"Sometimes, you need a bit of luck in life"
"I'm sorry to all my fans I let down. I didn't see the knee. I'm sorry. I don't think I fought worse than him. It would be better if I refused the fight because of lack of preparation, but I just could not. I don't know if this was my last fight."
Mirko defended all the takedowns with ease, avoided pretty much everything stand up wise, but didn't pull the trigger or go for a counter. It was pretty disappointing, it was definitely a winnable fight for him if he knew what to do and when to do it.

See I wanted Mir to win but that is why I chose Cro Cop to win, not an easy fight to win but it was his fight to win. I saw a few time Cro Cop could of got a good shot, it seems his heart just isn't in it anymore, which is a shame because if he wanted to actually fight he could still be putting on some good shows.

Haha nobody was picking Mir and he won, I'm so happy. He's been my favorite fighter for awhile and I'm also glad Bader won as well. Sherk with the win too.
I think I was the only one here that picked Mir to win. ;D

I give all the credit to Sherk for fighting his heart out and he fought a great fight but he didn't win that fight.

I don't know. It's whatever, but I thought Sherk won. It was indeed close and a good fight though.

I think I was the only one here that picked Mir to win. ;D I had Mir since the fight was first rumored. I've been saying for what feels like ages (both on here and at fighters) that Cro Cop has never been and will never be relevant in the UFC. I'm very glad Mir won that fight, even though it was pretty boring.

I had an amazing time live. Lost my voice screaming and booing at Mir. There were people getting up and leaving during the main event because they thought it was so boring.
One thing I'll note, the merch stand sucked.. No Tapout in attendance at all. They had 2 UFC 119 shirts, a red one that was horrible and ugly and a black one with a huge back design. They had a poster (which I bought, huge poster on high quality paper was a good price at $10), an over priced magazine, those foam UFC gloves, a hat, and a girl shirt that said UFC 93. I went to try to get a new skullcap about 40 minutes before the first prelim started, and they sold out of those while I was in line. As far as I could tell, they only had one merch stand set up in the whole building. Oh well, it saved me money.

Who won little nog's fight? Bader. Though mostly everyone felt the decision could/should have gone to Nog.

Cecil Peoples was literally looking out into the crowd most of the night, not watching the fights AT ALL. That explains why he picked Bader and Sherk. He was sitting right in front of the media area and my friend from the local newspaper spotted it himself. He seriously needs to be banned from judging.

"I have no clue about Frank. To talk the stuff he does, and then fight like he fought, that's a little frustrating. Once "Cro Cop" stuffed his takedown attempt, his heart fell out on the floor. If Frank Mir can't bully you, his heart shrinks to the size of the Grinch's. If he can't take you down, his heart shrinks to the size of a pea."
Hahaha. So true.

Mirko talks about the little conversation he had with Mir in the clinch. Mirko seemed even pissed about the wall-n-stall.
Cro Cop: "Let me go, lets go to the center and fight." Mir: "Let's go to the mat" Cro Cop: "OK - if I'm on top" Mir: We'll stay in the clinch"
"I'm sorry like a dog! I could eat myself alive! I can only congratulate Mir, he really caught me with that knee. But taking all circumstances in to consideration I think I did a pretty decent job. Its too bad because there was only a minute left to go [when I was stopped]. I had him against the fence and that was my chance. The deal with my coach was not to go in any hard exchanges until the third round because I thought I was not as prepared as him. But it turned out that I was more prepared than him. I felt more powerful than him in the third and I went after him aggressively. Too bad I caught that knee, but that's what this sport is about. I want to thank everybody for their support and apologize to the ones I've disappointed."
