Mr. Perfect. I always thought he should have done a gimmick where he set up a tournament for the IC title while still having it saying he would face the Warrior at Royal Rumble for the Heavyweight belt and had no doubts he would win so he was going to put the IC title up for grabs. Easy way to get a new IC champ and make Perfect not take a loss. Perfect in turn gets the match at Royal Rumble instead of Slaughter and Royal Rumble unfolds like it did. Savage ceptor perfect plex new champion. Sets up Warrior Savage fued and allows Hogan Perfect Wrestlemania. Mr. Perfect could have made Hogan look like a god in that match, and at least giving us a few month title run for Mr. P instead of Sgt. everything you said there makes amazing sense to a wrestling fan, problem being with the cold war situation going on, wwf tried to capitalize with the turn coat thing, which did work in fairness, but slaughter did not deserve the title at that point of his career... and like you mentioned quite rightly, perfect did. I was a History major so this irks me.....If you were gonna compare the "cold war" to wrestling terms, it would be Hogan vs Volkoff. Hogan vs Slaughter was Desert Storm

Owen Hart in my opinion, Mr. Perfect gets a very close second place vote.

Piper, of course. Aside from him, Perfect's the only guy that comes to mind that I think had all the tools to be a world champion. Maybe Rude, too, but I never saw enough of his work. I don't think Owen, Steamboat or Bulldog had the whole package that a world champ would need.

Razor Ramon and Owen Hart would have been good World Champions if Razor hadn't gone to WCW and Owen hadn't passed.

Mr Perfect...BUT I would have loved to see Rick Rude as champ, by beating the Warrior...this was right around the time Vince was starting to look at the smaller guys as champ material ie: Macho Man, Flair, HBK types, this would have been the true beginning
