So, correct me if I'm wrong here...but is it safe to assume that the Championship coming with this UE Kane should be the blue strap version?
I know the UE Austin just came with it, but for accuracies sake, it was still the blue strap when Kane won it from Austin.
I know Austin won it back the next night, but I can't remember if it was still blue on RAW, or if they switched to the black strap before the show started or afterwards once SCSA regained it

Can’t wait for the next year of arguing over this. I got my Diesel. I’m happy. lol I know, right? The project got backed. We got an awesome LED entrance that's never been made before. We got the most detailed and accurate ring to date. We got UE Diesel. We got UE Doink. We got the additional ring skirts. If you backed up until yesterday, you got UE Macho, and all the commentator gear. If you backed it, then hopefully you are satisfied with your purchase. If you didn't want to, then hopefully you are content with that decision. Either way...just smile and be happy lol

I'm really hoping the wigs for Doink are interchangeable among the three heads. Has anyone seen any word on that? Yes the wigs are all interchangeable with each head (Steve said so in the q and a) You are the man! Thank you for the info!

If they added another stretch goal(s)
I'd want:
1. The old-school metal guard rails (enough to go around the ring and lead up to the entrance)
2. Blue foam 'mats' for the ringside area
3. Another UE figure: Sid, HBK, Bret, Lex, etc (tried to pick ones that would basically be re-paints)
Anyways, I think I'd want the guardrails and blue foam mats the most, mainly because it would help accentuate the ring and entrance the most. It would really help pull the whole thing together as an entire arena...which seems appropriate for the 'Ultimate' banner

I'm super relieved that I backed this before the Macho offer expired!
It's funny, initially I didn't feel like the $250 was getting my money's worth, which is why I held off, but now that we unlocked everything I honestly feel like I'm getting a really good deal. Especially when you consider just the 3 Ultimate Edition figures alone would set you back around 90 bucks.
Admittedly, the UE Doink was my main motivation for backing. I love Doink so much, and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine them giving him the UE treatment. And then I saw Bill say they'd NEVER offer these figures again, so I had to do my part to help.
And I just knew the FOMO was gonna be real, and I foresaw these UE's going for $200+ on the secondary market. I'm ashamed to admit that I probably would have paid that for Doink, too. But that would have been a tough pill to swallow considering for the same amount I could have gotten allllll of that other stuff too.

Hmm, curious about that Austin and Kane 2-pack.
Probably from their first blood championship match?
Or maybe half-mask Kane and Austin when he was...Commissioner?

I think as others have said, the first Rock figure seems to be when people really saw the potential there. I missed out on him, and I'm still mad about it because for a time he was around 30 to 40 on the secondary, so I assumed I had time to catch up. Obviously not the case.
And then, Hollywood Hogan was a huge deal and yet another incredible figure.
But, no way in hell is the hype dying down, and if you really think that, then clearly you missed the upcoming Kane because that thing is pure fire. Honestly, I think it has the potential to be one of the best, and most accurate wrestling figures ever made. I am DYING to get my hands on it.
Oh, and if the New Gen arena is unsuccessful, you will see a grown man cry if I am unable to get that Doink at some point lol

Hey Steve, I hope you are doing well!
I know I'm getting ahead of myself here, with a healthy amount of time still left for the New-Gen Arena.
That said, in the unfortunate event that it doesn't meet funding, will there be opportunities to purchase, at the very least, either of the Ultimate Edition figures?
I am a HUGE Doink the Clown fan, and his Ultimate is legit a dream come true. Everything about it is absolute perfection, and if I can't get my hands on it, I will be heart-broken!
Perhaps he'd be a good candidate for a RSC exclusive or something?
Also, I apologize if this has been asked/answered already!
Thanks Steve!

I'm hoping the Hulk Hogan Survivor Series reveal will be satisfying. With a great head scan,I don't like his ultimate head scans, I think he looks too bald and hopefully it's from Survivor Series 1989. I wouldn't mind it being from Survivor Series 1990 either. I feel bad saying it, but I feel like they have yet to truly nail his likeness. The UE nWo one is great, don't get me wrong...but using those same heads for the WM 9 Hogan? It just looks...mediocre. and it doesn't make sense given this is supposed to be the "Ultimate" figure of this wrestler. And it's frustrating, because for some reason, which I honestly do not understand, is that nobody has yet to make a truly definitive '89 - '91 Hulk Hogan. Not one single toy company has done it. And it's baffling because we've gotten figures from before that era, and we'll after it....but for some reason they always skip over this period for Hogan, and imo that classic Python Power Hogan is always what I think of for him. Hopefully they will have something good to reveal on Friday. And if not...the wait will continue...

