Yeah! Corporate! Great opening with the Corporation laying down the blue prints for tonight's show. Oh hell no! Don't take that sh*t, Vader! Or I guess he has to since his ankle is crushed. A bit of a weird opening contest, I believe. A good win for Regal, hope you take him places in this diary. Jericho's promo was nice, as was the assault on Owen. Good victory for Edge over Waltman. Brood incoming? Decent bout with the Godfather and new European Champion, D-Lo Brown. Andrew Martin making the save is fine. I'd like to see big things from him in '99. Solid win in dirty fashion for Jeff Jarrett. Very entertaining segment with Intercontinental Champion Triple H and Val Venis. Their feud is something to look forward to, even though I can't see Val being on top in it (damn puns). Fantastic win for the Rock over Rob Van Dam. Rock is already a good favorite in the Rumble. Good, simple win for the new WWF Tag Team Champions in Hell's Henchmen, or the Acolytes now. Dudleyz aren't regaining the gold, I'm sure. A decent segment for the new Women's Champion, Sable. Sunny and Ivory making the save is fine, though it definitely makes things un-even for the heels. Austin creeping backstage? Good title defense for Brian Cristopher, and delighted to see Too Much back in unison. This team, or trio if you plan to later on introduce Rikishi, could blossom in the upcoming year. Lastly, good chaotic main event. 'Taker standing tall as Austin made chase for Vince is an awesome scene to close the show. Good RAW (is Corporate).

WWF @ Tacoma, WA - Tacoma Dome - December 20, 1998 After the HeAT opening video finishes the pyrotechnics take off as we are greeted by Jim Ross and Michael Cole. They hype up an exciting night of action tonight as the Hardcore Championship will be on the line when Al Snow defends against the former champion, Andrew Martin. They talk about our other matches; including the Hardy Brothers versus Southern Supremacy; In Light Heavyweight Action Christian takes on Scorpio; and in our main event Val Venis take on Billy Gunn of D-Generation X. Plus the WWF Champion, the Undertaker, is scheduled to appear! The theme song of Andrew Martin hits to a pop from the crowd.
Hardcore Championship: Al Snow(w/Jackyl and Head) def. Andrew Martin: Martin may have been closing in on a victory here, but a distraction from Mark Henry allowed Al to hit him with Head and retain.
The crowd booed as the Jackyl handed Al Snow the Hardcore Championship. “The World’s Strongest Man” was satisfied with the outcome before heading to the back. As Henry left the cameras went back to the ring as the Jackyl ordered Snow to do something not picked up by the camera. Snow walked back over to Martin and started delivering the boots to the mid section! Al continued the assault until Steve Blackman ran out with a Kendo Stick! Steve swung the weapon as Hell’s Henchmen bailed from the ring. Jackyl nodded in what seemed like approval, providing more confusion for Blackman!
Break
A recap of RAW is CORPORATE is shown. It starts off with the Corporation kicking off the show in the ring. As the promo ends, Vince orders the stable to attack Vader! A vicious assault is led as Big Show shatters Vader’s ankle with a steel chair. The video changes pace as it quickly recaps the segments with Mr. McMahon finding Stone Cold’s truck in the parking lot as well as finding multiple Corporation members laid out backstage, assumingly by the “Rattlesnake” himself. The video ends with the main event as the Big Show and Kane squared off in a Number One Contenders match with DX and police at ringside. Steve Austin makes his way out and gets the match thrown out by assaulting both superstars with a chair, only to be outnumbered by DX. DX continue to assault Stone Cold until the Undertaker makes the unlikely save! The WWF Champion clears house, only to take a Stunner! The video ends as Austin chases Vince out of the arena.
Michael Cole announces that Mr. McMahon wants to punish both the Rock and the Undertaker for their actions last week, so they will take on Kane and the Big Show in tomorrow’s main event! A graphic appears to hype the match before we head to our next match.
The Hardy Brothers def. Southern Supremacy(w/Jim Cornette): Both of these teams have fallen into a deep slump, but the Hardys took a surprising win after Jeff rolled Bart up for the three!
Southern Supremacy is in shock as the Hardy Brothers celebrate on the outside. The crowd cheers as Jim Cornette argues with the referee.
Up next we will hear from the WWF Champion, the Undertaker!
Break
As Sunday Night HeAT returns the WWF Champion, the Undertaker, makes his way out to a mixed reaction; looking less than happy. Undertaker says recently a civil war has been ignited in the WWF between Vince McMahon’s Corporation and the rebels of the WWF. ‘Taker says he has remained indifferent throughout the entire time because his one focus is the WWF Championship. It doesn’t matter if you’re with Vince or Steve Austin, not a single man on this earth can take the title away from “the Phenom.” Undertaker says the Royal Rumble is in a matter of weeks, and he guarantees the winner of that match will be going on to WrestleMania to face him. The crowd gives off a mixed reaction as ’Taker talks about how thirty souls will compete for a date with destiny, but in the end they will end up with a date with the devil! He says anyone in the back can win the Royal Rumble, but he will be walking in AND out of WrestleMania with the World Wrestling Federation Championship. He shifts gears, bringing up one man; Stone Cold Steve Austin. He says he hopes Austin is rehired one way or another, because they have some unfinished business. He warns Stone Cold if he shows up to the arena once again tomorrow night on RAW, he doesn’t need to worry about the Corporation. He doesn’t need to worry about Mr. McMahon, the Big Show, or even police. He needs to worry about one man - the Undertaker. The champion drops the microphone and heads out of the ring, having laid out a strong warning to Austin as HeAT goes to a break.
Break
Back from the break, we are greeted by Jim Ross and Michael Cole. They can confirm we’ll be getting a medical update on Vader tomorrow night on RAW is CORPORATE. They then send things backstage to Kevin Kelly who is standing by with Val Venis. Kelly asks Venis if he can get his thoughts on both the Intercontinental Championship situation and his match with Billy Gunn tonight. Val says tonight he is going to go out and beat Billy Gunn just as a message for DX. He says he was screwed in a different kind of way Sunday night, but none of that really matters. He's got a master plan to get another shot at that Intercontinental Championship. Venis smirks before walking off, what is he talking about?
Christian(w/Gangrel) def. Scorpio: In some thrilling Light Heavyweight action that showcased the lesser known sided of the division, Christian took the win after Gangrel smacked Scorpio with his goblet behind the referee’s back!
Christian and Gangrel stood tall over Scorpio to jeers from the fans. Suddenly the theme of Edge hit to a pop from the crowd, the mysterious superstar making his way out from the crowd. He slips in the ring and confronts his brother and Gangrel. Gangrel tells Edge he’ll get a yes out of him sooner or later before the pair leaves.
Up next “the Big Valbowski” Val Venis faces “Mr. Bad Ass” Billy Gunn in our Sunday Night HeAT main event!
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion.
Val Venis def. Billy Gunn(w/Road Dogg): The feud between Val Venis and D-Generation X over the Intercontinental Championship continued here despite the crowd warming up to the charismatic Outlaws. Venis picked up the win after taking down Road Dogg and hitting the Money Shot.
The fans in attendance popped as Val was pronounced the winner. “The Big Valbowski” celebrated his victory on the middle turnbuckle posed for the ladies. The rookie certainly picking up some steam for his Intercontinental Championship hunt as HeAT goes off the air!

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 14th December 1998...Alright, nearing 1999, and on the road to the Royal Rumble. Let's go! Shane McMahon kicking off the show to introduce his father and the Corporation. Good call to have Vince big up the Corporation's members after Armageddon: In Your House last night. Wow, good way to get Vader out of the faction and kill him off, interesting to have the show turn Corporate, too. Steven Regal with a good win against Owen Hart, solid choice for the opening contest. I also liked Chris Jericho getting in the ring and presenting us with his character, but I think it could have been done in a better way, like a promo of his own, later in the show or something. Edge beating Sean Waltman was unexpected, gives Edge some nice leverage and momentum against D-Generation X. The Brood slowly forming, nice. The Godfather beating D-Lo Brown by disqualification was an interesting call, D-Lo needs a legitimate win after just winning the WWF European Championship last night, via a fluke, at that. Mark Henry's involvement was pretty cool nonetheless. Andrew Martin made the save? Odd call there. This storyline isn't quite grasping my attention. Jeff Jarrett beating Ken Shamrock was big, and solidified Jarrett's position in the Corporation by doing what Vader couldn't. Shamrock will surely get retribution. Triple H mocking Val Venis was vintage Attitude Era, I liked the way it was done and it intensifies their feud. Rob Van Dam and the Rock's promo came off as something that would lead to the match being announced, rather than a pre-match promo honestly. The Rock winning was fairly obvious, too. Wow, I guess Stone Cold Steve Austin is back. Hell's Henchmen being renamed was the right decision to make; the Acolytes beating the Headbangers was a way to advance their characters as WWF Tag Team Champions. Sable & Jacqueline and Luna Vachon was a T&A segment, didn't achieve much for anyone in it, except from the fans enjoying Sable's nudity. Brian Christopher beating Scott Taylor was cool, but the crowd would obviously not be into it. Strikes me as more of a match that would be on Sunday Night HeAT, really. It's great to see them following their characters that after facing each other for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, they still embrace in a nice gay hug as Too Much. Lastly, unattractive main event with Kane and the Big Show, and I'm glad Stone Cold Steve Austin finally appeared to bring an end to the Corporation's episode of RAW. I enjoyed the show, but like you said maybe one too many brawls. Although you are reaching the Royal Rumble.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 20th December 1998...Al Snow beating Andrew Martin was a fine opening contest, the WWF Hardcore Championship at stake. Chaos after the match, but not a lot to note on. You referred to the Acolytes as "Hell's Henchmen" again, oops. Good unexpected win for the relatively new Hardy Boys against Southern Supremacy. The Undertaker's promo was good, summing up Stone Cold Steve Austin. Interested in where this is going headed into RAW is WAR tomorrow night. Christian beating Scorpio was fine, not a lot to say. And lastly, Val Venis beating Billy Gunn was a decent main event for HeAT, I'm hoping Val pulls off the big upset to claim the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Another decent show, improved for HeAT.

