bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/CoroCoro_offically_reveals_new_Megas,_final_starter_evolutions Mega Tyranitar in X, Mega Aggron in Y, Mega Kangaskhan and Gengar officially revealed, and Nintendo shows the final starter evos, finally, after everyone already knew: Mega Aggron is now Pure Steel Chesnaught is Grass/Fighting Delphox is Fire/Psychic Greninja is Water/Dark Imma be a GameStop Midnight to get X. At this point, I've pretty much decided to get Bulbasaur, Torchic, and Froakie. From what I'm reading, it's Aggron is exclusive to X while Tyranitar is exclusive to Y. First time I'm really disappointed with getting X instead of Y, but I'll live.

You get it right at the start from what I'm reading.

Kliquid, it was actually three separate trades so three people were all willing to allow me accumulate that team. And yeah, Pierre Garcon was available on waivers in the league that I just talked about and I had an empty bench slot after one of my trades processed. So yeah, I got another top 20 WR on the team after the best non QB player I gave up in those trades was a top 20 WR.

Serebii has updated their site to include all of the new Pokemon. Mega Evolutions have not been updated though. My complaint about this generation is that there doesn't seem to be many diversity in types. It seems like almost every new guy is either Fairy or Dragon type. I honestly like most of the Pokemon and though the initial final evolutions weren't great to me, they've grown on me as time has gone on. My team will likely look something like this: Froakie (Greninja) Pancham (Pangoro) Tyrunt (Tyrantrum) Litleo (Pyroar) Flabebe (Florges) Helioptile (Heliolisk)
although I'm considering swapping out Pangoro or Greninja for a Mega Evolution of something

So I just thought I'd drop in to tell you guys about my very active fantasy week. I never have done a fantasy league with friends before so I want to show off my fantasy prowess. The team that I showed you guys at the beginning of the season was the team I am talking about. I am one to be really active on waivers, but never really with trades. This week I have done three trades, which is more than I've ever done in one league in a whole season. But I think I came out extremely well.
The players I got: Adrian Peterson, Randall Cobb, Darren McFadden, and Drew Brees
The players I gave up: Tony Romo, Willis McGahee, Kenbrell Thompkins, Maurice Jones-Drew, DeAngelo Williams, Eddie Royal, Robert Griffin III, and Antonio Brown.
So yeah, I gave up a lot of players but I think I upgraded in the three positions involved. My standard 10 team league team will look like this once the trades process:
QB: Drew Brees, Terrell Pryor RB: Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Darren McFadden, Bilal Powell, Lamar Miller WR: Calvin Johnson, Randall Cobb, Roddy White, Harry Douglas TE: Julius Thomas DEF: Ravens K: Justin Tucker
And then a couple of pick-ups from off of waivers. There's a lot of decent guys out there, so I'm not too worried about it. Risky strategy, but I think it worked out for me. Especially if White can get himself healthy.

Honestly, the way the Jets have been playing, and looking at their schedule, it's not completely unrealistic to think that they could squeeze in. I mean, I don't think anyone would've said the Jets would be 3-2 (with one of those loses being pretty close) at this point. A lot of the regular contenders (including my Ravens) are struggling pretty hard so far. The Dolphins are inconsistent, and the Patriots offense looks pretty bad. The only really good team the Jets have left on their schedule is the Saints. Do I think they will? No. Do I think they could? Absolutely. I think the hate has gone a bit too far, and I'm not even a Jets fan.

I'm strongly against three shows between each PPV. The current format is five, is it not? That's what it was when I was owner. And I could've swore it still was. I don't feel like three shows is enough build. I'm fine with cutting it to four, but I don't think three is enough.
I like the idea of a schedule and the segment and other deadlines becoming more strict, but I'm not going to believe it until it's sustained for longer than one or two shows. We tried that in my run, and it's a lot harder than you think. Part of the reason for that is what I'm about to bring up.
Honestly the thing holding the fed back more than anything is a lack activity from it's participants. That includes posting on the forum in general discussion, replying to each other's work, and writing up segments for the show. Coming here to only write RPs and then not do anything else, while completely fine if a small number does it, completely sucks out any appearance of activity for the federation as a whole. I mean, who wants to be a part of a board where there are spans of three or four days without a single post of the board?
I'm all for a tight schedule and a whole professional look and everything, but what's really going to draw people in is a community of writers who help each other improve their creative abilities in a welcoming, competitive, and fun environment. We have the tools here, and a number of people are already taking an initiative in helping this along, but three or four people doing so isn't going to be enough. I think the focus should be elsewhere right now. As long as the shows are getting up in a timely manner, which other than the PPV they have since I've returned, then it's not really a big issue for me personally.
My biggest complaint is the complete lack of replies to people's work. In an ideal world, all RPs should have at least 5 replies to them. I understand that some people are busy sometimes, but a lot of the RPs are pretty short and take no longer than ten minutes for me, a pretty slow reader, to read. I was really disappointed personally when I put a ton of work into my piece for this show and then to only get one reply from an active competitor. I'd rather have someone tell me that it's really horrible than get nothing at all. At least then I'll have something to draw from for future works. I know the owners are required to read the RPs, I don't think short replies are that big of a deal. It takes me literally a minute or two to type something up. That's not to knock the job the owners are doing of course but it's something that I've been feeling lately.
Overall, I really do not want the show cycles to go down to three regular shows between PPVs and activity is the issue WFWF is facing and not professionalism.

