It's gonna be so great to see Mr. Old School once again eat his ing words. Kongo got owned ON THE FEET, and put to SLEEP and Sanchez got SCHOOLED and made a fool of. I love it.

I just watched the event and I have to agree word for word with Neal Caffrey. That was an absolute exhibition put on by Penn. He outclassed Sanchez in every phase.

Oh really? Well, we'll just see about that in a few hours time. Yes...really. I'll keep waiting to "see" what it is you want me to "see." I really hope you don't bet on MMA, since you obviously know NOTHING about it at all. Every event, you come into a thread, you rant, rave and curse, telling everyone to "just wait" while predicting nearly every fight completely wrong. I'll say it ONCE again. BJ Penn is the best LW on the PLANET. There is not 1 LW that can beat him. Not Aoki, not JZ, not Hellboy, not Melendez, not Alvarez...no one. He wooped Sanchez. But I still think he needs to fight Aoki, or Kawajiri if he beats him. But yea he is the #1 lightweight in the UFC. Not world. We will never know who the best is because of ufc slave contracts. Anyway that was a brutal win. I really didn't think he would beat him that bad.

He actually is one of my favorite lightweights, but saying he's best in the world is just plain nuthuggery. But yea he could be, I'm just saying I would like him to fight Aoki, so the arguing of who would win would stop.

^^ Yes I would pick Penn to win, but I bet it would be close since Aoki might be able to take him down. He's the Best in the UFC yes. My point being people saying the world is stupid, because know one knows what would happen. And that's what I'm talking about I don't want to get into a who would win discussion. It's pointless.

And I'm not just talking about Aoki there's a-lot of top competion outside of UFC. The Lightweight division is just really stacked.

Well, I told you all that B.J. would whoop Diego, didn't I?? LOL...
Seriously though, I really miscalled that one, didn't I?? Oh well. I don't really care. It's not like I had any money riding on the fight or anything. If I did, then I would certainly be pissed for sure, but whatever.
As good as Diego is or was, I may not like to admit it, but B.J. Penn is just FAR, FAR better. He made Diego look like a friggin' rookie tonight. 5 rounds of pure OWNAGE.
No matter who UFC builds up to face B.J. Penn next at Lightweight, they are gonna lose. I know I'm not the only guy that picked Sanchez to win this one either, so don't single me out.
Bottom line, he got owned tonight by a far better, experienced fighter. Congrats to B.J. Penn for successfully defending HIS Lightweight belt.
And Frank Mir, ah big deal. We all knew he had the edge against Kongo. I may not like to admit that either, but it's true and we found that out tonight. He schooled Kongo and it'll be interesting to see who he fights next.
And Florian looked very impressive as well tonight by putting away "The Carpenter". I wonder who he'll fight next as well.
Great card tonight for sure. I really enjoyed it, but was disappointed in Diego's performance. I hope he learns from this loss and comes back strong.

No one can take BJ down, hahaha. Aoki could barely beat Hansen, let alone Penn.

Like I have said before it will take a solid WW to take BJ's LHW belt.

hey Pat,
Has there been any talks in the Koscheck camps about moving down to 55? I think he may pose an interesting threat in that divsion if he can cut the weight

No why would he do that if he has to cut to make 170?

No why would he do that if he has to cut to make 170? Most fighters do cut weight. I am not sure how much weight kos cuts, so i was simply asking if he thinks he could make 155. Im just trying to think of possible fighters/scenarios that give BJ problems at 55. Because its getting to the point where the cards he fights on are going to need SOLID co-main events and other fights because hes becoming untouchable.

BJ is obviously going to have problems with bigger guys like GSP. Any TRUE Lightweight up against BJ Penn will lose.