WWF @ Spokane, WA - Spokane Arena - December 21, 1998 RAW is WAR is opened by a video package of last week.
As we go to live the broadcast, chaos has already ensured as Stone Cold has taken an injured Shane McMahon as hostage backstage! Austin looks into the camera and says “Vince I want to make a deal with you, and if you don’t want to deal with me - I am going to open up the biggest can of whoop ass on your son! Oh hell yeah!”
Back in the arena Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler don’t know how to react. Lawler says Stone Cold is really in for it now because he saw cops all over the place tonight! Jim Ross turns his attention to hyping tonight’s show as Mr. McMahon wants to punish Rock and Undertaker by making them team up in tonight’s main event against Big Show and Kane. They hype up a few more matches, including the Acolytes defending the tag titles against the Dudleyz; Ken Shamrock facing Jeff Jarrett in a rematch from last week; and Val Venis versus Sean Waltman.
The theme of the Rock hits to a huge ovation from the crowd. “The People’s Champ” makes his way out to the ring and grabs a microphone. Rock talks about how tonight he is forced to team up with one of his biggest rivals: the Undertaker. Before Rock can say anymore, he is interrupted by the theme of the champion himself! Undertaker makes his way out, but before he can even speak, the Rock tells him to shut his mouth! ’Taker is pissed as Rock asks who does he think he is by interrupting him after all he’s done to both him and his friend Mick Foley? Undertaker tells Rock he’s in no mood for him tonight after what happened last week, he just wants to make one thing clear. He wants him to stay out of his way tonight in the main event. Rock tells Undertaker he needs to know his role because there is no chance in hell that you can interrupt “the Great One” while he was speaking and tell him what to do! Rock goes on to say he is not intimidated by him at all; “in fact, if he wasn’t teaming up with you tonight the Rock would whoop your candy undead ass all over this arena just like he did two weeks ago! The fact is the Rock doesn’t want your help and the Rock doesn‘t need your help. So you can stay out of the Rock‘s way while he does what he does best and lay the Smackdown on the Corporation‘s ass!” The Undertaker warns Rock that unfortunately for him he doesn’t give a damn that he is his tag team partner for tonight and throws a right! The two tag partners start brawling until the Undertaker finally gets the upper hand, hitting a Chokeslam! ’Taker stands tall over Rock with the WWF Champions as RAW is WAR heads to a break.
Break
Returning from the break a replay is shown of the Undertaker chokeslaming, his tag partner for tonight, the Rock.
Backstage Mr. McMahon is shown distraught about his son Shane in the Corporation’s locker room. Big Show asks him if he wants him to take care of Austin, but Vince tells him he has a different plan. We go back to the arena as the Dudley Boyz make their entrances.
WWF Tag Team Championships: The Dudley Boyz def. The Acolytes(w/Jackyl) VIA DQ: The Dudleyz may have been closing in on a victory here tonight, but after the Jackyl interfered to prevent the Dudley Death Drop, the ref had to call for the bell.
The crowd booed as the Acolytes left the ring. D-Von came to the aid of Bubba, who was just hit by a low blow from the Jackyl. Faarooq and Bradshaw stood on the ramp with the tag team championships whilst D-Von tended to his brother.

Break
TAKA Michinoku is already in the ring as Chris Jericho makes his way out to a chorus of boos from the audience. He takes a microphone and he informs everybody they are in for a treat tonight because Chris Jericho will be making his debut on RAW is WAR up next! He tells everyone to watch this match very closely because it will be history in the making! Jericho says Owen Hart and the World Wrestling Federation is now dealing with the “Y2J” problem, but it has arrived to save it from itself! Jericho promises to revolutionize this entire company and all starts with Owen Hart. He says he is going to rid the WWF of Owen Hart for good and challenges him to a match next week on RAW is WAR! Jericho drops the microphone and enters the ring, the ref calling for the bell.
Chris Jericho def. TAKA Michinoku: “Y2J” had a great debut here as he forced the former Light Heavyweight Champion to tap out to what was called the “Walls of Jericho.”
The crowd booed as Jericho celebrated his victory, will Owen Hart accept his challenge for next week?
We once again head to the back where Stone Cold is holding Shane hostage in a unknown location. Shane has duct tape across his mouth and is tied to a chair. Austin looks into the camera and calls Vince lucky that he got away last week, but unluckily for Shane he did not. He adds on saying we’re about thirty minutes into the show and he’s getting pretty damn tired of waiting. He says he wants Vince to be out in that ring by the end of the show, willing to make a deal with ol’ Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin says he noticed the police officers earlier, but quite frankly he doesn’t give a damn, because nothing is going to stop him from getting what he wants and that’s the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!
Break
As RAW is WAR returns Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler talk about the Stone Cold/Shane McMahon hostage situation before we are taken to a replay of last week’s RAW is WAR with Andrew Martin saving the Godfather from D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry.
Backstage Godfather and Andrew Martin are shown getting ready for their match. Godfather tells Martin he has a special present for him….. Two of his Hos! Martin smirks as both superstars make their way out to the ring, one ho on each arm.
European Champion D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry def. The Godfather and Andrew Martin(w/Hos): D-Lo Brown took Martin out with the Lo Down following the World’s Strongest Slam.
The European Champion celebrated his win with his partner as Godfather helped Martin out of the ring. The crowd booed as D-Lo gloated about his championship to his former Nation stable mate.
As D-Lo Brown is celebrating his win Mr. McMahon comes to the stage with the Big Show and police officers. McMahon says Stone Cold has called him out, but no one calls out Vince McMahon! He tells Austin that he is calling him out to the middle of the ring at the end of the show, and he better bring his son out. Vince warns Austin that he has gone too far this time and he doesn’t need to give into his demands. Vince goes on to say if he doesn’t comply with his demands, then he will be riding out of the arena in a police car! The Corporations leaves to boos from the crowd.
Up next Ken Shamrock and Jeff Jarrett meet in a rematch from last week!
Break
Back from the break Jeff Jarrett is making his way out to the ring. Jarrett says not only did Stone Cold piss him off by kidnapping his good friend Shane McMahon, he pissed off the big guy: Mr. McMahon! Jarrett assures everyone Stone Cold will pay for his actions, but “Double J” has something else on his mind. The Royal Rumble match! Jarrett says that jabroni Rock is out of his mind if he actually thinks he is going to win the match, because he can now confirm he’ll be in the Royal Rumble! The crowd boos as Jarrett says he’ll prove why he’s going to win the Rumble when he beats Ken Shamrock for the SECOND week in a row up next!
Ken Shamrock def. Jeff Jarrett VIA DQ: Shamrock was trying to put Jarrett in the Ankle Lock, but Jeff crawled to the corner and picked up his guitar before smashing Shamrock in the head with it!
The crowd booed, but Jarrett wasn’t finished yet. Jeff locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock as the referee tries to get him off. Jarrett is relentless, but suddenly Shamrock turns it around and locks in the Ankle Lock! The crowd pops as Ken Shamrock continues to crank up the pressure. Jarrett taps out as Ken finally lets go of the hold. Shamrock celebrates on the middle turnbuckle as Jarrett rolls out of the ring in pain.
We are taken back to where Austin is holding Shane McMahon hostage. Austin says it looks like Vince isn’t looking to make a deal with him, so now it’s time to go to plan B! Stone Cold reaches down into his pocket, and he pulls out a gun! Austin’s got a gun! Shane’s eyes grow wide as Stone Cold tells Vince he’ll let him think over his decision a little longer, but he’s only got an hour left!
Break
Exclusive footage of Mr. McMahon’s reaction to Austin having a gun is show as Vince screams: “He’s got a gun! That son of a bitch has a gun and my son!” Vince looks deeply concerned as he yells at the cops to go find them. Back live Jerry Lawler calls Stone Cold a maniac and he should be arrested on the spot! Jim Ross then hypes up the rest of our broadcast for the final hour. Val Venis takes on Sean Waltman; We’ll get a medical update on Vader; Kane and the Big Show team up to face the Rock and the Undertaker; and Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon will meet in the ring at the end of the show!
Val Venis def. Sean Waltman(w/Triple H & Chyna): Venis continued the massive roll he’s been on over D-Generation X after taking the win with a roll up!
D-Generation X were in shock as the rookie as has once again gotten the victory. Waltman flipped as Venis went to the outside and grabbed a microphone. He looked towards the Intercontinental Champion and Chyna before saying he has an offer. He tells Chyna he wants her to convince Triple H to give him another Intercontinental Championship match, or he’ll tell the entire world their secret next week! The crowd pops as Val says he’ll give her a week to answer before heading to the back, what is he talking about?
Still to come tonight: Corporation’s Big Show and Kane take on the Rock and WWF Champion the Undertaker!
Break
As we return from the commercials we are greeted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. They recap the brutal assault from the Corporation to Vader at the top of last week’s broadcast as the Big Show wrapped a chair around his ankle and smashed it. A replay of the incident is shown before they turn it over to Michael Cole who has an update on Vader. Cole confirms that Vader indeed suffered a broken ankle as a result of last week’s attack, and he will be out of action for at least eight to ten weeks. JR thanks Cole for the update before reiterating the fact Vader will be out for eight to ten weeks. Following the update Steve Blackman’s theme hits to a pop from the crowd.
Steven Regal def. Steve Blackman: Regal picked up another shady win with the Knee Trembler after the Jackyl distracted Blackman from the stage with a sinister smile.
The crowd booed as Regal celebrated his ring. Regal grabbed a microphone and proclaimed himself to be the “King” and “Lord” of the WWF, so it’s only fitting that he will win the Royal Rumble. Regal left to the backstage area as Blackman finally got back up in the ring. The Jackyl remained on the stage as Blackman turned his attention to him, shouting “WHAT DO YOU WANT?” Jackyl turned him to just turn around, and when Steve did he got blasted by Head from Al Snow! The crowd booed as Al picked Blackman up and hit the Snow Plow, the Hardcore Champion quickly leaving the scene.
In D-Generation X’s locker room we see the Intercontinental Champion, Triple H, and Sean Waltman questioning Chyna about her secret with Val Venis. She refuses to say anything, but Hunter demands to know because he’s tired of Val. Both they can get an answer the New Age Outlaws walk into the room, Jesse James saying they wanted to talk about the Corporation. Gunn said they feel like they just can’t trust Mr. McMahon and the rest of his goons. Triple H tells them he’s worked out a deal with McMahon, saying if they protect him they’ll protect us. The Outlaws still don’t like convinced as RAW is War heads to a break.
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion.
As Ivory makes her way to the ring, a replay is shown from RAW is CORPORATE last week with Ivory and Sunny saving Sable from an assault by Luna Vachon and Jacqueline.
Non-title; WWF Woman’s Champion Sable def. Ivory: In a friendly competition tonight, the Woman’s Champion picked up a big win with the Sable Bomb.
Following the match Sable is handed her Woman’s Championship and she raises it to a pop from the crowd. She helps Ivory up to her feet and raises her arm. Sable grabs a microphone and says she has some unfinished business from last week, so she’s calling out both Jacqueline and Luna Vachon! Jacqueline’s theme hits to jeers from the crowd, she stops on the ramp with a microphone, but before she can say a word Sable wants her to come down to the ring. Jacqueline says they’re perfectly fine up here before saying her and Luna have two goals. The first one is to take the title from her, and then take her out of the WWF for good! Luna takes the microphone and tells Ivory if her and Sunny want to get involved in their business again, they can expect the same fate! Ivory laughs and tells the two women to prove it and they challenge them to a tag match next week on RAW is WAR. Luna and Jacqueline accept as all the women look satisfied!
Coming up next Kane and the Big Show battle the Rock and WWF Champion Undertaker in our main event!
Break
Before our main event begins Kevin Kelly catches up with Owen Hart backstage. Kevin asks Owen if he accepts Jericho’s challenge to a match next week on RAW is WAR. Owen looks Kevin dead in the eyes and says “Of course I accept. Chris Jericho has no idea what he started. Next week I’ll solve the ‘Y2J’ problem with the Sharpshooter.” Owen walks off as we go back live to the arena.
A quick replay is shown of the Undertaker chokeslaming the Rock at the top of tonight’s show as the Corporation make their entrance.
Kane and the Big Show def. The Rock and WWF Champion the Undertaker: Rock and ‘Taker just couldn’t get along here tonight and the champ finally walked out on his partner. The Corporation capitalized on it as Kane took Rock down with a Chokeslam.
The Rock’s momentum ran into a brick wall tonight as Kane and the Big Show stood tall in the ring. The crowd hissed at the Corporation as they celebrated the victory, Kane setting off his fire from the corner posts. Clearly the Rock and Mankind’s feud with the Undertaker is far from over!
We are once again taken to Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin holds his gun up and says: “Alright Vince time is up. I’m going to drop this piece of crap you call a son out to the ring, and you better meet me there you sorry son of a bitch.” Austin unties Shane from the chair before tying his hands back up and forcing him out of the room. This all comes to a conclusion up next!
Break
Returning from the final break of the night, Steve Austin comes from the side of the stage with Shane and the gun. He forces Shane up the stage and eventually into the ring. Shane is on his knees as Austin grabs a microphone. Austin says before they go any further he wants to make sure it’s just Vince McMahon who comes out to the ring. Not the Big Show, not Kane, not RVD, not Jeff Jarrett, and not any other corporate piece of crap. A minute goes by and there’s still no sign of Vince, Austin saying he’s getting impatient! Mr. McMahon finally comes out to the stage, but with five police officers behind him. Stone Cold tells him to stop right there. He says to leave the cops up on the stage, because if he really had the grape fruits he claimed to have he’d face him man to man in this ring. Vince complies and heads down to the ring alone. Mr. McMahon asks Austin to put the gun away and he’ll listen to whatever he wants. Stone Cold shakes his head no and tells him he’s not putting it away until they make a deal. Vince asks him what is it he wants, and Austin says he wants three things. “First thing, I want that piece of crap called ‘the Big Show’ in this very ring. Second of all I want you to give me another contract - a very lucrative contract. Thirdly I want a spot in the thirty man Royal Rumble match so I can once again go onto WrestleMania and take back my World Wrestling Federation Championship.” The crowd pops as Mr. McMahon tells Austin he’s insane and he refuses to deal with a mad man! Stone Cold smirks and points the gun at Vince! Vince drops down to his knees and as the cops try to advance, Austin tells them if they move another inch he’ll pull the trigger! That phrase actually cause Vince to wet himself! The crowd laughs as Vince tells Austin he won’t press any charges and he’ll give him a match next week with the Big Show, and if he wins he’ll get his job back and a spot in the Royal Rumble! The crowd pops as Austin tells Vince to pick himself back up. Mr. McMahon shaking as Austin points the gun back at his head and saying he has one thing left. He pulls the trigger, only for a flag to pop out saying “BANG 3:16!” The McMahons can’t believe it and Austin says "McMahon 3:16 says I just pissed my pants"; then hitting the Stunner on Vince! The crowd goes insane as Stone Cold takes two beers from the outside and drinks them on the turnbuckle, an eventful RAW is WAR going off the air.

