Sean's reasons for why Randy Orton is better than Ken Kennedy.
1. Finisher
Orton has a more explosive, and better finisher. He can hit it at almost any time, can reverse several moves into it, and it's a move that can be used in corporation with other items like chairs, ladders, tables. Ken's move, Mic Check, is a more technical finisher to the point where there's more of a set up involved. Because of the set up, it's harder to hit out of no where, and thus isn't as explosive.
As far as it being better, not only does the RKO look more devastating then the Mic Check, but it also looks better based off of A. the height Orton gets from his jump and 2. the way each person lands. Now I'm sure the first thing you'll want to jump to is how "the other wrestler is the one that makes the move look good, not Orton". Fair enough, but the same must be said for Ken.
2. Acting
Ken isn't terrible at acting, unless it's a character that isn't the one he's playing right now. Randy Orton's pushes have taken him from being a loud mouth punk in Evolution, to a revenge-filled loner, to a cocky Legend Killer, to selfish violent coward, to a crazed mastermind. Throughout his career, it's not like Orton has been the same guy, saying the same things for years. During Evolution, when he did talk, it was with more energy and brass balls behind it. During his loner time on Smackdown, it was with confidence and arrogance, but more so with attitude. Once he entered his feud with Cena, which was ruined by Mr. Kennedy might I add, he was allowed to show a crazy, focused side for which we had not seen before. He attacked family members, and started showing us that focused in stare he has now. When he came back from injury, his character once again took another turn, as arrogance turned into assurance, and confidence wasn't even a factor. It became "I'm the best, and here's why". I do what I want, when I want, and no one will stop me.
Ken's character, while very entertaining at times, is no where near as complex as Orton's character say a year and a month ago. As far as entertaining goes, since you want to keep using Kurt Angle as a comparison, I'd like to point back to ECW ONS 06. Not only did Orton hold his own in that match, as well as playing up the heel role, but the Tuesday prior, he cut a great promo on Kurt. It had humor, intensity, and substance. Now am I saying Ken's promos don't have this or haven't had this? No. I'm just saying Orton has done it better.
3. Crowd Reaction
I've seen Mr. Kennedy/Anderson a total of 4 times in the ring. 3 times for the WWE, over a span of 3 years, and once in TNA. 2 times in the WWE, he was a heel. In fact, one of the times I saw him was right between Royal Rumble 07 and WM23. At this point, he had just held his own in a title match against Batista, and was somewhat the biggest heel on Smackdown. Here's the funny thing though. Randy Orton was on the same card, at the same time, and he was a heel too. And I'll tell you what, I'd have to say Orton's reaction muffled out Ken's. Not even close.
Fast forward a year, and no Orton to compare this time around, but still a mixed reaction as people were liking him due to the entrance.
One year later, same thing.
Wither you think it's fair or not to compare their crowd reaction because "Orton was more exposed" is not the point. Point was, Orton has always gotten a better reaction. Doing bad things, doing good things, doing bad things to good people. Punting, RKOing, Talking, Cheating, Winning, Losing. Always more reaction coming for a crowd then I can remember anything Ken had done.
Outside of maybe Ken's GBP from the top of the ladder with Hornswoggle. Whats funny is Orton's RKO to Punk earlier in the match got almost the same reaction.
4. Looks
I'd love to see a FATHEAD Orton right next to a FATHEAD Kennedy. You know why? So I could point out how one of them obviously looks like he is in shape, is very athletic, and takes care of himself to insure his own health.......and how the other one is Kennedy. Seriously, Randy's abs alone put Ken's entire body to shame. Hell, if you want to get all nit picky with these "opinions", need I say more then "Clown Tattoo"? As far as the hair goes, I'm not personally a fan of Skin Head Orton, but I much less of a fan of a full blond goatee. Ken looks fine without facial hair, so heres to hoping he stays with that.
5. Accountability
Is Randy Orton a class citizen? NO. Human Bean? NO Wrestler? Not even that.
But the difference between Orton and Ken is when asked those questions about things in the past or present that might not be flattering or in any way positive, Orton's owned up to his actions. Ken has been under fire for a lot of things, and very rarely seems to take responsibility. Just using his last night on Raw alone, he's given several different accounts of what happened, and seems to add more detail every time he talks about it.
Anger and Maturity Issues: Orton owned up to it on several occasions
Pot Smoking: Orton quit when he had his baby girl
Motorcycle Accident: Orton owed up to how stupid it was in WWE magazine.
Only since his firing has Ken actually owned up to certain things, and not attempted to cast blame on others. However, since we are encompassing all of their careers, this is still a reason for me.
Please feel free to eat all this up and spew out whatever you'd like in "defense." You asked for a list of reasons why that didn't include "he's more over" or any other bland excuse one could come up with. So here you go.
