I liked the HEAT opening with Austin and Jack having interactions just hours before their big title match. I would think that would provide more anticipation. Not sure about having three matches on HEAT. I think I would’ve just done a bunch of hype videos/interviews and do the LOD/Nation match. I would’ve opened with the lightweight match since that would’ve been a hot opener and a crowd pleaser to start off with. Glad to see the Dudley Boys win the tag team titles. I hope they get a lengthy run with the titles. I enjoyed the Shamrock/HHH match. With Rock and Austin winning I expect those two guys to feud soon. Which, obviously will be fabulous and fun to read to see how you handle it. A fine overall pay per view, it was a pretty stacked card and seemed to deliver a quality show.
I guess trying to make the Hardcore Champion respectable is a good idea, but that is a huge downgrade for Cactus in my opinion. I really like the idea of Waltman/Rey. RVD winning the Hardcore Title gives him a big rub, but I just think it was a waste to have Cactus have it for literally an hour. Sure Kane got involved but I think a simple six man match with “hardcore guys” would have been fine. I’m fine with the Outlaws getting some of their heat back on the Dudley’s. Seemed to be nicely done. I would’ve liked to see Rock win the main event and not a no contest result. I hope you don’t go a four way route. Decent RAW, I suppose. I’m still enjoying this diary, for sure.

I think I booked it the best way I could without having to do some major over bookings.

Owe you a big reply, an the devil has come to collect. Hopefully I'll still get some to my TNA from you, but you don't honestly owe me shit, this is just making us even. Part pf the reason it's taken so long is I don't really like this/know this time period much, so I have a hard time sticking to diaries revolving around it. RAW 8/17/98: Excellent, EXCELLENT opening segment, the Foley promo was good, the austin interupption was well done, and Foley attacking him at the end was amazing. Loved this. Good build to Taker/Rock, the gauntlet was well handled with the Mark Henry DQ and the subsequent Rock win. Post match beatdown. and we know Rock withh be getting his just desserts soon enough. Kevin Kelly lol, at first i thought i read Kelly Kelly, and I was thinking, what the hell would an 8 year old kelly kelly be doing with Bradshaw? Bradshaw and Goldust feuding is interesting, but how did Bradshaw hit him if he appeared on the screen? Cactus winning is good. Classic Stone Cold promo, and a good win by the Outlaws. Jarrett/Owen feud is good, I like both guys a lot, and it is eashy to visualize them going at it. Catch with Head was amusing. Glad to see Martin and RVD win. Good ending, with Mankind, and Kane assaulting them. Heat 8/23/98: Sounded like a chaotic opening match, but really good one. Never liked Severn, thought he'd end up killing someone, could never do the transition like Shamrock. Great ending with Austin laying down the law. RAW 8/24/98: Another great opening segment, really puts things over and builds the hell nicely. Good solid match there, RVD getting the win is good. Loved Rock not wanting to get in the ring with Taker, smart move. Good double brawl end to Cactus/Hart. Kane is on a roll. He was my favorite superstar as a kid, i was only 8 when this era was on, so i couldnt watch much, but Kane was always my fav cuase of his look. Intense tag, good win for the nation. Great classic DX segment, loled at the weiner dog. Shamrock is a beast. Mysterio in this diary makes a cool addition. Good tag match hewre, and the stage was set for Bradshaw/Goldust. Kane/Steve was a good match, and the end with Austin and Cactus working together to take down Kane was cool. Gonna skip over this Heat and go right to Summerslam. Summerslam: Good opening match, and good win for the faces, head is a decisive factor lol. Mysterio with the beat win in what spunded like an excellent match, that would have been a really good one to actually see. I thought you made a great finish to Owen/Jeff, where you expect Jeff to get that cheap win, but owen sneaks in a roll up! Great stuff. Great idea to have the Dudleys pop up and win the gold, this feud should be a gold mine if you choose to go with it. I had a feeling Shamrock would lose, but it was a nice write up, and definitely captured the feel of a HHH match in this period of time. Excellent match with Rock/Taker, shocked me as well that Taker lost clean, but it worked imo. Really big rub for Rock, don't just waste that lol. What a brutal ing war to end Summersla, that would have been a killer match. Austin is just as badass. Jack looked really good though. RAW 9/5/98: Good move with Rock wanting in that contendership bout, anyone would be pissed if they beat Taker and got left to dry like that. Hardcore Title is meh, utilize it in a better fashion than the WWE actually did. Hair on the line by jarrett, oh yeah! Waltman going after the light heavyweight gold should make things interesting, and Mysterio/Waltman will be sick. RVD winning th hardcore belt is a good way to capitalize off his ECW history, so that is good, and Kane costing cactus was well done. The war on ECW is awesaome, would love to see Dudleys and RVD team at one point against Waltman and the outlaws. Cool end with the Brothers owning Austin.

9/6/98: New Haven, CT; Coliseum
The usual opening plays as we are greeted by Jim Ross and Shane McMahon. They hype up that tonight we will see Stone Cold Steve Austin take on “Double J” Jeff Jarrett in our main event! The theme of the Legion of Doom hits and the crowd pops to start off the show!
The Legion of Doom def. The New Midnight Express(w/Jim Cornette) The Legion of Doom bested their former foes here after the Doomsday Device on Bart.
Following the match The Legion of Doom celebrate their win as Jim Cornette yells at Bart and Bob on the outside. They both point their figures at each other, blaming one another for the loss. The scene fades with the Legion of Doom celebrating their win.
A video plays recapping Raw is War. It highlights the opening segment, Rob Van Dam winning the Hardcore Championship, and the main event ending in a no contest after Stone Cold attacked all three men. The video ends with “The Brothers of Destruction” chokeslamming Stone Cold.
Break
We see a replay from Raw is War with Sean Waltman attacking Light Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio after his match.
Sean Waltman(w/Chyna) def. Scorpio Scorpio and Waltman put on a pretty good match here. Sean put Scorpio away after the X-Factor.
Following the match we see The New Age Outlaws with Michael Cole. Cole asks them about their “war” against ECW. Bad Ass takes the microphone as Jess James shoves Cole away. Gunn says that ECW is nothing except untalented losers “wrestling.” That is the company that produced guys like Terry “I will not retire because I’m too damn old to do anything else” Funk, Mick “Out of my damn (fat) mind” Foley, Al “whacko who can only get a fake women’s head” Snow, B.b.b.b.b.b.ubba Ray and D-Von Dudley! Road Dogg then takes the microphone and says all these “wrestlers” think they can come into this company and steal their spotlight! He promises that The New Age Outlaws will kick all their asses on Monday Night Raw, and send them back to the bingo halls for the injustice that was done to them! The Outlaws leave as we go to a break.
Break
We come back from beak to see a video hyping up the debut of what appears to an Adult-Film Star, Val Venis.
The New Age Outlaws def. The Headbangers The Outlaws put Thrasher away with a Double Spike Piledriver.
Following the match the former tag team champions of the world weren’t done yet. They threw “Trash-er” out of the ring and they begin to beat down on Mosh. Road Dogg goes outside as Gunn hits the Fame-Ass-er. Meanwhile, Jesse James slides a table into the ring! They set it up, before using The Dudley’s own finisher to put Mosh through the table! The Outlaws leave to heat from the crowd, staff checking on The Headbangers.
Up next, Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Jeff Jarrett!
A video hypes Breakdown: In Your House, live on pay per view September 27th!
Break
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Jeff Jarrett(w/Tennessee Lee) VIA DQ As Stone Cold was sizing up for the Stunner, The Rock came out and got pay back from Raw is War with the Rock Bottom on Stone Cold!
The Nation of Domination came out from the back and they began to attack Austin. D-Lo hit the low down on Austin as Mark hit a huge splash while The Godfather held him down. The Rock then hit the people’s elbow on Austin before yelling at them to bring him back up. Austin tried to fight back, but he was too hurt. Rock easily kicked him in the stomach and hit another Rock Bottom. Rock held the WWF Championship high in the air, and the title hunt is getting more intense, and there still is no number one contender! HeAT goes off the air.

