Chip, c'mon man be realistic. Does Rey Mysterio Jr. in real life hit the Undertaker by his eye brows? !!! Gimme a freakin break - how can you justify and accept that crap from Jakks??? If scale, balloon arms, and balloon heads don't matter to you buddy, that's your call. I like my wrestling toys to have scale and accuracy and not be CARTOONS like Jakks.

we definitley know you didn't create the thread to continue the war, wagdaddy...but im noticing more and more, people just can't help themselves. I'm ENDING something right now... no one on this board can EVER again say the statement "Rey Mysterio is the same size as Undertaker" when referring to Jakks figures... and I have to remit a previous statement...I just matched up the Legends Austin & Hawk and they are actually the same height. I was fooled by a little depth perception. Mattel has done a fine job of creating the right heights on their WWE figures and Legends. I'm sure the biggest part of the reason is the fact that they have quite a large amount of money to be able to make many different upper leg molds to make certain superstars taller or shorter...where as Jakks had to stick with 1-2 typical designs for thighs. Talking about nitpicking? 90% of all complaints about figures on this board are complete nitpicks "rey mysterio doesnt have his current tattoo" "cm punk's tattoos are not color" "____ is missing ____ on his boot" All I ever read from Jakks haters are "rey is as tall as undertaker, balloon heads, balloon arms" The Mattel scale is a hell of a lot better than Jakks scale: This isn't my pic, BTW. I found it on google.

To be fair that picture really doesn't prove anything, because there were plenty of shorter Undertaker figures released prior to the ones with the tall kickers. There were Undertaker figures that used the small kickers(Survivor Series), the mid-high laced boots w/ tounge and the mid-high laced boots(Hell in the Cell set, CSTT2, CSTT4, CS 3-Pack). I'm pretty sure some of those were just as short as some Rey figures or just barely taller. But plenty of Rey figures have arms that are larger than Big Shows.

I'm pretty sure some of those were just as short as some Rey figures or just barely taller. But plenty of Rey figures have arms that are larger than Big Shows. you're right, PJ...however... you can't compare a Rey that was released in 2009 to an Undertaker that was released in 2005 (when they hadn't made the "tall kicker" boots) I could show a picture comparing RA 10/RA 1 Mysterio to the Ring Rage 16.5 Undertaker (which has the pants mold, not tights/boots)...and those Rey's are STILL shorter than him. I also looked at Rey's arms...and they are similar in width to Show...but it's a different arm type. Obviously Rey's arms were too large in comparison to other figures...but for his particular figures they look fine. Jakks also in later Rey's gave him the smaller bicep arms anyway, which fit his look better. I still find it funny that (not directed at you, PJ) I've made some pretty valid and reasonable points but still the Jakks haters can't even admit that I AM RIGHT in saying that Rey is NOT taller than Undertaker. I understand you guys just want to be right all the time and you need 100000 reasons to hate Jakks...but I've PROVEN that point...I can take 20 pictures if you like. Whether he comes up to his eyebrows or his waist...he is still shorter. Furthermore, Jakks DA figures are all pretty much the same size anyway, and I'm giving NO excuses for them there. The thing is...IT JUST DOESN'T BOTHER ME. It doesn't eat at my soul like it does for some of you. They're wrestling figures, that I just enjoy. I dont LOOk for reasons to HATE. I don't display all my Rey's next to my Kanes & Undertakers and go "look how tall Rey is!" in fact, every single person I've ever shown my collection to, who does not collect or have any interest in the figures (but is a wrestling fan) has NEVER mentioned ANYTHING about the "lack of scale" on my Jakks figures. I've had plenty of issues with Jakks, and if I didn't like a figure, I didn't buy it. Pretty cut and dry. I don't expect everything to be pretty perfect with my wrestling figures. Unless of course it's a figure of Curt Hennig. I'm done arguing these points for tonight. I've not said anything ridiculous, or anything that is wrong. You guys come with the same stuff...Jakks has no scale. I know this. Mattel does, and I've said they do a great job with their heights. The simple and final bottom line to this entire Jakks vs. Mattel war... JAKKS DOES NOT PRODUCE WWE FIGURES ANYMORE.

you're right Chip, Jakks does not produce WWE figures anymore, they produce TNA figures who, guess what - share the same molds/parts as the WWE figures Jakks produced and are *gasp* wrestling figures too! What's your point?
Yes Jakks Rey is shorter than Jakks Undertaker (with tall kickers) - I admit it - does it look right to you?! Is Rey really as tall as Undertaker's eyebrows? Weren't you the one nitpicking about Austin being 6' 2" and Hawk being 6' 3" and realizing that Mattel has them at roughly the same height?
You claim that you're making valid points but I've yet to see the point of any of your points lol. Look I understand you appreciate both Jakks and Mattel - that's fine, I jumped in when it was "claimed" that Mattel makes cartoonish figures - which is simply just not true.
I have yet to hear you acknolwege that Elite Orton more closely resembles the real Randy Orton in almost every conceivable way. Why don't you admit that?

