Old School: I find that sig hilarious because its so ing ignorant and exemplifies a lot of MMA fans today(can be seen on many message boards like Sherdog. Over there you lose 1 fight and you were overrated your whole career). $50 says you don't have the balls to say that to his face. Exactly. When Chuck was on top most people were on his nuts, including you I'm sure. Now he lost a few everyone bashes him to death. He went in there, fought to the best of his abilities and he lost. Simple. How would you like it if you went into the cage, put it all out there, got knocked out, then a bunch of people disrespect you and your legacy?? By the way, Chuck went to the hospital to get his lip tended to and undergo a couple tests. He was out at a club with his gf later that night. He's fine. You made it sound like he was in a coma. I'm paraphrasing but I read something like "the whole fight doesn't matter but the end result". That is one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. Every fight he's lost has been a competitive fight. Its not like he was getting annihilated the entire time. He lost. But that doesn't cancel out the other 4:52 before the punch. The guy is a legend. Shouldn't that earn him some respect? ? I never want to pick fights on here. I hate it. But I wanted to say this because I've wanted to for a loooong time. You seem like a fan who has nothing better to do but bash fighters who could kick your ass on a message board like some internet tough guy. All you do is complain. I've never seen a post of yours that was respectful or happy or positive in any way. I'm probably not the only one here who's thinking it. If I am, great. ------------------------------------ Sorry for the long ass rant to anyone else that actually read that, but I needed to say it. More than likely I will not reply to whatever bs he replies with. I'm done with this.

lol No, you are definitely not the only one thinking it. I'm fairly sure just about everyone else feels the same way about him. Something about him tells me he's "that guy" you run into when watching any sort of competitive sport with a bunch of people. The one who has to chime in and hate whomever the others like, or suddenly break into a rant as to why someone is garbage when nobody asked.

Chuck is a legend, but theres no denying his time has come. I do respect what he has done for the company to help where it is today. He was the face of the UFC for the longest time. Anyways, heres an interview with Dana talking about how he guarantee's Chuck career is over, and how their working on a new contract with Cro Cop
**Edit** I was reading Old School's previous posts. LMAO I cant believe you just put Kimbo and Chuck on the same level. All a fighter has to do to Kimbo is kick him in his Arthritis chicken legs and hes done. You seem like that one guy that has to be the hater at all times.

I haven't seen a Cro Cop axe kick in YEARS. I spilled my beer when that happened tbh. I honestly thought that attending the event would be a waste but it didn't disappoint.

The last time I remember him doing that was to Mark Hunt way back in 05. Glad to see him healthy enough to bust out some vintage kicks. One of them looked like he was trying the HBK Superkick too

Hunt is a tough mother er with probably one of the best chins in all of combat sports. He holds back-to-back wins over Wanderlei and Cro Cop, which is pretty nuts to say the least, seeing how dominating both guys were at the time in PRIDE. He also won the K-1 World GP in 2001 after having bad losing streak. He's tough as hell.

More than likely I will not reply to whatever bs he replies with. I'm done with this. I really dislike discussing MMA over message boards i must admit, because it's so easy for a person to act better by say just wiki'ing the fighter and saying " oh but he lost to..." or "oh but he destroyed..." Sherdog is full of people trying to get petty one ups on each other. That guy is talking BS the only thing that matters is the result. My fav MW Maia went up in so so so many peoples estimations that he actually challenged Anderson Silva and went after him. But he lost on decision does that make him worse ? Chuck was looking nice but Franklin had trained better, i stick to the fact that Rich being a Maths teacher helps him, i do a weekly MMA show here in Ireland on the radio i'm only 17. I was asked to think of some reasons why Rich won. Personally the fact his strikes are always accurate, his flurrys are very good but it was evident that chuck caught him a few times. Shots that chuck of 2-3 years ago would have ended fights with. Chuck has lost his KO power and since he never had to develop his MMA game over the years due to generally winning with KO's and Stoppages he has coasted through to an extent. Similar to BJ Penn did for a while imo. Yet another aspect which i could be called crazy for is that Franklin is a maths teacher...His angles and set ups are always perfect. Whatever the logistics are behind it when he has ti fight someone like Chuck who comes at him with power strikes it means Rich can dodge and get the angled shots in there as effectively as possible. It was a fantastic card, looking forward to 116

I have to disagree with your BJ Penn statement. Yes his striking is beast and he has Tko'd a lot of people, but its not like he relies and "coasts" through fights with his striking game. The people he faces just know better not to test his ground game.

While coasts may have been a bad word..Chuck is the epitomie of the party life style up until recently as he wanted another chance. I think he was amazing in his day and helped promote the sport to people who got into it by KO's.

If not, Mirko landed a FLUSH left head kick, better than most he landed in their 05 fight, and Hunt wasn't knocked out. Think CC/Igor kind of kick. He went down and was stunned but wasn't out. I'll find video if you want.

Pretty much. Mark Hunt is primarily a K1 fighter who made a transition to MMA a while back and is considered one of the toughest mofo's on the planet. He hasn't fought in the UFC. His chin up until a year ago was legendary because he'd never been knocked out, even though he took some of the hardest shots from deadly opponents. Cro Cops head kick used to knock people out if it even grazed them. Hunt took all of them full on and he walked right through them with ease, stunning everyone. I think he was only knocked down once by CC. He doesn't have a great MMA record but don't let that fool you. He's fought the best of the best: Fedor, Cro Cop, Wanderlei Silva, Gegard Mousasi, Josh Barnett, Alistair Overeem, and Melvin Manhoef to name a few just in MMA. He does have the wins over CC(in MMA fight) and Wanderlei Silva.

I'll be honest, I was shocked when I read the results for that fight the next day. Never thought I'd see that happen, especially that quick. Either way, one hell of a punch.
