I could have done without all the gimicy action features and levers they had. But I really wish they gave the Ring Fighters Bret and Scott Steiner as well as the Ring Masters Rick Steiner and Bret normal sized feet. They were 4 of my favorite figures from the lines but they had Frankenstein feet. I do think Mattel has blown Jakks away in body parts. They had just as many if not more body molds than Jakks did with their RA/DA lines in much less time.

i like the current formula of putting a tag team as singles in one elite set. keeping it that way is perfect. I think it's awesome as well. I usually just take advantage of RSC's package deal.

I agree that mattel has it on jakks in parts. But jakks had oversized arms and unpainted tape whereas mattel has these tiny t rex arms and no tape mold. Jakks pads fell off easily til the end and mattel rarely uses elbow pads. Pros n cons to all. Jakks had a lack of detail but fast turnaround time. Mattel has more detail but a ridiculous turnaround time and overpriced merch Inflation aside. I know u remember those big figs like sting and aj that came out, they had an awesome angle ready to come out too. We could be on that level but instead its the crap u see everywhere

I can see both sides of this argument.
In my honest opinion, I think the Horsemen set proves tag teams ARE viable, as long as Mattel picks the right subject matter and skimps on accessories to keep the price point reasonable.
That said, I know a lot of collectors are into the accessories and don't mind paying a bit more for some cool goodies with their Elites. In that case, I say save 2 spots in each Elite wave for a current or classic tag team to be sold individually, ala The Usos or LOD.

I think they would fail at the end of the day I think price point would be reason enough

Personally, I don't see it happening. Did you ever see a 4 pack elite set happening before it was announced? Anythings possible and like mentioned before if there isn't much accessories and deco then the prices can be fairly reasonable. Although I do like the separate tag team in the regular elite line, a 2 pack would be easier to obtain and much cheaper instead of paying $21 for each individual elite.

Bill said the Four Horsemen set was really only doable because they didn't come with any accessories and the attires were so plain. The set didn't cost much to produce from that standpoint. So, doing sets of current tag teams wouldn't work when you consider the colorful attires of guys like New Day, PTP, Usos, Mega Powers 2.0, etc.

I'd love this to happen as long as we do get full accessories (if needed) and I don't mind paying for it either. Elites are generally £20 here in the UK so I'd pay £35 or so for an elite double pack with accessories. Up to £30 with limited or without accessories. And of course, it CAN NOT be a USA exclusive!! But if it were to be double packs without accessories it could still work for some, mostly older legends teams/battle packs Andre the Giant and Haku Bad News Brown/Bret Hart (WM4) Ultimate Warrior/Hercules (WM4)

As long as they did current guys, or high level legends, it would do well If they go with all these obscure pre-90's guys you lot are asking for, it would probably die a death

nasty boys would be cool..my local target sold thru the 1st case of horsemen the 1st day..the 2nd case only 1 piece has moved and the others have been there since last Tuesday. the other target close to me has had the same 2 4-packs for about a week as well. I dk how they are selling elsewhere but around me not to well.

Or even fued sets of famous fueds would do good. With how tag teams work now, most teams will be broken up by the time figures are out.

From a selling point, feuds would be much better as you can get much bigger names. Not many tag teams are or were main eventers

I do think that the pricing on them would ultimately cause them to fail.

Yeah I wouldn't want any set to be void of accessories if necessary. But as some said there are many teams in the Legends label that I think could be done, accurately without accessories. Bottom line, I want more classic figures. By hook or by crook.

Original Megapowers would definitely work under that format. So could Doom and The Fantastics. If it were the only way to get them, the Smoking Gunns could work in the format as well.

As much of a great idea as that is Bill has said multiple times that would never happen. Mostly for pricing issues. Almost every place has Elites priced at 20.99. Therefore we would never see them for less than around 37.99.
Although you never know. Everyone was wrong with the prices with the Horseman. 49.99 Is a complete bargain.

I could also see a target HOF 4 pack with 2 tag teams in it but no 2 packs Yes! LOD vs Demolition Hart Foundation vs Rockers Nash Hall ( nWo) vs Sting/ Luger (Wolfpack) Steiners vs Harlem Heat Dudley Boyz vs Edge/Christian Hardys with Lita and Tall Ladder Brothers of Destruction vs APA NAO vs Cactus/Chainsaw Charlie If we saw Dudley's vs. Hardy's I might just die. Ugh that would be incredible.

i would pay 34.99 to 39.99 for a two pack as long as the accessories are still on point
