If they're gonna go the Joe/HHH route I'd want HHH to run Joe ragged and sic him on a bunch of the faces and Joe gets tired of being treated like a dog and Hunter can just tell him that's all he will ever be is someone's dog and boom, WM match

If these are to be as close to Hasbros as possible, we can't choose looks over features. Someone here said that me didn't want jumpers in this line but by god I want Sting and Balor to be jumpers cause I want them to do the Stinger Splash and Coup De Grâce, respectively.

I would have preferred they use the original Sheamus torso (B7 one aka ADR torso). Really dislike that basic Austin torso.

I don't get the logic here. You want Mattel to make guys that Hasbro ALREADY made? Some of you are missing the point of these. We are getting "Hasbro-fied" versions of current guys to complement the old Hasbros that some of us may or may not have. Yes, Bill is throwing us old School guys a bone including Taker and Warrior but I'm all for guys that Hasbro never or couldn't make. It's easy, I didn't collect toys in the hasbro era. Now that I do, If Mattel made this style figure with wrestlers I actually watched and am a fan of I'd probably buy them. I get that they are making current guys to market to kids and also to compliment the collections of hasbro collectors. Then why not buy the original Hasbros? They are studier (higher quality plastic and can take a beating) and you can get them for reasonable prices when they are loose. Especially at shows and flea markets.

make hogan, macho, lod, big boss man, Andre, m$m and guys from these eras and I'll bite, same as elites and basics. No interest in any current figures. I don't get the logic here. That cutter was the dumbest looking thing Cena has done in this match.

I personally dread all the lines aimed towards kids. I feel as if they could use that budget to make a new line (if Mattel HAS to come up with new lines) with the same style as Elites & Basics. Which would attract both kids & adult collectors. The only line aimed towards kids that I enjoyed & thought had A LOT of potential was the Create-A-Superstar figures (But of course they screwed that up almost completely. But Tough Talkers is in the same style of basics (a tad bigger and a bit less articulation but blame that on the electronics). And we already have lines that attract kids and adult collectors, the Elite and basic line. And I do agree with you about the CaS line.

I don't know why some members still think that the kid's line have ANYTHING to do with the budget of basics or elites. They have their OWN budget and doing anything with it will not go towards the Main line. That being said (& to add to the actual topic), I like the tough talker line and managers would be cool but ONLY if the actual manager does his own voice work for the figs. And that already eliminates a bit of them. I think what most people dont understand when people complain about budgets is that INSTEAD of creating a whole new line with a budget, why not take that money and use it to make a bigger or better budget for the main lines. Mattel has to know going into these new lines that they are only going to last up to 4 or 5 series (most never get past 2 or 3). So why waste all that money on retooling and all the others costs going into a new sub line when it could go towards the ones that are actually selling and successful. Basics and elites are in the series 40s and 60s. what other subset as gone that far? the numbers dont lie. Mattel has to make lines aimed at kids, regardless if basics and elites are a success. They have to reach out to certain demographics. Almost every toy company does it. Marvel legends is a great line but it still has its Marvel Mashers and Playskool lines. If they were to cancel their kiddie lines, it doesn't mean they're going to pour more money into Marvel Legends, it's just gonna go to making NEW kiddie lines. Or that money goes nowhere.

This thread needs a pic of Naked Mark Henry. WWE should have booked him in a Triple Threat Diaper Match with him, Big Show and Akebono.

Wanted to make sure no one brought this point up before I made it but I hope the OP kept in mind that Bill is VERY limited in what he can release in th HoF line. They have to, you know, be in the hall of fame. I dont mind the selections but I understand the point you are making but what else could they have done? Give us ANOTHER big name guy or two in a two pack? I think Bill is just taking advantage (in a goodway of course) of making sure thatwe get a different array of characters when he can put them in the line. Yes, the 4 pack line is dead but what other 4 packs could he have done? Bill at least got us the Horsemen all grouped in a pack(which I'm sure autograph collectors really appreciate) and managed to squeeze out Heenan and Studd. The HOF is targeted to collectors, you can't fault the line for its small group of contenders.

Found another Magnum at the Walmart near my job and picked it up. It makes 3 Magnums that I have now. It seems like overkill but I do remember posting a few years ago that if this ever saw release, I'd buy every one that I come across as a thank you to Bill.

Hakushi and Ahmed Johnson are my biggest wants. Surprised Kwang wasn't on that list. Ahmed Johnson is coming. He's gonna be in that new platinum series, he said so himself.
