WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 14th September 1998...Good promo to start off, but Stone Cold Steve Austin seems to open every single RAW lately. I know Steve Austin is the top guy in the company and WWF Champion, but it could get overkill at some point. Mix up who you use in opening promos every now and again. The majority of your feuds can credibly open up the show. The promo with The Rock was alright, but it seriously screamed 2001 to me. I don't know, I don't think Rock was THAT charismatic yet. He was good, yeah. But still improving. Jeff Jarrett beating Faarooq doesn't sound like an inspiring opening contest, but it served its purpose. Didn't do too much other than promote Jarrett heading into his rematch with Owen Hart at Breakdown. Rob Van Dam and Andrew Martin against Al Snow and Steve Blackman...glad that this is their final meeting. But what? ANOTHER match between these four for the WWF Hardcore Championship? Sure, it establishes the title's prestige...this could be the ideal opportunity for Martin to take the title from RVD and then allow the two to split. Their alliance isn't doing anything for me. Liked that you used Commissioner Slaughter here, I wonder how long he sticks around for though as he was on his way out of the company around this point. Steven Regal as the Real Man's Man gimmick is awful, but it works in 1998 I suppose. Him beating Bradshaw is a great way to get him over, but this should have been Regal and Bradshaw's first meeting, really. The Godfather trying it on with Sable was amusing. Kane beating Cactus Jack was a great first-hour main event in the Street Fight, more forwarding with the Undertaker is acceptable, but they should have finished when they had the Hell in a Cell match, in all honesty. The Dudley Boyz given a chance in the ring on the microphone was off. I wouldn't see them being too good on the mic at this stage in their careers. Especially when Buh Buh Ray had the stuttering gimmick, and D-Von was never too entertaining to me. Inevitable rematch between the Dudleys and the New Age Outlaws is inevitable. I can still see the Dudleys retaining the WWF Tag Team Championships though. And in this case, I'd sort've hope we get to see some individual action with Billy Gunn and Road Dogg. Just so they aren't holding down other decent tag teams in the company. Ken Shamrock beating Ken Seanrock? Hahahah. I thought it was a typo to say that Ken beat himself at first. Looking forward to the Steel Cage match, and this is a lovely way of meshing together the Waltman and Rey Mysterio Jr feud in a big time situation. Edge beating Scott Taylor...coincidental, haha. I did the same match on my show I just posted. Owen Hart beating Marc Mero...like that Jeff Jarrett got involved. It stacks the odds of momentum more in Jarrett's favour, which is vital for Owen in this buildup for Breakdown in two weeks. Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Undertaker I think should have been built up more. Glad that it was only the Nation that got involved, but they are seriously holding back Rock's potential. I see Rock losing at Breakdown, and when he does, I hope we see some dissension in the Nation. They basically do the same things week in and week out; interfere in each others matches and gang up on other superstars. It gets old and repetitive. Overall, stacked show. My only real complaint is if you're going to add the table at the bottom of your shows from now on, you should really insert a table header (i.e. 'WWF RAW is WAR 9/14/98 RESULTS') and the Tahoma font featured in your shows.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 20th September 1998...Seven days from Breakdown, terrific. Good six man tag team match to kick off the show with the Nation's undercard members beating the Headbangers and TAKA Michinoku. It's a shame that Michinoku has sank to this level. Val Venis debuting next week? Hmm...would have rather he debut the night after Breakdown if I'm honest. Nice cameo by Chris Daniels, he wasn't going by 'Christopher' until 2001 time. The New Midnight Express with a win for once is always good. The Hardy Brothers with an attempt is good. I could probably see you starting to push them quite soon. Love the opportunity for Rey Mysterio Jr, though it might be too quick. And the question is if Triple H could sell Mysterio's attacks, considering they weren't that common in the WWF at this point. Liked Waltman's attack though, overall it was a good show with nothing to complain about. Keep in mind my thoughts on the table of results you've started including.

How do you get the font in the table? I tried a few times, but I couldn't figure it out.