WWF RAW Saturday Night: Saturday 5th September 1998...Hmm, decent promo to kick off the show, but there should have been a bit more backstory to why Vince McMahon chose Undertaker and Kane to go at it for a shot at Stone Cold Steve Austin's WWF Championship. Of all WWF superstars, too. Also wish there was more reasoning to why McMahon gave Cactus Jack the WWF Hardcore Championship despite losing at SummerSlam last Sunday. It doesn't make sense. In reality, Vince would be more so pissed off at Jack for failing to beat his rival, Austin. I'm just not so fond of these decisions. Also, for debuting the title, and having it defended in its first match in a SIX WAY tag team match, it sounds so clustered and doesn't give a whole lot to the prestige. Especially when it's being defended against four undercarders and Terry Funk, who should really be long gone by this point. At this age, it's hard to take Funk seriously as a solo uppercarder that could kick your ass. The Rock getting in on the contenders situation is acceptable I suppose, but just because he beat 'Taker last night, I don't see him as a legitimate uppercard number one contender. It is an interesting twist from real life though. Owen Hart beating Marc Mero was an interesting opening contest, didn't do a whole lot for me though. Keep giving Jacqueline things to do, so she can gain a character herself. Different things than what she did with Sable. Jeff Jarrett wanting a rematch against Owen was okay I suppose. Not that fond of the move though, we've seen these two feud over the WWF European Championship too much now. Let someone else give it a shot. Good promo with D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry: putting characters in for them is a very good move. Rey Mysterio Jr beating TAKA Michinoku is fine, Sean Waltman attacking Rey is fine I guess. Waltman is a lot better than the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship division though, he just doesn't need it at all. Dustin Runnels dropping the Goldust gimmick here was left a bit late: another nine months after he started to show signs of disliking to the gimmick, he finally drops it. You'll soon realize that Runnels will never be as profitable as Goldust though. Clustered first hour main event, Rob Van Dam got a huge rub out of it, but him not beating the actual champion I didn't like. Kane attacking Jack was cool though, I'm predicting them to go at it at Breakdown. Very Attitude Era like though, for RVD to win the title an hour after Cactus was crowned first champion. The Dudley Boyz finally introducing themselves is fine, but this didn't quite work out in my diary, for an ECW tag team to win the WWF Tag Team Championships in their debut. It is a fresh change from the New Age Outlaws though, and there isn't really another credible team already here in the World Wrestling Federation to follow up as champions. I hope you're thinking longterm on the tag team division. You gave the Nation undercarders some more momentum against the Dudleys, the Outlaws invading ECW live events would be nice, but probably going to get the Outlaws attacking RVD, Cactus Jack and Terry Funk instead. Weird to see D-Generation X members and Nation members work together though. You should have given D-Lo and Mark something else to do, even if it was just a squash match. Triple H beating Faarooq was fine. Really, what else could Faarooq do? Triple H's promo was pretty sweet, looking forward to the rematch with Ken Shamrock next week. Would be really Attitude appropriate if Shamrock regained the WWF Intercontinental Championship there, and the two traded the belt up until Breakdown. Edge beating Savio Vega didn't do much. Liked the bloodbath segment, Gangrel I assume. I hope you do the Brood. They were really WWF Tag Team Championship material. Bit late to debut Val Venis I feel, but alright. Just don't build him up too fast. Kane, Rock and Undertaker fighting to a no contest was cool, did like Austin attacking everything in sight though. Please avoid giving us a fatal four-way match at Breakdown though. Save that for something epic like Survivor Series. Overall, mixed bag show, some things didn't make sense, others fitted ideally. Oh, and just for the record, I did the Dudleys/Outlaws thing first in my 98' as I wrote those shows up in April, you just happened to have the same mind set as me, hahaha.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 6th September 1998...God, LOD 2000 are still feuding the New Midnight Express? Get both teams onto better things, if given the chance, Bob Holly and Bart Gunn could be high in the WWF Tag Team Championship chase. LOD 2000...they're almost out of things to do. They're basically nostalgia relief, like Terry Funk. Don't kill the Midnight Express yet. Sean Waltman beating Scorpio is cool, but for God's sake, Waltman is meant to be the number two guy in D-Generation X, why is he treading water in the useless WWF Light Heavyweight Championship division? He should be aiming higher. I know you give that division more prestige, but not enough for an upper carder like X-Pac to be wasting his breath. The New Age Outlaws' promo on Cactus Jack was everything I expected. Don't let the Outlaws neglect Rob Van Dam, for the record. The Outlaws beating the Headbangers...VERY ECW like... Please give Mosh and Thrasher something to do, they were very over with the fans around this time. The Outlaws putting Mosh through a table was pretty cool. Stone Cold Steve Austin beating Jeff Jarrett was a solid main event, didn't like the finish with the Rock and the Nation attacking too much, but I see why you did it. Not too bad an episode.