Looks like Pokemon Transporter can only be used in conjuction with Pokemon Bank, so in other words if you want to be able to bring your B/W Pokemon into X/Y it's going to cost $4.99. If you download it before January, you get a month for free. They did that so you don't have to pay solely to transfer your previous Pokemon.

I went ahead and stickied this. If the owners have issues, it can be unstickied but I figured anything that promotes activity should be at the top.
Yukio Blaze vs. Scarlett Quinn
Gotta go with Scarlett here, I like Yukio's current style and everything but as I've said before I don't think it's competitive with the top writers around here and Mike has been nothing short of a top writer around here when he RPs.
Shawn Malakai vs. Reverend Shadow
I think this and the two two matches are going to be the most competitive matches on the card if both writers give their full attention to writing. Shawn did not have that last time and I know he's looking to rebuild from last week. Rev's been tearing it up since he returned and his pieces have all been consistently good. Based on how busy Shawn has been and the consistency that Rev has displayed, I'm gonna go with Shadow on this one.
Joe Bishop vs. Thunder
Like I said, I'm really looking forward to this one. Bishop has really stepped into his own as of late and his work has been really good apart from last week which was more of a timing issue. I'm getting reports that Thunder plans on trying to win this tournament and if that's true, he could be very dangerous for the rest of the competition. Plus, Thunder's recent work has been a step up from what he was posting previously, so he's also got that going for him. I think this is going to be close, but I'm going with Thunder.
Mak Cross vs. Dex
Mak is going in to this as my personal favorite to win the whole tournament. He's showing that he wants to do well here by posting really good work even if sometimes it's a little late. Dex definitely has a bright future here and a crap ton of potential. I look forward to seeing him develop but for right now I don't think he's ready to compete on Mak's level just yet. Gotta go with Mak.
Jayson Garrett vs. Ace Andrews
This match would be interesting if I thought Andrews was going to show, but I really don't. Shame too because when he posted he really had some talent. Garrett has dark horse written all over him in terms of this tournament and I wouldn't be too shocked if he pulled it out the way he's growing. Going with Garrett here.
Devilkiller vs. Dave Demento
Another case of I don't think one of these people is going to show. Demento has been on fire recently and his work has vastly improved in a very short time. Devilkiller hasn't been around since I've returned, I think it's about time we stop booking him. Going with Demento.
Andrew Carter vs. Brock Maxx
And once again, I don't think Carter will show. I'm not going to go into that any further, but yeah. Maxx could be good in the future and I think he's got a victory coming for himself here.

What's this new black/blue Charizard all about? Is it a mega transformation or something? Is it like a different pokemon to the regular Charizard, and do you have to select Charmander to be able to get one (as it looks really cool)? Also I've just seen the final stage evolutions for the 3 new starters and have to say that they're some of the worst pokemon ever. Out of all 9 different pokemon you can get from the starters, the only one I like is Fennekin, and Froakie is OK. I Might not even bother with them and see if I can get someone to trade for either Squirtle or Charmander (as I'm going to go for Ivysaur). It's a mega evolution that is exclusive to Pokemon X. To get an mega evolution, you have to have Charizard and a special item (which I believe is called Charizardinite X). Make Charizard hold the item and then in battle, you Charizard will transform to Mega Charizard X, and will then return to it's regular form after the battle is over.

That's a fair point I suppose. I've not watched the anime since the Johto region and haven't watched any movie since the Lugia one. I've been all about the games with Pokemon since third gen.

I honestly don't see the big deal. It's a new mechanic that is completely optional. It's not like they're forcing you to use them. Think of it like Pokemon Contests, or the News Interviews.
The only issue I have is that they are already giving over powered Pokemon megas that don't need them. Garchomp, Mewtwo, and Blaziken are already super powerful without a mega.

I'm looking online, and I'll post more info about what I've found. Potentially pictures of final evolutions of the Froakie and Fennekin line have been leaked. Normally I wouldn't believe stuff like this, but these look legit to me and both look pretty cool. Also, Fletchling has a middle evolution known as Fletchrider. I won't post pictures of those since they were never revealed even in rumors, in case people don't want to be spoiled. However this was released today by the Pokemon Company. Mega Charizard X will be Fire/Dragon(!) type and will only be available to those who purchase X. Not big on the design, like the other one better. But it's really cool that it's getting dragon type.

instagram.com/kosthedinThis guy somehow got an early copy of Pokemon X and is currently posting pictures and videos of him as he plays through. No new information really aside from Pokedex numbers, entries and some older Pokemon that appear in the game, but it's awesome to see what the game looks like.

If you want to lead that, by all means. I tried doing that back in the day and it last about 3 or 4 shows before people just stopped participating. It's good fun if people do it though.

Special thanks to Shawn, Garrett, Trace, Rev, Mike, Yukio, and anyone else that I'm forgetting for making this show good. I hope I did a better job as temporary owner than I did as full time owner.
I personally think it turned out well all things considered.