Good opening contest to HeAT for the Hardcore Championship. Would've been a fun match, and glad to see Al Snow retain. Loving him in Hell's Henchmen. The involvement from Mark Henry is fine to further advance his feud with Martin. Blackman's not a real person! He can't make the save! Good victory for the Hardy Brothers. Another duo I'd like to see shine in '99. Rock and Taker vs. Kane and Show sounds like a damn fine main event for RAW is WAR tomorrow. Good promo from the Undertaker. Straight to the point that his focus is the World Wrestling Federation title and he's not taking any sh*t. Though I'm intrigued by the mentions of Steve Austin. Fine win for Christian. Seems like only a matter of time before we see the Brood finally come together. Lastly, good main event victory for Val Venis. As much as I love Helmsley in this diary, I certainly won't be upset if Venis captures the Intercontinental Championship from him. A solid edition of HeAT. Oh wow, you posted RAW as I was typing the HeAT reply. it, I'll go. Good start right off the bat with Austin taking Shane hostage. Certainly looking forward to seeing how that progresses throughout the show. Rock and 'Taker's confrontation was fine. The tension between the show will definitely show in the main event, I would imagine. Great opening bout for the WWF Tag Team Championships. I figured the Dudleyz wouldn't be leaving with the gold, but the DQ finish with the Jackyl certainly leaves the door open for a gimmick rematch down the line. Solid debut victory for Chris Jericho. Interested in seeing what happens with Owen Hart next week. Poor silver spoon. Solid tag match here, as was the victory for European Champion D-Lo and Mark Henry. Oh well, Martin has two hos anyways. Another DQ finish? Well in your defense, it is the Attitude Era. Nice post-match stuff with the Figure Four into the Ankle Lock. Austin's got a gun! Make boy wonder piss himself! Good win for Val Venis. He's certainly on a roll. A secret? Did Chyna start her new career early? I can live without Vader for a few weeks. Yeah! Regal win another win! The Snow/Blackman feud continuing is nice. Decent win for the Women's Champion Sable here. Confirmation for the Jericho/Owen match next week. Nice. As expected, Rock and 'Taker just couldn't work as a cohesive unit. I would call the Rock as the Rumble winner, but I would hope you have something else in the works. And finally great segment to close out the show with the classic "Pissed my pants" segment. A good RAW is WAR overall.

The theme song of Too Much, Light Heavyweight Champion Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor, hits to boos from the crowd as the duo make their way out to the ringside area.
Number One Contenders Match: Scorpio def. Rey Mysterio, Christian, and Scott Taylor: In a shocking victory, Scorpio took Taylor down with a 450 splash!
Brian Christopher’s jaw dropped as Scorpio had gotten his first win in months, and now he’s number one contender for the Light Heavyweight Championship! Christopher helped Taylor out of the ring as Scorpio was busy celebrating his victory in the ring. Too Much hopped and the apron and it seemed like they were going to attack the number one contender, but Mysterio helped Scorpio take them down with a pair of dropkicks! The crowd cheered as Mysterio shook Scorpio’s hand, much respect shown between these two Light Heavyweights.
In our main event tonight the Intercontinental Champion, Triple H, takes on Edge!
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion.
Back from the commercial break Agulia was already in the ring, making his first appearance in months. The theme of Rob Van Dam hit to jeers as Van Dam made his way out with a microphone. He said last week the Rock may have been able to get a lucky win over the “Whole F’N Show,” but it doesn’t change the fact that he will make the Corporation proud when he wins the Royal Rumble. Van Dam pointed at Agulia and told him he didn’t belong on “his” show. He made his final point saying he was going to make quick work of Agulia, and prove why he’s not just “Mr. Monday Night” - but “Mr. Sunday Night” too!
Rob Van Dam def. Agulia: In a quick paced contest, Van Dam livid up to his promise by taking Agulia out with a Five Start Frogsplash.
The crowd booed as Van Dam celebrated his victory, the Corporation member getting some momentum back on his side as he goes on to the Royal Rumble next month.
We go to a prerecorded interview with Kevin Kelly and the Big Show. Kevin Kelly asks the Big Show about the whole situation with Stone Cold and the McMahons as well as his match with Austin tomorrow night on RAW is WAR. Big Show says what Austin did on Monday was an absolute disgrace and proves what kind of man he is. Show says he made a mockery of the McMahon name and for his actions on RAW is WAR he should be locked up. He smirks and says: “Not locked up in a jail cell, but rather a steel cage with no one else but me!” Kevin looks surprised and asks Big Show if his match with Austin tomorrow night will be a cage. Show tells him Vince just made it official earlier on today, and he promises that Austin will not only be walking out with no contract, but he won’t he be walking out in the first place! The segment ends as Kevin Kelly thanks Show for his time, the Corporation member looking focused.
Break
A graphic is shown, hyping up the match between Steve Austin and the Big Show tomorrow night on RAW is WAR for Austin’s job and a spot in the Royal Rumble will be a steel cage match! Another graphic hypes up that Mr. McMahon will have a new number one contender for the Undertaker’s WWF Championship.
The theme song of the New Age Outlaws hits to a pop as Jesse James and Billy Gunn hit the ring. Road Dogg takes the microphone and introduces themselves to another pop from the fans. Road Dogg says for the past few months now ever since they lost the WWF Tag Team Championships to the Dudley Boyz they’ve been overlooked! James says they are the greatest tag team of the WORLD as Gunn chimes in, saying they deserve more air time than the D-D-D-Dudley Boyz and the gothic freaks combined! Road Dogg addresses the Corporation, saying Mr. McMahon promised things would changed if DX backed him up. He says they did just that, but two weeks later and nothing has changed. He guarantees that it will change and the New Age Outlaws will be the WWF Tag Team Champions again, but before he can finish D-Generation X’s theme hits. Intercontinental Champion Triple H, Sean Waltman, and Chyna make their way out to the ring as Hunter has a microphone. Triple H tells Road Dogg the Outlaws haven’t quite grasped the concept yet. He says this is a process that takes time, but eventually all will be revolved. He assures them if they help keep Austin out of the WWF for good, then the Intercontinental, tag team, and anything else they want will be safe in the hands of D-Generation X. Gunn snaps at Triple H, saying they’ve been waiting two damn months for things to change, and they’ve gotten tired of waiting! Jesse James speaks again, telling Hunter they want nothing to do with Vince’s Corporation and all their goons. He tells him it’s got to be or the other. D-Generation X or the Corporation. The champion responds by saying him, Sean, and Chyna are going to work with Vince - and if they’re not down with that they got two words for them. He drops the microphone and leaves with Waltman and Chyna, leaving the Outlaws in the ring.
Break
A video is shown, highlighting the events of RAW is WAR. This week it solely focuses on the Stone Cold and Shane McMahon hostage situation. It starts off by showing they back and forth segments between Austin and Vince with both sides refusing to negotiate. The video skips right to the part where Austin pulls out his gun and then Mr. McMahon’s reaction. The package finally reaches to the point where Austin drags Shane down to the ring with the gun. Vince makes his way out with police, but “the Rattlesnake” threatens to shoot if Vince doesn’t make his way to the ring by himself. Vince complies and Austin lists his demands: “First thing, I want that piece of crap called ‘the Big Show’ in this very ring. Second of all I want you to give me another contract - a very lucrative contract. Thirdly I want a spot in the thirty man Royal Rumble match so I can once again go onto WrestleMania and take back my World Wrestling Federation Championship.” Vince refuses, so Austin points the gun at him, and Vince wets himself! McMahon quickly gives Steve what he wants. Austin smirks and shoots the gun, only for a flag saying “BANG 3:16” to shoot out. Austin stuns Vince and celebrates to close the video.
A replay from Sunday Night HeAT last week is shown with the Hardy Boyz getting a surprise win over Southern Supremacy.
The Hardy Brothers def. Southern Supremacy(w/Jim Cornette): The Jim Cornette team insisted on a rematch, but they came up short again as the Hardys kept pulling off high flying maneuvers and Jeff finished Bob off with a senton bomb off the top.
The Hardys celebrated another win over Southern Supremacy, Cornette livid on the outside. The crowd warming up to the Hardys as they put an end to the 1998 year.
Up next our main event takes place as Edge faces off with Intercontinental Champion, Triple H.
Break
A replay of the D-Generation X segment end is shown before Edge makes his way to the ring.
Non-title; Intercontinental Champion Triple H(w/Chyna) def. Edge: Gangrel came out to help Edge, but he only provided a distraction to the referee that allowed “the Game” to hit Edge with a low blow and finish him with the Pedigree.
The arena was filled with boos Triple H celebrated his victory with the Intercontinental Championship. Edge rolled to the outside, and when he was finally able to shake off the affects of the Pedigree, he confronted Gangrel. Edge was ticked as he yelled at Gangrel, saying he told him he didn’t want or need his help. Gangrel remains silent as Edge pushed him to the ground and walked off. Sunday Night HeAT going off the air as Triple H stood on the top rope, victorious.

