Hi I'm almost 15 and I collect WWE action figures since I'm 4 and I'm embarrassed I collect because when my friends saw my display they laughed and they were shocked but I told them I don't play even though I want to play but I don't want them to know and I feel embarrassed because if they see the action figures are in the ring so they know I played with them I don't know if I'm too old to collect I'm scared what will happen when I have a girlfriend in the future what would she say so did you guys ever fee like this?

If you like collecting then you are never too old, If your friends pass comments just call them "collectable action figures" if their truly your friend it shouldn't matter.
Same with future gfs, if she really likes you she will appreciate that it's just apart of you.

Don't worry about what others think. You just keep being yourself and you'll find that real friends will stick around and be supportive of things you're passionate about. And you'll find a woman who will like you for just who you are. Never be ashamed of who you are and never lose yourself to please others.
Who knows, you may even end up working for Mattel or the WWE one day.

You are growing up in a much better time where "nerd life" is socially acceptable. Where Pop Culture is a very importnant thing in many people's lives.
I was you're age 14 years ago, and that was a nightmare having people find out I played with toys and collected. This was when gamers were still nerds, but many people started to slowly turn to closet gamers.
I say this man. Do what you enjoy. Ad long as it doesn't hurt anyone, or its not illegal, then who cares what others think. Besides, 90% of the people you know know, won't be in your life even 5 years from now.

In like 5-10 years, you'll realize how intellectually- disabled it was to worry about people making fun of you.

You are right I am going to the army at age 18 so I won't even be in touch with most of them

As you mature you'll grow more comfortable/confident with yourself. By default you will no longer worry about how others perceive your collection.

Advice from a guy who is 43 years old whose friends and 25 year old daughter still shake their heads and wonder "why?" when they enter my man cave: Every single one of those kids has something they love doing that someone else doesn't "get". Embrace who you are and never be embarrassed to be you. If we all liked the same stuff this world would be a boring place.
There are girls who are into collecting and geeky stuff too. And last I checked, pretty much every one of the Divas were wrestling fans growing up and there aren't many ugly divas.

Who cares? If they're your real friends they won't say anything about it.

15 years on from starting collecting, I'm 23 and love it more than ever, embrace it, enjoy it and do what makes you happy.

I'm 30, and although I admit I'm a bit of an odd-ball, I still collect figures, and have recently started collecting WWE again. Whenever I meet new friends, who are my age, they always seem to think my collections are cool and have something nice to say about them when they see them. However, back when I was a young teenager, there were some people who would make fun of me, I guess because they wanted to feel more mature. I also had to put up with my family thinking I'm weird.
But 14 is definitely not too old to be collecting. For crying out loud, some of the figures I collect (Neca Aliens) say "17+ only" on the packaging. Some people just don't understand how popular the hobby is.
BTW, I STILL play with my wrestling figures!
Yeah, you can't let people tell you what to do with your life and how you should think...

I'm 14 as well and I'm not embarrassed to tell anyone that I collect WWE figures. I'm just wondering, if anyone is mean to me and makes fun of me, what could I say back to them? I've been caught in that trap before and I had nothing to say back at them. I don't want to curse and swear at them or anything but what is a good response that you guys might of used in the past? I hope I make sense.
