I wasn't correcting your grammar, just pointing out that it wasn't apparent because no wrestling news site reported on it?

lol, what? Apparent how? And confirmed to who? There's no doubt he's there to do something with Austin, but... lol apparently? Wouldn't it be on Dave's site or on one of the 3 thousand sites that steal his news? Hell, wouldn't this be something that TMZ would report on if it were "apparent"? The key word I used was apparently. No need to be a douche. Yeah, if it were apparent that Punk was in Gambit country it would've been reported on by, well, everyone. Soooooooooooooo... Y'know, it's obviously not apparent at all.

I don't know how to put this without sounding confrontational, so I would just like to say that the following isn't meant to do anything other than get a few key people thinking and answer a pretty good question...
Why in the f*ck is the fix up thread in the Mattel section? Firstly, the idea of a "fix up" thread is redundant and confusing. I've spent the last few hours browsing through the fix up thread and it's ridiculous how many projects posted there belong on the custom board.
Whoever makes these decisions should take 30 minutes and look through that fix up thread. There's a lot of good work being buried there.
For example, on the custom board right now there's a nice little Seth Rollins paint job/hair piece swith that's listed under the thread "Seth Rollins custom". It has it's own thread and the creator has answered questions on it, got praise, ect. Not only that, but in a few years the thread will still be archived and easy to find. At the same time, while going through the fix up thread on the....Jesus, the Mattel figure board, hidden on some page I don't remember there is an excellent Dr Death Steve Williams cust- oops, "fix up". There's a head swap. There's what appears to be a little sculpty work. There's a very detailed paint job. It (and many, many, many others) deserve it's own thread. At the very least, it deserves to be on the Custom board.
I understand that it would be easy to answer my criticisms with "well they can post it on the custom board if they want", but that's ludicrous.
I understand why the fix up thread exists. I don't agree with it's existence, but I understand why people would think there needs to be a distinction made between custom and fix up. What I don't understand is why the thread is on the Mattel board.
Please, whoever makes these calls, please put good thought into moving that thread to the customs board.

Yeah, getting an RA sting was the only TNA/Jakks figure I picked up.

I don't think anything ever came to production after they announced the license You're pretty much right. They threw the NJPW logo on the Hogan and Angle Legends of the Ring cards, but I think that's about it.

I picked up a Hasbro Samu at a place in the mall in the winter of 2002 right after I got my license. I had seen him at the toy store at the mall a hundred times but decided to pick him up that day.

Apparently multiple people with security jobs in NOLA have confirmed that Punk is in town. Who knows whether or not it's true or if they're just trying to spread rumors. lol, what? Apparent how? And confirmed to who? There's no doubt he's there to do something with Austin, but... lol apparently? Wouldn't it be on Dave's site or on one of the 3 thousand sites that steal his news? Well, 2002 actually but who goes around pointing out little inaccuracies like that anyways? Granted I could make a ton of excuses as to why I made that typo, I'm not gonna. I didn't check to make sure I had two 2s in my post before I posed. The point still stands that they would have never been made anyway. As for your question, I guess smarmy people on message boards who are missing something from their personal life so they troll around on internet message boards to pacify their obvious lack of self esteem by showing everyone how wrong they are do. That's exactly what I was thinking!

The chance of getting New Japan figures from Jakks. RA Kenta Kobashi and Muta would've been great ...Kobashi was never a member of the New Japan roster and Muta hasn't been contracted to New Japan since 2000. You would have never gotten them anyway. Well, 2002 actually but who goes around pointing out little inaccuracies like that anyways?

Which 31 inchers are they making? If you're talking about that Cena coming out, that's from Wicked Cool. And yeah, just because Jakks has steered away from the MMA/Wrestling figure game doesn't mean their dead. I'm not going to look up the specifics but I'm pretty sure that they were doing just fine before they got the WWF license in '96. I saw those 31 inch figs in TRU. They had StarWars figs, Batman, and wwe. I cant remember which it was but one of those is made by Jakks. And they all look the same to me so im willing to bet Jakks has some kind of influence on wicked cool. Nah, Jakks has nothing to do with the WWE license anymore.

Why the name calling? Did you not understand the Darabont joke?
I like how you still didn't point out any examples of the "damage". You also didn't say in your first post that thought they were ok. You just said that people hold them in high regard.
X3 might be the most disappointing film of all time. To me it surely is. But the Singer controlled movies are fine. The fact that he's going to use a common X-Men troupe (time travel) to retcon things and set up a way to "reboot" the universe without rebooting is the most Marvel thing any Marvel property film has ever done. Will it work? Will it be completely clean? Who knows. But at least if we see someone else playing Cykes it'll be explained that its a younger Scott. Also, where in the world is this Age of Apocalypse talk coming from? The film is named X-Men: Apocalypse. From the sound of things, it seems like it'll be using some beats from his origin mini and be set in the 80s. I've not read one article/interview where the "Age of Apocalypse" story is mentioned as any type of source material.
I've still never seen anyone write or say anything about why DD sucked. The Director's Cut especially added depth to Matt's character that made the film awesome.
Again, though, why the name calling dude?

I'd be all for Craig Ferguson taking over. Otherwise...meh. Dave was always very hit and miss for me and more often than not he was a miss. Ugh... I actually thought that his former underling, Drew Carey might be in line before Fergs. Putting a woman in that position wouldn't be a horrible idea. Handler's too... I dunno, slutty to be taken seriously. They could go the NBC route and just lazily throw an SNL person up there, but thank Kurzweil that Tina Fey probably has an iron clad NBC developmental deal. Hmmmm I dunno what women I'd put on my short list for the job, but now that I've typed it I think it seems like a plausible, ratings grabbing idea.

