this is really an underrated card. From top to bottom it is STACKED. But the only fight everyone is talking about is the main event(which is to be expected I suppose).....I just thought more people would be pumped for the other fights as well.

I am. Haha. It's just too early to get "pumped" when we haven't really seen too many interviews or the countdown show.

I'd say this is my most anticipated MMA event/PPV of the year, second only to maybe Penn/Edgar II.

I just dont see how people are picking Sonnen to win. Are you serious? Are you guys actually believing the mindfukc that he's trying to pull on us? We all know Sonnen ain't shit. Silva is going to run through him like black friday at Walmart. If he actually comes in motivated, i cant seeing this going passed the first round. And if it did, its honestly because Anderson allowed it to(like Maia fight).
Silva is simply way before his time in MMA.

Not the same kind of comparison, dude. Sorry.

Anderson Silva has bones in his body and a chin on his face. He can be beat.
I think Silva and GSP are put in the exact same light that Fedor was, if not an even bigger one. People think because they have a great skill-set and amazing record, they literally just cannot lose.
Silva's been caught before. To automatically claim any fight is gonna be just an quick walk-though, is ridiculous in this day and age.
Can Silva beat Sonnen? Probably drunk and with one good eye.
Will he beat Sonnen? We'll see.
And in that light, yeah, I think it's pretty much the exact same kind of example/comparison.
I was by no means comparing Werdum to Sonnen. Not by a long shot.

Anyone can win a fight. Everyone knows that deep down. But comparing 2 fighters that are in no way alike is weird.

I compared two fights. Not fighters.
Are you seriously gonna tell me anyone had Werdum picked against Fedor? Really?
Now are you really gonna tell me any educated or even casual fan has Sonnen over Silva?
He's fun to listen to, but that's about it.
It would be top 5 biggest MMA upset of all time.

Scott Coker picked Werdum.

So did Tito.

Plus Coker more or less said he wouldn't be surprised if Werdum gave Fedor a run for his money. I doubt he expected a 69 second tapout victory.

Other than the ability to talk massive amounts of sh*t, I don't see how he ha any sort of edge over Silva.

Sonnen is not even in Silva's league. Its almost as if the UFC was paying Sonnen to talk all this crapjust to get people somewhat interested into the fight. He'll rip through Sonnen, Im almost positive he'll beat Vitor. The thing about Vitor is, he quits on himself if he doesnt finish the fight within the first two seconds of the round. Unfortunately, Silva is probably the LAST fighter you'd want to do that to. He is all about patience, timing, and presicion.
If the GSP/Silva fight does happen, I can actually see GSP coming out on top. Like everyone knows on here, we havent seen much of Silva on his back, if any. GSP is all about GnP and controlling the fight so i can see Silva in trouble if it goes to the ground.

I honestly think Sonnen is doing all this talking so Anderson will fight him. He would rather get KO'd than be made a fool of like Maia. Thing is Anderson doesn't care. He wants nothing to do with the UFC. He wants out so he can get paid 3-4 million to fight Roy Jones Jr. If Dana would have given him that fight Anderson would finish every fight.
It's Dana's fault we get the Anderson we have now.

Yea i dont see why Dana is making that big of a deal out of it, its a boxing match under the boxing rules. I could understand if he was fighting in the Dream tournament or something but come on. He probably thinks it would hurt the mma's image if Silva lost to Jones Jr. I personally think it wont because of the certain circumstanses.
Bateman do you know the reason why he wont let him fight?

The reason should be simple. Dana doesn't want his guys doing other things.

Dana wouldn't even let Rampage do anything on Raw when he guest hosted with the A-Team.
Anything physical, like taking bumps I mean.