I'm not saying your wrong, because I had no trouble buying them in the past. But I've not been a Rey fan since he lost his mask in WCW and because of that I have 2 Jakks Rey figures. One is the CS21 WCW Rey & the other is the Flash attire. (Because I'm a Flash fan) And since RA style started I really only bought 3 Big Show figures. One was an R3 in the RA line, 1 was in a Multi-pack about a year ago and one was CS 25 or 26 Giant. So until last year my first Rey had larger arms than my Big Show. True I could have pick up updated versions later in the line, but my first offerings Rey was larger. But seeing I'm more of a Classic guy that didn't bother me when scale first bothered me was when my CS2 Big John Studd didn't live up to his name. And it got worse when my CS6 Heenan looked as large as Studd and the CSTT4 Bearer was as large as Taker. But what really killed me with scale was when I got my first Jimmy Hart (3-Pack) and he looked like he could kick the crap out of the Hart Foundation. I didn't buy another Jimmy Hart or Bearer, because their scale was too annoying to me. I did buy other Heenan's though even though I disliked his scale, but I did find a way to hide it on my shelves with the 3-tier racks I display them on. But like I said in the other post the one thing I can't forgive is the wrong styled boots on my favorite wrestlers, because that I do see when they are on my shelves. But that still never stopped me from buying the figures of guys I liked.

First off, PJ... Jakks "manager" scale was inexcuseable...that is something that could never be defended...ESPECIALLY later on when they developed smaller bodies & legs (CSTT Wippleman, ECW 4 Tazz) If you had CS6 Heenan on a shelf by himself or with other announcers/managers he looks fine, but yes, being that much taller than guys like Undertaker or BJS was pretty odd. more like Little John Studd...tsh tsh you're right Chip, Jakks does not produce WWE figures anymore, they produce TNA figures who, guess what - share the same molds/parts as the WWE figures Jakks produced and are *gasp* wrestling figures too! What's your point? My point is that people are complaining about Jakks WWE figures, when they don't make them anymore. TNA is a different company with Jakks making their figures. They have nothing to do with Mattel WWE figures anymore. Jakks isn't going to completely re-invent themselves. They have molds & parts that are already made and ready to go. All Jakks Rey's in comparison are shorter than 'Taker. Again...figures made in 2005 cannot be compared to ones made in 2009, because things were different 4 years ago. The ONLY reason I brought up the Austin/Hawk thing was because everyone else nitpicked about Jakks' heights being off. However if you read on, I admitted I was wrong about that anyway, so it's really a dead issue. Jakks' height/scale problems have been well documented on here, but I didn't see it stopping ANYONE from buying their figures. I don't think Mattel's figures are cartoonish at all. Neither do I think Jakks' were. The point of my points is this (lol)...all the Jakks haters consistently use the "Rey is as tall as Undertaker" line...and I proved it wrong. Jakks never claimed to be a "fully scaled, realistic" wrestling figure line. NEVER...and you can trace that back to their BCA days. I don't know why people bring that up...comparing them to Mattel when they don't make WWE figures anymore. Elite Orton is one of the best wrestling figures I've ever seen. I own it. It's amazing. I think overall his arms are a little skinny...but it works with the size of the figure, which all blends in. If the Jakks Deluxe Orton had skinny arms it would look ridiculous. I think a good summarization would be Jakks figures are in proportion to themselves...not to other Jakks figures. Mattel's figures are in proportions to all other Mattel figures & themselves. OK...NOW I am done for tonight, RAW is on in a half hour and I need to go watch same size Evan Bourn & John Cena wrestle....I mean....wait....

Would they have been better in scale? Sure, but I worked around it. Even certain wrestlers had scale issues when on the shelf with other figures. Best example for me is the CS11 Rick Steiner. (Tied w/ CS7 Muraco & CS13 Hitman as my favorite Jakks figures) By itself Steiner looks amazing & near flawless, but once on the shelf you see he's way to large seeing his figure is as big as the Anvil which he was nowhere near back then. But that being said I love that figure.

I don't care if people like Jakks and Mattel, but I can't stand when someone claims Mattel is cartoonish - and come to think of it, I don't think it was even you who said that to begin with LOL And yes, Jakks Rey is shorter than Jakks Undertaker, for what it's worth
