Entrance (not so) Greats HBK

You are basing an entire line of incredible figures off one? Yeah real smart. Go look at the Elite figures. Find a flaw there. Say you do, and I say you're grasping for straws.

I think you are being wayy too harsh. What about the back logo which you completely neglected to mention and how immaculate it looks to that 2nd grade budget job done by jakks on the CS1. Or how about the specially made molded boots rather than the generic ones of CS1. The entrance gear is a huge part of this figure and it does quite a bit in making up for what the figure lacks. The torso isnt that bad, its still ripped. The CS1 scan doesnt look as good as mattels either plus its more modern than classic as well.

You wanna be picky? lets do it, The Jakks Shawn has lace up boots which is inaccurate, He is missing color on his heart tattoo, He is missing knee pads, also the color in the hearts of his tights should be GOLD not yellow'ish green... Stop finding reasons to hate Mattel, dont like it, dont buy it.

Yeah it could make an okay WMXX repaint.

and lol I agree about CS1 Shawn being messed up too.

I just want an accurate WM12 HBK already.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with pretty much everything you said. With the exception of the scan everything else is equal to or in Mattel's favor. Which to me makes Mattel's figure far more accurate than Jakks.

Head Scan - First the only reason Jakks scan is better is because it's about 5 years younger than Mattel's scan. But it's also about 10 years to old for WMXII.

Torsos - Both torso choices work very nicely for HBK and while painted on chest hair would have been a nice touch neither company decided to do that. So to me the torso choices are a wash.

Arms - Even back then HBK was never huge like Jakks arms make him out to be so the Mattel parts work well for him. Maybe I could see using the next size arms (Orton's) on him, but these work fine.

Attire - Jakks figure has a odd greenish tint to the gold in the broken hearts which makes it look inaccurate. Also the material the broken hearts were made of on his pants looked like they were a shiny metallic scaly/textured material. While Jakks tried to make it scaly/textured it comes off looking like a netting on his broken hearts. Mattel went with a metallic paint and although they didn't try and put scales in it the paint itself looks textured. (Although I will say the silver in the broken hearts could have been brighter) Plus Jakks didn't add knee pads or the entrance attire like Mattel did. So to me the advantage goes to Mattel

Lower legs/boots -This has always been my biggest pet peeve with Jakks. I hate when they give wrestlers boots with laces when they didn't wear them. (CSTT1 & CS6 LOD & CS1 & CS6 HBK) No matter how great the figure could have been the wrong boots almost ruin it for me. Mattel's boots are far more accurate. The only thing missing is the manufacture's name "O'Neil" written up the side of the boots. And I can understand why neither Jakks or Mattel added that to their boots. (Jakks just added a white strip to them)

And as an extra we get a base with 30 seconds of his entrance theme. I know at the end of the day it all boils down to everyone's opinions, but to me Mattel's figure is far superior than Jakks.
