I'm pretty sure we've got every season on DVD, as my wife loves this show. I have a lot of fond memories of this show from my childhood as it seems like one of the things my grandparents watched pretty regularly. Now, I watch it with the wife and kids when we need a good show that's funny without being too overtly sexual. Though Blanche still pushes the envelope of innuendo even today, I think.

I hate the new FX. They look terrible. Entrance Greats Goldberg looks like a drag queen with a beard. It is not good. And if you look closely, it blurs and messes with your eyes. I've seen a GM Kurt Angle that had his eye paint sprayed next to his eye. It completely missed the eye mold. The most I ever saw before were wonky pupils, never entire eyes that missed the socket completely. by no means am I disagreeing or arguing but it reminded me of this which always makes me lol "Heyyy you guyyyys!" lol

Y'know, whether the Undertaker is helping out in some capacity at the AEW or not is kind of beside the point. The fact that the AEW is creating enough of a stir that threads like this even come up is encouraging. I'm seeing a lot of posts by folks who are not happy with the direction the WWE has taken today. Folks calling a lot of the current matches unwatchable, formulaic, boring, etc. Well, even if the AEW doesn't manage more than a blip on the radar, how can it be a bad thing if they force the WWE to sit up and do something about their current presentation? It sounds like the WWE has become a top heavy slug of an organization that is coasting on momentum from its glory days. I hope AEW does manage to stretch the WWE out a little, then they'll have no choice but to innovate again. Competition is good, even for sports entertainment.

For fans of the bad guys of wrestling, this book is a very worthy addition to your collection. I thought it was going to be my speed just by the sheer fact that it had Dick the Bulldog Brower on the cover. If you ever wanted to read up on some of the biggest heels of all time, this book has got some definite top contenders. Though it's geared mainly toward the territory days of wrestling, it still has some big names of the modern era like Triple H, Kane, and Randy Orton, among others. The sections break down by "The Top Twenty", followed by "The Next Five," "The Pioneers," "The Madmen," "The Egotists," "The Monsters," "The Technicians," "The Connivers," "The Tough Guys," and "The Foreigners."
What I found the most gripping was the territory era for the heel. Kayfabe was almost uniform in every promotion, and the heels really earned venom from the crowds. In some promotions, they'd have to fight their way to the ring. People would riot and storm the ring to attack the villains of this time period when they played dirty to win. Heels were shot at, stabbed, beaten, even poisoned. I don't think you are going to find this kind of reaction today. Their cars were vandalized, one even had his private plane burned. Simply another time in wrestling history.
While it doesn't have every heel you can imagine, odds are some of your favorites made the list, and a lot of guys you have never even heard of made the list, too. There are guys in here that had their heydays from the 20s through the 70s, and footage may not even exist of a lot of 'em. Still, it's a fun peek behind the curtain of the business, and shines a spotlight on the guys that make your babyfaces look good.

I'm guessing Hogan body slamming Andre for the win at Wrestlemania 3 with 93,000 fans packing the Silverdome was a pretty massive pop.

Needcustomsmade asked me to work on a Kenny Omega custom for him based upon Stuart?'s formula. So in the process of working on it, I also found out from him that he was going to be having it signed by the man himself! He put together a custom packaging for it after he received the figure, and I think it came together quite well!

I love to create customs, and can appreciate the work that goes into them. Some of the best ones outshine figures that are mass produced in their artistry, and I've seen packaging that was indistinguishable from what you'd see at the store. I can also understand that there are those who don't care for them. Not every custom is spot on, but I can also appreciate that an artist may just be starting out. Skill takes time to develop. Being a loose collector, I always do my best to make them look "right" with the standard issue figs.

Am I right in thinking you'll use a Jim Ross head for Mr. Belvidere? I'd been looking at that option, but I haven't got a Jim Ross. So, it's time to rework one of the heads I do have. I'm going to lock the poll. Mr. Belvedere for the win! The French Angel in a close second. Thanks to all who voted, I'll have some pictures up on my customs thread soon.

So far, Mr. Belvedere is chopping down the competition!

I've got a lot of figures in various stages of ongoing work. It's creating a bit of an artists block, with so many irons in the fire. So, I have decided to poll the audience, and help me get off of my indecisive butt. Set down your vote from the poll!
Welfare Queen, Sheila the She-Wolf, Beirut and Fortune Cookie are ladies of the Netflix GLOW series. Wild Bull Curry, Maurice Tillet and Argentina Apollo are all wrestlers from the territory days. As for Mr. Belvedere, he's just a housekeeper on a mission!

To me, if they're getting them legit Dollar Tree crap, you may just have cheapskate in-laws. If it's such crappy crap, it's uncrappable, then you could probably always request they just not worry about bringing a present and just bring candy or something instead. I'd be a bit shocked if there were people out there who think "Oh yeah, Dollar Tree, now that's high quality goods!" I'm exaggerating a bit, as they can sometimes have some cool stuff, but it's all a frickin' dollar. And we live in a capitalist society obsessed with having lots of money and high-end goods. So they know they're getting cheap crap. Still, how do your kids react to their presents? If they like what they're getting, whatever price point it may be, well, why worry? And if the in-laws are shopping the big Dollah for all the presents, this must mean it's a family tradition, and you'd better start buying their presents there, too!

Alexa is awful Ambrose is awful Nakamura is very good Drew looks like Bad News Barrett smells poop Finn is the winner of the set I laughed for 5 minutes straight. Then my kids laughed after I showed them his face and your comment. Now I can never look at this figure again without this tagline in my head.

Mr. Sleaze and Kingpin appear the closest, while Captain Harris is wearing a formal uniform. It also looks like the old Dick Tracy figures fall into that scale, though heads would probably have to be swapped.

Krylon Matte Finish is my go-to sealer. Very easy to use, and doesn't go on too heavily.
