I just seen this event just then as we dont get it shown in Australia til today, and i must say i really enjoyed this. I was a bit sad about Brock winning because i like Randy but should be interesting too see how he goes.

Well, in all fairness, seeing as he won and beat one of the greatest fighters of all-time for a major title, I'd say he deserved it. Unlike some other people named Kimbo who get paid $500,000 for a  ing 14 second LOSS!! WTF is that all about?? |

Lesnar is going to end up getting WAY more than $450,000. Lesnar is a piece of garbage and an arrogant ass. I hope he never comes back and I know he will lose the title in his next match. As much as I wanted Randy to retain, it was a great fight and I'm glad it went to a great up and comer like Brock.
My favorite fight was probably Florian vs Stevenson.
Oh, and Hazelett's beard is the greatest thing ever.

Yeah, he called Randy Couture old... but it's the truth. Couture is way past his prime as a fighter and Brock was just pointing it out. |

how anyone can say Randy is past his prime is unbelievable to me. Randy can still beat the majority of the HW roster in the UFC. Brock is just too damn big, strong, and fast for him.
I honestly don't see any UFC HW posing a threat to Brock..maybe Gonzaga. Nog will have the best chance but I think even he will be TKO'd by Lesnar.

I think I've said this, like, a million times: Brock isn't cocky, he's just confident.
The thing that rubs people the wrong way is that you can sit there and throw all this craphis way about him being terrible and a joke and a circus act and just trounce the guy verbally...and he'll just smile, shrug, and say "Yeah, you're entitled to your opinion."
When it comes to fans not liking him, virtually nothing can be said that pisses him off, and I think that type of thing just gets fans even angrier.
That said, Brock's been nothing if not incredibly humble in this last fight. He calls Couture old, something everyone else is saying anyway, and he immediately gets taken to town for it. This despite the fact that almost every pre-fight interview (and I should know, I watch these things compulsively ever since I finally got broadband) featured him praising Couture as a legend and saying how grateful he is for the opportunity.
I mean, the man was honest enough to admit that he was nervous about this fight until the second the bell rang. He said it plainly in the post-fight press conference. This guy didn't take Couture lightly one damn bit.
As I've said before, my level of fandom of Brock barely approaches say Fedor or Anderson, but I really hate that there's all this hypocrisy floating around him.

The thing that hurts Brock Lesnar the most with MMA "traditionalists" (and uneducated MMA fans) is that he came in around the same time Kimbo Slice did.
... I'm pretty sure Lesnar has proved himself to be a much better fighter, with much more upside, than Kimbo Slice.

Obviously he's a better fighter. I think a lot of the heat on Lesnar is from his past pro-wrestling career.

The most hilarious thing of the UFC 91 post-fight press conference, though, would be Dana defending Brock as being lightyears ahead of Kimbo and then Brock asking "Who's that guy? I don't know who that guy is."
It's funny because, if you watch him, he literally takes about ten seconds to go through his head and try to think about who Kimbo Slice is. It was a pretty hilarious moment.
