until it really develops.
I think that Reigns is someone young and fresh with a LOT of potential. What I see is someone who has already learned very quickly and I imagine will continue to do so.
When Cena first came on the scene, he was very poor in the ring, something which didn't really change until around 2012 when he stepped it up against more technical workers like Punk and then carried it through to make it his new patter. Of course, we can't really imagine a world without the five moves of doom, but even Shawn Michaels had those.
Reigns has all the time in the world to improve and get better. But for me, the most important thing in the world in wrestling is attitude. He's going where he's going and he is where he is because he has a good attitude and a heart for professional wrestling, that's more important to me than being a good talker or even the best wrestler.
The top guy in the company isn't necessarily supposed to be the best wrestler, he's supposed to be the best company representative, and Reigns is clearly a company guy. Good for him.

If he headlines WrestleMania 31, I dont think it would be too soon personally. This will be his third Mania, which is crazy to realize. Im usually a huge fan of building a guy up from going through mid card championships and then eventually going for the world title, a few years later. But Reigns and the rest of The Shield are a different case. Since their debut, they have been involved in major storylines and big matches. They accomplished more in these past 2 years than people think. Coming out of this break-up, they are all Main Eventers in their own right. WWE created three main eventers with the snap of their fingers by breaking the Shield up the way they did, it's a perfect time for all three of them. Especially Reigns, he's almost as hot as Daniel Bryan was.

Roman has gotten pops, but not very big ones. In the last week or so, he has been out popped by Ambrose, especially Daniel Bryan, and Jack Swagger. Jack Swagger, for gods sake got a bigger reaction than the supposed next face of WWE.
I see Reigns to be the Lex Luger to Daniel Bryan's Bret Hart.
Also, can anybody point me in the direction of one good singles match or promo "Mr. Hot Tag" has had?

I like Roman and he surely has the it factor. I don't think he's ready to be the guy just yet. If he was to win the title before any more improvement, he might run into the Cena like backlash from 06. I do think he's the least talented member of the Shield, but still damn good.

I hate these type of threads....70% of the time they have to be locked because one side cant take critical views on their guy and the critical side lose their crap because EVERYONE doesn't agree with them exactly.
Here's my two cents.
I like Reigns and I enjoy his moveset etc in the ring. Im enjoying the journey and I'm hoping he hammers 7 shades of sh*t out of HHH at Summerslam.
Beyond that I'm not getting my expectations up about titles Wrestlemania etc. One step at a time like.

I'm a huge fan of Reigns, but I will admit some of the stuff they do with him feels very forced. His staredown with Triple H on RAW was awesome though. It's something they've actually been building towards and the fans legitimately want to see the match.

One or two misssteps could be the ruination of him.

I like him, he is decently entertaining and that is the goal. My only complaint is not his fault but creatives in how they put him over as this massive superstrong beast. He isn't hat big and is pretty average build for a wwe guy. He doesn't look rock and cenacle or ray back, and has shown strength in the ring like Cesar's to have earned that role, he got it because he is slightly bigger than Seth and dean. That has just always kind of bugged me. Other than that I feel as long as he can continue to grow he is a good for a future star.

Maybe I'm losing my ability to understand wrestling...maybe I'm getting old and jaded...but I'm not getting the hype behind and for RR. I don't find him to be terrible, but I don't find him all that amazing either. I feel like his "rise" to greatness is VERY manufactured, which, granted, isn't new in pro-wrestling, but also hasn't really ever produced long term payoff. Does he have a good look...yeah, I spose. His move-set seems a bit limited to this point, and the charisma and mic skills, they're not quite there. I can't put my finger on it really...he just come across...to me...like a guy trying to BE John Wayne, not John Wayne himself...you know? There's a big difference there. It's just kinda taken me a little by surprise to be honest. I personally have found the other two Shield members to be MUCH more interesting and entertaining over their time on the main roster, and certainly since the break-up of the team. Rollins is a really talented, exciting performer to watch, and Ambrose is definitely a great talker and has that "intangible" quality that is just fun to see. I was really confused when they started pitching the idea that Roman was the "Alpha Male" of the Shield, and the ring leader. I just kinda always assumed Ambrose was "the boss" to be honest. RR, to me, was more like the Enforcer of the group, and always seemed the most nervous and least natural. But then again, maybe I just don't get it. I have always been a bigger fan of the guys who were never quite "The Guy" anyways (guys like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Daniel Brian, Randy Savage, Triple H, Curt Henning, CM Punk, Rick Rude, Jake Roberts...the list goes on...) My two cents...for what it's worth. get out of my head

Bret didn't get himself in a situation where he had to sit out for potentially a year or longer. Bryan is pretty much done as a main eventer, the injury couldn't have come at a worse time for him.

When they tore his vest off at Payback and you got to see that he's really not that huge of a guy, it honestly surprised me.

Hides the fact Seth is bigger.

Roman had the biggest pop of the night both nights. He also has huge pop in the Rumble with the hostile Pittsburgh crowd earlier this year. I like the guy. I love Rollins though and the fact he is getting the most heat. Stars are being born and I love it.

I'll never get why he just suddenly became the Shields leader too... I am not denying he has this "it" thing but still, I find Ambrose and Rollins far better than him in every regard. Roman hasn't impressed me once. I never saw The Shield with a leader really. They seemed like 3 guys who each did their own roles. Rollins has high flying moves, Reigns was the muscle/power guy and Ambrose.....well I still havent figured out what the point of Ambrose was. Which is why I completely expect him to be repackaged before the end of 2015

Reigns is fun to watch, it's cool to see him do his spears and superman punches and OOOOHHHRAAAHS but it will (already has for som) get old after a while and I just can't get behind him being the next face. I'd much rather see someone else in his spot, that's just me though. But I do support WWE attempting to push someone new.
