I am very interested in this doc they are promoting right now. Will they give us the real story behind the whole Rock/Roman/Cody cluster F? I think they’ll stick with the storyline version, with some behind the scenes footage making it seem unplanned. I hope they do though, or at least that an in depth account of the real story comes out some time. To me the only thing that makes sense is that CM Punk was originally going to play the Seth Rollins role, and that Seth Rollins would’ve played the Drew McIntyre role. But anything could’ve happened in the World Wrestling Federation.

Surely you would rather wait for them to do an UE down the line based off of her attire last night, imagine the different face sculpts etc with her mad menacing grin. I’d rather have one from 2023 I’d use a Mania 2023 Rhea figure’s head to put on a Goldust or Demon Balor body to make the singer in a Mania 2024 Rhea entrance display.

After so many “Defining Moments” figures that fit the line’s name verrry loosely, Pipebomb CM Punk is one that’s a perfect fit. I’m assuming Money in the Bank 2011 will be a future Ultimate Edition figure as well.
The choice to put out more figures from Punk’s underwhelming Wolverine era is a strange one but I’m sure there are younger fans who have nostalgia for that version.
Good stuff overall!

In 2015, we all said Roman wasn’t the guy and that Vince was wrong. Not all of us.

Was not expecting the intercontinental title to change hands. Really good match.

The women’s tag match was pretty damn good. Exceeded my expectations.
Uso vs Uso, sadly, did not.

That Rhea Ripley entrance was awesome. The singer having her old head was creepy but great. Loved the shallow DOF on the intros as well. What a start to the show!

That figure of The Rock in the shorts and Hawaiian shirt, has that been released already?

I definitely understand why a lot of AEWs don’t like Punk right now. Definitely understand why Tony probably doesn’t like him right now. But holy sh** needing everyone in the company to publicly talk about how great it is and the multiple references to Punk made by the Bucks is cringey as hell. It’s at the point where it feels like Punk is still the biggest talking point of the company. Even before the interview. It’s a difficult one. I can understand people’s urge to defend the kid paying their bills, but it’s counterproductive. CM Punk said it’s not a real business and their response is “let’s immediately prove him right!” The most damning part is that they even devoted time on the TV show to doing that. Edge should go back to using the Downward Spiral as his finisher, in reference to how well his current run is going. After the new signings flopped and then the humiliation from Punk that they’ve then made worse for themselves, AEW badly needs something positive to happen. At the very least, they need MJF back asap.

Idk but his interview with Ariel was so good. He ripped some people to shreds 🤣 Was this an episode of 'Ariel Heiwani meets'? Still need a Broken Skull session. At WrestleMania, they usually do a Network/Peacock ad hyping up the big specials coming up on there in the next few months, I think? A Broken Skull episode with CM Punk seems perfect for that.

I think this would be perfect although I think Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne would be awesome SD tag champions. I imagine either way the feud after Mania will be Bate/Dunne Vs Theory/Waller for a while. I think Waller and Theory should win the belts at Mania then let Bate and Dunne win them at SummerSlam Fingerpoke of doom?

And they have. Thing is, people don’t all want the same legends. That’s a bit of a stretch. I think you know what he meant by that. Yes, he meant the figures they have released since he said it. And most of those figures have had someone whining about them, so people very obviously don’t all want the same figures.

Didn’t someone say that last night was the first match Damage CTRL lost in 2024? But "buried" and "booked like jobbers"... You have to remember that a lot of diva stans are really unhinged and weird, and will scream “BURIAL” whenever their favourite loses one match. It’s often amplified a millionfold when it comes to Asuka - she has the longest undefeated streak of any woman in WWE history, she is one of the most decorated women in WWE history (and was the second ever women’s grand slam champion), she won the first women’s Royal Rumble, won Money in the Bank etc etc… but there are unemployed fans of hers who will swear she’s been buried, ruined and disrespected and “booked like a jobber” through her WWE career.

It's different, because when the series came back, Steve said they would focus on the legends people wanted
And they have. Thing is, people don’t all want the same legends.

Kinda bummed too. Up until DX, I was a retro Hasbro completionist. Why is an Attitude Era stable in there?! While I bought the NWO set (hard to pass up anything Hulkster), but a non-Hasbro era stable from another company?! So thanks to the DX set, it makes it an easy decision to pass on this latest 4-pack, not a single one of them are worth it. They launched the line seven years ago. John Cena, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Kevin Owens were in series 1. Sting, Kane, The Rock, Stone Cold and Mankind were in series 2. It seems very silly to start REEEEEEEing in 2024 that they are making figures of wrestlers from outside of the 1989-1994 WWF period.
