They could have had $25+ dollars out of me for a DM WCW Goldberg, instead they stuck a modern goldberg with that ring and got zero dollars from me. I'm guessing that was the case for a lot of people. Me too. Same here. I would have paid $30+ for a WCW Goldberg.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I'm having more fun now than I ever had collecting WWE figures. And I've been in the game since LJN. At 40 years old, I'd love to stop. But they just keep getting better and better. I sometimes skip a figure, and there's nothing wrong with that. Nobody has ever forced us to buy everything. Something that may not interest me, may be the equivalent of a golden unicorn to someone else. So repaints don't effect me. I understand this line isn't made specifically for me and my wants. CW Division is still in it's infant stages. But in the short time they have been around we've gotten Aries, Neville, TJP, Swann, Gallagher, & soon released Kendrick. Add them to Kalisto & Enzo and I think we've gotten a fairly decent start. People are always quick to point out all the names Jakks gave us that Mattel hasn't. But they seem to ignore all the names Mattel has released that Jakks never did. Savage, Elizabeth, Steamboat, Kerry & Kevin, Red Rooster, Alundra Blaze, & Magnum TA just to name a few. So like I said above, IMO Mattel has made this hobby more fun and more rewarding as far as I'm concerned. Jakks kinda, sorta did make a Red Rooster while Mattel's Rooster figure might never see the light of day.

Mattel gave us at most 20 legends that jakks never did, jakks every month give us at least 4 new legends, i think its a big difference. At least make them exclusive or short production, if they can do zombie and bat of a wrestler they can do easily do the famous gobbledy gooker that they did, if this figure is on ebay one day , i accept to buy for $300. It sucks they lost great opportunity, making shark or dds dentist was cool , i want more if this kind of figure. Virgil i was hoping in his wrestling gear, the way they did , i keep my jakks fig.

I like a little wait time but 3 months for a new elite set and its just repaints then another 3 months and still more repaints and 1 new guy ie elite 60 elias When we still have Itami O neil Hawkins Sanity Ohno Black Cole O riley Fish Dream Alexander Gulak Tozawa Singh bros Buddy Blake Benjamin Sullivan Mcintyre Almas Metalik Dorado Nese Ali Or still Valentine Muraco Patterson Free birds Saturn Raven Kidman Slew of others including dude love There are a ton of logistics that go into the line. They have to fit everybody into a line with attires that fit the budget, they have to have guys that sell in each line as well... And then a ton of those guys are still pretty new in WWE so they're not going to come out immediately...

poindizzle Wf Legend, It always amazes me how people on these boards discredits the adults who have a desire for the oldies and history knowing they paved the way so action figures became a thing. These"Old Collectors" understand that the bread and butter come from the 50 cena's and 50 Triple H's for kids. They understand that basics are the best selling line because of the price point for kids ... but the more poseable, elite figures have a higher price point that may suit both. As a kid, once myself I had rubber monkeys that would serve in my imagination as wrestlers in the 70's to play with because the real deals were simply not available. Sadly I never grew out of my passion for wanting the real deal. I remember in 1981 having a speech class at my University and did it on Wrestling. My teacher gave me an A on my presentation but a D on the topic of Wrestling because she lacked the vision of that "fake stuff that nobody cared about". Man, was she wrong. Just a few years later Wrestlemania. I was told to act and write was a long shot and very few could make it. I also didn't listen to that and did pretty well in the industry. So for all of the legend lovers on here who are showing their passion please don't be surprised. They exist and are well aware of the odds ... but when Mattel made the Red Rooster all things became a possibility!!!!! So we will please our passion and hope Mattel listens. It isn't discrediting, it's merely stating a fact. I know that some of you guys, if not most, get that the line makes bank on Cena, Orton, Reigns, etc. but I think there are many more who have no concept of how this line makes money. It isn't just the legends guys, I see plenty of threads suggesting low drawing or drop in the ocean NXT and cruiserweight guys should be taking spots from high sellers because we're bored. I'm an adult collector. I am on your side in my drive for legends. I'm a more rounded adult with a better knowledge of wrestling. If I could get every obscure guy I've ever binge watched on the network late at night I would. I just think we need to all be way more realistic about our odds. We are getting a Giant Machine and Shark soon after all. I wouldn't push my luck much more.

They always seem to pick the wrestlers who never change their attire or have very little that can be changed from figure to figure. At least with AJ Styles there is more choices in attires to make each figure feel special. In the days of Hasbro releasing the same wrestlers again worked since the first one could be a puncher, then they could release him as a bodyslammer, and so on. If they want to release Reigns, Rollins, & Ambrose how about some more pre-shield attires, Cena in debut attires, or some others in attires we have not seen much of.

I agree that Reigns and Ambrose don’t change their attire but Rollins even more than AJ Styles has some of the most varied colourful attires of the current roster. We have also just had Reigns and Rollins NXT releases.

EXACTLY. Plus, I like the original ring. I don't want another. I can change its ropes, aprons, even do customized looks for it.

On a positive note their repetitive basic lineups saves me a lot of cash.
Helps me get figures that I really want.

wait times, and reuse of characters is killing them. I was just thinking how odd it is we are even getting a street clothes Razor. i have no use for it, although i like the figure. Its just an odd choice considering i could use another wrestling gear Razor with the long kneepads. smh. This too. The second wave of Flashbacks look nice but the characters they chose are terrible. Who the hell was clamoring for an Alundra Blaze? If you say you were, I don't believe you, lol. Or a street clothes Razor? Doink and Michaels are repaints. I don't want any of those figures and I just don't understand these choices at all.

Im dreaming of an alundra blayze figure since 1994.... What i like about this set is the tv segments parts of heartbreak hotel. Its been a whilemsince we got a doink, hbk is always selling likes hot cakes, and razor ramon in his outfit of 1992 from his vignettes debut, mis a must. Mattel did great with this line.
Elias to comes outnin may instead of october is a great news. andre thegiant in yellow from wm2, and and machine gear to make giant machine aka bjack mulligan pr super machine aka ax, by putting the gear on another figure is excellent. Maybe we can make hulk machine, piper machine, animal machine etc..
can wait that they give is dates for the nxt with broderick strong, and the female billie ray, amd some 205 live figs like ikawa...
red rooster even if jakks released a terrific terry taylor in the past, its a must have
i hope more surprises at wmania accex, i rembember at wmania 2000, when on axcess they showed the first and only figure of ivory, it was a cool moment.
mattel do great with the current roster, only missing, a couple of new women, some 205 live figs like dorado, grant metallik, and sanity from nxt.

poindizzle WF legend,
Thanks for your kind response. I was disappointed with the first legends line Mattel did to not make the classic look but I understand how they wanted to separate themselves from Jaaks. The Separation is SCALE! I will continue to hope they find creative ways to include NEW figures of current wrestlers and Legends from the past as the 1st time in the lineup line accompanied with the BIG SELLERS (like Cena 987 and Reigns 240) Miz 320) etc ....