Good riddance to that selfish, egotistical, unfunny arrogant prick. But that's his gimmick! And while he might be all of those things (unfunny is relative) he's never tired to hide anything or lie. I don't wanna get into a whole Conan/Leno deal here, but Letterman's comments on the whole ordeal were the most insightful, well though out, eloquent commentary that was out there at the time. Also, he had Beavis and Butt-Head on the show. And if you haven't seen the scene from Beavis and Butt-Head where one of them imagines the two of them as Dave (Butt-Head) and Paul (Beavis) then you're missing out on one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I get a Google alert about REM, which when I see it's for them gets me pumped because I'm a long time fan right? Plus for those of you who don't know, REM broke up a few years ago. So seeing that REM made some news got me excited for a comeback album or whatever...
Then the story talks about how Mike Mills, former REM bassist broke the news that David Letterman's retiring in 2015.
Now I've always been a Conan guy, but Dave's always been my second favorite late night guy. He's always came across as legitimate to me. Plus, all of the Bill Murray appearances are must watches for me, there's not way that Bill won't be his final guest, NO WAY.

I'm talking about Jakks and they're awful distribution and company as a whole. I wouldnt say Jakks is dead. Jakks is making those 31 inch figures. Jakks has the toy trains. And Jakks just got the rights to make Chavo del Ocho toys. Which 31 inchers are they making? If you're talking about that Cena coming out, that's from Wicked Cool. And yeah, just because Jakks has steered away from the MMA/Wrestling figure game doesn't mean their dead. I think the first two X-Men movies were fantastic, trendsetting, and hold up fairly well (except for the early-00s special effects, which don't look good in any movie from 15 years ago). And I think Singer is the perfect person for the franchise... I hope he makes a couple more after this one. On a somewhat-related note, I also think that Superman Returns has been the best live-action Superman movie so far....I will always hate Superman and everything to do with him. Oh, good lord! Please tell me you're reading the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic. Now, I don't hate 'Supes, but I do, hrrmmm-OKAY I f*(king hate him! But that's the beauty of this story. It makes you want to hate him. It makes you love to hate him. It takes everything you hate about him now, turn it 360 degrees, and then you hate him even more. When it comes to the X-Men has anyone here read the script that the Se7en guy wrote? I thought the first X-Men flick was good (X2 was GREAT) but if they would've used the original script it would've been sooooo much better. There's actually a couple of beats that make it through to the Singer/Hayter/whomever else version. It's out there, free and legal for anyone who wants to check it out.

Ahh, well you were referring to an American company that only monopolized America, so the -ized version would be appropriate in that instance.

Jakks Legends line use the RA bodies.... Here's an old WIP pic of a Liger I did years ago. Note the shirted torso. Yeah, you really missed the point of my post. I like the paintwork on there so far, but those parts are all wrong for Liger -- Jakks never made any RA parts apart from maybe the Delaney/Kaufman figures that are remotely accurate physique-wise for Jushin Liger (or the Young Bucks, or Devitt). That's what I was talking about when I mentioned that the four guys in the OP are very unsuited to Jakks figures. Good lord. Jakks used like 5 bodies for everyone on the roster. They weren't all too concerned with getting the perfect body. And, if you would've read the whole thread you would've seen a late Jakks WWE body that would've been perfect. Liger is a stout little guy, not a bean pole. And for the record lol, that was the only shirted torso around when I made the Liger. That said Rey Jr body wouldn't been PERFECT for Liger. I actually finished the job with an all read paint job, then got bored with it and made a compound red/blue version that's in my storage shed. Once I get moved I'll dig him up and post some pictures.

I say good luck to WWE thinking it can lock out other promotions. It won't happen. They've done it before with PPV providers and arenas. I'm not saying it's right, but they have succeeded in the past doing these kind of things. And ta think, I was going to make a "WWE Monopolise!" remark pointing out your (thanks!) many spelling errors. ? I'm not sure if you're under the impression that "monopolise" is a real word. You can PM me if you want, I don't want to derail the thread. You let that can of worms out pretty early in the thread already! lol... monopolise is to you're as monopolize is to your If I was privy to some sort of Colt Cabana video pointing out common spelling errors I'd share it, but I'm not....privy to such things.

Once again, ignorance rears it's ugly head in your post. I didn't say that Do Fixer/Blood Generation was my favorite match of 2006. I said that it was the 2006 MOTY. As in the most prestigious Pro Wrestling periodical and it's readers named it MOTY 2006. A periodical that voted John Cena into their HoF, which shows that it's not "counter culture" at all. lol, I like how you said "or The 'E" to certain kinds of fans" like you were getting one over on me or something. That really make me laugh out loud... Once again, not being an @ss, just pointing out that you post in a way that's confrontational. But you're ignorance on what your posting combined with the confrontational manner of your posts isn't a good mix IMO. Not being confrontational or anything, but calling someone "ignorant" or "uninformed" because they don't like the small-time wrestling that you like is kinda being an "@ss." Plus, not being confrontational but calling someone ignorant when your posts are ignorant of the language they're posted in isn't a good mix either IMHO. I'm not trying to start a fight or insult you, just helping you out. With assistance from CM Punk (who was in MOTY 2011 as voted by the readers of the most prestigious Pro Wrestling periodical). lol! And ta think, I was going to make a "WWE Monopolise!" remark pointing out your (thanks!) many spelling errors. Ignorance is the absence of knowledge. It's not a put down man. Calling someone stupid is being confrontational, calling someone ignorant isn't. BTW, I shot ya a PM. I think I could steer ya a couple of places that could really help you out. You've obviously posted here a lot and are a big fan, and if sending you a couple of links to become better educated could stop your reign of trolling the board is all it takes, I'd be happy to bite the bullet and help you out.