9/21/98; Sacramento, CA; Arco Arena
Raw is War opens with a video package of last week’s main events with Kane defeating Cactus Jack in a Street Fight, and then the aftermath of Undertaker chokeslamming Kane. It skips towards the main event of Stone Cold Steve Austin versus The Undertaker. The stunners on both Rock and Undertaker are shown and then The Undertaker taking his anger out on The Nation after the match. It closes with the two having a stare down.
We are greeted by Jim Ross and Michael Cole who announce our lineup tonight. Val Venis makes his in-ring debut against Marc Mero, D-Generation X taking on The Dudley Boyz, Rey Mysterio, and Ken Shamrock, then we will have Cactus Jack take on “Double J” Jeff Jarrett in the War Zone hour, and then we will also see Stone Cold Steve Austin address the WWF tonight! The theme of D-Generation X hits to jeers from the crowd.
Intercontinental Champion Triple H says that this Sunday at Breakdown D-Generation X will take over the World Wrestling Federation! He says not only will he retain his championship, but Bad Ass Billy Gunn and Road Dogg Jesse James will regain their tag team titles, and Sean Waltman will conquer the Light Heavyweight Division when he destroys that dweeb known as Rey Mysterio! Bad Ass talks about how everyone in D-Generation X will beat the hell out of their rivals, but they will leave little scraps for this Sunday so they can retain and win their respective championships! Road Dogg says that Billy Gunn and he are the greatest tag team in the world, and D-Generation X is the greatest faction in the world, and these next six days will only prove that! He says that they don’t have much competition, because one guy can’t even sp..sp…sp….eak, one guy can only do belly-to-belly suplexes and ineffective Ankle Locks, and then they have taken bigger craps than the last guy! Triple H vows by the end of Sunday Night DX will hold four of the championships in the WWF, and by the end of the year they will hold every title in the WWF! Waltman pitches in if you’re not down with that, Suck It!
Break
Val Venis makes his way out and the crowd, mostly the ladies, cheers for him. He is wearing a towel around his waist and he has a microphone. He talks about how “The Big Valbowski” has finally arrived in the WWF, and he tells the ladies that there is a gun in his pants, but it’s not the one you should be alarmed about. Val then takes off his towel and throws it into the crowd as Marc Mero comes out, saying that he is a real ladies man and that he will beat Val tonight!
Val Venis def. Marc Mero(w/Jacqueline) This wasn’t a bad opener and Val picked up the win after kicking Mero off the top rope and hitting a splash dubbed the “Money Shot.”
As Venis celebrated his victory we see a graphic hyping up D-Generation X versus The Dudley Boyz, Rey Mysterio, and Ken Shamrock tonight.
Break
A video plays showing where you can see WWF live in your area!
Bob Holly and Bart Gunn came out to the ring with Jim Cornette. Jim said that perhaps it is time for these two to show the WWF what the NWA is made of with their own legacy! He announces that now Bob Holly and Bart Gunn will be known as Southern Supremacy, and they are your next WWF Tag Team Champions!
Southern Supremacy(w/Jim Cornette) def. The Headbangers Bob won the match after hitting Mosh with the Alabama Slam.
Backstage Steve Blackman is looking around for Al Snow. Kevin Kelly asks him what is going on and Steve says he hasn’t seen Al since Slaughter announced the fatal four way match. Kevin asks him if he could get a quick interview. Blackman says that now really isn’t the best time, but Kelly says he just wants his thoughts on his Hardcore match with Andrew Martin tonight. Steve says that he is going to beat Martin tonight, and then do the same thing this Sunday to win the Hardcore Championship, but he is going to find Al Snow!
Break
A video promotes Sunday Night HeAT this Sunday, it says that before Breakdown: In Your House goes live, we will see a Four Way Tag Team match with The Legion of Doom taking on The Headbangers, Southern Supremacy, and D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry!
Edge def. Dustin Runnels Dustin Runnels went for the Curtain Call, but Edge was able to get out and hit the Spear!
The crowd cheered as Edge celebrated his victory when the lights went out again and the same music played. This time, when the lights came back on, a ring of fire was on top of the stage rather than a pool of blood. We then went backstage as Edge left through the crowd.
Backstage Kevin Kelly is with Ken Shamrock. He asks him about the eight man tag team match up next. Shamrock says that tonight he will tear through each and every single member of DX to get to Triple H! He says that tonight he plans on making Triple H tap out like how he did two weeks ago, and like how he will this Sunday! Shamrock says he is tired of being screwed by DX, and this Sunday when Triple H is locked in the steel cage with him, no one will be able to stop him from getting back the Intercontinental Championship!
Break
Steve Blackman is still looking for Al Snow backstage. A staff member points to Steve’s right motioning that he is that way, Steve heads right as we go to the ring.
D-Generation X(w/Chyna) def. The Dudley Boyz, Rey Mysterio, and Ken Shamrock This was a pretty good Raw main event, and by the end it went to a free for all. D-Von and Billy Gunn were the legal men and as the ref tried to get everyone back in their corner, Chyna slipped Gunn a tag title, and he creamed D-Von with it! Gunn got the ref and he covered for the three!
Chyna and Jesse James joined him in the ring as on the outside the brawl went on. Waltman threw Mysterio into the ring post. He then hit Shamrock from behind as DX ganged up on him. The Outlaws stomped on The Dudleyz in the ring as suddenly we see Waltman clear the announcers table! Hunter hits a low blow, and they put Shamrock through the table with a Double Suplex! They joined everyone in the ring and taunted as staff checked on “The World’s Most Dangerous Man.” The Raw hour going off the air!
Break
The War Zone kicks off with Stone Cold Steve Austin making his way out to the ring. Austin talks about how as of late the competition for his WWF Championship has been heating up. He says he has turned back each and every single challenger that has stood up to the plate, but there are still two men that he hasn’t had to be able to whoop their asses yet. They are the luckiest son of bitches on the planet; they are The Undertaker and The Rock. Austin says he did face Taker last week, but The Rock had to get involved! He vows that this Sunday he will whoop The Rock’s ass all over the ring this Sunday, and any member of The Nation that actually tries to interfere in the match! Austin is then cut off by The Rock who says for weeks Austin has been accusing The Undertaker and Kane of being together, but he thinks Austin and Taker are together! Last week when they were fighting off the Nation it just seemed to work too well. Austin tells Rock he is out of his damn mind, and he might have to knock some sense into it when he beats him this Sunday! Rock smiles and tells Austin he must be out of his mind to think he’ll walk out as the champion. Before anything can happen, Vince McMahon walks onto the stage and he says he agrees with The Rock! Austin doesn’t take this too kindly and Vince goes on to say we will test the team of Stone Cold and The Undertaker tonight, because they will face The Rock, D-Lo Brown, and Mark Henry tonight in our main event! Vince smiles and he goes backstage as The Rock is pleased by the news. Austin doesn’t look happy about it, Raw is War going to a break.
Break
We return as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler hype up the rest of tonight. They say Cactus Jack will take on “Double J” Jeff Jarrett, Andrew Martin will take on Steve Blackman in a Hardcore Match, and The Undertaker will have to team up with Stone Cold Steve Austin to take on The Nation of Domination!
Cactus Jack def. Jeff Jarrett(w/Tennessee Lee) Tennessee Lee tried to interfere in this match, but European Champion Owen Hart ran out and pulled him off the apron, distracting Jarrett long enough so that Cactus could turn him around and put him in the Mandible Claw!
Following the match Jarrett rolls to the outside as Owen Hart walks up the ramp, glad with what he just accomplished. Cactus takes the microphone and he says this isn’t the last time you all we see him tonight!
Backstage we see Steve Blackman walk past the janitors’ closet, and Head is in the window. Blackman opens the door to find Al Snow hiding in one of the trash cans. Snow pokes out his head and sees Blackman before yelling at Head that she was supposed to be the lookout. Steve asks Snow what is he doing, and why is he hiding in a trash can. Snow says that he can’t trust anybody with the fatal four way this Sunday, its fatal! Steve tells him not to be so ridiculous, but Snow just says he’s ridiculous and asks Head to show him the door. Snow goes back in the trash can as Steve leaves, shutting the door behind him.
Break
Andrew Martin and Rob Van Dam walk out to the ring and Van Dam has a microphone. Van Dam says this Sunday he knows for sure he will walk out with the Hardcore Championship. And his man here, Andrew Martin will make sure of that. Martin doesn’t look like he fully agrees with him, and Van Dam notices that. Van Dam drops the microphone and the two starts to exchange words, and the camera picks up Martin saying “maybe it’s my turn!” The theme of the “Lethal Weapon” hits as Steve Blackman makes his way out for the hardcore match.
Andrew Martin(w/Rob Van Dam) def. Steve Blackman in a Hardcore Match Not a bad match here, the only real weapons used were a kendo stick and a chair. Even though there was some brawling on the outside. In the end Steve went for the Lethal Kick, but Martin ducked and hit the Pump Handle Slam right on a chair!
Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker take on The Nation of Domination up next!
A video hypes Breakdown: In Your House, live this Sunday on Pay Per View!
Break
Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker def. The Rock, Mark Henry, and D-Lo Brown VIA DQ Austin and Undertaker weren’t able to co-exist well in this match. In the end Austin was about to put D-Lo away with the Stunner, but Mark Henry hit him from behind and wouldn’t leave the ring, causing the DQ.
Rock wasn’t that pleased with the DQ, but Mark and D-Lo still were beating on Austin. Eventually, The Undertaker came in the ring and tossed D-Lo Brown over the top rope. Mark then hit Taker in the back, and lifted him over his head! The crowd was in shock, but Austin kicked Mark in the gut and hit the Stunner! Rock left the ring as Mark went down, but Kane was out next! Taker and Austin waited for Kane to get in the ring, but Rock gave a low blow to Austin! As he worked on him, Kane and Undertaker started to trade shots as Cactus Jack ran out! Foley went right after Kane and even was able to get him on the mat, but Taker pulled him off and traded shots with him! Eventually staff had to ran out to try and restrain all five men, but it was no use! The War Zone went off the air as all five men traded blows!

