Elite line is not the probelm its making 1st in line exclusive people that has soured the whole exp. like I'm likely never getting sanity because the other 2 memebers will cost 75-100 each likely. maybe less for dain but 1 per case alexander wolfe. and pete dunne being almost 200 on ebay is crazy what are you talking about Dude is just bitching for the sake of bitching.

Try being a Canadian and collecting wrestling figures, then you will see how hard it truly is! Try being european (especially not UK located) to reach difficulty master lol

It definitely has become too hard. I’ve steadily been losing interest, this past year has almost sealed the deal. Seeing a proto of Harley Race got me pumped. Then we gotta wait a year for it to be actually released and then it’s impossible to find kinda forces you out of the hobby whether you want to or not.

I don’t buy from stores any more. For me it’s the lack of characters I like that’s making me collect less and lose interest. That and the horrible selections in torsos/legs etc.

I buy online but when you can't even get them there without paying a fortune something is terribly wrong. Mattel made a great Harley Race figure that was impossible to get online from Walmart. If I were them I would make Walmart exclusives available online and let supply and demand dictate how many they want and do that all day long. Same with Target ... but neither does it which adds to all of our frustration.
I think Vince has always been more about the now and not as much about the past which I question with his network and the fact as people get older the parents and kids can both talk about the past and present ... so I think we have a multitude of problems going against the legends which are incredibly frustrating to me and I hope Mattel comes up with a plan before too many people throw in the towel.

I miss Toys R Us in the USA. Yeah, I relied on TRU for 75% of my wrestling figure collecting and dont really like shopping online, so collecting is becoming too hard for me.

I totally agree. 5 Years ago it was easy to at least have a chance of buying every elite. Now it's literally impossible to do it on a reasonable budget. Pointing that out isn't "bitching for the sake of bitching". Gross

Pointing that out isn't "bitching for the sake of bitching". Gross It’s still easy to have a chance at buying every Elite. Not one single figure that’s mass produced has been unable to be purchased. These are actions figures. Materialistic things. If you can’t afford them, due to bills/money being tied up elsewhere, that’s a good problem to have. Doesn’t make them too costly for a “reasonable budget”. These aren’t groceries. Hahaha

But if you can't afford them, you have to know wants vs needs. Maybe collect basics instead. Half the price. Still a massive roster of superstars. More even than elites probably. And know what you don't have to have. Who needs 43 Cesaro figures? 28 brocks necessary? If those cuts aren't enough, man collect hot wheels. Your limits are not mattels fault nor problem.

He's saying it's impossible because figures can't be found in stores easily and people are being forced into eBay prices, or having to get stuff shipped. I honestly hope they lose the licence. The distribution has been so bad. We've been punished with a lack of figs in Canada because some dolt buyer at Walmart ordered a million of Sycho Sid, basically killing the line in Canada. Hell, I'm in Canada and it's become so much more expensive. So many figures we don't get because of Walmart and Target exclusives. It's funny that Canada is the second largest wrestling market and WWE is a global product, yet Mattel treat the international market like crap but giving exclusives to US stores. Why can't they also give these figures as exclusives to some intentional retailers? Eg, if I want HOC figures, I'm paying about $15-$20 per figure more than someone in the US because of eBay markup, shipping and taxes/duties. How about Harley Race? We never got flashback series 1 up here, just series 2, and never series 3. So we're stuck with eBay or timing a trip to the States when these things are released at store level and just hope piece of crap scalpers haven't gotten there first. This is why I quit collecting. Mattel is terrible.

Absolutely. My days of spending hours and hours driving around searching are done. Mattel has the worst distribution I've seen in my 20+ yrs of being an active collector. Now with all the Legend lines done, I'm really over it. I know they'll still make them but if it's like this, them being rare chases, screw it. Not fun at all anymore.
Is the store exclusive thing more to appease the stores they deal with? Like an incentive for them to carry their line of figures?