Heat 9/6/98: Nice opening with the Legion winning, not sure on the seeming Express breakup though. Really good promo by the Outlaws, really sets the stage for their war on ECW, and should make for an interesting bit of reading. Glad to see the Headbangers lose, I always hated them. Good stuff with the outlaws using the Dudley's move with a table, this crapgot personal yo. Good ending with the Nation owning Stone cold, my everyone seems to want his head

Raw Saturday Night - 9/12/98: Lowell, MA; Tsongas Arena
Raw Saturday Night starts with The WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin walking in the parking lot. He says he wants to know what the hell is going on with Kane and The Undertaker, and he won’t stop until he finds out! He even goes as far to say tonight he’ll be “Sheriff Steve Austin”! Also, he wants to whoop The Rock’s ass all over the Tsongas Arena! And that’s the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold Said So.
Before we can have our usual opening, The Undertaker is already walking out to the ring. The Undertaker assures everyone that his brother Kane and he are not in any alliance. Last week their paths to the Holy Grail that is the World Wrestling Federation Championship happened to cross paths. Undertaker then demands that Vince McMahon walks out here and addresses this situation properly, or there will be consequences. Vince, Shane, The Goons, and security all walk out to the ring as Vince tells Undertaker that he has some guts calling him out! Vince says that he wants a number one contender as much as the next guy does, but he is not going to hand out any old title shot! Vince says that tonight we will see a rematch from last week, and security will be on hand to make sure Stone Cold is nowhere near the ring! Vince then tells Undertaker that he also wants to know what is going on with him and Kane. Taker asks if he’s calling him a liar, and Vince says your damn right he is! Undertaker stares at him, but then Vince Slaps him! Undertaker grabs Vince by the throat, but security pulls Vince out of the grip and the rush out of the ring. Suddenly, Stone Cold runs from the crowd and takes down The Undertaker! Stone Cold hits shot after shot, and security doesn’t even notice as they are checking on McMahon! Taker starts to fight back, and he goes for a chokeslam, but Austin slips out and hits the Stunner! Austin leaves the ring and passes Vince, flipping him off before leaving! Vince having no clue what’s going on as Undertaker sits up!
Break
We come back to see a replay of what we just saw. JR and Cole say that tonight we can expect two title matches as well! Not only will Triple H defend his Intercontinental Championship versus Ken Shamrock tonight, but RVD will defend the Hardcore Title against Al Snow! Also this hour Owen Hart will team with Faarooq to take on Jeff Jarrett and Marc Mero!
Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam(w/Andrew Martin) def. Al Snow(w/Head and Steve Blackman) This was a fun opener to the night. Martin and Van Dam were up the their usual tricks, as Martin blinded sided Blackman, allowing Van Dam to hit the Van Terminator and the Five Star Frog Splash.
After the match Van Dam is handed the title as Martin and he head up the ramp. Martin rises his hand, but in the ring The New Age Outlaws are attacking Al Snow! They put the boots to Snow and they throw him into the ring post. Bad Ass punts Head to the ringside area as Road Dogg takes a microphone and drills it into Snow’s face. He then says that The Road Dogg Jesse James and Bad Ass Billy Gunn are not done here tonight, and they will not stop destroying anything ECW until Slaughter undoes the injustice from Summerslam! The Outlaws leave the ring as Blackman runs in to check on Snow.
Break
Backstage we see The Outlaws walking backstage, proud about what they’ve done with Stone Cold approaches them. Billy says “nice hair”, but Austin ignores it. Austin demands to know what they know about Kane and The Undertaker. The Outlaw say they don’t know anything, so he responds by saying they must be a couple of morons! Austin asks them what two plus two is, and they answer four. Austin says they do now something, so maybe they aren’t a couple of dumb asses after all! Road Dogg doesn’t take this too kindly and he mentions how Stone Cold use to wrestle for ECW. Austin says that they are damn right, and if they try to attack him right now they are dumb asses! Gunn assures him that they’d never do anything like that, but Austin cuts him off and says they better get the hell out of here because he only gives a damn about Undertaker, Kane, and The Nation! The Outlaws stare at Austin before they go their separate ways.
Edge def. The Godfather(w/Three Women) Edge and The Godfather put on a decent match here. Edge picked up the win with a Spear.
Following the match the same theme song from last week played as the lights went out. When they came back on The Godfather, who had rolled to the outside, was in a blood bath! Everyone was confused again as Edge stood in the ring, starring down at The Godfather.
Backstage Ken Shamrock is getting ready for his title match tonight, Kevin Kelly is with him and Ken snatches the microphone. Ken says that tonight he is going to make sure Triple H has a very, very short title reign! He was downright screwed at Summerslam because Triple H knew he couldn’t beat him! Shamrock vows to not only to take back his championship tonight, but to break both of Hunter’s ankles! Shamrock goes back to punching a bag as Raw goes to a break!
Break
As we come back Sean Waltman and Chyna are making their way out to the ring. Sean lets everyone know that once he beats Rey Mysterio tonight, he will be name number one contender for the Light Heavyweight Championship! Sean then says he’ll beat him again at In Your House, and DX will have officially conquered every division in the WWF! And if you’re not down with that, Suck It!
Sean Waltman(w/Chyna) def. Rey Mysterio This was a pretty good match, but when Rey went to hit the springboard hurricanrana, Chyna pulled his leg, allowing Sean to grab him and he hit the X-Factor!
Backstage we see “Sheriff Steve Austin” with Kevin Kelly. Stone Cold says that this time, he’ll be the interviewer, and Kevin will stand there and answer the damn questions. First, Austin asks Kevin has a family at home. Kevin asks him what does this have to do with anything. Austin simply says that’s a shame and asks Kevin who his favorite superstar is. Kevin shrugs and says that he thinks Owen Hart is pretty cool. Austin looks down on Kelly before asking him if he knows anything about Kane and The Undertaker. He says that he just knows that they are brother. Austin replies by saying “Everyone knows that they are brothers you stupid Owen Hart loving son of a bitch!” Austin pushes him out of the way before leaving.
Catch Breakdown: In Your House, live on Pay Per-View on September 27th.
Break
JR and Cole hype up that in the second hour of Raw is War we will see Ken Shamrock versus Triple H, The Nation of Domination taking on rivals Legion of Doom, and The Rock versus Kane versus The Undertaker!
Owen Hart and Faarooq def. Jeff Jarrett and Marc Mero(w/Jacqueline and Tennessee Lee) This was a pretty good tag match, with Owen Hart and Faarooq teaming once again. This time, Tennessee Lee tried to help Jarrett, but he was still pissed about last week and told him to get back down, this was enough for Owen Hart to come from behind and roll him up for the three!
Jarrett was in shock as Mero and Jacqueline left in disgust. Jarrett yelled at Lee as Owen Hart and Faarooq celebrated in the ring.
Backstage we see The Rock with The Nation of Domination, minus The Godfather. Rock says that Stone Cold mentioned wanting to kick his ass all over the arena tonight, well he’s right here and he should bring it, or he should shut his mouth and know his roll!
We go live and we are with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. They hype that tonight we will see The Rock, Kane, and The Undertaker in the main event again, but right now we have our Intercontinental Championship match!
Ken Shamrock def. Intercontinental Champion Triple H(w/Chyna) to WIN the title This match had a controversial finish. Ken Shamrock had the Ankle Lock applied, but Triple H’s other leg was under the rope, the ref didn’t notice, and when Hunter tapped out the ref rang the bell.
Shamrock was handed his title, but Chyna augured with the ref. Hunter then began to yell at the ref as Shamrock fought for his win. The ref watched the replay on the Titantron and took back the title, Shamrock was furious as the ref said the match would restart. When the ref went to the hand over the title, Sean Waltman came from the crowd and hit Shamrock with a chair in the back! This caused Shamrock to stagger as the bell rang and the ref turned around.
Triple H(w/Chyna) def. Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock to RETAIN the title As Shamrock was staggering, Triple H was easily able to kick him and hit the pedigree to retain the title.
Triple H was handed his title and he bailed from the ring. Chyna raised his hand as Shamrock was sitting up in the ring. He was obviously frustrated. We haven’t seen the last of this!
Still to come tonight, The Rock will face Kane and The Undertaker in a triple threat match.
Break
Backstage “Sheriff Steve Austin” was with Edge, asking if he knew anything about The Undertaker and Kane. Edge was sitting in a corner, not saying anything. Austin asked the question repeatedly, but Edge never answered. Austin gave up and walked away to find The Headbangers listening to metal music. Austin told them to turn that crap off, but they didn’t. Austin then threw the radio off the table and asked them if they knew anything about The Undertaker and Kane. The Headbangers said they didn’t know anything, but Steve will have to pay for that! Austin says and he agrees, before taking them both down with a double clothesline! Austin walked off the scene with his title in tow.
Dustin Runnels vs. Terry Funk Never Began As Terry Funk was making his way out to the ring, The New Age Outlaws attacked him from behind.
The Outlaws threw Funk into the ring as Dustin Runnels left the ring. They put the boots to Funk as Road Dogg left the ring again, allowing Mr. Bad Ass to hit the Fame-Ass-Er. Road Dogg then slid a table into the ring, and it looked like The Outlaws would be going for the Dudley Death Drop again, like they did on HeAT, but instead Gunn took a microphone and said they won’t be doing some crappy finisher, even though that’s all it would take to put this old man down. Gunn threw it down before The Outlaws grabbed Funk and climbed on the table, hitting a Spike Piledriver! Funk was out as The Dudleys ran out and The Outlaws left the ring. Bubba said that if they want a war, they got a war!
A video hypes up the debuting Val Venis, someone who appears to an Adult film star.
Break
As we return from our break a reply is shown of what just occurred with The New Age Outlaws, The Dudleys, and Terry Funk. Jim Ross says we will have an update on Terry Funk’s condition this tomorrow night on Sunday Night HeAT.
D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry def. The Legion of Doom The Nation and The Legion of Doom continued their side feud here as they met and tag action. They have been trading wins on HeAT and Raw is War. Tonight D-Lo and Henry got an impressive win when they Legion of Doom went for their finisher on D-Lo, but Mark stopped it by catching Hawk in mid air! He threw Hawk to the floor before taking out Animal, allowing D-Lo to go up high and hit the Lo-Down!
Following the match “Sheriff Steve Austin” marched down to the ring. The WWF Champion said he’s not out here to whoop their asses, yet. Austin just asks them if they know anything about The Undertaker and Kane. D-Lo takes a microphone and says that they don’t know anything, but they are prepared to whoop Steve’s behind much like The Rock will at Breakdown once he wins the Number One Contender’s match here tonight! Austin smirks at this, but he flips off D-Lo and hits the Stunner! Austin then goes to fight Henry, but security and Mr. McMahon rush out. Mr. McMahon says he’s keeping his word and he is throwing Austin out of the building! Austin flips Vince off as well before striking a security guard, but they out number Austin and they wrestle him to the ground. They put him in handcuffs before carrying him off until Vince flips Austin off as he leaves. Austin smiles as Vince walks down the ramp to join JR and King for our main event! Meanwhile, this allows Mick Foley to sneak in from the crowd and take a seat at ringside, what has he planned?
Break
The Rock def. Kane(w/Paul Bearer) and The Undertaker We found out what Foley had in mind as when Kane hit a Tombstone on The Undertaker, Mick Foley ran in with a chair, creaming Kane in the head! This caused him to stagger, so Mick hit a Double Arm DDT onto the chair! Foley left the ring as Rock crawled over and draped his arm across Kane, getting the three!
Mark Henry came out and helped The Rock up as Foley smiled on the ramp. Vince McMahon didn’t look happy at all. The Nation walked out of the ring and the ref declared The Rock the winner. Kane and Undertaker sat up in the ring, starring at each other. Turns out Vince got rid of the wrong guy, Raw is War going off the air!OOC: I'm pretty sure most of you will say why couldn't Rock have won last week, but everything is apart of one big storyline, so hang tight. Also, HeAT is going to have A LOT of feud progression for big feuds like Shamrock/HHH, Austin/Rock, and Cactus/Kane, so I'd be pretty sure to read that.

