What button is the 360 equivelant of select? In the arena, just press 'Back', then select sides, and move over to the goalie. No I didn't mean that, I meant this: And about the PES/Fifa debate. But I'm sure the PES demo is only short like the Fifa one. But personally I'd dislike winning matches 5-4, 4-3, 7-5 since its very rare you see them in football. In all my Fifa seasons last year I had a few big scores but most were pretty realistic, and thats the way I'd prefer it. On top of that, I've grown accustomed to Fifa and playing PES with funny running just makes it seem wrong.

If you fancy spending £17 you can get Fifa today early. However once the game comes out you'll have to buy it. It's basically renting it

The new tactical defending is brilliant. Don't know why most on here hate it. Adds a new element of the game and a new challenge. If they didn't add something like it we'd likely be moaning about how they didn't change much.

Been playing some Career Mode through having the EA Season Pass. Playing with QPR on Professional. Lost my opening pre-season games 1-4, and 3-0. Just signed Milner from City for 11,000,000.
If anyone wants to know any stats of players/teams, just ask and I'll post them here.

City & Brighton get? I'll want to do a Career with either of them 3 teams when I get the game. Cheers.

So I bought the EA Season pass yesterday. After playing a few games it was evident it was gonna be hard to adjust to the new defensive system. I started off playing as Liverpool vs Cardiff and proceeded to lose 1-0. I played a few more games but I was struggling to score. As I only play on professional I found this very frustrating.
So I started a career mode as manager this morning and thus far I've really enjoyed it. I skipped the friendlies and sold/loaned a few players including Maxi and some young ones. I brought in Daniel Sturridge for £23 1/2 Million and Hatem Ben Arfa for 12 million. Career mode is much improved in my opinion with bids coming in not just for players for sale but other players too. Theres a good little news section about your club as well as other big news. Transfer deadline day is awesome....It shows the big stories of the day, How much has been spent etc. I started off the season on Semi Pro and hammered Sunderland 6-1. Because it was so easy I decided to go up to Professional....I was then hammered 5-1 by Arsenal :L. I stuck it out and beat Bolton 1-0. Currently sitting in 8th in the league on 6 points. Another addition to manager mode is the ability to talk to the press about your team, your next opponent,manager etc.
On to other things. Graphically the game is looking the best ever. New little additions like throws being able to be taken quickly and the little montage seen on the demo being cool. Another new addition is the Fans table. Whatever team you choose as your favourite will get points every time you win a game. This happens all over the world and at the end of the week the teams league will have a champion and 3 teams with the least points relegated. You get points for your team whoever you play as which is pretty cool.
Overall the game is a big improvement on last year. The defending takes a while to get used to but after that it really is a joy to play. Overall 9/10

Got a few questions about Career Mode;
1. Can you adjust the prices of a player you want to sell?
2. What is the youth team facility like?

However teams will come in for a second or third offer if you reject their first one. For example Man City were determined to sign Dan Agger so they offered 8 Million then 12 then 18 etc. 2. I haven't really had a chance to have a good luck yet. From what I can remember though is that you start with no one in the academy. You then have to sign scouts and assign them to a certain part of the world and you can add what position/attributes you are looking for. After a while they'll return and report their findings. I had some 14/15/16 year olds. It'll say what their current rating is and how good they can get. You then have the option to sign.....reject or to continue scouting

What about player growth? Is it as ed up as Fifa 11's system, wherein if a player is under 21, they will continually get the 'Well spotted' thing, as opposed to +1 in stats? Have they also ditched that stupid 'this player has just joined the club, and is not willing to relocate' thing?

Cheers anyway.

Mine copy has been dispatched! There goes my weekend. Been on Ultimate Team online sorting a few things out, got a pretty good Spanish side led by Xabi Alonso. I'm hoping to start with a good Man U career then start a Cardiff one later.

I'm not entirely sure if these options are back again, but if it's like last year you can play a Career as either a Player (like Madden's Superstar mode), a Player-Manager (most like Franchise) or Manager (like Franchise but you sim every game and control every decision off field.)

Spesh ed received this morning £35 from Hut.co.uk with some totally relatable DKNY boxers, shocked they posted it so quick. It is beautiful. The graphical update is wonderfully noticeable, everything is so much sharper.
