Ok, so I've had this running through my head since Punk's Podcast on Art Of Wrestling. Is it possible, that this is a ploy to actually have Punk return in 2015 with some explosive reaction and a well rested Punk?
Punk choosing to go with Cabana's podcast was mentioned as not being for profit, but to get his story out. That is kind of a red flag. Why wouldn't you take the money? Could it be that Punk is still under contract, and a for-profit interview would be a breech of contract?
I'm just getting this vibe that this is all an attempt to get a Summer of Punk 2.0 storyline starting while bluring the linea between reality and scripted television. I mean come on, why would you still have the guy on your website, a Facebook account, and still selling merchandise of a star that, from your own mouth, walked out on the company?
Things just don't add up. Yes, Punk is writting for Marvel, and has made apperances on AMC. But something tells me he is on personal leave , getting healthy, and stirring up crap for a hor return. Anyone getting the same feeling? Or am I reaching at high clouds here?

Trust me, a lot of people, myself included, wish it was. But I think it's safe to say Punk is done with WWE and they with him.

 nope not a storyline, he didn't take any money for it because Cabanna is a close personal friend of his. Do you really think a WWE backed blurred line storyline would allow Punk to drop that many f bombs and completely rip apart Triple H, Ryback and the Medical Staff? Do you realize how much bad press this got WWE? |

If it is, I will be very, very surprised, sad and rather angry at Punk and will never log onto this site again.
After all the defending I've done for no reason, if he throws it back in the face of his fans (all 6 of them at this stage) I will not be happy.

Things add up just fine. Punk doesn't like doing media so he did an interview with his best friend instead of having to deal with some mark interviewer asking him how big Batista's dick is. This isn't a storyline. Punk was legitimately going to sue WWE until they settled out of court. Remember when all of Punk's merchandise came off WWE.com then it all went back up after they settled for like $2? Yeah... That's why. Will he come back eventually? Maybe. Everyone seems to. But this isn't a storyline building to that. This is real life.

Not like that man not like that at all. He completely dressed down Triple H, made Ryback look like a piece of crap, got rid of all credibility for the medical staff and wellness program. You're not really thinking of reality era, more so attitude era. if this was the attitude era or ECW id say you know what maybe it is storyline, but this is 2014 WWE. Like Punk said in the interview, WWE is a publically traded company now, they can't do anything even slightly outrageous or outlandish. There's also rumors floating around Triple H is furious and has even blackballed Cabanna over this. Even Ryback took a very subtle twitter shot at Punk over this. This is not storyline at all. |

If you stand back, with an unbiased opinion, it kind of does make sence. Punk releases his interview right before Austin's live Network Podcast... If anything, I'm excited to see what is said on Austin's show. You have to follow up with this.

If he just went "I hate Triple H, Ryback, Vince McMahon is delusional, blah blah blah" then maybe so. I could see it being viable, even if unlikely. However, do you really think WWE would have a superstar say he was fired on his wedding day and completely tear apart their wellness policy while they have ongoing litigation concerning concussions and stockholder pressure? Absolutely not.
As for the no money thing, its pretty clear Punk doesn't care about the money. He did it for free because he wanted a place he felt comfortable doing it and with his best friend is definitely that kind of place.