RAW SN 9/12/98: Really good opening segment, must have been a crowd pleaser, with Taker almost chokeslamming McMahon and an Austin sneak attack, I liked the attack by thr Outlaws on Snow, as it added some excitement since it was obviousRVD wouldn't lost the strap there. Good little bout with Pac and Rey, should be a really good match the next time they lock up. Poor break from Shamrock, will be interesting to see where it goes from here. I thought the Austin segments throughout the show were really good. Glad to have Rock aa the contender.

9/13/98: Lowell, MA; Tsongas Arena
After the usual HeAT opening we are greeted by Jim Ross and Shane McMahon. They mention how tonight we will see the debut of Steven Regal, The Dudley Boyz in action, and Shane’s father, Mr. McMahon will be making a rare HeAT appearance to kick off the show tonight! They waste no more time as Vince and his goons are in the center of the ring.
Vince says that right now he has a very important announcement to make regarding the Breakdown: In Your House pay per view event. Vince says at that event, we will see a match to determine the number contender for either Stone Cold’s or The Rock’s WWF Championship at Judgment Day: In Your House! We will see perhaps the two biggest forces in the WWF collide when Kane takes on his brother, The Undertaker once again! As Vince is about to leave, the theme of Cactus Jack hits to a pop, as Mick has gotten the fans back on his side one more. Cactus tells Vince that he is tired of this sh*t! He says he will do ANYTHING to get his hands on Kane and the World Wrestling Federation championship! Vince smirks and asks why he should be added to the match, as all he had done recently is LOSE! He lost to Austin, and he lost the Hardcore title in the same night he got it! Cactus responds by saying he was screwed by Kane both times, and he demands that Vince gives him anyone to face tonight! He’ll beat them! Suddenly, before Vince can respond, Stone Cold marched out to the ring! Austin says he doesn’t give a crap about what’s going on right now, he just wants to talk about Raw is War, and how Vince had him thrown out of the building after he flipped him off. Before even Austin can say more, The New Age Outlaws interrupt! Road Dogg Jesse James mentions how Mick Foley and Stone Cold are the two biggest pieces of trash to ever hail from ECW! Mr. Bad Ass Billy Gunn then takes the microphone and tells Vince that they have beaten them before, and who says they can’t do it again tonight? Vince smirks and tells Cactus and Austin if they can somehow co-exist tonight and beat The Outlaws, Foley will be added to the match at Breakdown! Vince leaves the ring as Cactus and Austin go eye to eye, Foley’s chance of getting in the match is looking slim!
Break
A replay is shown of what just transpired before the break and then we see Vince and his goons walking backstage, only for the “World’s Most Dangerous Man” to walk up to Vince. Mr. McMahon asks what he wants, and Ken Shamrock says that he wants Triple H one on one, without those damn DX members! Vince says that Shamrock has to be out of his mind to be so rude to him, but he understands why he is angry. So Vince says that he will grant him a Steel Cage rematch at Breakdown, but on Raw is War he’ll have to beat an opponent of Triple H’s choosing! Shamrock says it’s a deal, and walks right past Vince. He doesn’t look happy at that, and he murmurs he knows just the guy to deal with that rudeness!
The Dudley Boyz def. The New Midnight Express(w/Jim Cornette) In a decent opening contest, The Dudley Boyz put Bart away after the Dudley Death Drop.
This week Cornette yells at Bob and Bart on the outside as The Dudley Boyz are handed the tag titles. Will the Dudleys be able to keep the titles at Breakdown: In Your House?
Break
A video hyping up the debut of Val Venis is played again. It says he’ll be in the WWF for all the ladies around the world very soon!
Steve Regal def. Bradshaw Steve Regal made his debut here tonight. This bout was hard-hitting and Bradshaw welcomed Regal here the “WWF Style.” Regal tried to make Bradshaw tap, but it didn’t work, so he finished him off with an Arm Trap Neckbreaker, a.k.a. the Regal Cutter.
After the match Regal celebrated his victory before a video hyping Breakdown: In Your House played. It focuses on Stone Cold and The Rock’s WWF Championship match.
Break
We return and a video recapping Raw is War is played. It shows Austin throughout the night interrogating the WWF Locker Room about Kane and The Undertaker before being thrown out of the building by Vince McMahon. It goes to the main event where Cactus Jack interferes and takes out Kane, allowing The Rock to win the match and become Number One Contender for the WWF Championship.
Steve Blackman(w/Al Snow and Head) def. Andrew Martin(w/Rob Van Dam) This was a pretty good match here and Andrew Martin is a pretty good wrestler. Steve was setting up for the Lethal Kick, but Martin ducked and Blackman took out the ref. Martin then uncovered a turnbuckle pad, but Al Snow hit Martin with Head and put it back on! As Martin was staggering, Blackman hit the Lethal Kick and got the three!
Our main event is up next, Cactus Jack and Stone Cold Steve Austin take on The New Age Outlaws!
Break
Cactus Jack and Stone Cold Steve Austin def. The New Age Outlaws VIA DQ This was a rematch from a Y.B.C.S.O.C. last month. This match ended when Stone Cold was thrown to the outside, but he was jumped by The Nation!
The New Age Outlaws don’t know what is going on as The Nation is pounding on Austin on the outside. Cactus Jack leaves the area, happy about getting into the title match, it’s all he needed! The Nation rolls Austin into the ring and they taunt on the outside, but Austin crawls to the other side of the ring and yells at the time keeper to give a chair. Mark hands him the chair, and as The Nation gets in the ring, Austin nails The Godfather in the head! Austin then whacks a charging D-Lo Brown, and he hits the Stunner on Mark Henry! The Rock watches from the outside and talks smack to Austin, but the champion flips him off! HeAT goes off the air.

Very good way to open up RAW. That got be interested quickly in the show. Nice job having the Outlaws taking out ECW talent until they get their justice. Waltman/Rey would be a fun match to see in the WWF, since I don’t recall their WCW stuff together being all that great. I think they would make up for it in WWF. I was going to be really confused if Shamrock won the belt back so soon, but I was glad to see HHH retaining or regaining the belt seconds later. I’m really liking the Outlaws storyline. Very happy to see Rock get a pin fall victory in the main event and that has to set him up for a title match with Austin. I have to think he is going to get the title from Austin. One of your better RAW’s in my opinion!
Some brief comments about HEAT. That’s a huge main event set up on HEAT, which I like. Glad to see Steven Regal making his debut in the company. I hope 1999 is a huge year for him in this. Nice aftermath for the main event, I hope to see Austin battling Nation members in the coming shows before he meets Rock. Pretty solid show with a debut and the storyline progression of the main event.

