Hey, what's up guys?
Well, with less than a week away, I can not believe that nobody has made an official UFC #92 thread as of yet. Since nobody has, I took it upon myself to make one.
Here is the complete card from top to bottom and man oh man, is it stacked.
UFC Light-Heavyweight Title Fight Forrest Griffin defending against "Sugar" Rashad Evans
UFC Interim-Heavyweight Title Fight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir
Light-Heavyweight Fight For the 3rd Time Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva vs. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
Heavyweight Fight Cheick Kongo vs. Mustafa Al-Turk
Middleweight Fight C.B. Dollaway vs. Mike Massenzio
Preliminary Fights Yushin Okami vs. "The Boogeyman" Dean Lister
Reese Andy vs. Matt "The Hammer" Hamill
Brad Blackburn vs. Ryo Chonan
Antoni Hardonk vs. Mike Wessel
Patrick Barry vs. Dan Evensen
Overall, I think it's a tremendous card and all of the fights will be great. A great card to close out 2008. I can't friggin' wait!!

My picks on the main card are Nogueira, Forrest, Wanderlei, Kongo, and CB. Should be a great show. I'm looking forward to Silva/Rampage the most. That's got FOTYC written all over it.

WAR RAMPAGE. Oh god if he could beat him just once...I'd be sooo happy. And Im still quite puzzled as to why Yushin Okami is on the prelims.

I just saw the countdown show...
man...Rampage vs. Wanderlei could be the main event they really got me hyped of for the fight. More than I was before watching the countdown show. With Wandy saying he was going to put his forearm tattoo on Quintons forehead and Rampage being more serious than I have ever seen him in an interview saying "No man can beat me...I don't care what judges say, no man can beat me"
I am pulling for Rampage I want him to win this and completely shatter Danas dream of putting Wandy in the main event for the title. I wouldn't mind Wanderlei winning though..the guys passion for the business is insane.
I can't wait for this PPV..I can't believe it is only monday.. =/

wow...nobody giving Rampage some love... That's because Wanderlei obliterated him twice before. He destroyed Rampage both times and I don't see any reason why he can't do it a 3rd time. If Wanderlei comes out "guns blazing" like he did against Jardine, then Rampage is in serious trouble. It'll be a short night for Rampage then.

I think the deletion of Pride rules and the octagon will play a huge part in Rampage's favor.

Unless they suddenly decide to ban stand-up fighting, Rampage is ed.

Wandi does not look as good as he sued too. Rampage has looked better then he ever has. This fight has potential to be a GREAT fight and I dont think you can count out either man. Im psyched for this!

You can't count Rampage out, but I question one thing. Where Rampage's head is at.
He lost his belt in his last fight, then went on a wierd spree where he was dehydrated and caused chaos. Then his first fight back he has to face a guy he can't look in the face(according to Silva) and who has brutally knocked him out twice before. Those are huge mental hurdles to overcome before a fight. Rampage said last night that he doesn't feel that anyone can beat him, but then said he's got to fight a guy who has beat him twice, and he can't even watch the 2nd fight. To me, Rampage seemed a little funny to me saying that stuff. He wasn't his normal comedic self.
He does have the tools to beat Silva, but where his head is is questionable. In my opinion, he's already lost. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I still believe no matter what, Wanderlei will beat Rampage.

I know I am hopeful in wanting Rampage to win. I think he has the tools to beat Wanderlei this time. He has better standup than he did when the two fought the first 2 times.
The first time they met Rampage had the task of having to run through Chuck Liddell at PRIDE Final Conflict 2003. He completely dominated Liddell but it was a fight that surely had to have taken its toll on him. Then later on that night he would face Wanderlei after Wandy beat Hidehiko Yoshida in a unanimous decision. This I believe played a major role in Quinton losing the first time around in the first round.
The second time around Jackson was more impressive, even knocking Wanderlei down with a hook. But he calls B.S. saying that the fight shouldn't have been stoodup. Either way the same result as the first one. Fight ends with knees in the clinch.
If you think Rampage has not been working on his defense of those than you are insane. The guy has never been knocked out by a punch so Wanderlei better be throwing those knees and kicks like he used to. I think it will be a fight that is very close...a lot of you seem to be already celebrating Wanderlei's guaranteed win and hoping he gets a title shot. I am a huge fan of both guys but I gotta go with the underdog on this one.

damn. Forrest is huge for a LHW. I never realized how big he is..
The weigh-ins are going to be interesting when Rampage and Wanderlei have to stare each other down...
