Mania would put them in an interesting position going forward. Last year Friday Night held the Hall of Fame Ceremony. Saturday Night was NXT, Sunday Mania, Monday Raw and Tuesday Smackdown. They could now do it the following way: Thursday before Mania: WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony Friday before Mania: Final Smackdown before Mania Saturday: NXT Takeover Sunday: WrestleMania Monday: RAW Tuesday: Post Mania International NXT Tapings & 205 Event I've found that not a lot of people stick around for Tuesday afterwards. There are big sections of the arena tarped off each time. Same with HOF, the audience didn't seem too engaged, and unless there is a stacked class, I don't know if it's necessary for WM weekend, although it's tradition and people have strong opinions about it. An NXT/205 Live taping I don't see being as successful, as the opportunity cost for most would outweigh the benefits to extend an extra day and foregoing returning to work/school/etc. Understandable, I was only throwing out a possible scenario and while six straight days of wrestling events would be a lot to take in sadly I could see the WWE doing something like it. It'll all depend on if they keep that final Smackdown before Mania live or not, also doing things this way could also prevent them from having matches at Fan Axxess, or they could use those matches to fill in the post Mania NXT UK/International Tapings and 205 shows.

It should've went 3 hours. Most of the roster are rotting away in the locker room with barely any feuds of matches. An extra hour would help give them TV time. I'm also a little unsure about it's move to Fridays. On PPV weeks it will be a long wait from Sunday to Friday to see the aftermath where with Raw it will only be 1 night. This will make it really inconvenient for WM weekend for those wanting to go to SDL. Maybe they'll make a one time exception for that week. Mania would put them in an interesting position going forward. Last year Friday Night held the Hall of Fame Ceremony. WWE doesn't run TV/PPV/Network specials from the Garden anymore due to the Union that is there. If they aren't going to use the venue more than once or twice a year for a house show then why not let someone else book the space and see how they do?

As I said in the Raw Thread it was a missed opportunity: Why the hell wasn't Baron Corbin getting his head shaved part of an angle? You could have had Kurt book Corbin in a match and after it starts Kurt comes out and announces it's now a Hair v Hair match. This way after Corbin gets his head shaved you have even more built up tension between him and Kurt.

I hope he drops the belt to Curt Hawkins on the way out lol
Picture this Brock and Heyman are in the ring doing their usual schtick and out comes Hawkins who says since he's going to lose tonight anyway why not lose to Brock in a Universal Championship Match. At first Brock and Heyman laugh him off before Lesnar against Heyman's wishes says why the hell not, he needs a work out anyway. Bell rings, Brock charges Hawkins in the corner Hawkins dodges Brock hits the corner hard and gets rolled up by Hawkins, 1-2-3 NEW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!!! Brock then DESTROYS Hawkins before leaving in disgust out comes Mr. MiTB to cash in and win the Universal Championship from the nearly dead Hawkins. Hawkins goes back to being the jobber he is and his losing streak actually means something. Brock then loses clean to the MiTB Winner/New Universal Champion at SummerSlam and leaves

This is why you don't call people up if you don't have any immediate angles for them to get over with the Main Roster crowds. Calling people up and not using them isn't how you build new talents up

Long story; Bret's contract was a 20 year deal that would have dropped off significantly once his in-ring commitments were done 5-6 years tops before working a behind the scene roll for the remainder of the contract (ambassador, producer, whatever). Bret's contract would have kept him near the top of the card for the remainder of his run as well.
A year into the deal Vince needed money to bring in Mike Tyson for Mania and the biggest "drain" on the books was the Hitman's contract. With revenues on the downside and WWE/F hanging on by a thread at that time it made sense for Vinnie Mac to see if Bret was willing to cut ties, or he let him know that he taking an out clause the contact probably had (I've never seen the actual contract so this is pure speculation)
Short Story: If Bret stayed there wouldn't have been no Mike Tyson at Mania that year and we probably wouldn't have gotten the rise of Stone Cold which completely turned things around for the WWE/F at a time when there was a very strong possibility of them actually going bankrupt.

Wasn't there a rumor not to long ago about the WWE possibly opening a Hall of Fame at Universal Studios City Walk not too long ago?

On the Edge and Christian Podcast Cody mentioned that since the show has sold out they don't need the money they've set aside for marketing, so that money will be put into other aspects of the event.
As for the talent involved in the show I am sure that many of them could be working for less than they would otherwise to be a part of the show and to help their friends out. This show could easily turn a profit if things are done right.

One good thing for all the talent involved with this deal is both rosters would only have to be on the road Thursday Night - Tuesday Morning giving everyone the same days off unless they have personal appearances to make. SD could easily go live every Friday and I think that was probably a huge part of the Fox deal. It's also great to see Fox already spending some of that Disney cash lol

I think by "Bad News" marino13 means that the brand extension is probably far from ending Why would you want the brand extension to end? There’s too many titles for that to happen, many wrestlers would get lost in the shuffle and everything would be unorganised. I personally don't want the Brand Extension to end, but judging by the majority of posts I read on here most fans on this board want it to end. At least that is the vibe I get by reading them. The Brand Extension is a great thing and if the WWE can get into a good grove with it it could really be a truly amazing thing.

At a recent house show I attended Elias hands down had the biggest reaction of the night. The guy is over, and I love his character and gimmick

I honesty prefer the unpredictability that a single MITB match brings. Will they cash in against the Raw or Smackdown Champ each week brings intrigue to the roster. Every time either champ gets beat down could be the moment that the guy/gal makes that run to the ring. I say go with two one for the men and one for the women. Make each match have 8 guys/gals respectively and let the best man/woman stand tall at the end.

Is it possible with today's technology for the WWE to hold WrestleMania live from another country? Yes it is. Will they? That remains to be seen. I guess it all depend on the kinds of numbers that events like the Greatest Royal Rumble and the house show they aired not to long ago from Japan did in North America.
If they do it I suspect that they'll start with something other than Mania first.