WWF RAW Saturday Night: Saturday 12th September 1998...Decent opening promo with the Undertaker and Kane crossing paths. I'm intrigued on this situation considering they're also mixed in with the Nation and Stone Cold Steve Austin feud, all over the WWF Championship. Did like Austin getting involved, the Stunner on 'Taker may have hurt 'Taker's momentum though. What's with 'Taker sticking up for Vince McMahon? Rob Van Dam beating Al Snow is a good opening contest, Steve Blackman and Andrew Martin should have never gotten involved in their feud if I'm honest. Was that a non-title bout? What, RVD wasn't attacked yet Al Snow was? Where's the logic? Not a fan at all. The conversation that Stone Cold Steve Austin had with the New Age Outlaws backstage explained why Steve doesn't get a beatdown. Austin sounded pretty dumb by what you wrote though. You use 'dumbasses' as his main insult, far too often. Edge beating the Godfather is fine, decent match. Glad that Kama Mustafa now has this gimmick. Sean Waltman beating Rey Mysterio Jr is a solid match, but if Waltman doesn't win the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship through this feud, he'll make D-Generation X look bad. Lots of focus on Austin's character in this show. His discussion with Kevin Kelly was far too Rock like. Austin wouldn't let Kelly get a word in; he'd rip his head off if he started getting funny. Owen Hart and Faarooq...what an uninspiring combination. I noted before my thoughts on Owen and Jeff Jarrett feuding more, hopefully it ends at Breakdown. Weak main event to the first hour if I'm honest. Made for a solid opening contest to the second hour though, loved the potential of Ken Shamrock almost winning the WWF Intercontinental Championship back just for Triple H to regain it moments later. The Ankle Lock with a leg causing a rope break is difficult to picture though. Waltman's involvement only proved why Waltman should be in the midcard. No matter how you make the light heavyweight division look better, Waltman is just too big for it at this stage. Did like the New Age Outlaws assaulting Terry Funk whilst Dustin Runnels just walked off. Very Attitude like. Buh Buh Ray Dudley not stuttering? Odd. D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry beating LOD 2000 is fine, decent match. Time to end their rivalry. Steve Austin's promo was very good. Vince AND Mick Foley on commentary is interesting. McMahon getting rid of Austin is good. Liked his attack on the Nation, too. The Rock winning is for the best. I suppose another Undertaker and Kane feud is in the card for Breakdown. Rock and Austin at Breakdown should be good. Decent episode overall, all I'll say is, too many big things happening with RAW is WAR in two days. The real life RAW Saturday Night for this date was one hour long, mainly promoting RAW that Monday. Nonetheless, good job.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 13th September 1998...Decent promo from Vince McMahon to start the show. Not so fond of a plain singles match between Undertaker and Kane to determine a new WWF Championship number one contender. Also, mentioning the next pay-per-view following Breakdown. It was never ever done back here. I see you're taking advantage of the fact you have three weeks between Breakdown and Judgment Day though. Which match with Cactus Jack get into if him and Stone Cold Steve Austin beat the New Age Outlaws tonight? It wasn't made clear. Good win for the Dudley Boyz against the New Midnight Express. Guess you're ending the team that has potential but never given opportunity, Bob Holly and Bart Gunn should stick together. Triple H and Ken Shamrock inside a Steel Cage at Breakdown sounds immense. Should be fun. I hope Shamrock wins back the WWF Intercontinental Championship if I'm honest. Steven Regal is a better name than Steve...especially if he's playing the Real Man's Man role. Good win against Bradshaw, and at that, a nice initiation for Regal. Should have debuted him tomorrow night on RAW is WAR though. Then you have ONE thing to hype for RAW tomorrow night. Steve Blackman beating Andrew Martin is fine, nothing special. End this recurring tag team feud...please. You should have been done with it at SummerSlam. Cactus Jack and Steve Austin seemed obvious to beat the Outlaws, which made the former WWF Tag Team Champions look weak. Liked Austin taking out the Nation to close the show. Several bad calls on this show, but a highly eventful week, and Breakdown is shaping up tremendously.

