I personally can't wait. One of the best cards imo in a long time. At least from the potential of being really exciting fights...not necessarily because it has a lot of big names or anything besides BJ Penn.
I still don't know how anyone can be a fan of Frank Mir. I swear to GOD I can't stand the guy. Just how arrogant he comes off. Usually when you get manhandled you are humbled a bit (example Michael Bisping)....but he continues to talk his sh**. I seriously hope Kongo beats the sh** out of him. I know if it goes to the ground it is over but I am hoping Kongo is able to keep this on the feet and just punish Frank Mir...the guy needs to learn to shutup.
seeing BJ's training routine was insane. Almost made me feel like changing who I pick to win the main event but I still believe in Diego. Because if Diego can't do it there is literally nobody in the LW division in the UFC who could do it..

That's crazy talk, my friend. Gray Maynard and Frankie Edgar are both way more likely to get a win over Penn than Sanchez. Let's face it, Sanchez has excelled generally against less-than-stellar opposition and been shut down by the elite. He's a good fighter, but he is far beyond having what it takes to beat BJ Penn.

Frank Mir weighed in at 264½ at the weigh ins. He had to cut to make this weight.

That was the weirdest staredown at a weigh in ever, only because Kongo didn't even face him. Hope Kongo gets the KO can't stand Mir.

There's no doubt putting on that much extra weight will slow him down, big time. I think Kongo will finish Mir off either late in the first or mid-way through the second round.

Man, if Diego comes out guns-blazing like he did against Clay Guida, it could be a short night for B.J. Penn. I just don't know if B.J. can handle an onslaught like that. One thing is for sure though, it won't be long until we find out...

^ What's so funny?? Do you think B.J. can handle the flurry of punches Diego could throw his way?? I have my doubts. All it takes is one clean one and you are taking a nap inside the Octagon.
All I was saying was that if Diego comes out like a friggin' freight-train like he did against Clay Guida, it very well could be a short night for "The Prodigy".
I don't believe B.J. can stand and bang with Diego. He's got to get this fight to the mat and then he'll be FAR better off there than he would standing with Diego. If it stays standing, then I'm going with Diego, but if goes to the ground, I'll give the advantage to B.J. there due to his incredible experience.
It's going to be one hell of a fight for sure. I'd love to see Diego walk out as the new champ.

I'd love to see Diego walk out as the new champ. You do realize BJ Penn has NEVER been knocked down, right? This, fighting against better strikers than Diego Sanchez. BJ Penn has become one of the best strikers/counter strikers in MMA over the past few years. Look what he did to Sean Sherk. To be honest, Penn's striking is better than Diego's. Every facet of Penn's game...is better than Diego's. BJ Penn by RNC in round 3. Agree on the Diego part...disagree with the Maynard/Edgar part. Frankie Edgar can't finish fights at 155. At least, not against any of the top echelon of fighters. I always agreed with people that said Edgar should move to 145. That way, when he pulls, someone will actually come with him, rather than smother him. (IE: Maynard) Gray Maynard's biggest strength...is his strength. But this is BJ Penn. He's fought GSP, he's fought Matt Hughes...he knows how to counter strength. I've said it before, I'll say it again. There is no LW that can beat BJ Penn.

Diego only has a punchers chance. In other words he has to get lucky.

After that first round it was pretty obvious that BJ was going to win.

I'll keep waiting to "see" what it is you want me to "see." I really hope you don't bet on MMA, since you obviously know NOTHING about it at all. Every event, you come into a thread, you rant, rave and curse, telling everyone to "just wait" while predicting nearly every fight completely wrong. I'll say it ONCE again. BJ Penn is the best LW on the PLANET. There is not 1 LW that can beat him. Not Aoki, not JZ, not Hellboy, not Melendez, not Alvarez...no one.