Val Venis def. A video plays hyping up the main events of tonight’s event. It focuses on the WWF Title Hunt over the past month and The Rock and Cactus Jack being able to get their way into it. It shows Kane and Undertaker double chokeslamming Austin, the champion asking the locker room if they know anything about the brothers, Cactus Jack costing Kane a shot at the title, Austin stunning The Rock and Undertaker, and etc.
The pyro goes off and Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the event. They talk about our main events one more time before the Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam makes his way out to the ring!
WWF Hardcore Championship: Rob Van Dam© vs. Andrew Martin vs. Al Snow(w/Head) vs. Steve Blackman The bell rings and Rob Van Dam leaves the ring, but Steve Blackman chases him on the outside. Martin takes control of Snow in the ring as Van Dam tricks Steve on the outside and rolls into the ring, only to hit him with a baseball slide. He throws his head against the steps before getting back in the ring to double team on Snow. Martin whips Snow into the corner as Van Dam hits to monkey flip, and Martin clotheslines him as Van Dam taunts. Martin then goes for a suplex, but Snow fights out and hits the low blow! He hits a dropkick on Van Dam before driving Martin with a DDT! He covers, but he doesn’t get the three. RVD sneaks up behind him, but Blackman comes in with a kendo stick and starts to beat Van Dam with it. Martin the runs in, but he only gets hit in the stomach. Suddenly, Al Snow dropkicks Blackman out of the ring and covers Martin, but he is able to kick out. As the match continued a steel chair, trash can, and ring bell got involved. As Blackman was in the corner, Martin held a chair to his face, and Van Dam went Coast to Coast! Snow then came back in and nailed both of them with Head! Al Snow shook Head before going for the cover, but Martin pulled him off and hit the Pump-Handle Slam on the chair like on Raw is War! Martin was going for the cover, but Van Dam insisted on covering him. As the count went to two, Martin pulled him off! The two began to argue, but they didn’t have much time as “The Lethal Weapon” took them both out with the trash can lid! More towards the end of the match it seemed like both alliances were done and everyone was trying to win the WWF Hardcore Championship. Andrew Martin hit a big boot on Steve Blackman, but as he turned around Al Snow creamed him with Head! Suddenly, Van Dam hit him with a huge spin kick! He climbed the top rope and was setting up for the Five Star Frog Splash, but he turned and hit it on Martin instead! He then got the three! Your Winner and STILL the WWF Hardcore Champion: Rob Van Dam©
Van Dam celebrates his victory on the outside. Martin gets up and he doesn’t look quite happy. He meets Van Dam on the ramp and they start to argue as they head backstage.
Backstage we see Vince McMahon arriving in a limo from earlier in the night. He is talking to his goons about how all of the pieces to the puzzle will fall into place tonight! By the end of this year, not only will Stone Cold Steve Austin not be WWF Champion, but he won’t even be in his company! Vince looks confident as we go back to ringside.
“You Think You Know Me?” plays over the PA system as the crowd pops for the fellow Canadian Edge. He makes his way out through the crowd and slides into the ring, awaiting his mystery opponent. The familiar theme hits and the word GANGREL appears on the Titantron. A vampire-like wrestler makes his way out with a goblet and h is introduced as “Gangrel.” He drinks what looks like blood from the goblet and spits it out on the steel steps! As soon as he gets in the ring the brawling begins!
Edge vs. Gangrel Edge and Gangrel are still trading shots across the ring and Edge is getting the advantage. Edge gets him into the corner before hammering in more shots. He whips Gangrel to the other side and charges, but he move and hits Edge with an elbow. Gangrel hits a scoop slam and follows it up with a leg drop. He hits a big suplex and goes for another one, but Edge slips out and dropkicks him. Edge continues on the offense and hits a bull dog on Gangrel. He covers, but Gangrel kicks out. These two go back and forth for another two minutes until Edge throws Gangrel over the top rope. He lands on the apron, so Edge charges, but Gangrel flips him over and Edge goes all the way to the floor! Gangrel drops to the outside and hits the downed Edge with rights and lefts. He picks him up and throws him into the security barricade before tossing him back in the ring. He covers, but he can only get the two count. Gangrel locks in an Armbar and the crowd cheers Edge to get out of it. Edge is able to fight out and he backs Edge into the corner. He tosses him over and hits another dropkick. He hits a clothesline and goes for a spear, but Gangrel moves out of the way. He hits edge with his own clothesline and stops his sudden burst of momentum dead. Gangrel seems to have control for most of the match at this point, but Edge is able to fight back again. He climbs to the top rope and hits a huge missile dropkick! At the end of the match Edge went for the spear again, but Gangrel countered and hit The Impaler, a lifting DDT. He didn’t get to cover as Edge rolled to the outside after the move. Gangrel went to the outside and began to pound on Edge, but he countered and rammed Gangrel right into the ring post! The ref was up to a count of four as the two started to trade fists up the entrance way. Gangrel went for a clothesline, but Edge finally hit the Spear! The ref was at a count of seven and both men were down! Edge started to get back up, and he tried to get in the ring, but it was too late! Your Winners: No Contest (Double Countout)
Edge was disappointed with the finish, but Gangrel hit him from behind! The two began to trade shots back and forth until more referees ran out to break them up!
Go to WWF.Shopzone.com to get all the latest WWF T-Shirts.
We go back live to Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. They talk about how D-Generation X vowed to walk out with gold in all of their matches, and right now we will see Rey Mysterio defend his Light Heavyweight Championship against Sean Waltman!
Light Heavyweight Championship; Rey Mysterio© vs. Sean Waltman The bell rings and Waltman takes a cheap shot. He hammers on Mysterio in the corner and begins to taunt the champion. He whips him to the opposite corner, but when he charges, Mysterio jumps over him and hits a dropkick to the back of the head. The two go back and forth for the opening matches and at one point they even trade kicks back and forth before Rey ducked a spinning kick and hit an enziguri. Rey then bounced off the ropes, but Waltman met him in the center of the ring and hit a huge drop kick! He covered, but the Light Heavyweight Champion was able to kick out. Waltman tried to ground the Light Heavyweight Champion with a headlock, but it was no easy task. Mysterio fought out and was able to hit a hip toss before connecting with a springboard cross body! He covered, but Waltman was also able to kick out. Waltman had no trouble showing off some of his flashy moves and he hit a combination of a superkick with a follow up of a moonsault! The match went on after a cover and soon spilled to the outside for a brief moment when Mysterio dropkicked Waltman out of the ring. He then jumped for the top rope and hit a hurricanrana sending Waltman to the mat! Surprisingly, both men were able to make it back in the ring by the count of ten. Suddenly, Waltman hit the X-Factor out of nowhere, but the champion was smart enough to put his foot on the bottom rope. Sean then dragged Rey to the center of the ring, but when he went for a splash, the champion moved out of the way and waited for the challenger to get up, only to grab his arm, walk on the top rope, and hit a tornado DDT! Finally, at the end of the match, Sean had hit a low blow behind the ref’s back when he pulled off the turnbuckle pad. Waltman then went for the X-Factor, but Mysterio hit the back of the knee, pushed Waltman on his back, and flipped over him while holding his legs to get the three! Winner and STILL Light Heavyweight Champion: Rey Mysterio
After the match Sean Waltman was in absolute shock! He augured with the ref after he handed Mysterio his title. When Rey was on the top rope with his championship, Sean Waltman pulled him off and kicked him the gut in a act of rage! He then hit the X-Factor on the title before leaving the ring.
A replay is shown of Sunday Night HeAT earlier tonight with “Double J” Jeff Jarrett attacking Owen Hart in the locker room.
Backstage Kevin Kelly is with Jeff Jarrett and Tennessee Lee. Kevin asks Jeff about the situation of his title match, which was scheduled to take place next. Jeff says that in case anyone didn’t know, Owen Hart was knocked out in the locker room on HeAT, so that means the champion can’t compete! Therefore, he will have to forfeit the title to him, Double J Jeff Jarrett! He says he is going to go out there now to get his title!
Jeff Jarrett and Tennessee Lee make their way out to the ring. As Jeff Jarrett does his strut in the middle of the ring, Owen Hart runs out and tackles Jeff! He throws Lee out of the ring and it looks like we will have the match after all!
European Championship; Title vs. Hair; Owen Hart© vs. Jeff Jarrett(w/Tennessee Lee) Owen Hart didn’t fail to keep on the attack to Jarrett. He was filled with rage, but it was obvious he wasn’t one-hundred percent. Double J took advantage of the injured leg and hit a chop block. He worked on the leg once again, but Owen pushed him into the corner. Hart hit a clothesline before following it up with a bulldog. Suddenly, Owen Hart randomly locked in the Sharpshooter! It seemed like Jeff was just about to tap, but Tennessee Lee hopped on the apron and distracted the ref. Hart noticed this, so he let go of the hold and dropkicked Lee! The ref then went to the outside to get rid of Lee, so Jeff hit a low blow! Jeff then began to beat down on Hart, but when Lee got back up on the outside, the ref ejected him from ringside! Lee threw a fit and Jarrett didn’t notice. When Jeff finally turned around, he saw Lee leaving, and he started to yell at him. The ref than explained to Jeff what happened, so he started to yell at the ref before taking his anger out on Owen Hart. As the match went on and became more of a wrestling match than an all out brawl and at one point Jeff went to the top rope, but Owen Hart met him there and hit a huge superplex! Just when it seemed Jarrett’s hair was lost, he somehow managed to kick out! Hart tried to lock in the Sharpshooter again, but Jeff pushed him off and hit a huge dropkick. Jeff then took control of the match again and rammed Owen Hart right into the steel ring post! Jeff did his strut before grabbing Owen Hart and dragging him to the center of the ring, locking in the Figure-Four leg lock! Yet, just when it seemed like Hart would submit, he flipped Jarrett over and put the pressure on him! Jeff crawled to the ropes and the European Champion was forced to break the hold. In the final moments off the match, Owen went to clothesline Jeff, but he moved out of the way and took the ref out. “Double J” then hit a Chop Block and grabbed his guitar as Tennessee Lee ran out! Jarrett went to hit Hart with the guitar, but Owen kicked him and grabbed the guitar before hitting Lee with it! Jeff was distracted by Lee, allowing Hart to hit him with a chop block! Hart then dragged him to the center of the ring and locked in the sharpshooter as the ref got up, only to see Jeff tap out! Winner and STILL European Champion: Owen Hart
The crowd popped hard for Owen Hart as he was handed his title. Jeff rolled to the outside and realized what was going to happen! The ref than gave Hart a chair and a razor as he instructed Jeff to get in. Jeff refused and headed for the back, but Faarooq stood in his way! Jeff then tried escaping the other way, but he was taken down by Owen Hart! Hart and Faarooq grabbed Jeff and threw him into the ring as Skull and 8-Ball came out! They held Jeff to the chair as Hart grabbed the razor! Lee tried to interfere, but Faarooq hit him with the Dominator! Hart then started to shave Jarrett’s hair! The crowd cheered and when Owen was finished the D.O.A. threw Jeff right into the pile of his own hair!
Backstage Kevin Kelly is with Intercontinental Champion Triple H and Chyna. Kevin brings up how Sean Waltman was unsuccessful in winning his match earlier tonight, but Triple H stops him right there. He tells him that was a fluke victory and tonight he will prove why D-Generation X is the greatest faction assembled. He says tonight is not about joking around, or impersonating “The World’s Most Boring Man” Ken Shamrock, it’s about defeating Ken Shamrock in the steel cage and retaining his Intercontinental Championship. If you’re not down with that he has two words for you!
We go live to see Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler talking about our next match, the Steel Cage Match for the Intercontinental Championship. A replay is shown of Raw Saturday Night a few weeks ago, with Ken Shamrock winning the title back, only for the decision to be reversed and then Triple H retaining in the re-do after interference from Sean Waltman.