9/14/98; San Jose, CA; Arena
This week as Raw is War is back, we kick off the show with Bad Ass Billy Gunn and The Road Dogg Jesse James attacking Scorpio at the arena entrance. Gunn superkicks Scorpio as Road Dogg grabbed him and rammed him into the wall! Scorpio was in deep pain as Gunn grabs the camera, saying a title match isn’t enough! James then says they want their titles rightfully handed back to them tonight!
We are greeted by Jim Ross and Michael Cole who announce we have a huge broadcast tonight! Sgt. Slaughter said tonight we will see the final battle with RVD and Andrew Martin taking on Al Snow and Steve Blackman, Ken Shamrock taking on an opponent of Triple H’s choosing, Kane will take on Cactus Jack in a Street Fight, and what could be the biggest main event in Raw is War history, Stone Cold Steve Austin will take on The Undertaker! Jim Ross says Undertaker made the challenge after Austin Stunned him last week on Raw is War!
The WWF Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out to the ring to a huge ovation. Austin says that tonight he has two things in mind. Beating an answer out of Undertaker after he whoops his ass in the main event, and getting The Rock to grow a pair, come out here and face him like a man! Austin says he wants no Nation, just The Rock in this ring looking him in the eye! The Rock’s song hits, and surprisingly, he does in fact come out alone. The Rock tells Austin he needs to know his role here and shut his damn mouth, or The Rock will have no problem closing it! Austin smirks and tells Rock he sure as hell knows his role, and that is opening up a can of whoop ass on The Rock at Breakdown: In Your House! Rock tells Austin he can make all the hollow threats he wants because The Rock is walking out of Breakdown the World Wrestling Federation champion, and that’s the bottom line, cuz The Rock said so! Austin tells Rock that he thinks it’s cute how he’s using his catchphrases now, because he must of realized how damn stupid his were. Rock pretends to laugh and says that is so funny, but Austin interrupts and says it’s funny how The Rock ran away like a little girl on HeAT after he whooped each member of The Nation’s ass! The chants “Rocky Sucks” as The Rock yells at them to shut up before telling Austin he had to use a chair on HeAT, and when he goes one on one with The Great One at Breakdown, he will be getting his ass kicked, and that is a guaran-damn-tee! Austin smirks and he says he’ll let The Rock try to whoop his ass right here, right now, and he drops the microphone. Rock shakes his head and he knows what Austin is up too, and he also drops the microphone. Rock then leaves the ring and walks up the ramp. The Texas Rattlesnake doesn’t take this too kindly and he heads after him!
Break
A replay is shown of the encounter between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Faarooq then makes his way out to the ring for our opening contest.
Jeff Jarrett(w/Tennessee Lee) def. Faarooq Looking to build steam towards his European Championship rematch, Jeff was able to pick up the win after a Stroke.
Jeff Jarrett celebrates his victory in the ring, ignoring Lee. Jim Ross notes that tonight Owen Hart will also be in action! We then go backstage to Kevin Kelly who is standing by with Cactus Jack. Kevin asks Cactus if he could get his thoughts on his Street Fight with “The Big Red Machine” Kane tonight. Cactus says that he has been waiting MONTHS for this to happen! Tonight he promises to make Kane bleed! He’ll rip off his mask if has to! Cactus says that there is not anything he will not do tonight to get the one, two, and three! Then, at next Sunday it will be no different! Any length is not too far, Mick Foley will be the WWF Champion soon enough! Cactus chuckles before showing his barbed wire baseball to the camera as he walks off.
Break
When we return a video once again hypes up the debut of the ladies man Val Venis. It says he’ll be on Raw is War next week!
Rob Van Dam and Andrew Martin vs. Al Snow and Steve Blackman(w/Head) ends in a No Contest This was going to be the final match between these for, but things got out of hand when RVD tried to use his title, only for Al Snow to use Head to hit RVD! Martin then hit a big boot and the ref rang the bell.
Blackman then rushed in to aid Al Snow and hit the Lethal Kick on Martin! Martin rolled to the outside, but Commissioner Slaughter came out on the stage and ordered the fighting to stop. He said he’s had enough of the antics between the four of these guys, and they are going to settle this for the final time at Breakdown: In Your House, but it will not be a tag team match! It will be a fatal four way match for the WWF Hardcore Championship! The crowd pops as Martin and Van Dam look at each other, Blackman pleased by the news, and Al Snow is smiling at Head, creepy. Break
Bradshaw is making his way out to the ring as we see a replay from Sunday Night HeAT. It shows Steven Regal defeating Bradshaw with the Regal Cutter in his debut match.
Before the match begins, a video plays shows Steven Regal working. It shows him cutting wood and such things as a “Real Man’s Man.” Steven Regal then makes his way out to the ring for the rematch. He is wearing a construction helmet and a flannel shirt. He has a microphone in his hands and he says he is a Real Man’s Man, unlike Bradshaw in the ring right there. Regal says he’ll give WWF Superstars the chance to prove they are tougher than him over the next few weeks, and that starts here tonight!
Steven Regal def. Bradshaw Steven Regal picked up another win over Bradshaw here tonight with the Regal Cutter.
Following the match Bradshaw was angered over the loss. Meanwhile, backstage we see The Godfather with Sable. The crowd pops for Sable. Godfather is also with three women, as always. Godfather asks Sable if he would like to have a spot on his “train” here. Sable doesn’t look interested, no surprise. Sable tells Godfather to move out of the way, but he doesn’t leave her alone. Sable then pushes through him, and he looks surprised. He then turns around and sees Jacqueline, and asks her the same question, only to receive a slap to the face! She storms off and Godfather is shocked, but his three women comfort him.
Up next, Kane versus Cactus Jack in a street fight!
Break
We see a quick video that promotes where you can see WWF live this month!
Kane(w/Paul Bearer) def. Cactus Jack in a Street Fight This was a really exciting match and the crowd was behind Cactus here. The match came to an end when Cactus had Kane set up on a table on the outside, and Cactus wrapped barbed wire around his arm. Cactus then went for an elbow drop, only for Kane to move! Kane then picked him up and threw him into the ring, only to hit a Tombstone onto a chair!
Kane celebrated his win by setting off his pyro as Paul Bearer joined him. Suddenly, the lights went off, and when they came back on The Undertaker as in the ring! Undertaker hit a huge chokeslam on Kane as Cactus was just getting up. Undertaker left the ring, and it looks like Stone Cold has his answer!
