Damn, why did I think this was the card that had Couture vs Toney as well? Oh well. Got myself all excited for that fight this weekend and just now realized it's on the next card, haha, wow.
I'm gonna pick Sonnen over Silva though the chances are slim. Also going to pick Roy over Dos Santos. I don't really care about the rest of the fights.

Man I wish they would show the Saunders fight. I love watching his muay thai.
Ben Saunders vs. Dennis Hallman- I hope Saunders wrecks Hallman.
Johny Hendricks vs. Charlie Brenneman
Dustin Hazelett vs. Rick Story
Todd Brown vs. Tim Boetsch
Roy Nelson vs. Junior Dos Santos- I don't see anyone stopping Dos Santos to be quite honest. The guy is like Big Nog version 2.0. The only difference is he has one shot KO power and doesn't take a beating in his fights. Roy Nelson has some power in his hands but I don't think he will be able to handle Dos Santos. I think Nelson will take some big shots...maybe get rocked. But not KO'd. Possible TKO in the third or decision victory for JDS.
Matt Hughes vs. Ricardo Almeida- I may be one of the very few people in the world who believes this but I still think Hughes can beat most of the guys at WW besides maybe the top 3-5. I think he will pull out the decision win.
Clay Guida vs. Rafael Dos Anjos- FOTN? Caveman will come out with a furious pace as usual and wear out Dos Anjos.
Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves- I am a fan of Alves. Still a young guy with so much potential. His striking is awesome and I hope he really puts a beating on "The grinder"......
Anderson Silva (c) vs. Chael Sonnen- I honestly got caught up in the hype. I actually started to believe Sonnen had a chance. I actually believed the verbal diarrhea that was spewing from his mouth. He was saying he was going to put the pressure on Silva. He is going to put Silva in his first "fight" ever....How many times has the man facing Silva said that the other guys he has faced were already beaten before they got in the octagon....they didn't put the pressure on him...blah blah blah. And they always say "I'm going to be a completely different fight for Silva". Chael is an exact replica of every opponent Silva has destroyed the only difference is that his trash talk is a little more entertaining.
I fully expect Silva to have a fire lit under his ass because
A) The unofficial branding of this PPV is Brazil vs. USA. He has too much pride in his country to be pulling some sh** like last time.
B) Dana saying he will fire him if he does that again. (I know Bateman says that Anderson WANTS Dana to fire him but I'm just not sure how much I believe that.)
C) All the sh** Chael has talked. Whenever someone trash talks Silva he always does the same thing he laughs it off and doesn't take it too seriously. But once in the octagon he changes and lets out all his frustrations. Chael has not only trash talked Silva but he also talked about Lil Nog, Soares, and BJJ in general.
I believe Silva will win this fight by submission. 60% of Chael's losses are by submission. The guy hasn't finished a fight in three years. I don't see him being able to lay on Silva for 5 rounds.

Silva said that Maia disrespected him, so he made him look like a fool and danced with him. Sonnen has disrespected him to a much larger degree. What makes you think it will be different?

Ben Saunders has sh*t Muy Thai. He's tall, so it's easy for him to get a hold of some guys. Put him in a real Muay Thai fight and he'll get killed.

I don't have a single worry that Anderson will "dance around and hide behind the ref" when it comes to this fight. I'm still on the fence for my picks, but I really hope Sonnen has done his homework.

Anderson has some of the best takedown defense in the sport, so it's really hilarious to think he won't dance with Sonnen like he did Maia and make him look stupid. Either that, or Sonnen gets a takedown and gets subbed.

I honestly do not believe Silva will dance around Sonnen. He did that when he fought 2 phenomenal BJJ guys in Maia and Leites. I could sense the loss to Chonan was still in his head. He beat up Chonan then Chonan literally grabbed jumped into a sub. Silva stalling and dancing was probably his way of protecting himself/running out the clock. He doesn't want to lose like that again
Against guys who aren't great BJJ guys and who came to fight, he wrecks them. He wrecked Forrest, Rich, Leben, Nate, Irvin and Lutter when they went after him. Henderson was the only guy to do really well against him and even then it wasn't for very long.
I believe we're going to see a fight that resembles the Henderson fight. Chael will get maybe a few takedowns but the majority of the fight will be Silva beating on him until he finishes Sonnen with either a triangle or KO.

Stanislav Nedkov is off the card and was replaced by Phil Davis.

Heavyweight Bout: Roy Nelson vs. Junior Dos Santos- I don't see this fight going any other way than another highlight reel KO for Dos Santos. RD 2 (T)KO
Welterweight bout: Matt Hughes vs. Ricardo Almeida not really interested, i'll just go out on a limb and say Almeida UD
Lightweight Bout: Clay Guida vs. Rafael Dos Anjos Guida UD
Welterweight bout: Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves i'm rooting for Alves on this. although impressive,i don't think anyone wants to see Fitch controling the other guy for 3 straight rounds. Alves RD 3 (T)KO
Middleweight Championship: Anderson Silva (c) vs. Chael Sonnen- this is a really interesting fight.. i have no doubt that sonnen is going to take Silva down, but that won't be any problem. RD 3 Triangle choke

Heavyweight Bout: Roy Nelson vs. Junior Dos Santos - Not a Big Country fan per say, but I'd certainly enjoy him once again showing that he's just as good as anyone else. Nothing against Junior though.
Welterweight bout: Matt Hughes vs. Ricardo Almeida - Matt Hughes all the way on this one. Once again, nothing really against Almeida, just don't see him picking up the win.
Lightweight Bout: Clay Guida vs. Rafael Dos Anjos - I love watching Clay fight, so I'll pick him on this one. I'm pretty excited for this.
Welterweight bout: Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves - I want to see Thiago Alves KTFO of Fitch.
Middleweight Championship: Anderson Silva (c) vs. Chael Sonnen - As I've said a few times before, outside of selling the fight like a Middleweight Frank Mir, Sonnen has done nothing since entering the UFC that would make me think he could actually beat Silva. Going to decision with less quality fighters, and beating people that Silva's already beaten doesn't really impress me. Silva all the way.

how could I watch the press conference? Do I go to UFC.com? My computer is slow so I would probably have to use my phone.

It's over now, but they should put it up sometime today.
It was goodness. Chael is a real pro.
Dana also announced the winner of Fitch/Alves will get a title shot. Which I find funny. I think the winner of Fitch/Alves should fight the winner of Kampmann/Shields for the #1 contender spot, because of GSP/Koscheck is in mid-December, that gives the other fighters enough time to see who the real #1 guy is.

A grinning Alves makes that picture so much better than it already is.
