The Official Horror Movie Thread - TEN YEARS!

Same here. I remember seeing bits and pieces of it back when I was like 4 or 5 on TV (mostly the opening kills), but beyond that nothing. And I eventually watched it on Spike one year on Halloween and was like seriously Jason gets washed away with toxic waste in the sewer and he's a child?!?! What the hell is this?

I was pretty disappointed by ABCs of Death 2. Definitely had some strong entries, but I feel the first had way more memorable ones. I honestly just watched it and can't tell you half of the segments I saw.

Scalps is hilariously awful. I highly recommend!

The Challenge is not going good. After finally catching up I am now three days behind again. Sigh. But I will not give up, obviously.


But I also want to say a few words about Rob Zombie's Halloween II, since I rewatched it. I'm not going to claim it's a great movie, I actually liked it less this time. But I honestly think the sheer amount of hate it gets is based on the fact that it's too brutal for most people. Brutal on a level that is different than TCM or Saw. This is like, a legitimate hardcore horror film, and one I found to be "more real" (whatever that means) than most I've seen.

No problem Mox. I've been looking around online for other schedules for Halloween time, but haven't had too much luck. I was gonna post the Syfy 31 Days of Halloween, but it's A LOT of garbage (only thing worthwhile is the airings of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre).

Watched NoES 2: Freddy's Revenge for Day 14...it's meh.

I have a dream. And that dream is 31 horror movies in October. My challenge is tanking and I've hit the panic button. I am worried. But rule #2 clearly states, "Don't give up." So I march on.


I watched Leprechaun Origins. It was alright. Really, a 4.5/10. And that's pretty generous. Hoping to make a push and get this thing going. I am DVRing nearly the entire AMC horror schedule. 

Picked up Leprechaun Origins, See No Evil 2, and Purge: Anarchy...

Leprechaun is terrible. Didn't even finish it.