Steel Cage Match; Intercontinental Championship: Triple H©(w/Chyna) vs. Ken Shamrock The match begins and the two circle around the ring. Shamrock goes right for Triple H, but the champion as able to get out of the way. He kicks Ken in the gut and throws him into the cage before trying to make a quick escape. Shamrock is easily able to catch him though and he pulls him off before dropping him with a back suplex. Shamrock puts the boots to Hunter, but he is able to fight back with a quick shot to the knee. In the opening minutes no real man gets the advantage, but Triple H does try to escape the cage multiple times. It’s no use as Shamrock as always able to catch him. Triple H almost got out once, but Shamrock grabbed his leg at the last second, pulling him back in the cage. Soon, the champion was able to take control after hitting Ken with a low blow. This time he decided to work on Shamrock a little more before trying to escape again. Shamrock had little trouble fighting out though, and soon hit a belly to belly suplex sending the Intercontinental Champion into the cage! He pulled him to the center of the ring and covered, but Triple H kicked out. Shamrock hits a leg drop and grabs onto Triple H’s ankle, but he pushes him off and hits Ken with a high knee! He then throws him into the cage multiple times before hitting a spine buster. He covers, but Shamrock kicks out once again. Triple H follows it up with a DDT, but it’s still not enough to put “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” away. Eventually, Triple H tries to climb up the cage with the help of the turn buckle, but Shamrock meets him there before he can escape. Triple H kicks him and goes back down to finish him off, but Shamrock grabs him and hits a belly to belly suplex off the top rope! Shamrock asks for the door to be opened, but when he starts to crawl out, Chyna slams the door in his face! The crowd boos as the outside ref tries to reason with Chyna, but she just knocks him down! Other staff comes down to get Chyna out as Triple H starts to climb the cage! Ken Shamrock then gets up at the last second and grabs onto to Hunter before pulling him back into the cage! He locks in the Ankle Lock as the crowd cheers! Shamrock soon lets go of the hold and he starts to climb out of the cage, but VADER makes his return and he climbs into the cage! Before Shamrock can leave, Vader pulls him off and hits a power bomb before hitting him with the Vader Bomb! The crowd boos as Vader leaves the cage via the door this time and soon Triple H picks up Shamrock and hits the pedigree! He gives him a crotch chop before escaping the cage. Winner and STILL WWF Intercontinental Champion: Triple H
Triple H is handed his title as he slouches by the ring. Vader continues to walk up the entrance way as the crowd begins to boo him. Shamrock just starts to wake in the ring, but it’s not sure if he even knows what hit him!
A video promotes Judgment Day: In Your House, live on pay per view October 18th!
Backstage Michael Cole is with The New Age Outlaws. He asks him about their upcoming match for the WWF Tag Team Championship against The Dudley Boyz. Road Dogg takes the microphone and Gunn pushes Cole to the floor. Road Dogg says they are the greatest tag team in the world and tonight they will ship The Dudley Boyz back to the bingo halls! He says they even have a truck in the back as Bad Ass and Road Dogg then pull out a crate before Road Dogg talks about ECW and any of its un-talented “wrestlers” should be packaged up and shipped off like Terry Funk! Tonight the tag team titles come home to a real team in The Road Dogg Jess James and Bad Ass Billy Gunn! Road Dogg throws the microphone back down to Cole as The Outlaws then push the crate towards the ring.
We see replays showing The New Age Outlaws taking out multiple ECW alumni such as Terry Funk, Scorpio, and Al Snow.
Tag Team Championships; The Dudley Boyz© vs. The New Age Outlaws The bell rings and D-Von starts off the tag team title bout with “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn. Gunn takes the advantage at first before D-Von is able to avoid dropkick. D-Von starts to brawl with Billy Gunn, but Gunn slips out of the ring to talk up a game plan with Road Dogg. D-Von then slides outside and nails Gunn in the head, but The Outlaws double team him and throw him into the apron. Bubba then runs over as Road Dogg gets back to his corner. Gunn throws D-Von in the ring and goes for a quick cover. The match progresses and The Outlaws isolate D-Von at first, but he soon is able to fight them off and he tags in Bubba Ray who explodes on them. Bubba hits a powerbomb on Road Dogg and covers, but Road Dogg kicks out. The match becomes a brawl and The Outlaws take multiple cheap shots until Bubba eventually tosses Gunn into the ring and he hits a suplex. Road Dogg goes for a clothesline, but Bubba ducks and D-Von comes in to hit Jesse James with a dropkick! The Outlaws roll out of the ring, but the tag team champions are right after them and they all begin to brawl on the outside. Road Dogg throws D-Von into the wall as Bubba slams Gunn’s head on the announcers table. Bubba taunts to the crowd before throwing Gunn across the Spanish table. Bubba and Road Dogg get back in the ring as the match continues. One of the biggest spots was when D-Von and Road Dogg where the legal men and D-Von went to the top rope, but Jesse James pulled the rope and Billy Gunn hit a huge kick to D-Von’s head! James then actually threw him off the top with a hip toss before hitting a forearm smash from the second rope. Finally, the slug fest for the tag titles came to an end when Bubba charged at Billy Gunn in the corner, but Gunn side stepped him and Bubba ran into the ref. Road Dogg then threw Gunn one of the titles, but D-Von hit him with a low blow before he could use it! Road Dogg didn’t even notice this as he grabbed a table from under the ring and slipped it in. He then went into the ring, but he got caught in the middle of a storm of punches from The Dudleyz! D-Von put the table up, and Bubba then picked up James and power bombed him through the table! The ref woke up as Bubba kicked the table out of the ring before D-Von picks up Billy and they hit the Dudley Death Drop! Bubba covers for the three to retain the tag titles. Winners and STILL WWF Tag Team Champions: The Dudley Boyz
Following the match The Dudley Boyz celebrate their win as the crowd cheers them on. Bubba points to the crate the Outlaws brought out to the entrance way and they leave the ring. They push to the ring and they then go back in before dumping both “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn and “Road Dogg” Jesse James into the crate! The crowd cheered as The Dudleyz then pulled the crate up the ramp and backstage. The cameras follow them as soon they reach the truck the Outlaws were talking about and The Dudleyz push the crate up the ramp and into the truck! D-Von shuts the door as Bubba tells the driver to go. The truck then pulls off as the crowd cheers.
A video package hypes up the triple threat match between The Undertaker, Kane, and Cactus Jack up next. It mainly focuses on Kane attacking Cactus Jack multiple times and the two superstars costing each other multiple items along with Undertaker’s and Kane recent history this past month.
Number One Contenders Match: The Undertaker vs. Kane(w/Paul Bearer) vs. Cactus Jack The bell rings and Cactus flies over to Kane and starts to hammer shot after shot to him. Kane quickly over powers Cactus, but Undertaker steps in and big boots Foley. Taker and Kane then slug it out in the middle of the ring until Jack comes back in and punches both of them back and forth! He then kicks both of them in the gut, and hits a Double DDT! He covers Kane, but “The Big Red Machine” has no trouble powering out. The match starts out at a slow place, but it eventually picks up. Cactus keeps going for quick covers, which enrages the brothers. They eventually team up and throw Cactus from the ring before Kane hits a cheap shot! He hits a running power slam and covers, but “The Phenom” kicks out. Kane then goes to the top rope and hits a flying clothesline, but Cactus Jack runs in after words and takes Kane down. He hits a Double-Arm DDT as the crowd pops, but Undertaker breaks it up. Taker grabs Cactus by the hair and punches him, sending him to the corner. He hits a big splash and sets up for Old School before connecting it. Before he can do any more damage, Kane charges and takes both of them over the top rope! Kane then rips apart the Spanish announce table, but Taker knocks him out with a chair! As Kane is out on the table, Cactus comes from behind with his own chair and smacks Undertaker in the back of the head! As both men are on the table, Cactus hits them two more times before dropping the chair and going to the top rope. The crowd cheers as Jim Ross pleads with Cactus not to do this as he leaps off the top rope, putting Kane, Taker, and himself through the table! The crowd applauds Foley as all three men are down. Eventually, Cactus and Taker are the first two to get up. Finally, at the end of the match Taker went for a Tombstone on Cactus, but he slipped out and locked in the Mandible Claw! The Undertaker dropped down to his knees, but Kane was back in the ring and he grabbed Cactus by the throat! He released the hold Taker did the same before they hit a Double Chokeslam! Vince McMahon came out on the stage and he smirked as he gave the Brothers thumbs up. Everyone was baffled as Taker went to the top rope and they hit a Spike Tombstone Piledriver! The both covered Cactus for the three count! Vince got on a microphone and proclaimed them Co. Number One Contenders! Winners and Co. Number One Contenders: The Undertaker and Kane
The crowd booed the Brothers as Vince McMahon and Paul Bearer met them in the ring. Vince raised their hands with a giant smile on his face. Is this his plan he was talking about?
We go backstage to where Kevin Kelly is standing with The Rock. Kevin asks him about his WWF Championship match against Stone Cold up next. The Rock says he will kick Stone Cold’s candy ass all over Canada if he has too. The fact is he has beaten everyone from Ken Shamrock to Kane to The Undertaker recently, and Stone Cold Steve Austin is the next one who will fall to “The Great One.” Kevin asks him about what we just saw go down with Kane, Undertaker, and Mr. McMahon. The Rock says that he does not give a damn what alliances are made here, no one will stop him from winning the WWF Championship and laying the Smackdown on anyone who tries to take the title away from him! If you smell, what The Rock is cooking! Rock leaves the set and it seems like some fans are starting to enjoy Rock for his charisma.
Michael Cole is then backstage in the locker rooms with Stone Cold Steve Austin. He also asks him out the WWF Championship match where he defends versus The Rock up next. Austin says that Rock is pretty damn confident up next, surprising since he gave his ass a Stunner two weeks ago on Raw is War! He says that tonight is no different, and he will give him twice the beating The Nation gave himself when they jumped him on HeAT! Cole than asks Austin about what we just saw with Undertaker and Kane. Austin says he knew those two son of a bitches were up to something, and he was right! The fact is championship or not, he will whoop all three of their asses sooner than later, and that’s the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold said so!
We see Jim Ross and King who hype up our main event. A video shows the feud between these two the past month with The Nation assaulting Austin multiple times and the huge brawl this past Monday on the War Zone.
WWF Championship: Stone Cold Steve Austin© vs. The Rock The bell rings and the two lock eyes in the center of the ring. They talk a little, or a lot, of smack before Rock takes the first shot. Rock is no slouch and he ducks a high knee and takes Austin down with the DDT. He goes on the offense, but Austin goes right back on offense after pushing him off and hitting a hip toss. Rock then goes to the ring apron and slams his arm into it multiple times before the ref makes him stop it. Rock stomps on Austin multiple times before picking him up. He goes for a spine buster off the ropes, but Austin comes back fighting! Rock leaves the ring, but Austin is right on his tail! Rock slides back into the ring and nails Austin with a huge clothesline when he comes back in! He covers, but “The Texas Rattlesnake” kicks out. The match goes on Rock even hits a cross body on the champion! Still, he only gets a two count. Rock finally hits the spinebuster, and he follows it up with the People’s Elbow! Rock then stalks Austin for Rock Bottom, but Austin pushes him off and hits the Stone Cold Stunner! He goes for the pin fall, but Rock grabs the ropes! Austin pulls him out and starts to beat down on him, but Rock kicks him in the knee before hitting the DDT. Soon, he is finally able to hit the Rock Bottom on Austin, but Austin gets a hold of the ropes this time! Rock is in major disbelief, but when he goes over to Austin, he gets hit by another Stunner! The crowd cheers, but The Nation runs out! As Mark Henry and Godfather distract the ref, D-Lo runs in with a chair! He swings, but Austin ducks and hits the Stunner! Godfather gets in, but he hits the Stone Cold Stunner on him too! The crowd is fired up before Rock hits him with a bulldog! Rock then yells at Mark to get out of here, saying he can do this on his own. Rock then climbs up the turnbuckle, but Austin is up and he hits him! Austin climbs up as well, and they trade fists on the top rope! Soon, Rock is able to kick him off and he hits a missile dropkick! Rock then taunts for another Rock Bottom, but Austin kicks him in the gut, but he hits the Rock Bottom again! The crowd pops as both men struggle to get to their feet. As they both turn around, Stone Cold hits another Stunner! He covers, and retains the title once again! Winner and STILL WWF Champion; Stone Cold Steve Austin
The crowd pops as Austin gets to his feet. He is handed his title and he celebrates on the top rope, but The Undertaker and Kane make their way out to the ring! Austin strikes first, but they eventually overpower him and they hit a Double Chokeslam. Vince is seen laughing on the entrance way as the brothers stand tall to end Breakdown: In Your House!

