You mean that they couldn't take advantage of a huge warehouse of left-over parts, get a couple of licenses on the cheap, then use said left-over pieces to create figures that cost them close to nothing to produce? Then when the parts started running out, they get out of the game and because they realize that making new parts for the figures was counter productive to their bottom line? I don't see the point in saying I don't understand metaphors. I wasn't trolling you man... Yep pretty much everything you said except them taking forever to sell a new line figures and cancelling prototypes. You just seemed lost to me is all, you aren't now though. Jakks is going to mess this up like they already messed up TNA, UFC and let's not forget their Nintendo license they also signed and have showed little to nothing regarding it. Plus they never show up for any conventions to where they can showcase their new figures and discuss the future of the line like other toy companies do. Jakks is a mystery. This whole thread has been very misleading... This news story is actually a few years old! The only NJPW thing they did was throwing the logo on the Hogan as seen earlier in the thread.

What are you talking about!!??!? lol.... Did you run a specialty shop and get stiffed by them on an order or something? I'm completely lost Where have you been all these years? Jakks can't even handle TNA and UFC as it is what makes them think they'll be able to handle NJPW? If anything Jakks is biting off more than one can chew metaphorically of course. Apparently you don't understand metaphors well. You don't know that The 'E sends agents or scouts to these shows, which makes the talent work smarter/harder/better during these shows. Of course I know that WWE (or "The 'E" to certain kinds of fans) sends talent scouts to small-time shows. I also know that that doesn't stop them from being small-time shows, just like a college scout being at a high school game doesn't make it an NFL game. It's fine to like the small-time stuff, and for a minor league match to be your favourite match of the year in 2006. It makes you feel like you're sticking it to the man and being counter-culture and "informed" all that, and that's all very cute. And absolutely, the minor league talent step it up when there are scouts in town... Which they wouldn't do if they didn't want to make it to the big time. But anything negative that comes out of one of those minor league shows can reflect badly on the real wrestling promotion and any money going into minor league pockets isn't going into Vinnie Mac's pocket, which is why the real promotion wants to monopolise a city on WrestleMania weekend. Once again, ignorance rears it's ugly head in your post. I didn't say that Do Fixer/Blood Generation was my favorite match of 2006. I said that it was the 2006 MOTY. As in the most prestigious Pro Wrestling periodical and it's readers named it MOTY 2006. A periodical that voted John Cena into their HoF, which shows that it's not "counter culture" at all. lol, I like how you said "or The 'E" to certain kinds of fans" like you were getting one over on me or something. That really make me laugh out loud... Once again, not being an @ss, just pointing out that you post in a way that's confrontational. But you're ignorance on what your posting combined with the confrontational manner of your posts isn't a good mix IMO.

Yeah I mean F4 is already a pass for me at the theater. I don't particularly care for the cast minus Jamie Bell, who doesn't even fit the role, and this doesn't fall into the X-Men/Superman/Batman category where I'll see it no matter what. If I hear it's a train wreck I'll skip it altogether. If I hear it's alright then I'll catch it on DVD... and by that I mean torrents. We're getting way too much stuff these days to lose sleep over sh*t like this imo. If some douchey director wants to ignore fans of the source material then we have so many other mediums and properties to enjoy. I just feel bad for hardcore F4 fans because they've been sh*t on thus far imo. Totally agree with you man. I'll pay to see Marvel Studios movies & Sony really are trying to turn things around with Spider-Man, that I'll pay to see those too, but Fox are absolutely ridiculous & atrocious with most of their adaptations (More Bad than good no matter how dearly people hold X1, X2, The Wolverine or First Class in such high regard ), they've done more damage to Marvel properties than they have good IMO. So, I shall be seeing X-Men DOFP for Free Thanks to my friend who works in a cinema. IF it so happens to be good upon viewing, I'll pay to see it again, but because I really don't trust Fox the most out of them, Sony & Marvel Studios, I'll be seeing this for Free first. I don't even care about seeing Fantastic Four for Free, I like Jamie Bell as an actor, but EVERYHTING & the casting about this film is just wrong, wrong & MORE WRONG! I may be no casting expert, but I think I came up with a much better cast than they're going with themselves..... Mr. Fantastic / Reed Richards - Andrew Lincoln Invisible Woman / Sue Storm - Laurie Holden or Ali Larter (Larter is also one of my possible choices for Ms. Marvel as well )Human Torch / Johnny Storm - Ryan Kwanten or Aaron Paul The Thing / Ben Grimm - Joel Edgerton Dr. Doom - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau I like how you said that Fox has done more harm than good and then don't explain yourself. I mean sure, the FF films were bad. Really bad. But saying that their X-Men films have damaged the brand is a ridiculous statement. You're lack of reasoning on the subject makes me think you were just trolling. Also, Darabont isn't casting the next FF film lol...

