I dont play with my figures. I recreate the action of wwe No seriously, this is a lot more fun than 2k15. I can do whatever i want and not worry about momentum percent and the cpu countering me and all that bullcrap. I like doing it all realistic, making our dream matches a reality. Hope this helps in some way

I had a big fed made of WWF Hasbros, WCW Galoobs, Ninja Turtles, He-Man, and pretty much every other figure line that was reasonably in scale. I had a blast with that. Then the Jakks BCA came out when I was about 16 and I decided I was going to buy those and play with them exclusively. I built up a collection of about 20-30 BCA's, but somehow my passion for it just didn't transfer from my old fed to my new fed, and I ended up boxing everything up.
Got into figure collecting again last year and wanted to start a fed again, but I just couldn't quite capture the fun that I had when I was a kid. It's like the imagination is not the same. When I was a kid, I was satisfied doing bodyslams and suplexes and clotheslines, but now I'm overly picky and trying to create a "realistic" match and not letting myself just have fun the way I used to.
Recently I've started posing and photographing them. I'm not very good at it, but it's my new way of having fun with them. I make up storylines and then photograph the show. My first one is here: actionfigurewwf.blogspot.com
Anyway, if you can get into playing with them like when you were a kid, I envy you. In the end, action figures are just story props for your imagination. It's really no different than any other creative activity people do. It's just there's that stigma of being "childish" attached.

I always compare it with Toy train shows those adults spend hours building their mountains and villages etc...

Okay, so sometimes I'll be sitting on the floor, playing. I'm like 40 almost. When I get up, my legs will hurt. Like they'll tighten up when I'm down there, and when I get up it hurts to straighten them. What I'm getting at is, eventually I may not physically be able to, like before I die or whatever. Yeah, too old... That happens to me too and I'm 35, but then I think that when I was a kid I think my legs started aching after a while too.

I like that the poll suggests someone could play through the age of 59 and then come to the realization at 60 that "yep, I'm too old to play" lol. But seriously, I felt that I was getting too old to play with my wrestling figures at the age of 13 or 14 initially. This was back in 2001-02 when Jakks was transitioning from TTL to R3 figures, and I think a large part of it had to do with my peers and wanting to keep up with them in the maturation process. I didn't want to be left behind or made to feel like I was still behaving like a child, so I gradually stopped playing with my toys. I turned to video games and hanging out with my friends for a creative outlet from then on. I wanted so badly to convince either of my parents to let me buy a few of the new figures that were coming out at the time, such as R3 Tech Series 2 Big Show and Jeff Hardy, but I never had the courage to ask them. Looking back now, I know that they probably wouldn't have chastised me for it, but there was a certain amount of guilt that I felt for even bringing it up to them. Luckily for me, I didn't let that stop me from ever getting back into the hobby. I started collecting again on Halloween Day 2004. It was sort of on a whim that I decided to get back into collecting Jakks figures. I had been thinking about it for a few days and just decided to jump right in. With that decision came the opportunity to start a new WWE figure fed, and I somewhat successfully rode that wave for the next year and a half until I left for college. Since then, I've tried several times to pick up where I left off with my Jakks WWE figure fed, but it doesn't seem to come as easy to me as it did then when I was 15 to 17 years old. I don't know what it was specifically the second time around, but I think I just lost the desire to keep up with my fed, so I stopped. Sometimes, there just isn't anything more to be done and you need to back away before you begin to think of it as a chore. But, if you still have that desire to play and feel those creative juices flowing, keep with it. Don't squander your potential. I never regret for a minute that I started playing with my figures again as a teenager in the mid-2000s. The break of nearly three years before it helped me to appreciate it more. I may not actively play with my figures now at the age of 26, but I certainly wouldn't let anything stop me either if I decided one day that it is something I would like to do again.

I display not play lol.
I take the figure out of packaging, check the joints etc, then put back in and display the packaged figure against my bedroom wall.

I stopped when I was a kid. As an adult I buy to collect and display. However I don't think there's anythjng wrong with playing with figures. Lots of grown men build and play with train sets, model cars etc. What's the difference?

I only play with figures when my three year old wants to play with them. I stop playing with figures when I hit puberty. I'm sorry but it's a little odd for grown men to be playing alone with their wwe figures. Hey to each their own, but if that's your thing play away. I'm not hating lol

"It's the closest thing I will ever have to a time machine in my lifetime." I don't play with them, but I do like to just go into my toy room, sit back, and reminisce. And for that moment, I don't worry about bills... I don't worry about money... I don't worry about anything. I simply feel like a kid again, and I think that's pretty cool! This is beautiful and so damn true. I collect MOC. If I have a crappy day I do exactly the same, unwind and stare at my collection. I think about how Id feel 20 years ago walking into a room like this. Its my drug of choice. My Son and Daughter love my collection and sit with me, and we talk about wrestling. I love those moments. Do I play, hell yes. I collect MOC but my kids have a hell of a collection of loose figs. Our favourite thing is to do a properly timed Royal Rumble.

I think posing/displaying is ok at any age, but if you're a grown man throwing figures around and making fighting noises with your mouth, then it's kind of weird unless of course you're a father playing with your kids.

To each his own, but what's stranger to me than a grown man playing with his figures is buying them and leaving them MOC. I get that lots of people do it and I'm not knocking it, but I do not understand it.

I mostly display them. But it's not anyone's choice, to decide how old you are to play with your figures, whatever makes you happy, makes you happy!

My body is so achey from snow removal the only thing that provides relief is playing with my wrestling action figures!!!

Yeah, if you see a cool spot in a wrestling show, don't you want to try to recreate it with figures sometimes?