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 21st September 1998...Decent promo to kick off the show with Triple H in the ring. He pretty much put over D-Generation X going into Breakdown as well as promoted feuds, particularly his feud with Ken Shamrock going into Sunday's pay-per-view. Val Venis' debut was obviously going to result in a win against Marc Mero. Venis beat the same man who I had him beat in my diary in his debut. Southern Supremacy...preferred 'Southern Justice' honestly. Jim Cornette, is a bit random for a manager. Fair win against the Headbangers, nothing special so far on the show. Edge beating Dustin Runnels is cool, liked the bloodbath. This will definitely end with Gangrel's debut. D-Generation X and their rivals had a great first-hour main event, wish that the Dudley Boyz, Ken Shamrock and Rey Mysterio Jr got away with a shock value win though. Overall, weak first hour aside from the eight man tag team match. Stone Cold Steve Austin's promo was quite good, like the division in the show. But again we have Austin start a promo; it was very much more common for Vince McMahon to kick off the show and to make something happen. Cactus Jack beating Jeff Jarrett is fine, not a bad match here. Cactus...Mandible Claw? I believe you have your gimmicks mixed up. Andrew Martin and Steve Blackman would have had an uninspiring match. You need to break this division up. I'm sick of Martin and Blackman, and Rob Van Dam and Al Snow fighting in some form. It's been this way since May for crying out loud. Lastly, great handicap main event that perfectly summed up the Attitude Era in one match. Chaotic finish to the show, I'm looking forward to Breakdown.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 27th September 1998...Val Venis with another win against Marc Mero is fine. I'd really not have had it open the show again though. Mix it up a little. Too Much beating the Hardy Boys was really what we expected every HeAT before a pay-per-view in 1998/99. Steven Regal beating Scorpio is good. Liked Jeff Jarrett attacking Owen Hart, too. LOD 2000 beating Southern Supremacy (still an unappealing name), the Headbangers & Mark Henry and D-Lo Brown is a solid main event. But thrown together, unless it was for a WWF Tag Team Championship opportunity. Overall, not so good episode, nice opening contest and main event though I suppose. Should have featured more interviews with superstars competing at Breakdown.
WWF Breakdown - In Your House: Sunday 27th September 1998...I'm pretty sick of the fatal four-way rivalry, this shouldn't have opened the show really. It would have killed my interest anyway. Seemed very likely that Rob Van Dam would retain the WWF Hardcore Championship, now please don't let us get any god damn rematches. Seemed likely that Gangrel would face Edge, not a fan of the double count out finish though. If I'm honest, this would have been better suited on RAW. Rey Mysterio Jr and Sean Waltman should have opened the show, honestly. Mysterio Jr with a roll-up win is the right decision, now push Waltman further up the card. Owen Hart beating Jeff Jarrett and overcoming the odds is good, good defense of the WWF European Championship and your opportunity to end this tiring feud as well. Triple H beating Ken Shamrock to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship is fine I guess. Good Steel Cage match anyway. Should have gone on after the New Age Outlaws and Dudley Boyz match. Wish that the Outlaws had regained the WWF Tag Team Championships though. It just seems too early in their career for me to buy the Dudleys as WWF Tag Team Champions. I doubt they'd be over enough, either. Hmm, would have seperated Kane, Cactus Jack and Undertaker's battle from the main event some more. Liked the finish admittedly, although it is copied from the main event of this show in real life. Lastly, predicted that Stone Cold Steve Austin would defend the WWF Championship from the Rock successfully. Overall, it was a pretty decent show, some booking errors. Not looking forward to 'Taker/Kane/Austin at Judgment Day. The WWF Championship I can imagine will change hands without a doubt.