I'm on a road trip to New Orleans for Wrestlemania with a buddy of mine and he bought Ring of Honor tickets for Friday for my birthday. And we kind of debated about whether having other promotions piggybacking off of Wrestlemania was - pun intended - "good for business." Now that wwe is taking steps in making sure other promotions aren't allowed to do it anymore, does it hurt the business overall or is it right for wwe to make sure fans aren't exposed to other brands of wrestling? *I hope everyone enjoys WM weekend! It's absolutely right for them to shut it down and provide enough avenues for fans to spend their money on official WWE stuff rather than inferior products. If they can keep enough WWE activities going all week/weekend to entertain fans in town, then it'd be silly to let the minor league shows run. Those minor shows could have all manner of deathmatches, poor management, bad behaviour from minor league wrestlers etc that gives visiting fans or the local community a bad experience or bad impression of wrestling. Apparently they're thinking of running NXT shows in small venues over WrestleMania weekend next year. I'm not trying to start an argument. I'm not trying to come across as an @sshole. You are uninformed. I'm not slurring you or anything, I'm just letting you know that you are uninformed. Here, this is the definition of a word that might come across formented, so I'll leave the word out... 1.lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.EDIT:Everybody starts out somewhere. The good ones then make it to WWE developmental and, if they're good enough, the main roster. Typical ignorant WWE fan boy response. Someone beat me to it. Though I think my way was a bit more... Nicer You obviously have no awareness of anything other than The 'E. That's not a bad thing until you go around saying things like more people know who Bastion Booger is compared to Jushin Liger. You're opinion of the current Indie scene is based off of circa 2000 local news reports. You have no idea that one of these "inferior products" produced the 2006 MOTY during a Wrestlemania weekend show in Chicago. You don't know that The 'E sends agents or scouts to these shows, which makes the talent work smarter/harder/better during these shows. Once again, I'd like to point out that I'm not calling you stupid or a bad person or anything. Just saying that if you're going to make these uninformed comments, people are going to disagree.

The Wizeguys are pretty rare Was that board wide auto-correct? Or is that the street name for a tag team that I'm not hip to?

That Rhyno is one of the best figures made, I reckon. Oh yeah. The Benoit figure was amazing as well. Their bodies were actually their bodies ya know? And Rhyno had such a different look. Plus, he came with a table! R3s fit perfectly with the Mattel figures, PERFECT.

Did anyone here ever play the MVP Baseball series? What were your favorite aspects of the game--I know the gameplay was great and it always ran smooth.
I still play 05 with mods on my computer, and I have to wonder if EA will make it again for the Next-Gen consoles, as 2K doesn't produce the baseball games anymore. I haven't played since the 2011 season. It's amazing how that community keeps chuggin' along. I got an email alert from the main site about the '14 rosters and thought about starting a season up, but I just got Pro Yakyuu '14 for the PSP. Pro Yakyuu has the greatest physics engine in video games. Not just sports games! Are you going to be doing the 14 Mod or are you in the middle of a season with one of the others? I preferred NCAA '05 to '06. I can't recall the reason, but I think the pitching was just better in '05. I might check it out again sometime this summer.

Jakks Legends line use the RA bodies.... Here's an old WIP pic of a Liger I did years ago. Note the shirted torso. Anyways, I just noticed that this wasn't new news lol... Still, the whole "Rob Terry body/Hulk shirted torso" was an ill informed statement on your part. Jakks used the RA body line for their Legends series, there was a normal sized shirted torso, and Liger would've been just as recognizable as 40% of the other Classic Superstars Jakks put out.