WWF @ Albany, NY - Pepsi Arena - December 28, 1998 A video is shown to kick off RAW is WAR, highlighting last week‘s show.
The pyro takes off as we are greeted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler to the FINAL show of 1998! They hype up a massive show to close out the year as Mr. McMahon will name the new number one contender for the WWF Championship; Chris Jericho takes on Owen Hart; Ken Shamrock and the Rock team up against the Corporation’s Jeff Jarrett and Kane; Val Venis threatens to reveal his secret with Chyna if DX doesn’t give him another Intercontinental Championship match; and in our main event Stone Cold and Big Show clash in a steel cage for Austin’s job!
Mr. McMahon comes out to the stage , clearly upset about last week’s events. McMahon says last week Austin humiliated him in that ring, but he knows the Big Show will wipe the floor with him tonight so he is not out here for that. He says next week they are going to kick off the new year as the Undertaker will be defending his WWF Championship in the main event! Vince adds on saying the Royal Rumble is just under a month away, so tonight they are going to see a preview. A ten man “corporate” rumble will be held up next and the winner of the match will face the Undertaker next week on RAW is WAR! The crowd pops, but they soon turn to jeers as the Intercontinental Champion, Triple H, makes his way out to the ring.
Mankind wins the Corporate Rumble: Rock, Triple H, Sean Waltman, Kane, Rob Van Dam, Ken Shamrock, Jeff Jarrett, Val Venis, and Chyna were also in the match. Mankind made his return to RAW is WAR tonight and he last eliminated Kane to win after help from the Rock!
The crowd went wild as Mankind was proclaimed the winner. The Rock raised Mick Foley’s hand as a partnership has been brewing between the two over the past two months. Kane tried to get into the ring, but he was restrained by referees and part of the Corporate team in Shane and the stooges. Mankind celebrated on the turnbuckles as the Rock told Kane to “just bring it.” RAW is WAR heading to it’s first break.
Break
Back from the commercial break Mankind was still in the ring. He took a microphone and he said “Undertaker! I told you nothing could keep me from the WWF Championship! Not even a twenty foot drop off of the Cell!” The crowd pops as he said he’s worked too damn hard over the past decade to come up short over and over. He promises that next week will finally be the night Mankind can be called the World Wrestling Federation Champion! The lights in the arena dim and WWF Champion Undertaker makes his way out to the stage to a majority of boos. ‘Taker says Mankind is a fool and is greed will put the final nail in his coffin next week. He tells Foley he has done everything in his power to keep him down for good over the past two months. He destroyed him at Survivor Series, he buried him alive on RAW is WAR, and he led him in his plummet to hell at Armageddon. Undertaker says he is tried of failing and next week he is going to do more than just retain his WWF Championship. He is going to finish the job and he will take Mankind off the face of this earth and drag him down to the depths of hell for good. Mankind smirks and tells ‘Taker he looks forward to another visit to hell, so he wants next week to have no disqualifications and no count outs! Undertaker accepts his challenge and the crowd pops. The champion goes to leave the stage, but he is cut off by Mr. McMahon. Vince tells Undertaker something not picked up by the camera and he begrudgingly follows the boss to the back, Mankind looking perplexed in the ring.
A WWF Attitude video is aired featuring the many great superstars of the World Wrestling Federation. As we go back live to the arena the commentators recap what we just saw between Mr. McMahon and the Undertaker.
Chris Jericho vs. Owen Hart Never Got Started: Owen Hart was making his way out to the ring when Chris Jericho attacked him from behind! Jericho led a beat down all across the ringside area before locking in the Walls of Jericho on the floor. Referees had to rush out and pry Jericho off again as we went to another break.
Break
We are shown exclusive footage from a conversation between Mr. McMahon and the Undertaker. ‘Taker is in no mood for McMahon and asks what he wants. Vince tells Undertaker he wants to cut a deal with him. He says he knows he has a problem with Steve Austin. He knows that he wants to get a piece of Stone Cold! Vince reminds him about Austin’s cage match with the Big Show tonight for his job. He then offers the WWF Champion a deal, saying if he ensures Stone Cold loses the cage match tonight, he’ll protect his WWF title by naming himself the special guest referee for his match with Mankind next week! Undertaker shakes his head no, telling Vince he doesn’t want to play his ‘corporate’ games. ‘Taker goes on to say he is going to get Austin back sooner or later, but it will be for himself and no one else. As for next week he wants the Corporation as far as possible from his match, because it’s his chance to destroy Mankind for good. ‘Taker storms off, leaving McMahon frustrated.
A replay is shown from moments ago as Chris Jericho lead a brutal assault onto the former European Champion, Owen Hart.
WWF Tag Team Champion Bradshaw(w/Al Snow, Jackyl, and Faarooq) def. Steve Blackman: Blackman faced one of Snow’s stable mates in his quest to set Snow ‘free.’ Eventually Al provided a distraction to Blackman, allowing Bradshaw to finish him off with a Clothesline from Hell.
Following the match the Acolytes aren’t done as the Jackyl orders a beat down on Blackman. Snow joins in as a three-on-one assault takes place. The trio continues the attack, but the theme of the Dudley Boyz hits over the PA System! The crowd pops as the Dudleyz rush out to the ring, the Jackyl ordering his troops to leave. They grab their titles and head up the ramp as the former tag champions help Blackman up to his feet.
Up next Ken Shamrock and the Rock take on Jeff Jarrett and Kane, and things are sure to explode after what happened earlier tonight in the Corporate Rumble!
Break
Returning from the commercial break we see a replay of the Rock costing Kane the Corporate Rumble earlier. The cameras head backstage as Kane is ticked off, throwing table and other equipment around the backstage area. Jarrett, Shane, and the Stooges try to calm the monster down as he continues to wreck the backstage area. Shane eventually gets Kane to clam down, telling him he has his shot at redemption up next. He says to Kane the Rock has been a thorn in the side of the Corporate team for too long, and he wants him taken care of tonight! Shane asks Kane to promise him that he will take out the Rock, because he knows “Double J” Jeff Jarrett will take out Ken Shamrock. Kane nods and the Corporation heads to the ringside area for the tag match.
Ken Shamrock and the Rock def. Jeff Jarrett and Kane(w/Shane McMahon): Rock and Kane couldn’t wait to go after each other and they ended up brawling to the back. This distracted Jarrett, allowing Shamrock to put in the Ankle Lock and finally make Jarrett tap!
The crowd popped as Shamrock celebrated is victory, finally having Jarrett defeated in the tag match! Shane clearly wasn’t as ecstatic and slid in with a chair, hitting Shamrock in the back! It proved to be useless as Ken didn’t go down, Shane in awe. Jarrett and McMahon quickly bailed from the scene as Shamrock chased after them. The feed went to the backstage area as Rock and Kane were still slugging it out in the mess hall! Rock was getting the upper hand on “the Big Red Machine” and he ended up throwing a pie into Kane’s face! The crowd laughed as Rock asked “how was your first taste of pie?” Kane clearly wasn’t amused and he nailed Rock with an uppercut, fists flying again. Security and staff members rushed into the room to break the two men up as we went to another part of the arena as “the World’s Most Dangerous Man” was looking for Jarrett and McMahon. Suddenly he was ambushed from behind by Jarrett, Jeff hitting the Stroke on the floor!
Stone Cold Steve Austin is shown arriving to the arena to a massive pop, he fights the Big Show in a steel cage for his job in our main event!
Break
Jim Ross and the King welcomed us to our second hour before recapping the massive brawl that just took place. They hype up what’s left to come as Val Venis threatens to reveal his ‘secret’ with Chyna, and Stone Cold Steve Austin will fight for his job against the Big Show in a steel cage match! The theme of Andrew Martin hits as he makes his way out with the Godfather, a replay shown of Martin making the save for Godfather from D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry two weeks ago.
Non-title; European Champion D-Lo Brown(w/Mark Henry) def. Andrew Martin(w/Godfather and Hos): D-Lo Brown was able to escape the Pump Handle Slam and the European Champion got Martin in a small package for the three!
The fans in attendance booed as Brown was handed the European Championship. Godfather helped Martin out of the ring as D-Lo proceeded to mock the duo once again, the European Champ has their number for sure!
In the locker room of D-Generation X Triple H and Sean Waltman were shown questioning Chyna about Val Venis again. Just like last week she gives them no answer, Hunter snapping at her, saying he doesn’t want to put HIS Intercontinental Championship on the line just because she has some stupid secret! Chyna tells him she doesn’t want to talk about it, but Waltman says if she doesn’t tell them then Val is going to tell everybody! She still refuses to tell as Mr. McMahon walks into the room. Hunter stands up as Vince talks about the deal they cut. He assures them if they ensure that Stone Cold does not walk away the winner tonight, then he will make sure Val Venis never gets another Intercontinental Championship match! “The Game” smirks and tells Vince it’s no problem. Vince thanks the champ, but tells him he wants to talk to him about something else; the New Age Outlaws. McMahon and Hunter step out of the room as RAW is WAR heads to a break.
Break
Edge is shown sitting in a corner of a dark room as Kevin Kelly creeps his way in. Edge looks up and Kevin asks him if he can get a few words. He stands up and walks over to Kelly, agreeing. Kelly says he just wanted to get Edge’s thoughts on the whole situation with Gangrel and his brother, Christian, and if he will ever join the duo. Edge looks at Kelly and tells him the same thing he’s told Gangrel countless of times; “I don’t want their help, but more importantly I don’t need their help.” Edge says he was on his on path to becoming the Intercontinental Champion before Gangrel get involved. Just then Gangrel and Christian walk in, Gangrel telling Edge he has a deal for him. Edge says he’s not interested, but Gangrel insists and talking anyway. He says is willing to offer Edge a match next week on RAW is WAR. If he [Edge] wins, then they’ll stay out of his way for good. If he [Gangrel] wins, then Edge must join them! Edge pauses for a moment to think, before finally accepting. Gangrel smirks and leaves with Christian, next week shaping up to be another big show!
A replay is shown of Scorpio becoming number one contender on Sunday Night HeAT.
Rey Mysterio and Scorpio def. Too Much: Following the events last night on HeAT, Mysterio and Scorpio teamed up to battle Too Much. Scorpio got another shocking win as he took the Light Heavyweight Champion out with a 450 Splash!
The fans cheered as Mysterio and Scorpio were pronounced the winners. Too Much rolled out of the ring, in shock that Scorpio had pinned the both of them in a span of twenty four hours. Christopher grabbed the Light Heavyweight Championship and the duo stormed out, Rey and Scorpio celebrating their win on opposing turnbuckles.
Val Venis is shown making his way down a corridor as Michael Cole tries to get a word with him about his ‘secret’ with Chyna. Val smirks and tells Cole he’s going out to the ring right now to address this, and it’s going to be a big one. And he means big! Val walks off, RAW is WAR fading into a commercial break.
Break
The theme of Val Venis hits over the PA system to a great reaction. Val makes his way out to the ring with a cocky smirk on his face. He takes a microphone and enters the ring; “Hello, ladies!” The females in attendance go wild as Val continues to talk, saying one of two things are going down tonight. Number one, he’s getting another Intercontinental Championship match. Or, number two, he reveals his ‘big’ secret with Chyna to the entire world. Suddenly Val is cut off by the theme song of D-Generation X as Intercontinental Champion Triple H and Chyna march their way out to the ring. Triple H tells Venis he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about, but that doesn’t matter. He says tonight he’ll make sure Stone Cold goes down for good, and then Vince will make sure “you’re punk ass” never gets another shot at HIS Intercontinental Championship. Venis tells him it’s not up to him, you, or even Vince. It’s up to Chyna! Chyna shakes her head as Val focuses his attention to her. He tells her this is all up to her. Either she gets him another shot at that title, or he’ll show the world their secret. Chyna takes a microphone and tells Val to suck it! Venis smirks and says it’s ironic how she tells him to suck it, because the last time he checked the roles were reversed! Hunter looks confused as Val tells the production crew to roll the footage, but Chyna stops him. She turns back to Triple H, and practically begs him to give Val another title shot. Hunter gives in, but he says it’s on one condition. If he wins, then he’ll never get another title match! Venis accepts the conditions and says he has one more thing. He sees this as a perfect chance to show his latest film, “Foreign Affairs.” A video plays with Val standing outside a door. He begins to speak “Hello, Hunter. Right now I’m outside the location for my latest film, Foreign Affairs. Now I apologize for stealing your catchphrase in advance, but I just have two words for this lady.” Val smirks and opens the door, showing Chyna in the room! The crowd pops as Val takes off his towel and closes the door, the video ending. Back in the arena Val has a devious smirk on his face and leaves. Chyna is humiliated as Triple H is in absolute shock. RAW is WAR goes to a break with Val taunting DX on the stage, no one sure on how to react!
Break
Back from the break Jim Ross and Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler talk about what we just saw as Val Venis gave us a sneak peak of his latest film, starring himself….. and Chyna! They mention how Val Venis now has a shot at the Intercontinental Championship next week, but it will be his last chance at the title as he goes one on one with Triple H. The pair talk about how next week is really shaping up to be another huge show as Gangrel faces Edge where if Edge loses he must join Gangrel and Christian. Then in the main event the Undertaker defends the WWF Championship against Mankind in a No DQ match, and breaking news about the match, Mr. McMahon has confirmed himself to be the special guest referee. JR notes both Foley and Undertaker are going to be less than happy as Jacqueline and Luna Vachon make their way out to the ring.
Jacqueline and Luna Vachon def. WWF Woman’s Champion Sable and Ivory: Jacqueline scored the victory as she got a blind tag in and took Sable down with a Tornado DDT.
The crowd booed as Jacqueline and Luna Vachon were announced the winners. Ivory tended to the Woman’s Champion as Jacqueline is sure to get another shot at her title after this win.
Big Show and Mr. McMahon are seen backstage to a chorus of boos. McMahon tells Big Show up next is the biggest match of his career. He says this match will define him for the rest of his life! He continues the pep talk, saying he knows he won’t disappoint him tonight. McMahon says with D-Generation X in his corner, and with him in the steel cage, he knows that Stone Cold will never be back in his World Wrestling Federation. Big Show tells him to stop, saying he knows what to do. He promises to end Stone Cold’s career and tonight and heads out of the room, McMahon following him. Up next Stone Cold and the Big Show meet in the steel cage for Austin’s job!
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion.
Steel Cage: Stone Cold Steve Austin def. the Big Show(w/Mr. McMahon): Despite tonight’s events DX were still at ringside and prevented Austin from winning at every chance they got. Austin was up to his tricks, however, and he slapped the giant to make him so angry he threw Austin right through the cage, Stone Cold landing on the floor!
The crowd went insane as McMahon couldn’t believe what he just saw. The cage flying open took out DX and Austin quickly got up to his feet, sacrificing himself to win the match. Vince kept shouting “NO!” while Big Show was in disbelief. Austin flipped both Corporation members off and celebrated on the stage with two cold beers to end a great 1998 year. 1999 here we come!

