Oh, I was rooting for Chuck too. I figured Franklin was the better fighter all-around, but I really, REALLY wanted Chuck to win. Oh well.  Jesus Christ look at that lip..... Wow, no kidding. Pretty sad gif too, it looks like he's out of it the whole time and finally realizes he lost at the end of it. Any chance of a gif for the actual KO? I'd like to see the hit that put him out and the supposed late hits. |

Yes, it looks split open pretty bad. Looking back, it's really amazing how large of a crowd reaction Mirko got when he won. Seems to have been the biggest one of the night. Yea, it either went to him or Rory IMO. But i guess Rory is a given with him being the hometown fighter. I don't know, man. Cro Cop's was pretty loud. |

It seems to me that after Liddell fell, Franklin hit the mat with his right hand, then tapped him again before Herb Dean stepped in. Bad angle, though.  UPDATED WITH NEW GIF. |

Interesting scorecard scores on one of the prelims. James Wilks defeated Peter Sabotta by Decision (30-27, 30-28, 30-27). 30-28 interests me because that means one of the judges was actually BRAVE enough to score one of the rounds 10-10.

Ya know, maybe it's due to the lack of sound, but that punch looked real good. Not sure what the hell is considered a "true" KO blow to Old School if that type of hit is viewed as sub-par to him. Their movements, in unison, fueled that punch. Rich swinging towards Chucks face, just as Chuck charged his face in the same direction. No surprise it dropped him, to be honest.
But yea, those last shots are iffy. Both appeared to be glancing blows though, and we've seen FAR worse in regards to late hits. Not everyone can shut the adrenaline off immediately like Shogun. Plus it looked like Rich was wobbled by that elbow right before the KO punch. That could have easily riled up his emotions to the point where he couldn't hold those punches back.

Great fight, too bad Chuck Liddell lost, I thought at first Chuck is looking good to finish the fight.

So I had an awesome night at GM Place, finally got to watch my first UFC card live and it was amaaaaazzzzzziinnnnngggggg. Two loudest pops were for Cro Cop and Rory and wow I was rooting for Iceman but whatever, the fight got soo crazy in the last minute or so. Pretty good fights, I thought that I had wasted my money on tickets but I didn't so many good fights. Was bummed out that Rory lost but the Cro Cop fight was definetly the best of the night. I can't see Iceman coming back after tonight and I hope Cro Cop comes back. I hope UFC comes back to Vancouver so I can watch another card. Also, the neon banners during the main event entrances were soo sick, not sure if anyone saw them if they watched ppv but it was a great show. Really memorable experience for me.

OHHHH BTW, anyone see the dude in the crowd take Ben Rothwell's hat off his head, I cracked up when that happened, kinda shitty though, not something I'd do, especially with security around and it being recorded.