'the hell? Explain how Jushin f*<king Liger isn't the only reason they made this deal. Who else has made more American appearances over the last 20 years than Liger? I mean have you ever seen Liger? His costume makes him look like a freaking Avenger. That's seriously the most misinformed statement I've seen in a very long time lurking around here. Kids, kids who aren't even wrestling fans would pickup a Liger figure while browsing through the toy section! most unsuitable-for-Jakks-figures Which body would they give him? The Rob Terry, the Rob Terry or the Rob Terry? None of those four guys are even remotely suitable for the Rob Terry bodies that Jakks use, and Jakks wouldn't make new molds for them. If you're desperate for a Jushin Liger head on a Rob Terry body, then by all means, petition Jakks to make one. Clearly, you missed my point by a mile -- but the point you mistakenly thought I was making is also true, now that you bring it up. Nobody in the US has a clue who Jushin Liger is, unless they happened to be religiously watching WCW in 1992 or TNA PPVs recently. Jakks couldn't sell a toy line with Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy and Sting. If you really think that Jushin Liger would've been the guy to turn those fortunes around, then I really don't know how to help you. Shirted torso and kickpads? Throw the Liger head on there and all done? If they're keeping the RA bodies (which their Legends line has done) I could see a problem, what with the lack of shirted torso releases. And I'll be damned if I can't remember, but maybe someone here knows - Did Jakks ever make kick-pads in the RA style? Also, it's a freaking Legends line. They released an Akeem. Did you know that? Akeem, The African Dream got a figure. Sure, Jakks got a twofer by signing him, but still, they released an Akeem. In 2008. I'm pretty-pretty-prettay confident in my assumption that whoever thought releasing a "Handsome" Jimmy Valiant was a good idea wouldn't mind signing off on a Jushin Thunder Liger. By the way, this is awesome news, and why it isn't on the front page baffles me. I know there's not a lot of sticky-ed posts on the boards, but this should be one... The news part of it anyways. EDIT Bation Booger! The (my love for you is like a rock!) Berzerker! Ron Bass!

Ssssssssssssssssssssssssso I'm the only one that's going to point out how ridiculously bad that picture is?
It's crazy to think about, but you all know it's been 10 years that The 'E has been putting out Bret figures?

Hello all - I have been a collector of wrestling items for the better part of 20 years and a life long fan of professional wrestling. After many years of collecting and having my toys on display I have decided to move on to other interests and will be selling all my figures. I wanted to post some pictures of my collection before it goes up for sale. In the next few days/weeks I will be posting all of my items on the classifieds so please make sure to visit if you are interested in any. Please see the pictures below for some of the Jakks items I have and check out my two youtube videos that shows all of my figures. It has been a great journey and I hope everyone enjoys viewing my collection! Ya know, sometimes I look at all of my figures and think "Why didn't I collect Marvel Legends? I could've had a BAF Apocalypse damn it!" but I never ever think about selling any of 'em. Are you putting it on ebay or some other auction site? What's the least amount you would take for the lot? Are you selling them in a lot? Have you thought about putting them in storage? Did you get all of the 'graphs in person? Is the collecting fever officially dead for you, or has it moved on to something else?I'm not trying to talk you out of it or anything, lol, but I mean, if you posted it on here then you're obviously not trying to hide anything. What "other interests" are you talking about? EDIT Oh my Ray Kurzweil, I just watched 3 minutes of the first video and I DEMAND to know why you're doing this! Is it a girl? Is it a boy? Did you have kids? You have Luchas! You have Mutas! You have a glass case of plastic perfection and you yearn to leave them all, WHY, WHY I SAY WHY are you throwing all of it away?!

Jushin Liger, Young Bucks, and Prince Devitt is all I want They're pretty much four of the most unsuitable-for-Jakks-figures guys in the world, too. When it comes to actual late-night talk shows, Chelsea Handler every day of the week. But the past few months I've found myself switching off the TV and going to sleep listening to Smodcasts by Kevin Smith. I actually like falling asleep to Tell 'Em Steve Dave. I find Bryan Johnson's voice soothing lol. I do occasionally crack up right before I fall asleep, but it's always worth it. You just do the SModcast? Or do you listen to many of the other quality SModcast Podcasts on the SModcast Network?