Let's cap this year off with a great show, shall we? A good "Corporate" Rumble to start things off. Mankind with the win is great in his first match back since nearly killing himself at Armageddon. Hmm, could the actual date of his World Wrestling Federation Championship win stay intact in this diary? I'm sure it would put butts in seats. Oh sh*t, Vince and 'Taker. Not a bad way to hold off the Jericho/Owen match, Jericho has been looking pretty good since debuting. Well that's an interesting exchange of words between the Champion and Chairman. I can't see Undertaker being property of the Corporation. Bradshaw with a win over Steve Blackman is fine, gives Hell's Henchmen some good momentum heading into '99. Liked the post match stuff with the Dudley Boyz making the save. As I think I've said before, I'm sure we'll be seeing a gimmick match at some point between the two teams. A great tag bout here with Rock and Shamrock, and quite the chaotic scene afterwards. Loved Rock's "pie" line. A nice win for European Champion D-Lo here, and poor Martin. No win and he's going home Ho-less this week. Solid backstage segment to setup the Edge/Gangrel match next week. Being a fan of the Brood, I'm pulling for Gangrel to see the trio come to fruition in this diary. Some good Light Heavyweight action here with Mysterio and Scorpio getting the victory. Hey, I was right. Chyna and Val has a Merry Christmas it seems. Looking forward to the Intercontinental Championship match next week, and I really won't mind either decision. Nice win for the heel duo of Jacqueline and Luna. I imagine they'll soon implode over the right to be Sable's next challenger for the Women's Championship. Finally, a great Steel Cage match to close out both the show and the year. Not a bad call to have the St. Valentine's Day Massacre finish take place, and nice to see Austin get the victory. A great way to send things into 1999.

Referees finally broke up the brawl as Edge was still trying to get a piece of his brother and Gangrel.

