All I can really say is: Embrace it while it is still fun. I had a LEGO WWE Fed and my best friend and I spent hours on it. We had like a 30+ roster each and it was so much fun. Then I moved away and we stopped and ever since then the passion seemed gone. Now I pick up my figures every once in a while and hit a couple moves but it's just not the same. That realization was very hard and quite sad but that's just the way it is. For some reason though I can't sell them. I just can't. I also enjoy looking through amazon, ebay and co. imagining owning all these awesome figures but then again I realize that the passion is gone and I can't afford them anyway.

It's not a crime, play as long as you enjoy it. I just wouldn't make it a matter of public record.

I'm 33. My quick story/setup from yesterday.
Bray and Taker teamed up and now have powerful supernatural powers.
The entire roster joins forces to try to stop them.
During the battle, Bray and Taker kill Cena.
Batista locks the rest of the roster inside the steel cage as Bray and Taker circle the cage.
The spirit of Cena rises up and puts a protection spell on the steel cage so Bray and Taker can't get in.
Now it's just Batista on the outside.
To be continued...

I live in the northeast. We're getting pelted by snow. My body is so achey from snow removal the only thing that provides relief is playing with my wrestling action figures!!! I'm from PA so I know whatcha mean. Pshh, Im in Tennessee and I still hurt...of course, abusing my body is sports for 15 years didnt help any at all either.

I haven't played since early teens. But if you have enough imagination to do it then good on ya. I think after the teens it's a little weird to sit down and full out play with toys but to each their own.

I'm 31 now, I threw out all my toys somewhere around 10, mostly TMNT, GI Joes and WWF Hasbros. I think it mostly had to do with being way more interested in playing with girls suddenly, whatever part of me liked playing with toys just died around then. I never regretted getting rid of them, kind of a funny thing what a clean break it was. The reason I started buying Mattel Legends and Flashbacks last year is somewhat different than the reason I got the Hasbros as a kid. I can't even really remember what it felt like playing with them. I think if I had kids I might find that part of me again to play with them though.

Not to offend anyone here but what's the point of collecting these expensive figures if your going to hang them on the wall or put them on a shelf to collect dust? I can tell you if I didn't play with my figures I would definitely not be collecting them at any cost. Why don't you guys collect stamps or something? Its a lot cheaper...

I'd jump or fall off things to be a goof. Crash into things head first just to get a laugh. Now it's twenty years later and I've just had to have back surgery, body is covered in scars, and my body randomly aches all the time. I repeat... I was a dumb kid.

That's.... kind of a dick thing to say? Especially here? I collect because my brother collects or used to, he hasn't bought a figure (outside of E21 Honky Tonk Man, but that was for me) since like 2012 and we only really bought our favorites. That changed for me when there were some cool attires. Now I try to get one of everybody. They're cool to look at. They remind me of my childhood. I do want to get a pic fed started, but not until I get my own apartment.

I recently sold off almost my entire collection from da to ruthless wcw ECW elite and decide to only keep basic style. And I play with them using dice after my back was broken basically while training to be a pro wrestler I decided to keep the fantasy alive like how the video game does with story builder its 35 superstars a year lowest ranked 10 lose their jobs and are replaced by new guys the highest ranked guy gets a year off and comes back a year later mind that I only do this when I'm not working or rehabbing my back or seeing my girlfriend.

All I do is pose my figures on the shelf. Sometimes my girlfriend plays with them by knocking them all down for fun.

MOC looks awesome assorted nicely on the walls. It can be decorations imo, and I'm one that's in between loose and MOC because I do both. I want to eventually animate , so technically I'll be playing with figures but it's hard to picture a 40 year old man slamming his figures around and making sound effects to recreate their childhood memories I'm not knocking it though, it's societys fault for painting the picture that adults don't play with toys (figures).

I think anyone who collects toys AND says "[Certain people] are too old to play with [them]" has his own anxiety about being perceived as immature from those who don't collect. He can say,"I collect but it's not like I play with them. Those people are weirdos!" It's like being afraid to have a gay friend because you're too scared of what people will think of YOU. Just embrace the fact that people who don't accept your hobby as worthwhile will never accept it no matter how much you qualify it. And frig them anyway.
