I voted never. Do what you want. Your money your toys. If you want to play with them so be it. If you want to collect moc or display loose by all means do so.
They're yours so do what you want

Play until you lose interest. I personally stopped playing with my figures at the age of 15 or 16 somewhere around there. But, I collect for display and am now 28.

You're only as old as you feel... How clichéd is that?! lol
Seriously though... I can, to this day, just look at my vintage V1 Storm Shadow figure and am instantly 7 years old again!
My stepdaughter is embarrassed by my toy collection and keeps her friends away during visits (which I appreciate!). She always asks me, "Why... does a 40 year old man buy so many toys all the time?", and I simply tell her...
"It's the closest thing I will ever have to a time machine in my lifetime."
I don't play with them, but I do like to just go into my toy room, sit back, and reminisce. And for that moment, I don't worry about bills... I don't worry about money... I don't worry about anything. I simply feel like a kid again, and I think that's pretty cool!

It's just playing with figures, it's not a massive thing. Do what you want.

I just can't do it. I played with action figures my whole childhood until probably 6th grade. Now my son is 5 and I am having a ton of fun building him a collection of the only action figure line I never had..wwf. I try to play with my son but I loose interest fast. The best I can do is pose them in the ring doing wrestling moves of all types and my son does it now too. I come home from work at 9:00pm and he is asleep and I always check the ring because he sets the figures up pretty good and that makes me smile.

Until you die. That's when it's too old, and too late.

Never is too old but I stopped playing with mine when i was 15, so around 3 years ago. The only reason being I stopped making stop-motion with them and really had no reason to pose them or play with them otherwise. I actually have had all my toys packed up for ages now. Age really had nothing to do with it as you can tell it's just a matter of circumstances and changing as a person over time. I do love having them on display though but i took down that as well about half a year ago.

I mostly collect but I will fiddle around with my Jakks figures every once in a while. I'm too afraid of scratching my Mattels.

Never too old! I play with my figures almost on a daily basis, you got to stop caring what other people think. Live your own life.

You have to ask yourself "What does it matter?" and "Why am I trying to fit in?".
The nicest guy you meet in a day might go out at night with his weenie tucked, carving up coeds. We're all weird in our own ways. I'd say playing with toys as an adult is one of the least weird things you could do.

Okay, so sometimes I'll be sitting on the floor, playing. I'm like 40 almost. When I get up, my legs will hurt. Like they'll tighten up when I'm down there, and when I get up it hurts to straighten them. What I'm getting at is, eventually I may not physically be able to, like before I die or whatever.
Yeah, too old...

If there's a certain age at which one becomes "too old" to play around with action figures, then I never want to grow up.
