It's weird man. Cain had the title for 13 months and now just losing it. It's kinda weird to think that he's never even defended it. I know it's how the fight game works some times but wow.....

I can't make my mind up if this was good or mad for the sport... Name me one reason how it could be bad.

LOL at Dana being butt-hurt that Cain lost.

Yes. Boxing and MMA are very, very different. Everyone needs to know/remember that.

I still see Cain running over Junior. He's going to smother him with strikes, takedowns and clinch strikes that Junior will be dead tired by round 2, and will be finished probably in that round as well. WOW...What were you smoking when you made that prediction?? Cain running over Junior?? It was the complete opposite buddy. It was a ing smokeshow is what that was. Junior was our pick and we are goin' nuts right now!! Just like you miscalled Cro-Cop's KO over Roy Nelson, you were even more wrong this time around. I'm sorry, but it looks good on you. You claim to know so much about MMA and yet, you can't seem to pick fights worth sh*t these days. Your calls are HORRIBLE as of late. Just horrible. Looks good on ya, pal. Congrats to the NEW UFC Heavyweight champ, Junior "Cigano" Dos Santos!!! Honestly, it could've gone either way. As Teddy Atlas would say, "he came out cold, and got starched!". Let me also say that his MMA knowledge has NO bearing on picking the winner in a fight of this magnitude. I mean, you'd think he'd pick Griffin to knock out Silva or something.....

Dana getting pissed was the funniest. Just dogging Cain to the max.

I have no idea what that is, I've only been in the USA for 4-5 months now since moving from the UK, hear a lot of people talk about it though.

I don't even understand. It was quick knockouts that made Tyson the biggest star in boxing... and somehow this is bad? heh.

I was more worried about the leg kicks than I was the wrestling of Cain. Junior's boxing stance leaves him wide open and I knew Cain was going to exploit that. Fortunately for Junior, he caught Cain early on before it became too much of a problem.
I'm so happy for him. Hopefully he can hold on to that title for a while.

My buddy just gave me a phone call that kind of helps the cause of it being good for MMA/UFC.
He said:
"I watched the whole hour with my dad, who's never seen a single MMA fight in his life, and he was intrigued by the history of the sport, and entertained by the fight. He wants to watch the next one!"
The point is to bring MORE casual fans in. And that KO helped. However, I do agree they should have shown one more fight.

I never said it was a bad thing, I just said I wasn't sure, well I guess that answers my question. I hope people don't turn away from the sport thinking a fight would be over in a second. Definitely needs 2 or 3 fights next time.

It would be foolish for anyone to think a fight will go any specified time. A fight is scheduled for 3 or 5 rounds. What happens in between is in the hands of the fighters. No one can control the outcome.

Well you know for sure after seeing that, Lesnar will be rushing for a takedown three seconds into his fight with Overeem. Not that we didn't already know before, of course.
I'm also curious why Junior wasn't 100%. Either way, I'd love to see a rematch between these two in the future.

I figured if JDS were to win it would be early, but damn, that overhand right was perfect. I really thought Cain would take it into deep waters with his wrestling but Junior landed that power shot first.
Congrats Junior, your time is now!
