Question for all: Is anybody here selling things on ebay and have a buyer file a claim for an unreceived item because the USPS is being slammed? I did! He was super rude and hostile. Told me he wrote a bad review already before contacting me and said I was terrible seller that was trying to scam him... for $17. I live in Chicago, which is already known for terrible USPS, but really haven't had much issues up till now. I explained that I heard they were not scanning to make the process faster, so there was no update on the tracking. He refused to believe me and wait till Tuesday like I asked. I sent his figure on December 8th, he didn't even wait two weeks. Ebay refunded him from my PayPal on Christmas and he wrote me a long message on "how sad I was for trying to scam him out of $17" on Christmas. People are the worst.

It really is ridiculous on how unbalanced ebay is with buyer protection vs seller protection. The seller protection is basically nonexistent. Not letting sellers leave negative feedback anymore is one of their worst policies. How else can you warn other sellers? Their “Report a buyer” is a joke. I’ve been scammed, extorted for feedback, etc and ebay doesn’t care. From what I can tell, they don’t even suspend the buyers I report. In your case, eventhough I print the labels through ebay, I still wait in line at the post office to get that initial accepted scan. Plus, you get a receipt. At least you have some proof you actually shipped it. If priority was used, then that’s also your proof when filing a claim if in fact it gets lost.

It's weird. I had six items, all of them in various degrees of hangup from the past month or so.
Then, on the 24th, four of them showed up all at once without warning.
The other two showed up on the 26th, again, no warning. They were in California, then suddenly in my mailbox.
It was like bonus Christmas.

Yeah still waiting for my PS Hayes and Rocky Johnson. What usually takes one day is now a week. They shipped on the 22nd and as of Christmas it was showing yesterday as the scheduled delivery date. Well it’s now the second day of it sitting at the Monsey NY PO. So I doubt it’ll be here today. Hopefully it arrives by tomorrow.

So does anyone know if they’re not updating tracking just because of covid and just expect them to not update it?

Have a huge order that was “pre-shipment” since the 17th and still says “pre-shipment”. This blows, never using USPS again.

sometimes it takes a bit to get scanned at another facility. i had that issue , where my own PO never even scanned the package ("accepted") but then it got scanned at a HUB in my state about 5 hours from me. but it took 4 days to do it. granted it went parcel select ground. but still, employees need to scan the package is what made me mad.

Don't worry. I had some bayberry candles sitting in Des Moines for about 3 weeks (Dec 4 - 23) and then it finally moved. There are TONS and TONS of giant carts of mail and they can only move so many each day. If it is not Amazon.com or Target.com, there is not enough manpower to get to it quickly. It'll die down and you'll get it. Probably in about 3 weeks.

Hate to bump this, but FedEx literally lost my Ultimate Edge in the mail, delivered it to the wrong address or something. I opened a claim with them AND with ringside, and FedEx claims that the package was delivered properly (it was supposed to have arrived on the 20th of February). Ringside offered to sell me the figure I never received for half price... which is okay, I guess, but I literally already paid 44 bucks for this figure and never got it, I’m not about to pay another 22 for it on top of that. It’s just baffling to me that neither FedEx nor ringside has any sort of protection on their packages and now I’m out 44 bucks with nothing to show for it. Not gonna order again after this tbh

You should be able to ask for a transcript from fedex to see the actual shipping movement. When something is delivered they have to scan the package which is like a gps device as well. So if it shows your address as last location or someone elses then you can go from there