-Breakdown: In Your House went among the back. Lot of the summer feuds came to an end such as Snow&Blackman/Van Dam&Martin, Hart/Jarrett, Dudleyz/The New Age Outlaws, and Ken Shamrock/Triple H. A lot went down on this show including the return of Vader, The Undertaker and Kane joining forces, and The New Age Outlaws being shipped off to Philadelphia. The Outlaws were shipped off because Road Dogg needs time to heal his arm injury that he suffered back in July. It is expected for Billy Gunn to challenge for a signals title, perhaps the European Championship.
-Right now the Kane/Undertaker storyline is going to lead to something bigger.
-Currently, the only confirmed match for Judgment Day: In Your House is Stone Cold Steve Austin defending the WWF Championship against The Undertaker and Kane, but Vader versus Ken Shamrock is expected and also the rumors have at The Legion of Doom might challenge for the tag titles.

Not surprised RVD went over as he has been a pretty good champion. I’m curious as to who will be his next challenger. Obviously Edge/Gangrel issues will be continuing. Lightweight match was actually a pretty good match and I thought that Waltman would come out on top but Rey retaining is fine with me. I thought you might go in a different direction with Jarrett possibly keeping his hair and winning the title, but it was a very good match as expected. I have to think HHH/Shamrock feud is over. Nice cage match, too. Good tag title match with the Dudleys going over. Hope their reign continues into the winter. Ugh, seems like a lot of multi man matches for the WWF World Championship. Would’ve preferred only one winner. Its not Rock’s time just yet to be the champion so Austin going over is perfectly fine. A good match to close out a pay per view that really became interesting once Rey/Waltman went on. Nice pay per view with only one booking thing I wouldn’t have done being the triple threat finish.

Breakdown was a good show from top to bottom. I love the detail you put into each match writeup. I'm excited for Judgement Day, hope that Austin loses tbh.

WWF@ Detroit, MI - Joe Louis Arena - September 28, 1998 A video of Breakdown: In Your House is shown, highlighting the huge pay per view event. It features the steel cage match in where Vader returned and cost Ken Shamrock the Intercontinental Championship, the debut of Gangrel and him fighting Edge to a double count out, The Dudley Boyz sending The New Age Outlaws “packing”, Undertaker and Kane joining forces to become number one contenders, and Stone Cold defeating The Rock to retain the WWF Championship, and The Undertaker and Kane attacking him after the match.
The pyro goes off and we are greeted by Jim Ross and Michael Cole. They hype up tonight we will see Rob Van Dam defend the Hardcore Championship against Bradshaw, The Dudley Boyz taking on The Nation of Domination, Vader facing Ken Shamrock, and we will hear from Jeff Jarrett only twenty four hours after getting his head shaved. Vince McMahon’s theme hits to huge heat from the crowd.
Vince McMahon and Vader walk out again much like they did in the spring months. McMahon says Vader has a few choice words for Ken Shamrock! Vader says that last night he attacked Shamrock, not only for disrespecting Mr. McMahon last month on HeAT, but because of how he has had everything handed to him. Vader says he had to scratch and claw to get to the top here, but he would always get “pushed” down. He saw guys like Ken Shamrock just come in here and get title shot after title shot handed to him. Then, finally this year Mr. McMahon gave him what he truly deserves, and now he is going to destroy Ken Shamrock for taking the cheap way to the top! Vader hands Vince the microphone and he says it is “time” for someone to knock Ken Shamrock down, and that will be Vader! Vince smirks before saying he would like to mention that Stone Cold Steve Austin has been banned from the arena tonight because Vince knows he will try to assault him after last night’s events! Vince changes his focus and says he would like to welcome out The Undertaker and Kane to the ring! The Brothers make their way out and before they can say anything Mr. McMahon says they have fooled all of them from King of the Ring! He was tired of Austin running around doing whatever he damn pleases, see he collected the three most destructive forces in the Federation and put them together! He guaran-damn-tees Stone Cold will not be walking out the WWF Champion on October eighteenth! Undertaker says he vows Stone Cold Steve Austin will meet his demise at Judgment Day: In Your House and either Kane or he will walk out the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Taker goes to say more, but they are interrupted by Cactus Jack!
Cactus says Vince can screw over “The Hitman” and he can screw over Stone Cold, but one person you do not screw over is Cactus Jack! Cactus says he was only a seconds away from winning the WWF Championship at Summerslam until Kane came out and ruined it! Then, just last night, right before he was going to become Number One Contender for the title, he was screwed over once again in a damn set up! Cactus warns them that Mick Foley is NOT somebody you screw over! Vince McMahon then tells Foley to shut the hell up! He calls him a “glorified stuntman” and he is no asset to this company! He has just been a Nat during this whole entire time, and he just wants Cactus Jack out of here for good! Cactus tells Vince he is not going anywhere except down there, in the ring, to stick his foot up his ass and knock his teeth down his throat! The crowd pops as Cactus drops the microphone and walks down the ramp, but Vince stops him. Vince tells him if he wants to fight tonight, he will get a fight, as he will face The Undertaker and Kane in a handicap match! Also, if he loses, he is FIRED! Raw is War goes to a break.

