I wouldnt do it at a hotel. To me a hotel is your "home away from home" and I wouldnt invade someones home. Airports are a little weird but I tend to be ok with it as long as the fans are polite about it.
People can easily say "oh wait at the arena or go to a signing"....right cause you have access to wrestlers at arenas and signings are few and far between to meet your favorites. Ive traveled over 1800 miles round trip to meet Alexa Bliss twice. Most fans dont have that time or financial resources especially younger fans.

I've never done this, but there is literally no harm in asking for a pic or an autograph. None. You're famous. You didn't have to be. You chose to be. You literally signed up for this. No they didn't choose to be stalked at inappropriate times by creepy fans. Wait for a damn Signing appearance. Yes. They did. Price of fame. Always has been, always will be.

I have no issues with doing this as long as its done in a respectful manner. Ask for a autograph or picture and move along. It's those guys that have 50 items to sign. If the celebrity doesn't want to sign or take a picture, they can simply keep walking.
These athletes are larger than life celebrities to a lot of people and you don't get many opportunities to interact with them. So, I have zero issues with people taking a chance to meet them.

Let's do an experiment, everyone post your real name and daily schedule, like where you go, what times, addresses, etc. Then, come back and report how you feel when a stranger comes and pays you an unexpected visit. Maybe when it happens you're in line at Burger King, or picking your kid up from school, or trying to poop. Multiply that times hundreds of times. Nothing bad will happen, probably, but maybe it might, who knows.
It's maybe not 100% analogous to what the wrestlers experience, but it might help you understand why celebrities don't want strangers stalking them. (Or maybe it won't, plenty of people don't have empathy.)
Another one that might not be 100% analogous; Does the kid who works at a fast food place choose to be abused by customers? When you go out to buy some milk, is it your fault if you get mugged along the way? When I drive, do I choose to be t-boned by a semi? When I breathe the city pollution daily, that's a million times worse than any cigarette or sunlight, is it my fault when I get cancer?
Where does that slippery slope end?
Why are we always making excuses to disrespect and treat each other like trash?

I find it pretty pathetic.
I don't know what goes through people's minds when they decide to track them down and stalk them until they come out of their hotel, all for what? a pic? an autograph? seriously. If it were them in the wrestler's shoes, they'd be just as annoyed. It's their damn privacy, their 'temporary' home for a day or 2 and the last thing they want to see when coming out the door is fans shoving merch and phones in their faces. Same goes for those who stalk flights and wait at the airport for them, which i'd say is even worse because not only are they tired most of the time, but they also have to transfer to other flights or get to cars. And these people are intentionally trying to slow them down for their own gain.
Wait outside the arena before and after the show? Sure, because you're usually blocked off by a gate and the wrestler's will make the time to go over, sign stuff, take pics etc... with the appropriate time. Stalking wrestler's outside Hotels, Airports, or even while they're eating or something similar? No, don't be a d*ck and let them enjoy their time and privacy.
EDIT: Last year after Super Showdown i believe, there was a video online of fans at the airport swarming Triple H as he was trying to make his flight. Not only did it bother me that people were swarming someone trying to travel, but it bothered me that fellow Australians in that video were being absolute d*cks by swarming him. I think there was a video of The Undertaker too, only this time there's wasn't a crowd following him and just a few people saying "Undertaker"

People go out on a limb to ask for an autograph or whatever and you don't know what sort of impact it makes on a fan.

I have my own life to live. I can't just spend time and money to fly random places around the world and sit, waiting for my once off chance to meet someone who plays a character that I enjoy on a TV show.
But if I had the money for something so useless, nah I still wouldn't bc I'm not a creeper.

Not a fan of tracking down wrestlers. I remember Ambrose talking about how he got a flight in his own time and people managed to figure out he would be there wanting autographs etc. There’s also seen plenty of awkward pictures online where you can tell the wrestlers aren’t happy.
I think if you bump into them by chance and there aren’t anyone else surrounding them then fair enough. I know a mate of mine met HBK at the airport, although he didn’t bother asking for a picture or autograph. He just told him he was a massive fan and it was nice to meet him.

Not sure what Jay's (Christian) problem was. Probably jealous that I was getting some time with Adam (Edge in case you didn't know).

I've never done it but it doesn't bother me at all. You can wait for wrestlers in a hotel lobby and still be a respectful fan. Just like you can pay to meet them and still be a giant douche cookie to them, which I've seen multiple times over. We've seen members on here take their kids to hotels, be respectful, and those kids get tons of pictures looking happy as hell. This is literally one of the dumbest things to care about on Earth when it has virtually no affect on your life. /thread

People go out on a limb to ask for an autograph or whatever and you don't know what sort of impact it makes on a fan. and that’s thoughtful and gracious of you to do. I think one thing that needs to be clarified is there is a difference between seeing a wrestler at a gym and giving a nod and hello, maybe even a short chat, to seeking out where they’re staying that night and divebombing them when they’re intentionally avoiding such things.
