I agree with you Smurf, toys are meant to be played with. That said, I want my toy to look like I played with it AFTER I played with it. Go to the store, buy a loaf of bread. You're going to eat it right? Does that mean it's cool to buy bread that looks like someone chewed it? No, the same applies to anything I buy, I want it to look new if im going to pay for something new. Also I think all of us on these forums resemble Al from Toy Story 2 in one way or another. Stop making stupid comparisons, food and toys are different. How so? Both are sold at the same store, both cost money, both are being presented to you as something new. Would you buy at full price ripped or stained clothing? Would you buy at full price a dented car? Would you buy at full price glasses with a hair line crack in them? Those scuffed up figures are 99% in new condition. If I were to give the cashier at Target 9.90 for a ten dollar figure there is no way the store is going to let me leave with that figure. But according to you and so many others on these forums it's cool to pay 100% for something that is only 99% new. That's so awesome, we pay full price and Mattel gets to lay off what ever quality control people they employ. Surely Mattel will pass those savings on to the customer.

Now you are comparing things that are pretty critical to some people to live to toys.

Now you are comparing things that are pretty critical to some people to live to toys. You can look at it that way if you want. What im saying is every product you by in a store at full price is presented to you as being brand new and free of defects. The reason I make a big deal of these scuff marks is because first off, I've purchased many Mattel wwe figures which once I open them I find scuff marks on them. Usually I look out for scuff marks so I typically find the scuffs on the back or legs or where ever it is hard to see on a figure when it is on its card. The sad thing is I find scuffs often, and usually only on Mattel wwe figures. Trust me, I buy a lot of toys. I buy Necas, I buy lots of Diecast vehicles, I buy Imaginext, I buy Fisher Price, I buy Vtech, I buy Hasbro, I buy Legos, pretty much everything you see at TRU I will buy. Paint errors do happen with pretty much every toy line. But for some reason they happen as common place with Mattel. So when I see the products they took do demo at a toy fest it must be brought to the attention of both the customers and the people making the toys. These scuffs are unacceptable.

If you don't like them, don't buy them. It'll save us the headache of hearing you acting like an entitled pestilential child who doesn't get what he wants.

Protos are supposed to look better. They should be made with special attention because... they are. This is the only line I've ever collected where the protos looks worse than the finished product. do you even know what the definition of the word "Prototype" is? Prototype is a general consensus of what it is going to be, don't like it; don't collect it it's as simple as that Prototype, by definition is the standard by which all others will be kept thereafter. By that definition, I do agree with cleaning them up. However, I do know what can happen with hand painted samples. Take a look back at previous SDCCs. Jakks' protos looked like cheap customs. The skin tone was dullcoated and scratching off. That said, I'll take a scuffed figure over a computer rendering ANYDAY! If we bitch too hard, I fear they'll revert to showing us Photoshopped figures.

I think the Blutista is great and comes with great accessories. Just wondering if he ever wore that jacket on TV? I'll still display him with it on but just interested. I'm not sure he wore the hat, sunglasses, and vest together. But he did wear them all at different times. I just can't find a picture.