Vince went to D-Generation X’s Triple H and Sean Waltman, who accepted the job. The video skips ahead to the main event of Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Big Show in the steel cage. He says he is officially making an open challenge to any scum who has the guts next week! Regal drops the microphone and leaves to boos from the crowd.
Backstage Kevin Kelly is standing by with the New Age Outlaws. He asks the pair what they think about the whole situation between DX and the Corporation, and their match with the Dudley Boyz up next. Road Dogg takes the microphone, telling Kevin Kelly their not buying into Mr. McMahon’s bull**** like Triple H and Sean Waltman are. He says they promised to take matters into their own hands, and that’s exactly what they’re going to do when the knock off the Dudley Boyz up next. Gunn takes the microphone saying they’re going to put some sense back into Hunter’s and Waltman’s heads next week, but up next they got to take care of some business and take one more step to getting back their WWF Tag Team Championships! The Outlaws and the Dudleyz collide up next!
Break
Returning from the commercial break Shane McMahon and Michael Cole hype up tomorrow’s RAW is WAR. They can confirm two new matches with the Dudley Boyz and Steve Blackman versus Hell’s Henchmen, the Acolytes and Al Snow. Also added is Kane versus the Rock, as well as Edge versus Gangrel where if Edge loses he must join Gangrel and Christian; Triple H defending the Intercontinental Championship against Val Venis; and in the main event Mr. McMahon is the special guest referee as Mankind and the Undertaker collide in a No Disqualification Match for the WWF Championship!
The Dudley Boyz def. The New Age Outlaws: This was the first meeting between the former WWF Tag Team Champions since Breakdown: In Your House. The Dudleyz scored the win after hitting the Dudley Death Drop.
The crowd popped as the Dudley Boyz celebrated their victory. They climbed opposing turnbuckles, but they were pulled down to their feet by the New Age Outlaws. The Dudleyz were prepared to fight, but the Outlaws didn’t strike. Gunn and Road Dogg gave the pair a nod of respect before heading out of the ring, the change of attitude in the Outlaws continuing! The crowd cheered as the Dudleyz went back to celebrating as the Outlaws left the scene.
We see the World Wrestling Federation Champion, the Undertaker, walking backstage. He confronts Mr. McMahon up next!
Break
A majority of boos came from the fans as the Undertaker’s theme song hit over the PA System. The World Wrestling Federation came out with a purpose, marching to the ring. He grabbed a microphone, saying tomorrow night on RAW is WAR he defends the WWF Championship against Mankind. He says he was looking forward to ending Mick Foley once in for all, but Vince McMahon decided to stick his nose where it didn’t belong and appoint himself as the referee. ‘Taker called McMahon out, wanting to settle this right now. Mr. McMahon came out, alone, as the champion never let him out of his sight as he walked down to the ring. Vince took a microphone and told Undertaker he knows they haven’t seen eye to eye ever since he won the WWF Championship at Judgment Day, but he has a valid reason for appointing himself as special guest referee. He says he never wanted Stone Cold to become WWF Champion, and he never wants Mankind to hold the title either! Undertaker tells Vince he’s already beaten Mankind twice, and orders him to remove himself as the guest referee before this gets any worse. Mr. McMahon looks ‘Taker dead in the eyes and tells him he doesn’t think he can do it again. He says it took Undertaker three tombstone to beat him at Survivor Series, and he only won at Armageddon because Mick jumped off the cell and missed! “The Phenom” was furious and told Mr. McMahon he is going to end Mankind tomorrow night. He said there is no chance he can survive an encounter with himself a third time, so Vince can keep his Corporate Team out of this. Tempers were flaring as the owner told Undertaker they need to work on the same page, saying they have two things in common. They both want the WWF Champion, and Stone Cold Steve Austin to be wiped off the face of the Earth! He went on to say if they work together he will assure the WWF Championship to remain in their possession, and the destruction of Stone Cold! Vince put his hand out to the champ, who actually accepted! The crowd was in shock, but as Mr. McMahon went to leave Undertaker wouldn’t let go. Vince’s eyes grew wide as ‘Taker wrapped his hand around his throat and hit the Chokeslam! The crowd popped as Undertaker stood tall over McMahon with the WWF Championship, Sunday Night HeAT going off the air.

Real happy you are continuing with you unique '98 diary Penguin. You've had some great ideas in this diary and some farfetched ones that would fit in with WWF at the time. First, hell yeah welcome to 99! Glad to see you break into another year in this diary. Your layout is fantastic and easy to follow...which is good for me. Seems like HeAT had some good tag action with some big tag teams going at it. The McMahon/Taker segment was well written and like the turn for 'Taker here. I don't envision a full turn, as he is going to destroy Mankind on Raw. I'll be reading once again, lost touch with this one but want to get it back. Keep it up Penguin!