Following the match RVD ordered Andrew Martin to pick up Bradshaw and finish him. Martin then reluctantly leveled Bradshaw with a Pump-Handle Slam in the center of the ring. As the two began to walk up the ramp, Martin told Van Dam he was starting to get tired of him, and he simply ignored him before raising his title high in the air.
Val Venis is walking down a hallway backstage, he is in action against Dustin Runnels, and it is up next!

Val Venis def. Dustin Runnels Venis put Runnels away with the Money Shot after about four or five minutes.
Following the match Venis celebrated his victory, but Runnels had a chair! He swung, but Venis was able to move out of the way and he drop kicked Runnels out of the ring! Runnels yelled at him that he’ll get his revenge soon enough as Val just smirked. Runnels attack back firing here tonight!
Backstage we see Vince McMahon standing backstage with Undertaker and Kane. He tells them tonight he wants them to destroy Cactus Jack tonight before they send him packing. Vince tells them at Judgment Day, he doesn’t care who, but one of them must be walking out with the World Wrestling Federation championship that night! He carries on to say that over the next two weeks they will have their chance to get their hands on Stone Cold Steve Austin, because next week Kane will face him, and two weeks from now The Undertaker will face him! Undertaker assures Vince they will get the job done, but he does plan on walking out with the WWF Title.
Up next, Ken Shamrock takes on Vader!

The crowd expressed their hate at Vader as he continued the beat down. Vader dragged Shamrock to the corner of the ring before placing the chair onto his stomach. Vader then went to the top and hit a Vader Bomb! He still wasn’t done as he went up top again and again to hit two more Vader Bombs! Vader left the ring as Shamrock was down and out.

Rock was in the ring as he got a microphone and ordered Mark Henry and The Godfather to get in the ring. He told them he is tired of what The Nation has become recently! He says last month they were getting beat up by The Undertaker and Stone Cold, tonight they just got beat by The Dudley Boyz, and then they cost “The Great One” the WWF Championship last night! D-Lo tries to reason with Rock, but he tells him to shut his mouth and know his role! In the end the match broke down as Owen Hart dropkicked Gangrel out of the ring, allowing Edge to hit Marc Mero with a spear!
Edge and Owen Hart had their hands raised as Edge pointed at Harts’ European Championship. Gangrel then attacked Edge from behind before Owen ran him out of the ring. The champion then checked on Edge as Gangrel backed up the ramp, winning the battle, but not the war!
The camera pans over to Jim Ross who announces up next is their interview with “Double J” Jeff Jarrett. We see Jeff and Tennessee, who are sitting in the locker room, pop up on the screen. Jeff’s head is not completely shaven, just to note. Jim Ross goes to ass Jeff a question, but Jeff tells JR to just shut up for a second, because he’s starting to piss him off! Jeff says that last night multiple guys ganged up on him, and not only should he still have all his hair, but he should be European Champion! Lee agrees with him, but Jeff tells him to shut up. Jeff tells Lee it’s all his fault, as he made that damn ridiculous stipulation! Jeff tells him Lee has only been holding him down, and he would be the European Champion if it wasn’t for him. Jeff stands up and picks up his guitar before telling Lee he has pissed him off before smashing the guitar over his head! Jeff steps over Lee and leaves the room as staff helps him up.
Up next, The Undertaker and Kane take on Cactus Jack!
Break
The Undertaker and Kane def. Cactus Jack; Cactus Jack is fired Before the bout Vince McMahon joined JR and King at the announcers table. Cactus put up the best fight he could, he even hit the Double-Arm DDT on Taker and getting a two count! In the end he fell to a Spike Tombstone Piledriver after Kane caught him in mid-air!
The Brothers stood tall in the ring and Mr. McMahon also went into the ring to raise their hands. He then snatched a microphone and got right in Mick’s face. He said “MICK FOLEY, YOU’RE……”, but he was interrupted as up on the Titantron we could see Stone Cold was driving a Zamboni into the arena! Vince’s eye were wide open with shock as soon Austin busted out from backstage and was driving down the entrance way! Undertaker and Kane then went outside the ring to get to Austin, but he jumped off the apron and pounced on McMahon! He nailed shot after shot, but he got off just in time to hit Kane with a Stunner! Austin then started to brawl with The Undertaker until Cactus Jack got back up and helped Austin throw Taker out of the ring! Austin and Cactus had a stare down as Vince was on the floor on the outside. The War Zone going off the air!

Triple H def. A very good start to the show as I’m interested in a Vader/Shamrock feud as I hope Vader wins it. I don’t see Cactus winning the handicap match unless he gets some help. Looks a like a slow babyface turn for Martin. I’d prefer Martin to stay heel and turn RVD face instead. Figured there would be a DQ finish or something for the Vader/Shamrock match. Glad that Vader destroyed him to get some heat on him. Interesting to have Rock turn face here. I like it and hope you keep him face for awhile. I’d like to see a D’Lo/Rocky feud, actually. I didn’t take the Jarrett segment as him turning face, instead just getting rid of his manager. Please keep him heel. Figured that Jack would lose but the aftermath was entertaining. The second half really picked up as that seems to the trend for your shows. Quite interested in the Vader/Shamrock issues and interested in seeing where Rocky’s face run brings him.

-Speculations are that right now Vader versus Ken Shamrock and The Rock versus D-Lo Brown have been confirmed for Judgment Day: In Your House, but we are waiting for it to be confirmed by the WWF.
-Andrew Martin looks to be turning face, and the reason is because the WWF would like to see how Rob Van Dam will fair as a heel in a bigger role in 1999. Also, it seems like The Rock is a fully a face now after leaving The Nation of Domination this past Raw is WAR episode. Lastly, we can confirm Jeff Jarrett is still a heel.
-Speaking of Jeff, Tennessee Lee has been released from his contract.
-In some WCW news, it appears that Ric Flair and Ted DiBiase have been released from the company. The WWF has not spoke to them yet.

