I'm apologize in advance, but I feel the need for a rant. Now I am one of WWE Mattel's biggest fans (look at my username!), and I have been overly impressed with their wonderfully successful 9 months into 2010. Each new wave I really think to myself how damn good they are. However, with WreslteMania 26 series hitting stores now, I am just bitterly dissapointed with something. I can live with Triple H's Elite wearing a shirt that was never worn. It's a huge letdown for freakin' ELITE Undertaker to be WITHOUT his amazingly awesome entrance coat/hood. No Shawn Michaels, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, or Edge is BEYOND the point of WTF, but even that does not piss me off as much as.... NO BELTS! How the can there be no belts in this set?!?!? It's not just any PPV set with 6 figures. We have a 6 figure Basic set, 3 2-packs with 6 figures, and 4 Elites. We have a grand total of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 figures in this WreslteMania themed mega line-up. WrestleMania is the ULTIMATE pay-per-view and summarizes WHAT WWE IS. The biggest ing representation of the business. The most important CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES OF THE ING YEAR are at WreslteMania. And we get no belts. WHAT. THE. ? There is no excuse for this. Mattel says "yeah, we're getting belts out, look at EG Dibiase". EG DIBIASE. That's a ing gimmick belt and should be the LAST PRIORITY! WHAT THE IS MATTEL SMOKING? Then Mattel has the audacity to say "and we're slowly putting in belts"- CLASSIC Intercontinental Championship. Did I mention: CLASSIC? CLASSIC!!! CLASSIC??? CLASSIC!!! CLASSIC??? CLASSIC!!! I know that many collectors love the Legends line. I completely understand that. BUT I would think that 99.99% of those collectors would, in their right mind, believe that Mattel should at least get the CURRENT belts out there. A good 70+% of Mattel's WWE product is CURRENT talent/era. Why would they not produce, at the very LEAST, the ING WWE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT? It is the most logical thing for Mattel to include the figure size WWE Championship in the Cena/Batista pack, and the World Heavyweight Championship in the Edge/Jericho pack. But NO! It takes sooooooooooooooooo ing long for Mattel to make 2 strips of plastic. Apparently the LARGEST ING TOY COMPANY IN THE WORLD CANNOT MAKE THE 2 MOST IMPORTANT SMALL ING ACCESSORIES FOR THEIR WWE BRAND. If that's the case, then they should NOT be making toys. And don't tell me 9 months isn't long enough to mold 2 ing strips of plastic. That's complete BS. GIVE ME 9 MONTHS AND I WILL MOLD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ING WWE CHAMPIONSHIP FIGURE BELTS YOU'VE EVER SEEN- WITH MY BARE HANDS. We're not asking for something impossible, folks. Title belts are the most relevent accessories that can be made for figures. Yet, for some reason, Mattel REFUSES to make them. The M$M belt is just a distraction. It's total gimmicky crap, meaningless, and worthless. But wait! We have the Classic IC title... nope, we'll have to wait until next year for that. So, if 9 months into a brand isn't long enough to make a ing strip of plastic, then I don't know how long it will take. All I'm saying is that the WrestleMania 26 theme sets would be the PERFECT opportunity to debut figure belts. Not having them is a huge letdown, along with the 99 other letdowns the WM set didn't deliver. End rant. Please discuss.

I'm pretty sure they said the belts were coming to the Elite line. Now about the belts not coming in the WM set. it isn't a big deal to me. yeah it would have been cool but the Jakks belts work fine IMO.

i also wish they would get the belts out sooner. i also hope we get the new style ecw belt even though the title is gone.

To be honest with you, I think it's great that people can complain about the lack of belts and not the lack of detail.
It's a different company, working in a different way. It's only been 9 months, working from scratch I think they have done an amazing job. To be honest, it's good to have your opinions, but calm down, you'll have enough belts soon enough.
Look at McIntyre, everyone wanted a figure of him, and now we've got 3 with another 1 or 2 scheduled.
You may not have belts right now, but you have the most beautifully detailed wrestling figures with the best accessories ever produced.
And I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but I chuckled at "There is no excuse for this".

They're toys, CHILL OUT. I may have come across that way. However, I am expressing my discontent and backing it up. Mattel should be ashamed. My reasoning: They had enough time to make the million dollar title but not any relevent belt? M$M belt is the LOWEST priority as far as belts come.

And they even explained why they couldn't make it. Do people around here seriously just blow off things like this straight from the source? Seriously, I really hope people like this don't sour Mattel on having a good relationship with the rest of us. I know if I were on their design team, seeing a post like this would turn me off to talking to the community - especially after I tell them in black and white, VERBATIM, why things are the way they are.

How long did it take Jakks to start making belts that weren't just rubber and painted on designs, but actual belts with plates? They ed up the WM line because they put a shirt on Taker instead of his robe?

Due to the compressed nature of the timelines between when Undertaker came out in the hooded robe and when the WM 26 Elite figures would reach the shelves we did not have time to develop the robe as an accessory. This wave was planned as a redeco wave late last year, when soft goods development for the wave had to begin in order for it to hit retail on time. The initial plan was for all our Elite WM 26 figures was for them to include commemorative T-shirts, but this plan was changed to include more personalized accessories for Rey Mysterio and Jak Swagger using already existing parts, repurposed to be more appropriate to each superstar. Triple H as you can see retains the shirt. Undertaker was to include this shirt as well, but it did not seem as appropriate to him, so it was changed to a shirt that celebrated the continuation of the streak. So that is why Undertaker does not have the robe. If it becomes a regular entrance gear of his there would be a good chance it would be included as an accessory at some point. Applying paint to a figure (Mysterio) is a hell of alot different than making a new mold (Undertaker's jacket). - It's no big deal with a very simple solution... Do not buy it. Wait for the elite 8 Undertaker or another one after that.
