As I've said before, opinions are opinions. You don't have to like them, but everyone has them, so you just have to deal with them. But once you start bashing people for their opinions and making it way to personal, that's whenever trouble starts. Please, do not turn this into another flame war. __ Anyways...question. With Arizona picking up Wells in the draft, is this the end of the road for James in Arizona? Or more so, his career?

Edge is pretty much gone from Arizona, yeah.

Kliquid, what's your opinion on the Saints D currently, and if it progressed any after the draft.

I think you will see James released by the end of the week. I think he can still contribute to a team. But if James isnt going to realize he is not a 30 carry back, then he needs to just retire.

I think it would be nice if Edge got released, for the Colts to pick him up. He could finish his career there and it would provide vetern leadership. Plus if Addai gets injured, would you rather have a rookie, a second year player, or Edgerin James?
edit- Don't get me wrong though, I like Chad Simpson. I hope he does well.

Kliquid, what's your opinion on the Saints D currently, and if it progressed any after the draft. The Saints defense definitely got better, but I still feel like they are pretty untalented on defense in general. I'd expect more turnovers this year, though, so that could be very beneficial for the Saints, who've probably got the most lethal offense in the league.

Their Run D is still has a good bit of holes in it. I think the Saints gave up the most big plays last year. mainly due to their poor secondary, and that's what they went and addressed, picking Jenkins, Greer and Darren Sharper.

I hope that Peppers plays this year, and Carolina goes deep into the playoffs, it might convince him to stay and then we would have a line of him, Brown, Kemoatu, and in 2-3 years Irvin.

How does everyone view the Giant's offseason acquisitions including the draft?
Honestly, they've made some good moves. They didn't reel in the huge player (lolskins) but they added great depth. I do feel they overpaid Canty a bit, but I'm sure it'll work out.

For a team that is basically picking at the bottom of every round, they got big bang for their bucks. Also, Ian Johnson signed as a FA to the Vikes and Quan Cosby signed as a FA as well, but I cant remember who signed him.

blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/27/cardinals-expected-to-release-rb-james/That answers your question KOD. Honestly, this is going to be either a good decision or a bad decision. No in-between. I would of kept James one more year so Wells could get a year of experience, and could also get some tips from James on improvement. Time will tell.

I like him. He has great potential. He also has great speed off of the line, so I think he is a pretty decent pick.

what does everyone think of Larry English? He's kind of a similar player to Shaun Philips, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He's a very good pass rusher and could be a starter immediately if Merriman's rehab gets pushed back.

I was just watching some Hakeem Nicks highlights. God damn, the kid has hands. He's going to be a great fit for The Giants, and especially Eli.
His YAC impress me the most.

You asked the same exact question in the draft thread didn't get any response, so I'll try again But the Giants drafted 2 receivers. My question is why? Hakeem Nicks will be good but may not be as productive as Burress was because I think Burress is a tad faster. Add in the fact that the Giants are a predominant run team and have Smith (who I feel will be Manning's #1 target). Anyways the NFC South and NFC East will be a dogfight in their games and to win the divisions. I can see Carolina AND N.Y. both not making the playoffs due to the schedules. They are that tough this year.

Giants lost Burress and Toomer and drafted 2 receivers...makes sense to me
