I like how you guys are saying "NWO was old and it's ridiculous that they are being brought back, again' Yet...watch RAW with DX.... This is true my friend but they make more merchandise revenue then anybody in TNA and in the end, thats what matters most.

I like how you guys are saying "NWO was old and it's ridiculous that they are being brought back, again' Yet...watch RAW with DX.... Why not defend TNA instead of attacking WWE? Is it not possible? Could we not point out that you cited DX vs. Jericho and Big Show as an example of been-there, done-that and you're praising TNA for bringing back everyone that made a name elsewhere, doing the same gimmicks they've been doing for over a decade?

I like how you guys are saying "NWO was old and it's ridiculous that they are being brought back, again' Yet...watch RAW with DX.... HBK and HHH can still wrestle. They can still put on high quality match ups. Hogan could never wrestle. Nash and Hall are just way past their prime.

But DX is Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Two of most polished werstlers in the WWE right now. They can still go and give it 100%. NWO has Hogan, Nash and Hall. (Waltman too?) 3 guys waaaay past their prime and cannot go at 100% anymore.

WWE fans can't even defend WWE when something decent happens. I'm not trying to attack Raw. It's the only argument you guys are coming up with for me to defend.

The only real issue I saw from TNA tonight, as has been done in the past, is their mentioning of WWE. It's obvious that they're desperate for ratings and competition, but you don't need reveal your motive. Hulk Hogan saying that TNA is coming for Vince McMahon and the WWE is only going to serve an in inferiority tomorrow when the ratings come out and WWE destroys TNA. That isn't something you want to start messing with until you're confident that your product and audience is on par with WWE. Agreed, I felt Tenay and Tazz were also over emphasizing TNA was a "better wrestling product" or "real wrestling" in their commentary during the styles/angle march. I thought that was a little overboard, especially when the match spoke for itself. I also thought the commercials were a problem but I understood they wanted to generate as much revenue as possible because it was their first "big" televised event. Hey no one is perfect the first time around.

You think that when Hogan and the "NWO' has any merchandise that people won't buy it at each show? Did you not see the line of Hogan shirts in the crowd?

Let's check a previous post... Compared to Raw..where 2 weeks ago, everyone said it was the worst show they ever watched with 10 minutes worth of matches over a two hour span, let's not forget Midget Court. Someone negatively critiqued TNA's show. Instead of countering those with examples of how those segments built someone's character, you jump into a DX-Hornswoggle comparison. But no, you weren't trying to attack Raw. At the end of the day, aside from the Bret segments, this Raw was pretty much the basic Raw show we get nowadays. It could be 100x better. Nobody's denying that. On TNA's side, they gave us an awesome main event. Aside from that, it followed their usual format of just throwing a lot of things together in an attempt to get a bunch of things over at once, and as result getting none of it over. I'm not going to fault them for throwing a lot of names out tonight, as it was their big show...but they will still be doing this on Thursdays. When so much happens, it tends to run together and take away from the good stuff they put out.

I haven't watched wrestling in a long time, but tonight my friends and I had a party. We put 2 TVs side by side, one with RAW, one with TNA, and whichever show was more interesting, the other would get muted.
So, at 8 o clock, we're expecting to see Hogan. Nope. We get the dumbest looking cage I've ever seen. As Homicide proved, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get out of. I guess they realized that and had to go with a DQ ending. Bullsh*t.
Hogan should have been the opener, but instead he waited until 9. That was a big mistake. They had a whole hour to lead-in, and they wasted it on nothing. Hogan came out right as RAW was about to start, and we muted TNA. I didn't hear any of the Hogan/NWO stuff, because I was too busy watching the moment I waited 12 years to see. The Hart/HBK segment was very classy, and well done, and I don't think anything TNA could have done would have topped it. It was a truly great moment, and one of the best in a long time.
As for everything else, there wasn't a lot else to like. The Angle/Styles match & the DX/Jerishow match were pretty good. Hogan's friends popping up in TNA was kinda neat, but only in a "Hey it's ________, I didn't know he was still alive" kind of way.
The Vince/Bret segment was alright, and it's obvious they are going to lead up to a Street Fight at Wrestlemania, but it didn't have the same "big moment" feel as the previous Hart/HBK segment. It felt, for lack of a better term, fake.
I dunno, it was fun seeing 2 shows at once again, but I just don't see it going anywhere. I'll watch next week again, and maybe more after that, but I doubt it will last. Hopefully both shows can improve and become really good again, but we'll see.

You know, guys, I think there's one thing almost all of us have overlooked tonight, and it's a perfect way for me to leave things for the time being...
Whether you loved Raw tonight, hated it, hated TNA, or loved TNA. No matter who you supported, who you thought delivered and what the outcome was, tonight was a huge night for all of us as wrestling fans. In browsing the board in the last couple of hours, I've come across at least ten users who either rarely watch wrestling, or don't watch at all anymore, who tuned in to one or both shows this evening to see what it was all about. That's big. Who knows how many other people not on this board did the same thing That means both companies are at least doing something right. It may be for one night only, but I think TNA won over some new fans tonight, and WWE regained some old fans. At the end of the day, we should all be happy when the professional wrestling community, as a whole, succeeds, and tonight should be looked at as nothing but a success on that front.

I didn't catch all of tna but from what I saw it wasn't horrible. I still will watch most of the knockout matches and select other matches when I have time but I only really put wwe into my schedule.

TNA just used every wrestler in the world on their show and it was boring. I could watch 3 hours of Bret starring at Shawn Michaels. Greatest line ive ever read on WF Agreed.

All I'm saying is Angle vs. AJ was at least **** 1/2 stars. Best wrestling match of the year so far (not saying much), and if you put it with all the 2009 WWE/TNA matches, it would near the top of the list.

The only thing with that match is that's the main event for Genesis. Dumb move to give it away on free TV even if it was a solid match. Plus, why advertise a Barbed Wire Massacre between Abyss and Rhino and then actually have Samoa Joe take on Abyss? I was looking forward to seeing the BWM.

TNA was okay but I hope they beat WWE. WWE really needs to stop having the same damn matches over and over and over again. gets really boring fast.