WWF @ Worcester, MA- Centrum - January 4, 1999 RAW is WAR opens up with a video of last week. It featured Mr. McMahon trying to enlist help for the Big Show in keeping Stone Cold out of the WWF. McMahon’s first try was the World Wrestling Federation Champion, the Undertaker, but he refuses as he still wants nothing to do with McMahon’s Corporate team. Vince went to D-Generation X’s Triple H and Sean Waltman, who accepted the job. The video skips ahead to the main event of Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Big Show in the steel cage. It highlighted the match as Big Show repeatedly threw Austin in the cage, and whenever Austin tried escaping D-Generation X would stop him from leaving the cage. Finally Stone Cold outsmarted the Corporation by slapping the Big Show, enraging the giant so much he threw Austin through the cage and to the floor! The video ended as Mr. McMahon was in shock, Stone Cold celebrating on the stage with two beers.
As the pyro takes off the cameras pan across the arena showing off fans as they show off their signs. We turn it over to JR and King who welcome us to the first ever episode of RAW in 1999! They hype up a massive show as the Dudley Boyz teams up with Steve Blackman against Hell’s Henchmen; Gangrel takes on Edge where if Edge loses he must join Gangrel and Christian; The Rock faces Corporation’s Kane; Triple H defends the Intercontinental Championship against Val Venis; then in our main event Mr. McMahon is the special guest referee as Mankind challenges the Undertaker for the WWF Championship in a No Disqualification Match! Just then the Glass Shatters to a huge pop from the crowd.
In his first night back on the job Stone Cold wastes no time in taking a microphone and hitting the ring. Austin says last week he finally whooped the Big Show’s ass all over the steel cage, and not only is Stone Cold Steve Austin back in the World Wrestling Federation, but he’s going to the Royal Rumble and then straight to WrestleMania! Austin says he doesn’t give a damn if it’s Mick Foley or the Undertaker he has to face at WrestleMania. All he knows is he will win the Royal Rumble and he will back his WWF Championship at WrestleMania 15! The crowd pops as Stone Cold goes on to address Mr. McMahon. He says he knows he just sits up in big fancy office thinking of different ways to keep Stone Cold Steve Austin out of the WWF, but as he proved last week there is no chance in hell of keeping him down! The crowd cheers, but those come to a dead stop as the Corporation make their way out to the stage. Mr. McMahon has a microphone, but his voiced is downed out by chants of “bunghole!” Vince talks over the fans anyway, saying it’s funny how Austin brings up having no chance in hell; because he has no chance in hell of winning the Royal Rumble! The crowd boos as Mr. McMahon points to Big Show and Kane, saying these two are going to ensure the only place Stone Cold goes is over the top rope! The Corporation claps as Austin responds, telling McMahon he has done every thing in his power to keep him away from the World Wrestling Federation, but this time there is no stopping him! Vince says he would like to see Austin live up to that, and he orders Jarrett, Waltman, Rob Van Dam, and Kane down to the ring! Big Show remains up on the stage as the others circle the ring. They all begin to attack Austin, cornering him like an animal. Stone Cold starts to fight them off one by one, but the numbers catch up again. Suddenly Mankind comes out from the crowd and grabs a chair sliding into the ring. Vince looks horrified as Foley takes out RVD with a huge chair shot, and the same to Waltman! Jarrett attacks him from behind, but is dumped out of the ring by the number one contender. Kane goes after Mankind, just for Austin to make the save. The two superstars fight off “the Big Red Machine” - sending him out of the ring. The crowd pops as Austin and Foley just took out four members of the Corporation, McMahon fuming on the stage.
Break
As RAW is WAR returned from a break, a replay is shown of the brawl between the Corporation and Austin and Mankind. After the replay is finished a graphic reminds us of tonight’s WWF Championship match, then once we go live the Big Show is in the ring with Shane McMahon, getting ready for his match.
The Big Show(w/Shane McMahon) def. Ken Shamrock: Shamrock was making great strides against the giant, but was distracted by Debra from up on the stage. This allowed Show to hit the Chokeslam on Ken and take the win.
The crowd booed as Shane greeted Debra on the ramp. Show raises his hand and followed McMahon, leading him and Debra up the stage. Shamrock was confused as “Double J” Jeff Jarrett stepped out onto the stage with a microphone and introduced Ken to his newest manger and latest addition to the Corporation….. Debra! More boos filled the arena as the Corporation celebrated on the stage.
Backstage Kevin Kelly is standing next to Intercontinental Champion Triple H and Chyna. Kevin asks “the Game” about his thoughts on defending the Intercontinental Championship against Val Venis later on tonight. Hunter calls him a punk who just scammed his way to getting another championship match! He tells Kelly he’s pretty damn sick and tired of him sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong, so he’s taking him out for good tonight. Once he’s finished Kevin turns to Chyna and asks her about her situation with Val Venis. Chyna stares him down before finally speaking, saying Val crossed the line. She says that she knows Triple H is going to destroy him tonight, but once he’s done SHE wants a piece of him! D-Generation X walk off the set as they are clearly ticked.
Break
Back from the commercial break Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler recap what we saw from Chyna, saying she wants a piece of Val Venis after what happened last week! They announce we are still scheduled to hear from the Undertaker and Mankind before the Championship match tonight before taking us back to two weeks ago where the Acolytes retained their titles by disqualification. Ross notes Commissioner Slaughter will address the situation following our next match.
The Dudley Boyz & Steve Blackman def. WWF Tag Team Champions Acolytes and WWF Hardcore Champion Al Snow(w/the Jackyl and Head): In an exciting six man bout where Hell’s Henchmen took on their rivals, the Dudleyz hit the Dudley Death Drop on the Hardcore Champion to get the victory.
Jackyl smacked the apron out of frustration as the Dudleyz and Blackman celebrated the win. The Acolytes assisted Snow out of the ring as they all grabbed their titles. The three faces invited them back into the ring for a fight, but the Jackyl kept them out of the ring. Jackyl took a microphone and told the three of them Hell’s Henchmen operate on their own time, but he assures them it’s only a matter of time before the darkness consumes all three of them. Before anyone can say more, Commissioner Slaughter walks out to the stage. Slaughter tells the Jackyl they cannot operate on their time, they operate on the WWF’s time! He says he has made a decision regarding the Tag Team Championship match two weeks on RAW, and he is going to give the Dudley Boyz a rematch at the Royal Rumble! The crowd popped as Slaughter continued, saying it will be history in the making as it will be the first ever Falls Count Anywhere Tag Team Match! The Dudleyz were more than excited as Blackman told them he’d have their back.
Up next Edge takes on Gangrel, where if Edge wins Gangrel will leave him alone, but if Gangrel wins Edge must join him and Christian!
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion.
Backstage Owen Hart is shown searching the halls for Chris Jericho. He interrogates multiple staff members on his position, but none of them can give him a solid answer. Owen storms off, on the hunt for Jericho!
Gangrel(w/Christian) def. Edge: Edge was setting up for the spear, but Christian distracted the ref. Gangrel spit blood in Edge’s eyes as he charged and rolled him up for the three!
Edge rolled around the ring covering his eyes as Gangrel and Christian stood victorious in the ring. The duo stood over Edge, awaiting for him to get up. As he staggered, Christian took his own brother and hit the Impaler! The crowd jeered them as they continued the assault, Gangrel now hitting the Impaler DDT! As he was out cold they grabbed him and brought him to the outside. They threw him to the floor and Gangrel raises his arms, the lights shutting off. When they came back on, Edge was covered in blood! Gangrel and Christian stood over him, smirking, before they both carted him to the back…. almost like this was all some induction ceremony!
Val Venis was shown strutting down the halls cockily, his Intercontinental Championship match is up next!
Break
As RAW is WAR returned from a commercial break Jim Ross lead us into a replay of Val Venis debuting his latest film “Foreign Affairs” staring both him and Chyna!
The theme of Val Venis hit to a loud ovation as one of the fastest rising stars came out to the ring. He took a microphone saying Chyna found out first hand why “the Big Valbowski” is like the Great Wall of China. Big, long, and it goes on and on and on! The crowd popped as Val said tonight he’s going to be staring in a new movie tonight, but this time it’ll be “the Big Valbowski kicking Triple H’s ass and winning the Intercontinental Championship”! Venis smirked before being interrupted by the theme song of D-Generation X. Hunter and Chyna came down to the ring with a purpose, not even saying a word. Triple H slid into the ring and started trading punches with Val right off the bat, the bell ringing!
WWF Intercontinental Championship: Val Venis def. Triple H(w/Chyna) to WIN: Sean Waltman came out during the match despite the chair shot from Mankind early. DX constantly interfered during this bout, and Chyna even took out the ref, allowing Stone Cold to hit the ring! He hit Triple H with the chair and quickly left, Val going to the top, hitting the Money Shot, and getting the three!
The fans in Worchester went wild as Val was handed the Intercontinental Championship. Chyna was in pure disgust, and the rookie in pure shock! Was he got over his first title win Val put the title around his waist and gyrated for the crowd, Chyna and Waltman helping Hunter out. DX were besides themselves as not only did Val take the Intercontinental title again, but Stone Cold just cost the Corporation-DX alliance a title!
Up next the Rock goes one on one with Kane, and after that we’ll hear from WWF Champion Undertaker, who must have a lot to say after chokeslaming Mr. McMahon last night!
Break
RAW is WAR returns as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome us to our second hour, talking about how Stone Cold just cost Triple H the Intercontinental Championship, a huge blow to the Corporation-DX alliance! They hype up the rest of our broadcast with Kane versus the Rock, and Mankind taking on the Undertaker for the WWF Championship with Mr. McMahon as the Special Guest Referee!
The theme of the Rock hits to a massive ovation as “the People’s Champion” makes his way out to the ring, taking a microphone. Rock says he knows his friend Mankind will take the WWF Championship from the Undertaker tonight, but up next the Rock is going to take out the Undertaker’s big red intellectually- disabled person of a brother in Kane! The crowd pops as Rock tells Kane to bring his roody poo candy ass out here because “the Great One” is going to take on a ride down Know Your Roll Boulevard right off the corner of Jabroni Drive, and check you in the Smackdown Hotel in front of the millions and MILLIONS of the Rock’s fans. The crowd chants “Rocky, Rocky, Rock!” as Kane finally make his way out to the ring.
The Rock versus Kane goes to a Double Countout: With the tension that has been building between the Rock and the Brothers of Destruction, this match spilled to the outside, but this time Kane took control and choke slammed Rock through the announcers table as the referee made his count.
Rock was laid out in the wreckage of the announce table as Kane stood tall over him. Referees tried to restrain him, but Kane pushes them away. As staff checked on the Rock, Kane stormed off. Shane McMahon and the goons came out to escort Kane to the back, who still clearly upset about the Rock costing him the Corporate Rumble last week!
Undertaker is shown backstage with the WWF Championship, about to address his match with Mankind later on tonight. Before he can say anything, he is confronted by Mr. McMahon and the Big Show. ‘Taker tenses up as Vince tells him what he did last night on HeAT was unacceptable! Undertaker smirked as the boss raged on, telling the champ if he ever touched him again there would be hell to pay. Undertaker tells Vince he warned him a long time ago to say out of his business, but Vince cuts him off again. He says even though their relationship is clearly weak, he needs to realize something. Austin already cost Triple H his championship and he worked with Mankind earlier to take out Corporation members, so they’re clearly plotting on screwing him out of the title! Vince assures Undertaker he’ll make sure that won’t happen, but he just needs him to get on the same page as the Corporate Team. ‘Taker wants none of it and snaps at McMahon, telling him to leave the room. McMahon shrugs and leads Big Show out, RAW going to a break.
Break
Backstage in a corridor we see Triple H, Chyna, and Sean Waltman of D-Generation X. Hunter is pissed and he paces around the hall as Chyna holds her head in her hands. Waltman is trying to clam every down, but Triple H says there is no way of claming down because Austin just cost him the Intercontinental Championship and now Val Venis is running around with it! H says the next time he sees Austin he is going to bash his brains in. Waltman tells Hunter while he is taking care of Stone Cold, he’ll be sure to take the Intercontinental Championship from Val Venis and bring it back to DX! Before anyone can say more the New Age Outlaws appear, Jesse James saying they’re going about this all wrong. The reason why Austin cost Triple H the title is because they’re trying to do McMahon’s dirty work. Gunn says they told everyone bad things would happen with Vince, and now they all know what they have to do tonight in the WWF Championship match. The Outlaws look at the rest of DX before walking down the corridor.
Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler ponder what the Outlaws are talking about before taking us back to last week on RAW is WAR where European Champion D-Lo Brown knocked off former Hardcore Champion Andrew Martin with a roll up in the Slam of the Week.
The Godfather(w/Hos and Andrew Martin) def. Mark Henry(w/D-Lo Brown): Martin and Godfather finally get some leverage over their rivals as Martin took out D-Lo when he tried to interfere and Godfather hit a huge Pimp Drop for the win!
D-Lo was in awe as Godfather had just hit the Pimp Drop on “the World’s Strongest Man”! Martin and Godfather celebrated in the ring with the Hos, the European Champion and Mark Henry retreating up the ramp.
Still to come tonight the Undertaker defends the WWF Championship against Mankind with Mr. McMahon as the special guest referee.
Break
In the arena Jim Ross and the King are talking about the Royal Rumble, reminding us how earlier tonight it was announced the Dudleyz will get their rematch against the Acolytes in the first ever tag team Falls Count Anywhere match! As the begin to talk about the Royal Rumble, JR informs us some sort of commotion is going on in the back. The cameras rush backstage into a locker room to a massive huddle of referees and yelling as they’re trying to hold apart Chris Jericho and Owen Hart. Owen looks to be the aggressor while Jericho welcomes the blockade; Commissioner Slaughter coming in to try and settle things. Back in the live arena WWF Woman’s Champion Sable makes her way out to the announcers table to the pleasure of the King.
Number One Contenders Match: Jacqueline def. Luna Vachon and Ivory: Jacqueline secured her title shot after rolling up Ivory while she was looking to finish off Luna.
Ivory couldn’t believe it as Jacqueline slipped out of the ring. Luna rolled out and congratulated Jacqueline. The two ladies taunted Sable who stood up at the announcers table and raised the championship, these two rivals finally clash one on one at the Royal Rumble!
Michael Cole is standing by backstage with the number one contender, Mankind. At first he asks him about his encounter with Austin and the Corporation earlier tonight. Mankind says him and Austin have had some problems in the past, but there is a relationship between him, Shamrock, Rock, and Austin. They all have a common enemy in the Corporation! While they all want the WWF Championship for themselves, the common goal is to take the Corporation out of the WWF. Cole asks next about McMahon’s accusations from before. Foley says he and Austin have nothing planned tonight, before tonight Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy is going to prove all the doubters wrong when he goes to hell one more time and wins the WWF Championship! Mankind tells Cole Undertaker can guarantee to take him out all he wants, but the fact is he and Mr. Socko will be celebrating with the WWF Championship! Mankind leaves, our main event is up next.
Break
Before the main event, Mr. McMahon came out with the entire Corporation, including D-Generation X, who surrounded the ring.
WWF Championship: Special Referee: Mr. McMahon; Mankind def. the Undertaker to WIN: At the end an all out brawl broke out between the Corporation, Rock, Shamrock, the Dudleyz, and Val Venis. During the chaos Austin made his way out with Earl Hebner, taking Vince out of the ring and hitting him with a chair! As Waltman and Triple H tried to attack Foley, the Outlaws stopped them, and then Foley hit ‘Taker with a Double Arm DDT onto a chair! Austin threw Earl in the ring, who made the three!
The crowd went WILD and the roof practically IMPLODED as Mankind has won the WWF Championship! Shane quickly attended to his father as Austin watched all from the ramp, Foley running around the ring with the championship! The Outlaws stood in the ring and hoisted Foley up on their shoulders as Rock, Shamrock, Venis, and the Dudleyz applauded in the ring. Vince finally woke up on the outside, nearly crying as he saw Mankind holding the WWF Championship. Undertaker went to the outside and screamed at McMahon, telling him he knew this would happen! The Corporation got in between ’Taker and Vince; Vince fleeing from “the Phenom!” As he was running he ran into Stone Cold, just saying “WHY?” Austin flipped him off to Vince’s shock and left, the Corporation now joining Vince on the stage. Back in the ring Mankind was still celebrating to an ecstatic JR. RAW is WAR went off the air as the Corporation’s opposition stood in a rainfall of confetti; Austin making the Corporation’s and Undertaker’s lives hell on his first night back!

if the New Age Outlaws are apart of DX and DX is with the Corporation then why does it say Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are Faces ? The Outlaws have been receiving a face like reaction as of late and if you read the latest episode of RAW is WAR they stopped Waltman and Hunter from costing Mankind the WWF title.