WWF @ East Lansing, MI - Breslin Arena – October 4, 1998 Sunday Night HeAT kicks off as we are greeted by Jim Ross and Shane McMahon. They hype up that tonight we will see Jeff Jarrett taking on the man that helped shave his hair, Faarooq, The Dudley Boyz meeting the team that will challenge them for the WWF Tag Team Titles at Judgment Day: In Your House, and The Rock taking on The Godfather! Faarooq makes his way out to the ring for our opening bout.
Jeff Jarrett def. Faarooq Jeff came out with new trunks and a guitar that said “Don’t **** Me Off!” on it. Jeff was finally able to put an end to this two month long feud with a guitar shot behind the ref’s back.
Backstage we see Billy Gunn and Sean Waltman talking about Road Dogg’s future, but Gunn leaves saying he’s got his match up next. Suddenly, when Gunn leaves the room, Mankind attacks Sean Waltman! He clobbers Waltman before locking in the Mandible Claw, causing Sean to fade out on the floor! Mankind tells him to have a nice day before leaving.
Break
A Judgment Day: In Your House ad plays, it’s live on Pay Per View October 18th!
Backstage we see Jacqueline with Marc Mero. She tells him she will make sure he starts to win some matches again, because she’s not going to let somebody like Sable set her man off track! Marc Mero tells her that everything is fine, but she says ever since he got beat by her at Summerslam, he hasn’t even won a match! Jacqueline tells him enough is enough, and she’s not going to see him fall back into a losing streak!
Billy Gunn def. Al Snow(w/Head) The crowd was behind Al Snow here, but Gunn put him away following the Fame-Ass-Er!
As Gunn walked up the ramp following his win, The Dudley Boyz walked down the stage with their titles, having a few brief words with Bad Ass Billy Gunn. D-Von takes a microphone and says they have been waiting all week, and they want to know who their opponents for Judgment Day are right now! Bubba takes the microphone, stutters, and says they proved at Breakdown they are here to stay, and they will take on any tag team in the back, and beat them all over the ring! As the tag team champions awaited their challengers, Commissioner Slaughter made his way out to the stage. Slaughter said that he picked up a team that has been impressive as of late, even defeating some of the top three tag teams in the WWF last week! Slaughter than introduced their openers, The Legion of Doom! The crowd popped for Hawk and Animal as they made their way out of the ring. They say they have been cheated out of those titles so many times by The Outlaws, they expect a clean fight with The Dudley Boyz! They also expect to walk out with the WWF Tag Team Championship, WHAT A RUSH! The teams shake hands as we go to a break.
Break
A video recaps Raw is War. It highlights the opening segment with Vince McMahon announcing the main event. It skips to the final match of the evening, where The Undertaker and Kane defeated Cactus Jack. This loss resulted in the firing of Cactus Jack. When Vince McMahon tried to fire him, Stone Cold drove out in a Zamboni! It shows Austin brawling with the brothers with some help from Cactus Jack. The video package ends with Austin and Foley standing in the ring, Foley looking upset about losing his job.
TAKA Michinoku & The Hardy Brothers def. Rey Mysterio & Too Much This match was full of odd pairings, but at least TAKA Michinoku was back on TV, right? Too Much wouldn’t even tag in Mysterio, but this lead to their downfall as Mysterio refused to help them after Michinoku hit Taylor with the Michinoku Driver.
After TAKA and The Hardy Brothers left the ring, Too Much got in the Light Heavyweight Champion’s face. They blamed him for the loss before taking him down with a double superkick. They did the double team attack on them until Scott nailed him with a Diving DDT. Christopher then picked him up and hit the Tennessee Jam before staff got them out of the ring to check on the fallen Light Heavyweight Champion.
Up next, The Rock takes on The Godfather!
Break
The Rock def. The Godfather(w/Three Women) The Rock put Godfather away with the Rock Bottom here tonight.
Following the match The Rock celebrated his win until, bam, D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry attacked The Rock from behind! Mark hit Rock with a huge splash before picking him up, only to drop him down with what Jim Ross called “The World’s Strongest Slam.” D-Lo then went to the top and hit the Lo-Down before grabbing a microphone. He got down in The Rock’s face and told him he’ll show him that The Nation does not need him when he beats him two weeks from now at Judgment Day: In Your House! Sunday Night HeAT goes off the air with D-Lo having a cocky smirk on his face.Sunday Night HeAT; 10/4/98 |

RAW is WAR; I've missed quite a bit of this, so bare with me. Love this McMahon alliance with Vader, Undertaker and Kane. Handicap Match sounds good, I hope Cactus Jack wins somehow. Good victory for Triple H here, hope you have big plans for him in the future. Pleased to see Rob Van Dam retain the Hardcore Championship, and Andrew Martin getting fed up is good, and I hope to see him turn on RVD soon. Val Venis with the victory is the right choice, I've always hoped to see him go somewhere, maybe you could do that. Ken Shamrock over Vader via DQ definitely adds fuel to the fire. The Dudley Boyz with a victory makes sense, and I hope their #1 Contenders are worthy, come HeAT. Glad that The Rock finally dropped his Nation allies, and now it's time for him to make his climb to the top. A good victory for Edge and Owen Hart, but I would love to see Gangrel as the European Champion. Wow, Cactus Jack is fired! Was hoping he'd win and stick around, but we'll see what you have planned. Overall, a good show. Going to try and get back into this.

I don't think I have ever replied to this, so bear with me as I have no clue what is going on here. RAW is WAR was a good show. Classic opening segment with Vince McMahon. The triple threat match at Judgment Day is going to be amazing. Cactus Jack vs. Kane and Taker will be a treat. Good opener, HHH getting the win was no surprise. Glad RVD retained the Hardcore belt, interesting stuff with Test and RVD, can't wait to see where that goes. Venis getting the win is cool, not much to comment on besides that. Once again another great promo by McMahon and his friends. Perfect booking for the Shamrock and Vader match. Vader getting DQ'd adds some heat to the feud. Happy with the Dudley Boyz getting the victory, hopefully you keep the belts on them for awhile. Good move to split The Rock from the NOD, they are just holding him back at this point. Awesome ending to RAW, I could see Foley returning as Dude Love or Mankind. Classic Vince/Stone Cold stuff. The first three matches for JD look good, and from what I've read so far, I'm loving this. I'll give this more looks now that I know how awesome it is.

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 28th September 1998...Mr McMahon and Vader coming to the ring was pretty cool, wondering how long Vader will be relevant for. Nice promo on Ken Shamrock, and I'm looking forward to their match later tonight. Stone Cold Steve Austin being banned from the arena...surely we'll get some segments from Austin trying to enter the Joe Louis Arena. Cactus Jack's semi-shoot was pretty cool, like the biased odds of Undertaker and Kane facing Jack in a handicap match for Mick Foley's job. Triple H beating Faarooq is fine, didn't do a lot though. Good opportunity for Bradshaw, but it was obvious that Rob Van Dam would retain the WWF Hardcore Championship. I hope you do something with Bradshaw though. Perhaps form the Acolytes? All their reason for forming could be around not getting pushed and being pissed off about it. Val Venis defeating Dustin Runnels isn't bad, not a bad match I don't think. Ken Shamrock beating Vader by disqualification was an interesting one, did like Vader destroying Shamrock though. Ultimate domination from the Corporate heads. The origins of the Corporation per say? The Dudley Boyz beating the Nation members was fine. The Rock being unimpressed was pretty cool. End of the Nation coming up I bet. Rock attacking all three of the Nation, I'm not sure about it. Two of those guys he took out were over three hundred pounds. Surely the numbers advantage would have taken Rock out. And given the former Nation undercarders credibility (which they still lack). Hope to see D-Lo Brown, the Godfather (not as much) and Mark Henry develop their characters. Edge and Owen Hart is an interesting team. Good win against Marc Mero and Gangrel. Owen and Mero feuding doesn't interest me at all though. Jeff Jarrett turning on Tennesse Lee...interesting. The Undertaker and Kane were obviously going to win. Wonder how you follow this up, did like Steve Austin appearing at the end. Overall, decent show, disliked the lack of Stone Cold segments though, that alone would have hurt the ratings a little. Sure, his appearance at the end was nice, should have featured some recurring skits throughout the show of Austin trying to get in the arena though.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 4th October 1998...Jeff Jarrett beating Faarooq was fine. More the reason why the Acolytes should start forming soon. Mankind appearing instead of Cactus Jack was the right call, happy to see Mankind finally appear. Strange that he took out D-Generation X though. Sean Waltman isn't being pushed too well, I'll admit. Billy Gunn beating Al Snow was likely. LOD 2000 facing the Dudley Boyz could be good, or craptacular at best. Strange promo from Commissioner Slaughter though. Since both LOD and the Dudleys are faces, I expect the New Age Outlaws to get involved in the match at Judgment Day. TAKA Michinoku and the Hardy Boys? Great combination. Didn't like Rey Mysterio randomly being paired with Too Much, liked Too Much's antics however. Very Attitude like. The Rock beating the Godfather was a nice main event, did like D-Lo Brown calling Rock out to Judgment Day, though it is very likely that Rock will win unless D-Lo suddenly gets a great persona going in the next two weeks. Not too bad an episode.
