Im gonna miss Edge so much but I'm glad he doesn't have to destroy his body any more. Hall of Fame of Wrestlemania 29 no doubt.

So sad that he is retiring but he legitimately did everything in wwe. Nothing more for him to accomplish really. I'm still very sad to see him end his career on such an abrupt way. HOF for sure.

I'm so proud of everything Edge has accomplished. I'm glad he's ending it before he permanently hurt himself to the point of not being able to walk. Thanks Edge for all the great memories and matches. Truly quality superstar that's bound to be inducted into the HOF.

He is such a great wrestler. Both face and heel. But better to walk out now than get really hurt in the future. I thought this was gonna be a work, but with no del rio attack and his personal ring announcer, whos name escapes me right now, breaking character and saying farewell to him on twitter, it really hit home with me that its for real.
Wait a year or two and we will probably see him back, in a non wrestling role.

This is probably what made him get more tests on his neck.

Don't know if I can post this here, but does anyone have the picture of Edge's entrance from WM24 in front of the pyro saved?

I remember his first match with Owen (I think it was) and it was one of my personal favourites. He's ended on an amazing career which I bet that no-one could or is possible to achieve what Edge has.
Thank you for everything Edge!

I thought his first TV show was against Savio Vega. Kind of cryptically ironic, but didn't he break Vega's neck with a Heilo in it? that video of Edge spearing Brodus is painful to watch. That video alone tells you this is not a work because he obviously hurt his neck there and ADR won his match 10 seconds later.

I have always been a fan of Edge. It's incredibly shocking to see him retire. I'm sad that I won't get to see him wrestle when I go to SmackDown next month. Hopefully he'll still be there in some capacity.
Thank you, Edge! (repeat a million times)

Its sad that it didnt end on his terms. I'd much rather have him retire and live his life normally then push him until his breaking point and cripple himself. If only Undertaker felt that way.
What a way to go out though, his last televised match at WM and as World Champion. I'm going to pull a Kurt Cobain quote out. 'Its better to burn out than to fade away'.

This came out of nowhere. I didn't know if it was a work or not. I guess he really is retiring.

I still can't believe it, I'm in shock. He is my favourite wrestler, ever. He is the guy that got me hooked on wrestling in 2006. I remember back then his amazing feud with Cena, and the end of it with that amazing TLC match at Unforgiven. Seeing Edge getting FU'd off the top of the ladder through two tables had me in awe. This guy has done it all in the WWE and it's so sad to see him go just like that, no retirement match, no feud with Christian, no huge big Wrestlemania moment. But he still gave all of us moments that we will never forget, like, cashing in the Money In The Bank for the first time, to everyone's shock. Spearing Jeff Hardy off the top of the ladder while Jeff is hanging on to the belt, all those promos back in the day as E&C, being alliend with Gangrel in the Brood. So many more, it saddens me so much that the one wrestler I can truly say is inspiration, and I look up too has so suddenly hung up his boots. But it's all good, because this guy simply can't go through more pain. And thank god he got his neck checked out before he went into the Ladder Match, because I guarantee he would've taken some sort of bump in it that could of royally ed up his neck, and could be in a life threatening situation.

Edge has been my favorite superstar for a long time now, way back when. I'm going to miss seeing Adam on my tv, but I hope now he can go live up in the mountains and grow a huge beard like he wanted to do when he retired. Thank You Edge