My favorites they have done are the Legends chase...green w/ purple snakes is also what I see when I think of him, mainly due to his old WWF Hasbro. The other reason I love this figure is because they nailed the head sculpt and I'm so glad he's got TrueFX.
My second favorite is the Flashback 1996 Jake. In my opinion, it's a perfect wrestling figure. I only wish he could have also utilized TrueFX, but I painted mine to my liking anyways.
As far as next (possibly last?) then yeah, I'd like to get that Snake Bite attire. That shade of blue, and those flames look so bada$$

Still no Python Power Hogan or Hulk still Rules...it's just...baffling at this point.
Same with 97/98 Undertaker, and 2002/2003 half-mask Kane with an actual sculpted mask and accurate knee pads.
I'm not trying to be negative...there was still A LOT of cool stuff shown that I will be getting.
But yeah, every time they do one of these reveals, I think..."THIS is going to be the day! Python Power is coming!!"
Nope. LOL.
Oh well, maybe next time!

I'm so behind on all of the rumors...seriously, what the heck happened to the Hulk Hogan that was rumored to be in 10 or 11?
I mean, I love me some Macho, Flair, Warrior, etc...
but they REALLY gotta play it smart this time around. For the love of God, Mattel, please don't sleep on any more awesome, much-needed, and definitive looks.

Oh my God...that HBK is frigging hilarious 😂😂😂 even his photo on the package has me dying 🤣
That basic Edge is also one of the worst ones I've seen.
This is just further proof that basics need to go lol

We knew the retro line was going to be more modern guys than Legends because at then end of the day they were still toys that needed to have a major child’s appeal. So the modern roster was going to have a heavy presence in it. As for Ryder I know he’s a member here and I have said numerous times I didn’t care for his gimmick. Especially the “woo woo woo” stuff. Never have and never will. I don’t watch the podcast the only Ryder figure I ever purchased was his first Elite. (E9?). But like I said on page 1 he deserves one more than any of us. And I have to wonder if this thread is still about people being hurt/pissed over whatever it was he had said about the FB series 3 Race figure? And if that’s what it’s about you need to let it go already. What was it that he said about the Harley Race figure?

I mean, obviously I'd prefer any and all Legends in the Elite/Ultimate Edition style, but that being said, I still have my fair share of basics and some of them are still really great...the Ring Cart Andre most recently comes to mind.
But even then, if nothing else I can appreciate that it's been another outlet to get more figures of Legends as opposed to having to wait for the main lines.
I'll also pick up a basic that might have a newer/better head sculpt, or maybe arms with new tattoos, etc, and I'll swap it onto an existing Elite.
Lastly, the final thing I'll throw out there is, even though it's a rare occurrence, every so often we'll get a basic that never gets an Elite/UE...probably the most infamous one for me personally is Sid in the blue trunks. Now, rumor is we're getting a new Elite Sid in the near future, but we don't know what attire, era, or parts choices he will have if and when he comes. I'm hoping it's simply an elite version of that basic, but if it isn't I will continue to appreciate blue trunks Sid until a superior one comes out

I had the day off yesterday, and once I saw brickseek showing my walmart had 6+ of the DoD SKU/UPC (idk how accurate this is...but I figured I'd give it a shot)
I get down the usual aisle and there's nothing. I swing around and there's the display set up on an end cap in all its glory, and it's packed to the brim. I'm frantically scanning each of the slots, ecstatic that I was FINALLY about to get my grail Kane!!
But that soon turned to utter disappointment when I realized it was filled with only DoD series 1, CE Undertakers and a handful of Elite 80. Note that this was also the first time seeing any DoD figs in the wild. Distribution around me is God awful
What a kick in the crotch that turned out to be...

I'll throw my 2 cents in here...
The UE has definitely grown on me. But yeah, the smiling scan just doesn't work. Granted, I still kinda appreciate them throwing it in because it wasn't originally in the gray scale pics, and it's also cool to have it since it was originally intended for the DM figure that had been canceled.
But, my vote for best nWo/late-career Hogan likeness would probably be Jakks Ringside Rebels 12" figure.
And yeah, hopefully Mattel gets the opportunity to make lots and lots of Hogan's and lots of opportunities to improve

My only real criticism about the UE Hollywood is the limited forward movement in his torso. And it's such a shame too, because the double elbows and butterfly joints are fantastic, but it sucks that Hollywood still can't really do a convincing 'Big Boot' or even a leg drop, because he can't get that full crunch forward.
Honestly, I wish they would do their torsos like the AEW line, because the combo of the mid-torso ball joint AND the ball joint at the waist is literally perfect and allows for great range
I do also wish Mattel figures in general had better ankle articulation, but even more so for UE's because while the hinged toes are a nice touch, the limited ankles almost cancel them out.
