No way. I wasn't interested I'm Hollywood Hogan but I still have yet to get an Austin so I'm super pumped. That Undertaker is my favourite looking figure I haven't got and I always wanted it but the SDCC prices were ridiculous. I'm happy with re releases as long as there good like they have been so far.

Thanks for the 411. I don't really mind the re releases all that much as I am happy to pass on them. I just ope that sales don't get hurt because of it and reflect negatively on a great line. I hated to see the line shut down the first time and don't want to see it happen again. From what I read everyone else seems optimistic about the sales of these two. So time will tell. I look forward to more. Yeah, hope they sell well. I'd hate if the DMs were discontinued. There's so many Hogans & Razors in my area that I never once saw Sting at retail. I had to pick it up on Mattel Shop. Ive seen quite a few stings at Targets.

It's taking it from a fantastic line to one that isn't worthy IMO, but unfortunately they will sell sell & they'll continue to do it over & over.

As a late substitute/replacement for the Hogan figure, I think the Austin with 3 belts is a good choice - Austin is a HUGE name and big seller and two of the three belts have only ever been released once before. And figures with belts always sell well... so a big-name figure with three sought-after belts is gonna do just fine.
I do wonder what/who we'll be getting next though (after the GAB Sting figure)... really hope they can sort something out with Goldberg or Angle.

Is the Defining Moments Undertaker an exact re-release of the SDCC Undertaker? If not what differences are there? Thanks I think the only difference is that the DM has pupils Darker coloured attire underneath the cape (two tone pattern is less obvious), black bits on boots instead of silver, I'm fairly sure he has a darker skin tone but I may be wrong on that. Oh and the packaging.

I spent £55 on Legends Eddie and if he was re released next week with or without the belt I'd be happy for those who don't have him as we would both have great figures and I'd still have mine in unique packaging.

Not at all, these are some great figures, and in Takers case, Mattel's greatest figure. I think collectors are more upset at the prospect of their original release versions values going down honestly.

While it's an easy pass for me Taker is a figure very few got for the $20 or $25 Mattel was charging at SDCC/Matty. So he was a great choice to give a mass release to once whoever they were planning fell through.
As for Austin I think it is a great choice to replace Hogan...because he comes with the titles plus he is the cover of 2K16 so between the titles and exposure with the game that will help boost his sales.
But the real beauty is the GAB Sting. And I can't wait to see who they follow Sting up with.

I'm sure it's been said already, but re-releasing Undertaker and Austin in the line really wasn't Mattel's fault. Austin was supposed to be Hollywood Hogan and Taker was supposed to be a mystery guy who Bill said he started working on before they were granted the rights to do him, and then it fell apart. Production was too far along for both guys to be able to replace them with anything other than a re-release/repaint.

I think collectors are more upset at the prospect of their original release versions values going down honestly. That's exactly it. Just some collectors upset that their "rare" figure isn't actually special anymore. Sure, some are upset because they spent exorbitant amounts of money on the figures, but that's on them, honestly. Too many people collecting for perceived value and not enough collecting because they just LIKE figures.

I think the Austin selection as the DM was fine. We are getting 3 belts with the figure and other than HOF Austin he has never had a regular flashback just the RSC one. So this fine with me. If they had given us L6 Warrior with 3 belts I would of been fine with that as well for the first DM of the year.
