That isn't right at all. Total lack of respect. I'd go sick on her and smash up all her stuff.
Really though, a divorce and a Burning Hammer should be enough.

We're both 35. The items she threw away were strictly for resale although valuable, probably about $1,000 worth of stuff. I recovered miraculously about $600 worth of it at a "reward" cost of about $150. She didn't it because she was mad at me, and I was selling them fast enough to please her.

While they are only figure that's still a total lack of respect. And honestly as much as I love my wife I'm not sure if I'd still be able to live with my wife if she ever did that. You should start walking around without you wedding band on and when she asks you were it is tell her you tossed it in the dumpster. then let her sit there brewing about that for a few days before you put it back on and ask her how that felt?

Do a lot of stuff to piss her off until she buys your figures back

wow that is rough bro. Honestly thats something you got to sit down and talk to her about. Throwing away her stuff or aggravating her gonna make sh*t worse. If that doesn't go well I would reevaluate your marriage. And its not a point of action figures its a point of does she really give a crap about you.

And its not a point of action figures its a point of does she really give a crap about you. That's exactly my thought as well. I know PJ said above that they're only figures, and a couple others have said the same thing. And those guys are right, in the grand scheme of things, the figures aren't too important. But this could have been ANYTHING, the bottom line is she blatantly just tossed something away without asking you, regardless of any kind of value it might hold for you. If you recovered 600 bucks out of a thousand, but paid 150 for it, you're still at a profit of negative 550 dollars. That's not an easy pill to swallow.

No, I said while they were only figures it was still a total lack of respect that she showed him. And I said as much as I love my wife I don't know if I could live with her after such an act. Because I know I would have a hard time forgiving her and if I was able to forgive her I know I'd have a real hard time ever trusting her about anything in the future if this is the kind of cr@p she pulls when she doesn't get her way. Today she she doesn't get her way with figures in storage what's it going to be tomorrow?

^ Right, I understood that. I didn't mean to make it sound like you were justifying his wife's actions.
And I, of course, also agree that I would have a hard time trusting/being with a woman who would do that. Messing around with someone's personal property, no matter what it is, is just inexcusable.

Looking at it closer, he only posted it tonight around 6 eastern time. So the timing was impeccable, he had already got calls from dealers offering him $600/$700. I was blessed that a. he was smart enough to hold out for more and b. something tugged at his conscience knowing that this new windfall was too good to be true. How in the in the world is him losing $500 to $600 selling it to you a "smart enough to hold out for more"? He lost money, you gain money, your only look after yourself and nothing more, and a bit egocentric as well. After this quote I can't take you seriously anymore, you only care about yourself. Now if I misread it, then I will forget my reply and admit my mistake. And lastly you have a wife, and I know wrestling figures is serious business around here, but no figures is worth a divorce. You people on here seem to take your wife for granted so much, it quite sickening. Counseling would be the best step for your wife if what you said is all true. I don't know what I would do if my wife threw out all my things, but I know I am not collecting wrestling figures if I have a wife. I rather spend time with her and do other stuff.

I don't know what I would do if my wife threw out all my things, but I know I am not collecting wrestling figures if I have a wife. I rather spend time with her and do other stuff. As pointed out several times - It's not about "wrestling figures" per se. It's about her blatant disregard for his property. No one should do this. I wouldn't stand for it. I also think he meant to imply that he was thankful the seller didn't settle for his first offer, because then the seller wouldn't still have the figures and he wouldn't be able to explain that his wife threw them away and appeal to the seller's conscience. He lost a hell of a lot more money than the seller did. Hell, the seller MADE money, since he basically got these figures which weren't his to begin with and then sold them. And the fact that you say that you wouldn't collect if you had a wife makes me wonder. You're saying you can't have a hobby you like if you have a wife? This statement makes me think you've got a lot of the basic concepts of relationships skewed. They're about understanding and respecting the other person, and accepting what they do. I have a girlfriend who knows I collect figures, animate, and have interest in the hobby. Needless to say, if she couldn't accept these things about me, she wouldn't be my girlfriend.

How big is your living space? Maybe the place was super cramped with these "extras for resale" just laying around. If that's the case, I can see her point if you've been holding onto these for years and you guys are running out of room.

It has nothing to do with the figures it's that she did it behind his back without talking to him about it. Which shows a total lack of respect for him. It just shows she'll do whatever she wants to get her way. What happens if/when it's not toys but something serious like family? Let's say by the grace of God she gets pregnant and he wants a bigger family but she doesn't...it sounds like she's the type that would end the pregnancy first and then tell him instead of sitting down and discussing it together. That's not a healthy honest relationship. How can he ever look her in the eyes and trust her again if this is the respect she has for him for something this small? A leapard doesn't change their spots...Once a sneak always a sneak.

Dude, as many have said, total dis respect, take em to a storage place and lock em up, a place she doesnt know about, that would be the best option.

if you guys see any ebay listings for other postings for a bulk collection of Steamboat Legends or The Rock Legends or Million $ Man or Piper Entrance greats, in the greater western, NY area let me know. Also, missing a sh*tload of TNA Toybiz late series.

How is it egocentric to want my stolen property back? I take exception to that. You really don't know what the hell you're talking about. if you ever step out of your Mom's basement, let us know.