We kick off the War Zone hour with the WWF Tag Team Champions, The Dudley Boyz, making their way out to the ring. Bubba stutters as usual in the promo, but is helped by D-Von. Bubba says that they want The Outlaws to grow a pair and meet them out here in the ring, rather than jumping everyone from behind! Bad Ass Billy Gunn and Road Dogg Jesse James then make their way out and they have microphones. Road Dogg says that what happened to them at Summerslam was an injustice, and they want their tag titles given back to them! Billy Gunn then added how the finish only proved how everyone from ECW is a scum, and they want all of them gone, from Scorpio to Terry Funk to Stone Cold Steve Austin to them! Bubba, still stuttering, mentions how their little boy Sean Waltman tried to interfere, but he only ended up getting his ass kicked! They were playing the same game, except they played it better! The crowd cheered for the Dudleyz as Commissioner Slaughter came out to the stage again. Slaughter told The Outlaws how the referee’s decision from Summerslam is final, and they will get their chance to win back the titles at Breakdown: In Your House! They don’t look pleased and Gunn says “I guess we just aren’t finished!” They try to attack The Dudley Boyz, but they counter and throw them out of the ring. They try to get them in the ring, but the just talk smack from the outside.
Break
We see Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler who hype what is still to come here tonight on the War Zone. We will see Ken Shamrock take on an opponent of Triple H’s choosing, European Champion Owen Hart taking on Marc Mero in Non-title action, and our huge main event of Stone Cold Steve Austin versus The Undertaker! We have to suspect The Rock won’t be too far behind! Ken Shamrock then makes his way out for his match.
Ken Shamrock def. Ken Seanrock(w/Triple H & Chyna) Well, leave it D-Generation X. Ken Seanrock is really just Sean Waltman, but he’s dressed as Ken Shamrock like how he did before Summerslam. This had a shocking ending, because when Triple H went to help him, Rey Mysterio, actually came out and dropkicked Hunter into the ring post! The crowd popped as this distracted Seanrock, allowing Shamrock to lock in the Ankle Lock!
The crowd pops as Ken Shamrock is amped up, he gets Triple H in a steel cage match! Mysterio smiles from the outside as Triple H is in absolute disbelief! DX’s plan has been foiled by the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion! Ken Shamrock motions to Hunter that he will be the champion next Sunday!
Break
Backstage Kevin Kelly is with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Kevin asks Austin if he could his thoughts on what we saw earlier between The Undertaker and Kane. Stone Cold said it appears that they are not on the same side, but in reality Sheriff Steve Austin knows that something is still fishy about everything! Now, tonight, he plans on beating those answers out of The Undertaker! Kevin then asks him if he could get his thoughts on The Rock, and the possibility of him interfering tonight. Stone Cold says he’d love for The Rock to walk his sorry ass down to the ring, because he’s just been waiting to whoop his ass since December! And that’s the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold said so!
Edge def. Scott Taylor(w/Brian Christopher) Edge was fired up towards the end of the match, so Christopher tried to interfere, but Edge hit a Double Spear on Too Much! He then covered Scott Taylor for the three.
Following the match the lights go out once again and the same music plays. When it comes back on, Too Much is in a blood bath! Edge glances at Too Much as the screen fades to black.
Catch WWF Breakdown: In Your House live on Pay Per View September 27th, featuring The Rock versus Stone Cold Steve Austin for the World Wrestling Federation Championship!
Break
Michael Cole runs down the current Breakdown: In Your House card backstage. Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Rock for the WWF Championship; Kane versus The Undertaker versus Cactus Jack; European Champion Owen Hart versus Jeff Jarrett in a Title vs. Hair match; Steel cage match for the Intercontinental Championship, Triple H versus Ken Shamrock, Light Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio versus Sean Waltman, the recently added match of Edge versus the man who has been taunting for the past few weeks; and the WWF Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz versus The New Age Outlaws!
Owen Hart def. Marc Mero(w/Jacqueline) VIA DQ Owen Hart was going for the Sharpshooter, but Double J Jeff Jarrett came from the crowd and nailed Owen Hart with his guitar!
Jeff Jarrett continues his assault on Owen Hart as Tennessee Lee looks on from ringside. Jeff Jarrett begins to work on the legs before locking in the Figure Four Leg Lock! Jarrett keeps yelling at Hart to tap, but he never does. Jeff refuses to let go of the hold, but staff runs out to pry “Double J” off. Jeff takes the European Championship and struts up the ramp with it, is the sight we’ll be seeing next Sunday?
Up next; Stone Cold Steve Austin versus The Undertaker!
Break
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. The Undertaker This was a great main event and the crowd was nearly split fifty/fifty, but it seemed like more were behind Stone Cold. Halfway throughout the match The Nation of Domination made their way out to the ring, besides Mark Henry. In the end, The Godfather distracted the ref, allowing Rock to slip in with a chair. Rock went to hit Austin, but he moved and Rock hit Taker instead! Austin then hit two Stunners, one on Rock, and one on The Undertaker! He covered for the three!
The crowd pops as the ref raises Austin’s hand. Undertaker rolls to the outside in disbelief. Consumed by anger, Undertaker strikes down The Godfather! D-Lo Brown then charges, but Taker grabs him by the throat and Chokeslams him on the mat! Undertaker then left as Mark Henry came from the crowd! He tried to attack Austin, but the champion turned around and ducked, sending Mark over the top rope! Austin celebrated as he has outsmarted The Nation again, with a little help from The Undertaker! RAW 9/14/98: Opening segment was really successful to building up Austin/Rock, was a good move to have Rock actually come out alone, added a lot to things. Solid win for Jarrett, need it to look strong with the upcoming rematch. Wondering what you will do with Venis, looking forward to that. I liked making it a fatal fourway for the hardcore title rather than another tag match, makes things a little different, hopefully RVD wins. Good finish to the hardcore matc,h liked hte idea of Foley wrapping the wire around his arm, and Taker owns Kane, question answered. Got some lols out of Seanrock, and Mysterio taking out HHH is sweet. Breakdown has a sick card, and the final match was cool, liked Austin just avoiding everything and kicking ass.