1998 ENDS; TWO NEW CHAMPIONS RISE; JAPANESE TALENT SIGNING WITH WWF?
-1998 has officially to a close. Even though WCW had a stranglehold on the ratings for the first half of the year, WWF closed out strong and has gotten higher ratings than Nitro every week since October.
-Crowning two new champions in one night on RAW is WAR was considered a risky decision. The original plan was actually for Triple H to retain the championship and perhaps Venis would finally win the title at the Royal Rumble, but those plans were scrapped two weeks ago. The decision was made to have Stone Cold cost 'the Game' the Intercontinental Championship to had Austin raise more hell for the Corporation on his first night back.
-Allegedly 600,000 viewers switched to RAW is WAR from Monday Night Nitro when Eric Bischoff, who had learned of the results of the taped RAW is WAR, ordered announcer Tony Schiavone to make the following statement:
“Fans, if you're even thinking about changing the channel to our competition, do not. We understand that Mick Foley, who wrestled here at one time as Cactus Jack, is gonna win their World title. Ha! That's gonna put some butts in the seats, heh."
-Rumors are going around saying Japanese wrestler Eiji Ezaki, otherwise known as Hayabusa, is in contract negotiations with the World Wrestling Federation to come in as a Light Heavyweight. With a new push to Scorpio along with the already establish Light Heavyweights in Too Much, Rey Mysterio, and TAKA Michonku, the WWF wants to add on to the division.

Sweet opening segment with the official return of Steve Austin. He and Foley cleaning house of the Corporation made for some great entertainment. Perhaps Stone Cold returns the favor during the main event? Good opening contest victory for the Big Show over Ken Shamrock. Aw, Corporation got some pets. Seemed like a fun Six Man Tag match, and good to see the faces finally get some retribution against Hell's Henchmen. Falls Count Anywhere at the Rumble? I like. Gangrel wins! Brood up in here! Austin got involved? Val is Intercontinental Champion?!?! As much as like heel Attitude Era Hunter, this is awesome. I'm actually hoping to see Val get a good run with the title, and for Triple H to ascend into the main event scene sometime soon, perhaps after 'Mania. A huge match here with Kane and the Rock. The double countout finish is fine, puts Kane over as the monster we already know him to be. Can't see this feud going all the way to WrestleMania. Perhaps a blowoff match at the February PPV. Eh, getting a bit tired of this feud. Decent win for Godfather over Mark Henry, the emphasis on the amazing finish was nice, though. Good win for Jacqueline to set up the Women's Championship bout at the Royal Rumble between the two rivals. Alright, main event time. This gon b gud. Stone Cold! With Hebner! The Outlaws stopping D-X?! Foley did it! I loved how the entire write up captured the same feeling as the actual event of Mankind's title win. At least for me. A great RAW to open '99.

WWF @ San Antonio, TX - Freeman Coliseum - January 10, 1999 After the Sunday Night HeAT intro finishes, we are greeted by Michael Cole and Jim Ross. They welcome us to a special live edition of HeAT, and they assured us of a massive show in store. Brian Christopher defends the Light Heavyweight Championship against Scorpio; “The Lord of the WWF“ Steven Regal issues an open challenge to anybody in the locker room; We will hear from the NEW WWF Champion, Mankind; then in the main event of the evening Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his first match back as an official WWF Superstar against the Corporation’s Jeff Jarrett. Once they finish talking the theme song of Mankind hits to a huge pop from the crowd.
Mankind makes his way out, but instead of going straight to the ring, he ran around the ringside area and held the WWF Championship in the air. The crowd chanted “Foley” as he eventually made his way into the ring. He took a microphone and said Monday may have been the greatest night of his life, because he finally proved all the doubters wrong! Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy won the World Wrestling Federation Championship! He screamed “I did it! I did it! I did it!” over and over while the crowd ate all of up. His celebration was soon cut off short, however, as he was interrupted by the Undertaker’s theme song. The former champion marched to the ring martial like, Foley getting ready for a fight. ‘Taker took a microphone, telling Mankind he wanted to make this short and sweet. He was screwed out of the title on RAW is WAR, and he wants his rematch at the Royal Rumble! Mankind accepted, but Undertaker wasn’t finished. He said he wanted to ensure this match would only be between them - no Stone Cold and no Corporation. Foley interrupted him, saying he had an idea. He said Undertaker has been looking to finish him once and for all for the past three months. “I’ll give you a chance to do it, Undertaker. Not only will we throw out disqualifications and countouts, but we throw out pinfalls and submissions! We should ourselves a match called a Last Man Standing match. The only way to win is to beat your opponent so bad he cannot get up after a count of ten!” The crowd cheered as Undertaker told Mankind he was on, and at the Royal Rumble not only is he going to lose the WWF Championship, but he will rest…. in…. peace! Undertaker dropped the microphone and left the ring, Sunday Night HeAT going to a break as a huge match has been booked for the Royal Rumble in two weeks!
Break
Returning from the commercial break Jim Ross and Michael Cole show us a replay of Undertaker and Mankind making a Last Man Standing match for the WWF Championship at the Royal Rumble. After the replay Michael Cole reminded us of the rules, saying there are no pinfalls, submissions, disqualifications, or countouts. The only way to win is to inflict so much damage onto your opponent he can not answer the referee’s count of ten!
The theme of Too Much hit as Light Heavyweight Champion Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor made their way out, Christopher with a microphone in hand. Brian talked about how for the past three months he’s taken out every challenger in the Light Heavyweight Division, from Rey Mysterio Jr. to TAKA Michionku to even his tag partner, Scott Taylor! Brian continued to brag, saying because Undertaker and Triple H lost their titles on Monday Night RAW, he is the longest reigning champion in the WWF! The crowd booed as Scott applauded. Brian smirked before vowing to defeat yet another challenger in Scorpio tonight. Scorpio’s theme hit as he quickly rushed down to the ring, Too Much bailing.
Light Heavyweight Championship: Scorpio def. Brian Christopher(w/Scott Taylor) VIA COUNTOUT: Scorpio was closing in on the win when he went to the top for the 450 splash, but Scott pulled Christopher out of the ring. Brian took his title and left the area.
The crowd was clearly unsatisfied with the result as Too Much left the ringside area. Scorpio was in shock, being screwed out of the Light Heavyweight Championship. Eventually he left the ring and chased after the team, the screen fading to black.
Still to come tonight, Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his official return to the ring against Corporate “Double J” Jeff Jarrett.
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Following the advertisement the current Royal Rumble card is ran down, including the Royal Rumble match; Sable defending the WWF Woman’s Championship against Jacqueline; The Dudleyz get a last chance at the WWF Tag Team Championships versus the Acolytes in a Falls Count Anywhere match; Recently added Mankind will defend the World Wrestling Federation Championship in a Last Man Standing match against the Undertaker!
The self proclaimed “Lord of the WWF” Steven Regal makes his way out to the ring, a microphone in hand. He says for the past three months he has come out here and laid waste to every peasant who dared stepped into his ring. He demands some “actual” competition tonight because someone of his class should not be subjected to deal with the people he has dealt within the WWF. Regal waits in silence for his opponent as the theme of former European Champion Owen Hart hits to a huge pop from the crowd. Owen tells Regal they have some unfinished business from last month and accepts the challenge!
Owen Hart def. Steven Regal: Regal’s undefeated streak came to an end tonight when Jericho tried to attack Owen, but accidentally hit Regal, who got rolled up for the free!
The fans cheered as both Regal and Jericho were in shock. Steven was ticked and he berated the referee as Owen Hart celebrated the win on the aisle way. Owen turned his attention to Jericho and invited him to come on over, but “Y2J” refused. He quickly left through the crowd, wanting no part of his rival.
Break
Back from advertisements Kevin Kelly is standing with the New Age Outlaws. He asks the duo about their actions on RAW where they helped Mankind win the WWF championship, and what does the future hold for D-Generation X. Road Dogg told Kelly they’ve said for day one they don’t trust or like Mr. McMahon. “Hunter and Sean may want to throw away everything D-Generation X stands for, but they weren’t going to stand idly by while the Corporation screwed Mick Foley out of his achieving his life long dream.” Gunn talked next about the future of DX, saying the factions is far from over. Gunn was confident that their actions on RAW will only help DX in the future - not destroy it. Kevin asked one more question, asking what does the future hold for them. Jesse James said it’s only a matter of time before they are once again the WWF Tag Team Champions of the WORLD…. but it might just be time for the “D O double G” and the “Bad Ass” to get a little singles gold. The team smirked and left the set for Road Dogg’s match.
Before the match Michael Cole and JR introduce us into a replay of the Outlaws stopping the rest of DX from costing Mankind the WWF Championship on RAW is WAR. Non-title; Road Dogg(w/Billy Gunn) def. Hardcore Champion Al Snow(w/Jackyl and Head): Road Dogg picked up a huge win over the Hardcore Champion after ducking a shot from Head, hitting the Pumphandle Drop, taking the win.
The crowd went nuts as the Outlaws celebrated the ring. Jackyl was disgusted as they duo delivered the crotch chop to Hell’s Henchmen, Road Dogg may be in line for another Hardcore Championship match!
A video recapping Monday’s RAW is WAR played. It featured the opening segment of the Corporation trying to launch an assault onto Stone Cold, only for Mankind to make the save. It skipped to the ending of the Intercontinental Championship match, where Austin hit Triple H with a steel chair, allowing Val to hit the Money Shot and collect his first championship in the WWF. Finally it reached the main event as the Corporation circled the ring for the No DQ WWF Championship match between Mankind and the Undertaker. All hell broke lose as Stone Cold came out and replaced Mr. McMahon, the guest referee, with Earl Hebner. DX tried to interfere, but the New Age Outlaws stopped them! Foley hit the Double Arm DDT on the Undertaker, getting the victory! The video ended with Austin flipping off McMahon, Undertaker trying to get to the Corporation and Austin, and finally Mankind celebrating with the WWF Championship and all the faces in the ring.
Up next, Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his official in ring return against the Corporation’s Jeff Jarrett!
Break
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Jeff Jarrett(w/Debra and Shane McMahon): Ken Shamrock came out to the ringside area to chase the Corporation off. Austin finished Jarrett off with the Stunner to win.
The crowd cheered as Austin was proclaimed the winner. Jarrett was left out cold on the mat as Stone Cold climbed to the turnbuckle, calling for two beers. He cracked them open and chugged them down his throat before pouring a little over the Corporation member. Sunday Night HeAT went off the air as Stone Cold celebrated the win.
