Well poor her. She was too smart on that test. Not that I care because I am glad she was executed. Stupida deserved it for paying people with money and her ass to kill her husband..

Then why doesn't every death row inmate fake an IQ test to get off death row? Probably because they're more intellectually- disabled than this lady. So she was smarter than her doctor's who said she had that IQ? I mean she must have been to fool them into thinking she had such a low IQ. What, exactly, is the test she took? Whoever administered the test should probably have it administered to them. Well the Supreme Court were the ones to put the IQ level at 70 for mentally "intellectually- disabled." There are a lot of very STUPID people who are not intellectually- disabled. This is like lumping in really fat people with handicapped people. It doesn't make sense. Just because neither of them are able to run a mile doesn't mean that they're the same thing.

What difference does it make? She still organized a hitman to kill her husband and stepson, they should get equal treatment, you can't moan when you get it in the good and the bad, she deserved what she got.

I looked it up it was the first time Virginia has executed a woman since 1912. Also, "her fate also had drawn appeals from the European Union, an indignant rebuke from Iran." My gosh, even Iran was condemning it and they kill people too, but apparently they stop at the mentally disabled. What more do you except from today's way of doing things. Kinda obvious it's stupid if it hasn't been done since 19 ing 12 people.. Quit thinking " nothings wrong " it's dumb, yeah she's an idiot for doing what she did, lock her up for life they didn't have to kill the woman.. *thinks to myself this is a perfect time to bring up how the Government wants to lower population* This just shows how the Government is trying to lower our population... Oh here we go. "They didn't have to kill her." Lemme ask you something. Do you have a job? Do you pay taxes? Do you want your money to be taken from you to keep lowlifes like her alive in an already over-crowded prison system? Whether you want to believe it or not, our prison system IS over-populated and if we had to keep another scumbag like this woman alive, then it would just make it that much worse. The death penalty is hardly used, it's only used in extreme cases like this. And I don't give one s**t if her IQ was 70 or 170. She CLEARLY had the where withall to intricately organize the murder of her husband and step-son. And the "first since 1912" says the first WOMAN in Virginia since then. It's not "today's way of doing things." It just proves that women don't commit these serious crimes all the time. And for f**k's sake, don't get me started on "This just shows the government is trying to lower our population." If that's the case, then.......OH! Well, I'll be nice and not say what I was going to say. I will re-phrase and say, that's got to be the dumbest f**king thing I've ever read on this board. And I've read ALOT of what you've posted before, and I've also read some s**t from other stupid people, but this take the damn cake.

No problems here. She wasn't intellectually- disabled to the point that she didn't understand what she was doing, that it was wrong, and she understood the seriousness of the situation, and the charges against her.
You make it sound like she as some giant drooling intellectually- disabled person who smothered a baby to death because she hugged it too hard. That's just not the case. She knew exactly what she was doing, and wasn't daydreaming that she was in an episode of Law & Order.

Well, why was she the one to determine the date and time of her Husbands and stepsons death? She did not seem like your everyday mentally intellectually- disabled person, to be able to come up with this intricate plot to murder two people. Seems like something her defense put together. In the end, she got what she had coming to her. So you are saying she outwitted several doctors and actually does not have a 71 IQ, but a much large IQ enough to fool doctor's into believing she is really disabled? She had the free will, apparently, to do this. The state does not have free will, they can choose to stop the killings at any time. Yes, that is what I am saying. Anyone can act stupid per the advice of their defense lawyers. THERE is no way a mentally disabled person could have put together a plot like this. Instead of thinking of the injustice of 1 point and a KILLER being put to death. Maybe you should think about a father and a son killed over 250,000. It's about as stupid as this lady claims to be. I can't understand how you can defend some ones rights when they clearly were the mastermind behind this whole thing. Don't take this the wrong way, but it kind of makes me think your I.Q is at 70. By law she was more responsible for the deaths of these people when the people who pulled the trigger. Further more the trigger men probably struck a deal to get out of the death penalty.

I can't even stand the fact that the term "mentally disabled" is being used here. A mental disability, to me, is a cognitive degeneration that necessitates intensive needs: autism, down syndrome, etc. There are plenty of autism cases that have scored high IQ's. To paint this woman as mentally disabled is an insult to people with actual disabilities. This is a case of "standardized dumb as dirt".

As crazy as it sounds, there have been many studies done that show that it's actually more expensive execute someone than it is to keep them in prison. I know, doesn't make sense -- but look it up. It's ridiculous, really.

She used sex, cash and the promise of insurance money to hire two hitmen to kill her husband. Very hard thing for a mentally disabled person to do. She pleaded guilty, admitted to coordinating the whole thing, gave the guys who shot her husband money to buy the guns they used and waited 45 mins to call the cops. Sounds like a lovely individual. Well now. Death penalty seems pretty justified if that's the case. ^ I agree. I don't care what kind of person it is or the qualities s/he hold, if the person committed a crime that the court considers death as a punishment, then it must be bad. Or that person is considered a threat to other people around him/her.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the first murder in Virginia through 1912-2010. I'm also pretty sure one more person in the system isn't going to matter seeing how I'm sure we've had about 10 people put in prison since last night if you actually went and calculated prisons throughout our states. That's not going too change.

speak for yourself. canada is chill as hell. Canada doesn't have the death penalty, I'd love for the US to be more like Canada. Then move the out. Seriously, if you're so sick of this country then move. I'm sick of people always complaining about america. The woman wasnt intellectually- disabled. No intellectually- disabled person could ever come up with that plan to hire hitmen to kill their husband. This bitch didn't deserve life. Good ing riddance.

I live in Virginia and this crap has been all over the news, let me say this. There is a huge difference between intellectually- disabled and this b**ch.
Is she slow, yeah probably. But an inability to read above a 3rd grade level or whatever her disability was, does not constitute "didn't understand that banging and paying two guys to off her husband and kid is wrong."
She deserved what she got.