Sounds like a stacked show tonight, folks. Decent way to promote Rock/Austin, seemed a little bit too much on the comedy side with the mention of catchphrases and whatnot, still looking forward to it. No surprise that Jarrett wins the opener. A four way for the hardcore title works for me. Oh god, I had no idea that you are using Regal as the Man’s Man. Damn, I was hoping he would be the Regal of 2000! Good first hour main event, no complains for the first hour. Another decent start to the second hour, didn’t seem all that interesting to me. I like Rey helping Shamrock out and hope he gets involved with a feud with DX. The last two matches didn’t seem all that exciting, which is fine to kill the crowd before the main event. Glad that Austin got the win, but Rock’s involvement continues the three way feud. A huge main event and a good way to close out the show.

I thought about using the 2000 William Regal, but for some reason why the British Snob in 1998 didn't really seem right. I was sitting here for about ten minutes on EWR trying to decide which gimmick to use.

D-Lo Brown, Mark Henry, and The Godfather(w/Three Women) def. The Headbangers and TAKA Michinoku This match wasn’t that bad. D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry have been working really well as a team recently. D-Lo put Mosh away with the Lo-Down after Mark dropped him with the World’s Strongest Slam.

Triple H says he knows Sean has his number at Breakdown, but tonight he is going to do more than just soften him up for Waltman! Kevin asks him if about his Steel Cage match versus Ken Shamrock one week from tonight. Triple H smirks and says he has beaten him twice, and he’ll sure do it again! He talks about how Shamrock thinks that he [Triple H] is locked in the cage with him, but the truth is Ken Shamrock is locked in a cage with him!

A video highlights Raw is War. It mainly focuses on the double main events of Kane versus Cactus Jack, with The Undertaker’s post match attack, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. It cuts to where The Rock tries to hit Austin with a chair, only for him to duck! Austin then stuns both Rock and Taker and gets the pin fall victory. It shows The Undertaker taking his frustrations out on D-Lo Brown and The Godfather. The video ends with shot of the two having a stare down from the ramp to the ring.
The New Midnight Express(w/Jim Cornette) def. The Hardy Brothers The Hardy Brothers went all out on The New Midnight Express, but Jim Cornette pushed Jeff off the top rope, with the ref’s back turned, allowing Bob to pick up the scraps and hit the Alabama Slam!
The three celebrated their victory as they seemed to be back on the same page. Suddenly, Bob took a make and said that they are tired of having to live off the legacy of The Midnight Express. Instead, they wanted to create their own legacy! He says that they are Bob Holly and Bart Gunn, and they are going to stay like that! They then tell Jim that he’ll have to deal with that, or he can get out of here!
Up next is our main event, champion versus champion, the Intercontinental Champion Triple H takes on the Light Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio!
Break
Rey Mysterio def. Triple H(w/Chyna) VIA DQ This wasn’t a bad match and Mysterio was able to trick Hunter multiple times. Triple H went for the Pedigree, but Mysterio was able to slip out and he dropkicked Hunter out of the ring! Mysterio then leaped over the top and landed on Hunter! Mysterio threw him back in the ring and was going for the Hurricanrana, but Sean Waltman came out and pulled Mysterio off the apron, hitting him with shot after shot!
Waltman rolled him into the ring as DX started to rip into the champion. Triple H held him up as Waltman grabbed the Light Heavyweight title, but Ken Shamrock ran out and fought of DX. Shamrock hit a belly to belly on both members and was kind enough to throw Waltman over the top rope as Triple H left the ring. HeAT came to a close as Shamrock helped up Mysterio, but also kept an eye on Triple H! The Nation of Domination def. Headbangers/TAKA Michinoku | Dustin Runnels def.
