I kind of got that feeling from the fight as well. Call me crazy, but I felt that Mir overly enjoyed being the bigger fighter in the cage, and too a fault. He was in there with Goliaths for his last several fights. Then with this one, he was finally the much bigger guy on paper.
He kept ranting about being stronger, and about being bigger en route to this fight. It was like he was trying to mimic the style of Brock and Carwin a little (bully the smaller guy around and impose your will), and trying to physically dominate Cro Cop in order to maybe rejuvenate some lost confidence. The problem is, he just isn't very good at that style of fighting.

He really isn't. I have NO CLUE why he decided to do the same gameplan throughout the fight when he knew he wasn't getting Mirko down.

I forgot to post this here until now, but you can check out my blog about my first live UFC experience (as a media guy no less) right here.

I enjoyed UFC 119 and loved how Mir put away Cro Cop

I went and got my pictures developed today. None of the fight pictures were worth developing at all. The lights over the cage during the fights just turned everything white. This is the best one of the bunch

Mirko talks about the little conversation he had with Mir in the clinch. Mirko seemed even pissed about the wall-n-stall.
Cro Cop: "Let me go, lets go to the center and fight." Mir: "Let's go to the mat" Cro Cop: "OK - if I'm on top" Mir: We'll stay in the clinch"
LOL, reminds me of Sonnen and Filho's conversation... "He had asked me at one point in the fight to go to the ground with him and I said ‘No, I can’t do that’ and he said, "no, no submission attempts, just rest, come to the ground, let’s rest’ and I just said again, ‘I can’t’ and just went back to fighting."

I had an amazing time live. Lost my voice screaming and booing at Mir. There were people getting up and leaving during the main event because they thought it was so boring. One thing I'll note, the merch stand sucked.. No Tapout in attendance at all. They had 2 UFC 119 shirts, a red one that was horrible and ugly and a black one with a huge back design. They had a poster (which I bought, huge poster on high quality paper was a good price at $10), an over priced magazine, those foam UFC gloves, a hat, and a girl shirt that said UFC 93. I went to try to get a new skullcap about 40 minutes before the first prelim started, and they sold out of those while I was in line. As far as I could tell, they only had one merch stand set up in the whole building. Oh well, it saved me money. I honestly hope they never go back there, worst fans ever.Ha, I was surrounded by great fans.. The guy immediately next to me spent, I'm not s**tting you, 3/4s of the show going to get beer. He would get up to go get beer and be gone for a half hour at a time and made at least 6 trips. Then the aforementioned group in front of me who sat in silence most of the night and then left during the main event. Immediately in front of me was the head of this group, a dude who was a legitimate 300-350 pounds. Every time he leaned back in his chair, I could see it breaking. Then just above us were a group that were DETERMINED to start USA chants. Every single fight with a foreign fighter, they tried to start a chant of USA. They failed the most miserably during CroCop & Mir when the building was rocking with boos for Mir. We also had one guy who walked down our isle, then climbed up to his isle through an empty seat, despite the fact that there was a stairway and isle for every row. After the third time, some meathead in a Tapout shirt with beer muscles just down from us told him off and he didn't do it again. Regardless of the morons surrounding me, I had a great time with the girl I love. If someone wants to drop $100+ to walk around Conseco and get beer, that's their M/O.

I experienced the same thing with a guy getting up several times to get beer and hearing idiots try to start USA chants. Maybe we were in the same section! haha
*edit*
Nevermind, just noticed the pic from your seat. Different area.

It's just my opinion that you guys where the worst crowd. Booed for no ing reason. Sure Mir VS Cro Cop wasn't the most exciting but did you expect Mir to swing it out with Cro Cop? Or Cro Cop to go to the ground with Mir? no, it was more of a stratigy match. Not every fight can be a ing brawl, you should enjoy a good chess fight, not that it matter though, you guys even booed the Sherk VS Dunham fight and even the Serra VS Lytle fight.
